OHA Heating and Air

We have used OHA successfully in the past and we are using them again for a new A/C unit. We had an appointment with Taylor Ross. Taylor was so helpful and knowledgeable I would recommend him to anyone. Great service. Great business.

Brandon Kelley had recently recommended a rerouting of the return air duct for the finished basement room to reduce a high static pressure at the blower. He came today on time with all the needed materials and completed the rerouting. The work was very neat and workman like and resulted in a 24% reduction in static pressure--and within the manufacturer's recommended amount. I am very pleased with Brandon's skill and professionalism.

My AC upstairs went out Friday and it was late when we figured it out. I found them online Saturday morning and Kevin Hamilton, our tech, arrived mid day. He was very professional and had the system working again in short order. He had the part on his truck, no need to leave to go find parts, and had several pieces of advice, one I had never been told before.

I plan to get service contracts with them. Of note, Veteran owned business, as great website mentions, and as a retired military family we like to support our own. Having someone actually working on Saturday and showing up is becoming a rarity, plus knowledgeable and fixing the issue in 10 minutes, PRICELESS! I'm a fan and they won my loyalty. Well funny story, my main level/lower level AC went out this past Friday and this time Robert saved the day on Saturday afternoon.

Same great service, he had the part and we had ac again. They are on call both Saturday and Sunday, who does that nowadays, well let me tell you they do! Again priceless, my elderly parents live with us in the basement and we needed the ac working and now have that intangible piece of mind. Thank you all So So much!

We recently had a new AC stystem install, Zach and Tyler were the technicians and did a fantastic job. They were punctual, courteous and highly capable and efficient. They answered all the questions I had about the new system and how to use the new touchscreen thermostat. This being a large monetary investment for our home we are so happy we chose OHA.

We know the job is done well and that we can call with any questions or concerns. Everyone we have felt with in person and on the phone has been very helpful and friendly. Thank you to a great team.

Brandon Kelley came to my house to resolve some questions I had regarding my last service. He was on time and sent me a text he was on his way. We had a good discussion about potential reasons for a high static pressure at my main unit. Brandon was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He came up with a recommendation to reduce static pressure and I thought it to be a sound and economical solution--so I agree to have him perform the work next week.

OHA was very helpful and punctual. Austin did an extensive and very professional job. He was really good at containing his work area for the type of job he did. He explained further services and repairs that were needed and the prices were very fair. We look forward to him returning to get our wood burning fireplace and chimney back to 100%. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We just cannot say enough good things about Justin Barbee and the professional above and beyond service he provided to repair our unit on the weekend in the 98 degree weather. So positive, he listened and was highly competent. He even came back to ensure the unit was functioning correctly and openly communicated throughout the service call. The company (and Justin) really stood behind their service and product to ensure satisfaction! Highly recommend.

We had to have our A/C unit serviced recently because, as we discovered, our unit was running low on refrigerant during the hottest week of the year so far. Justin Barbee was our technician and he was extremely polite and expedient on servicing our unit and repairing our leaky hose. He was kind enough to run diagnostics on a couple more systems to make sure they were in working order before leaving.

I 100% recommend OHA to any homeowner. Their pricing was fair for a very busy weekend and their technicians are remarkably skilled in what they do. They made a great first impression and I am sure to use them for all of my heating and cooling needs. Extra bonus for them being Veteran Owned!

The crew that rebuilt our hvac for our 3 story townhouse were top notch. Adding a second thermostat on the top floor is amazing especially in the summer humidity. The crew that came enlarged our hvac in a day. They were professional and cleanly. They even throughly shop vacuumed the area they worked. They even were prompt in coming out for a couple service calls. Top notch company. New system was installed March 2021

Neil was extremely professional and understanding. Came like a super hero to fix our furnace and saved me and my two little ones form freezing: Knowledgeable. It is pricey but this is the second place I had experience and it's day and night. I totally trusted his expertise!

OHA did a great job relocating our HVAC system. In order to build our screen porch we needed it moved around the corner and they did a great job! We will definitely use them again.

From Steve who took the call at the call centre to Brice the technician, we had an overall great experience with OHA. They were friendly, conscientious and expertly knowledgeable and our gas fireplace was sorted out with minimum fuss or hassle. Brice diagnosed the problem instantly and fixed the fireplace, also pointing out that the replacement part was more appropriate to the repair than the original builders' component. Having tried another provider before who could not diagnose nor quote nor be more communicative, we had low expectations. However OHA definitely made our day and will receive return-business from us in future. Can wholeheartedly recommend them.

