First Choice Heating & Air Conditioning

First Choice was definitely the best choice! We had a complicated install because the crawl space was very shallow. The guys did a great job of getting the ducts set-up despite this major issue. The air conditioning/heating system work really well and we are pleased with the outcome. Mike was always calm, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He's a good problem solver, which was much appreciated.

When our inspector didn't show in the 2 hour period assigned, Mike waited around beyond that time because he knew we really didn't want to reschedule. We passed the inspection easily. We highly recommend First Choice!

Mike at First Choice has been servicing my A/C for many years and unfortunately over a month ago my unit 23 years old finally went out. I then call Mike to come to give me an estimate to have it replaced and I truly believe that he gave me a very fair price. He just installed the new unit about two weeks ago and I am enjoying it a lot because it is much quieter and obviously much more efficient that will save a lot of money in electricity.

Poor quality product - central ac unit, overpriced, . When called for service while the unit is still under warranty, tried to charge ~$ 2000 to detect Freon leak. Rip off company, with a deceiving name - "First Choice". Should not even be the "Last Choice" Poor workmanship is another problem.

My old AC/Heater unit was about 30 years old and it broke last month. I interviewed 5 companies and received 5 quotes. After comparing the proposals, professionalism, knowledge level, sincerity and price, I selected First Choice Heating & Air. I checked their license online and also confirmed on Lennox's official website that they are Lennox's Premier Dealer.

It is a big investment and some contractors would take advantage of the situation. I received other quotes that proposed unnecessary additional construction work or recommended the highest-end units. I'm glad that I found Mike Gerts who understands the consumer's needs and professionally advised on different options with a reasonable plan. The installation was completed within a day on 2/26/2020 with quality workmanship.

The crew was professional and pleasant. They used covers to minimize dust and cleaned up afterwards. I had a question after the installation was done; Mike stopped by the next day to double check and addressed my question. It turned out to be a non-issue. Based on my experience, I highly recommend First Choice Heating & Air for any installation or repair needs.

Careful when you are dealing with this company. We called them because we wanted to ensure if they would check the Freon if there was a leakage, since they just put it 4 months ago. After a quick inspection, my AC unit is only having capacitor issue ($15 in Amazon) to replace. They know the house is hot and we are desperate to take any offer. So without any guilt, they asked us to pay $500.

Love First Choice! Had them replace my old HVAC roof unit last year that could have been tricky (had to use a crane!) but the whole swap went without a hitch! Recently had an issue with my thermostat that Mike quickly resolved (user error...namely me), on the same day I called it in, and didn't charge me a dime! Now that's great service!

I rarely have to use my heater, but during the recent cold and rain, I actually needed it one night, but when I turned it on, nothing happened. I was able to get an appointment with First Choice Heating and Air for the very next morning, and the problem was fixed in less than an hour, and for less than I was afraid I was going to have to pay. Will definitely use them again. Very professional, and friendly, and best of all they fixed it fast!

IN FEW WORDS THEY ARE NOT HONEST COMPANY, I ask the guy to take a pictures of the Unit AC/Heater and he show me picture of website nothing of what my unit is look like. He Suggested to have to replaced the whole unit because if I repaired it its not going to last long maybe a year. Michael Gerts is not really good and honest to do the right job. He wants me to replaced the whole Unit at so expensive price.! so I decided to get a second opinion which the estimate was more accurate and bright to know my unit is 100% good that I need Freon and he can add it at a reasonable price.

He also asked me if someone else has come to checked it because they pulled some cables out and disconnected so he has figure out how to connected everything back to normal. UNBELIEABLE Of course I won't used them at all! I am glad that there is honest people to help others!

My furnace recently broke down, I called a company that advertises on the radio a lot, will not mention the name. They sent a service guy, who said it will cost approximately $1400 to repair, so I should just as well put a new one in for just under $5G. So, I asked a friend if he could recommend anybody, he mentioned First Choice. They came out last weekend, apparently all I needed was something called a pressure switch.

They installed a new one for under $300 and the unit has been running great ever since. The service man was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and will use them in the future.

In order to have our flat roof redone, our roofing company (United Roofing) required that we hire someone to move the condenser (so the roofers would have access to the entire area, unimpeded), then have the condenser moved back into place. Our roofer recommend First Choice for the job, so we hired them to do the work. (Leo came to our house and provided us with a free, written, detailed estimate of what needed to be done.) Leo offered to coordinated with United Roofing, which was a big help to us!

The work ended-up being done during the last week of April. First Choice showed-up shortly after United Roofing did, and did what they needed to do so the roofers to get their work done. The next day, First Choice returned and moved the condenser back into place and reconnected it to the system. We also hired them to service the condenser, as well as a second condenser we have for a separate A/C system.

The work went fine, and the tech was very careful to make sure the job was done properly (which it was), and he completely and thoroughly tested the system to ensure it was working properly, once it was reconnected.

Overall, we were very pleased with our experience with First Choice! The work was completed as promised and for the price as quoted.

We plan to use them in the future for having both condensers checked on a yearly basis. We recommend them; since their estimates are free it makes sense to call them. Leo is very professional and is certainly knowledgeable about all matters related to HVAC!

The big competitive companies just gave me bad attitude, stratospheric prices and made me feel anxious and uncomfortable.
