We started this business in 1996 when our sons were 4 and 6. They are now 21 and 23 and work for the company. Our lead technician is an old family friend. We run this business like a family and we try very hard to make our clients feel that we care about their needs. Ninety percent of our business comes from referrals, so having happy clients is critical to us.
Choosing the right furnace for your home is crucial. The right system will not only keep you comfortable, it can lower your utility bills. Today's furnaces are far more efficient than older models. There isn't one correct universal unit that can be recommended. A visit to your home will allow us to help you choose the model that is correct for your specific home.
We have many air conditioning options to choose from. Whether you are interested in a traditional whole house air conditioner, or a split system, we can help. Split systems can be installed to cool just one room, or you can choose a model with indoor units for several rooms. Split systems also come in models that heat and cool.
We are fireplace specialists. Scott has been in the fireplace business since 1983 when he worked at his uncle's fireplace store in Alaska. If you have an issue with an existing wood or gas fireplace, he is definitely the man to call. In the last 30 years, he has seen just about every issue imaginable and has solutions to fix them.

We used Shamburg to replace our fireplace insert that was installed by another company 15 years prior. The owner bad mouthed the other company the entire time--. he also convinced us we needed an upgrade to a higher end thermostat and controller. They also committed to having a surround built for us -- but after the install of the fireplace told us their fabricator wasn't able to do the job-- but could refer us to another company that could do it for an additional $800(!).
Then the day after install we noticed the thermostat wasn't working and when we called to ask for assistance we were told to call the thermostat company's customer service. It's never worked right and cost us an extra $400. We also need to find our own fabricator for our surround. Not impressed.

I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and the job Scott and Scott, Jr did retrofitting my old gas fire log and box and installing an electric fireplace. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done safely and completely. When they left everything had been fully explained with options, all was clean, and the fireplace looked wonderful. I would recommend them without reservation.

Excellent communication. They scheduled me within a week. They called the day before to confirm the appointment. They called when they were on their way. They arrived within the hour they had scheduled to arrive. He respected our home by removing his shoes and laying down mats to prevent any mess during the cleaning and inspection. He answered all my questions and showed me how I could tackle some of the cleaning myself in the future without damaging our unit.
He made us aware of his inspection results and made reasonable recommendations without trying to up-sell us on other services or products. Our fireplace looks beautiful and works better than it ever has before. We'll be calling again in the near future to schedule maintenance on our furnace and AC.

Shamburg Heating rocks! They were excellent with communication, timeliness, and professionalism. Lisa and Scott made my life easy - both with my leaky furnace and indoor fireplace. Their tech, Jeremy gave me an hours notice and showed up exactly on time. He was very helpful and explained everything thoroughly. I would recommend this company to anyone! They were awesome!

If I can give a zero or negative star to Shamburg Heating then I would. My gas fireplace was shutting down every 10-15 minutes so I called them and had them (Charlie) came over to my house to diagnose and see what's causing the shut down. After 15 minutes of diagnostic Charlie told me he could NOT pinpoint what's the cause of the problem but said he THINK it's the SIT valve.
I asked him how much and was told $840 to have it replace, I then ask him does it guarantee to fix the problem and what's the warranty. He said there is a 30 days warranty and if that doesn't fix the problem then I am out $840. I called Fireside and Lisacs Fireplaces & Stoves and explain my problem and was told over the phone that there are only three main components to the fireplace unit and they are the thermopile, thermocoupler or the SIT valve.
The cost of the part are $30, $15 and $129 respectively. They even told me that I can replace the thermo parts myself and get it from Lowes but the SIT valve should be done by them and the cost to replace the SIT valve is $249 (parts and labor) and not $840 as quoted by Shamburg. Clearly Shamburg is in the heating (con) business and not fireplace repair business. I paid $118 for their 30 minutes visit which was worthless. I would recommend staying away from this business as they are unethical and not knowledgeable.

I had a problem with our ductless heating system, with a couple unsuccessful calls to other heating contractors. After Shamburg Heating's repairman came out, our problems were entirely resolved. he educated me on proper use, and I felt comfortable calling back when I needed a repait. I have no problem recommending these folks.