I had a gas fireplace that was leaving a funny smell in an upstairs bedroom. I haven't used this type of fireplace. I much prefer and grew up with traditional fireplaces. After I searched Google, Facebook, Checkbook.com. Nextdoor and Yelp online, I decided to call OHA. I had hoped that since OHA also inspects traditional fireplaces and services HVAC equipment that I might be able to get the technician's advice on how to maintain those items as well, but this wasn't to be.

The technician was focused only on gas fireplaces and this was fine. He quickly and skillfully opened up the fireplace and confirmed that no gas was leaking and that it was operating correctly. He told me that the fireplace could use a cleaning and that this would cost around $100 or so, but he told me this could wait. He showed me how it worked and patiently answered my questions.

The charge was $95 and I was satisfied with the service. Now, because I've wanted to get on an HVAC maintenance plan, I contacted what seemed to be the best companies in the area. Based on all of the reviews that I could find and reviewing company websites, OHA was my number one choice. The sticking point? I still need to confirm their annual maintenance plan prices. They were great for what I had them do.

Wow! What a difference between this company and the other that came this morning. This company was professional; licensed; had all the correct equipment and actually knew what they were doing. Hands down were awesome. The reason for the 3 star review is the price! The replacement part plus install was over $700 when the original item to replace with a brand new one from same manufacturer with all the parts was $400.

I am all about profit, but when one part costs less than $100, I cannot see paying $600 for labor. So if you want a company that will find the problem, call them. if you want it fixed call around before you pay the outrageous costs.

Ryan was the technician that came out to our home today to inspect our fireplace and chimney to see if replacing our gas fireplace with a wood stove would be an option. Although there is more to it than we thought he was able to provide us with excellent service. He was very informative and knowledgeable about what needs to be done and how everything works. We're getting our plans in place to make this happen and we look forward to working with him in the future. Highly recommend!

Scott was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and fix two areas of concern about our chimney and fireplace. The chimney had been allowing water to get in and now we have a great looking new chase and cap on it and we also have a new heat shield in our fireplace to bring it up to code. Very responsive too, the other two companies we called never responded.

Brice came to clean our gas fireplace and take a look at the associated remote used to turn it on and off and adjust gas flame levels. He did a nice job and was very helpful. Unfortunately, the part we need to fix the remote is pretty pricey, but they offered to apply some of the cleaning charge toward the replacement part so that was helpful. I highly recommend.

OHA came highly recommended by neighbors and friends and they truly lived up to their name. Our HVAC unit had died during a major snow storm and OHA was quick to find the parts and get an installation complete. The technicians were great and very friendly, as well as the employees at the main office. I will be recommending OHA for any service provided due to their professional work ethic and superior customer service.

I've used OHA for my HVAC service and maintenance needs for the last couple of years now. Its always a pleasure dealing with this company. From the scheduling to updates about my service technician and their timely arrival and service, I'm always pleased! I just had my system serviced after a long power outage due to the latest snow storm and Justin was right on time, very courteous, checked the whole system thoroughly, explained everything he did, took pictures of things that he checked and or cleaned for me. As always, OHA and it's employees continue to impress me! Thanks again!

Brendan came to the house and fixed both of our fireplaces. Very prompt and professional. We were concerned we would have to replace the whole units, but Brendan was able to save them. Excellent company, exceptional service. Thanks Brendan and OHA!

Emailed to schedule appointment early in the morning, replay came a day later wanting to know if I still needed service. I replied yes. A day goes by and no one contacted me. I called them and they said the system was down and they would add me to the schedule on Thur. I called Thur morning to see what time they would arrive. They could not find me on the schedule. If this is any indication on how they do business, then I wouldn't want them touching my HVAC.

Last October we were very pleased when we listened to our friend's suggestion that we contact OHA to service our gas fireplace. The two technicians seemed very knowledgeable, competent, thorough, trustworthy, and honest. When our upstairs AC was not cooling a few days ago, we contacted this company again (around 5:30 in the evening--and they answered the phone!), and Jonathan ZImmerman came promptly the next morning and fixed it on the same visit. (He added refrigerant since it was 20% low.) He was just as impressive as the others, and he seemed happy to take the time for well-communicated, thorough explanations.

One thing this terrific company does that sets them apart from the rest is taking many photos of the work they do while servicing your home or business. We highly recommend them!

OHA was an all-around positive experience for my boyfriend and I. Lynn, the receptionist was friendly and on top of returning our call to get us on their schedule. Harold came to service our home the same day as our call. He was on-time, friendly and professional. He didn’t try to oversell us on anything and made sure we knew exactly what was wrong and how it was going to be fixed. He made sure to give us our best, most affordable option for repairs. We are happy to have OHA do our future maintenance!

From the first visit to assess the issues, OHA staff were professional and friendly. When it was obvious our old system was beyond repair, they gave us a range of options and price points and when we selected the materials, connected us with their financing. They arranged an appointment for the next day and started working full on for two days. There were many challenges in this quirky older house but they kept meeting them patiently, always positive and thoughtful.

Our house has been brought into the 21C with new programmable HVAC and new hot water heater. We know it is an investment in our home and feel confident it adds value, as well as comfort.

Brendon was awesome. His crew did fantastic. We had window units before. No more of that crap. They install central heating and air. Did an amazing job. No issues so far. They worked Thursday, Friday, & Monday and then it was all done. Looks good feels a lot better in the house. I waited a couple weeks until posting a review just so I can tell if any issues would happen right after they installed and we used the system.

And as I said No issues at all. Feels pretty good to my family and I. They did awesome! Thank you so much guys. 100% A+! Oh and if you see photos of 2 spot where they cut in the bathroom. It's because there was a lack in communication on my family's side while I was at work. Brendon walked around telling them where he was going to cut and wanted them to double check and look.

I guess my family forgot to check that room or something so his guys cut all the rectangles out and one being in front of the shower. I asked him to recut a hole between the toilet and the cabinet which they did with no issue. It looks better and works out better in between the cabinet and toilet because we want to remodel that bathroom anyways so it won't be in the way and I wasn't to upset about the tiles and all being cut. I'm just happy of the new location where I asked them to put it worked out. Everything looks great and feels great. Good job guys. Thanks again. JF

On Saturday night my townhouse was getting really hot and I noticed that warm air was blowing through the vents. I tried everything I could think of to rectify this issue but nothing worked. I tried to get an HVAC company out but no one was available. Three companies including OHA responded, but OHA was able to get a technician to my house by 0800 Monday morning. Brian and Zach were able to run diagnostics, and determined that my thermostat had gone bad and had actually turned on heat instead of A/C.

They got the problem diagnosed and a new thermostat installed inside of 90 minutes. HVAC work is always expensive but the charge was in line with what I expected. The techs were very courteous and got the work done so that I could get into the office without losing an entire day.

Brendan and Bert did an outstanding job at fixing our AC unit ticking problem! They also discovered a slew of other issues that carried over after we bought our home within our attic and crawl space. They took corrective action and installed safeties/new tubing so our leakage issue won't happen again. They were fast, efficient, and I highly recommend this company!

Brian is an amazing technician and person!He came out quickly, explained everything, fixed the problem and gave me a competitive price on a new HVAC system. Next, pro install team Wes and Zach came and installed my new system, went over everything with me and made sure it was working perfectly. I couldn’t ask for a better team!!! I needed to have my HVAC system checked as it had stopped working a few days ago. I checked reviews of a lot of companies and OHA's was clearly the best. I called late morning and Brendan arrived that afternoon. He ID'd the problem and got my system back online quickly. Once repairs were made he throughly cleaned both the indoor and outdoor components.

He took pics and walked us through the entire repair and cleaning. I can't tell you how happy my wife and I were with the company responsiveness and Brendan's work specifically. Thanks again.

We originally called OHA to convert our fireplace to gas logs. They were quick and professional. Even though we had issues with the log manufacturer they were in constant contact. We love the work they did and our fireplace looks great. We noticed our Air was not cooling on a Thursday, by Friday they were out to check and provided a quote and are here on a Monday installing our new unit. I cannot say enough great things about OHA. I'll be referring to everyone we know and will certainly use again. We genuinely appreciate the customer service we've received.

**UPDATED 3/20- Huge thanks to Scott for coming out immediately and rectifying the issue I previously had! He took care of my vent cleaning personally, sent photos, and called me as soon as he was done. This is how all business owners should handle valid complaints. Because of Scott's service I am very pleased with this company and have no problem referring them in the future.

First customer service my first contact with someone with the company was great they tried to move a few calls around so they could get to me sooner right off the bat I appreciated that and then the service agent that came to my house Jonathan Zim, Who had over 10 years of experience explain to me what was going on with my system proceeded to check it out in a very timely Fashion He was able to help me out right away and fix my problem! PS forgot to ask him about a little bit of information about my system and he drove straight back to my house with no questions asked right away thank you for the service and they will be my air mechanics from now on!

What a great team!!! Everyone was so friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They replaced my entire HVAC system all within 24 hours of me initially contacting them to have a tech come out. Devon even brought out a temporary unit in case we needed it in that 24 hour time period. Also I really liked the text messages letting me know when someone was en route to my home with a small bio included.

Highly recommend OHA! They put in our new AC units and also an air scrubber and we have used them for years and also recommended to several friends who are equally as pleased.
