Marvin and Steven did a great job installing mini-split. They were very helpful sharing the process and cleaning up everything afterwards. I would highly recommend them.

The capacitor in our HVAC unit went & our coolant levels were low. They came out the same day, had the capacitor in stock on the truck as well as the coolant we needed. Unfortunately our unit is from the 1980s & the coolant hasn't been made in a good number of years so it's very expensive. Over $200 a lb & we needed 3 lbs. We paid extra for after hours service as well.

But we're cool as cucumbers again! Very professional, knowledgeable & friendly. It was a pleasure. If we hadn't needed coolant the fee would have been significantly less. Overall we're very pleased.

The technician came after 5pm on Friday because he forgot to check his email for his assignment, in five minutes after arriving, he wanted to use our toilet. At first, he said the thermostat was bad, replaced our Trane thermostat with a Honeywell. Then he decided that the problem was the heat pump, the switch between heat and cool stuck in heat. He told me someone would call me on Monday about what to do. Today, Monday, I found that he left the control panel electronic wide open to the weather elements, see photo attached, it rained twice between Friday night and Monday morning, I hope there were no damages to the electronic during the rains.

They came back today, Tuesday, fixed the problems, a wire to the heat pump was chewed by a rodent or some critter, put back my old thermostat, and the AC is working fine. Thanks.

Highly recommend. Bertie Heating & AC replaced by air conditioner and air handler in October 2021. The air handler has an Aprilaire filter system and Apco-X Air Treatment System. The Aprilaire filter is changed once a year when they service the air conditioner. I had the Apco X air treatment system added this year it has made a change in my breathing it cleans the odors from cooking, mold, and dust in the house and my health has improved 100%. I recommend Jim Bertie and his business!

Bertie installed our Trane HVAC in '06. We've had routine maintenance done every 6 months since then by them. Only once did we need any kind of repair. The technicians are always honest and professional. Caleb and Kelvin did the maintenance this morning. They were extremely thourough, professional, respectful and efficient. I had a very large project all new duct work, new returns added, new Bryant System installed, moved Air Handler from inside my house to my garage it was a lot of work. My team members Danny and Marvin were fantastic, they were courteous, professional, clean, friendly and dang sure not afraid of hard work. I asked about future service I want to possibly add one more line to my laundry room and eventually a mini split to a Florida Room I plan to convert, when I get ready I will ask for Danny and Marvin specifically if that means I have to wait a few weeks then so be it. Feel like was gouged out of 400 dollars to replace a simple capacitor. The technician never did any extensive diagnostic. What a scam on the price. Will be looking into a more affordable company. Oh lastly the price was increased after the repair since they "thought" I was on a maintenance contract so glad that was brought to my attention after the job was done.

After buying a brand new air conditioner from this company in 2017. We have had them out here More than 10 times for the same issue. Water continues to leak into the house. At one point we were told we needed a new condensation pump. Which we bought and paid over $400 only two years after the new system was installed. Not 10 minutes after the technician left, the drain pan was again filled with water.

We have saved every work ticket since 2017 from Bertie and have approximately 13 tickets and with the $100 service charge every time they come out, plus the $400 pump cost. We have paid them over $800 MORE for repairs to a new AC that THEY installed. To this day, the water is Still leaking into the house. But, we have completely given up and are out of money to keep having repairs. So.

We are just dealing with the water issue. It is basically a guessing game with the technicians who don't know what is wrong with the AC unit. Previous to having this new system installed by Bertie. We had a 20 year old AC and at most had one main problem with it. You'd think a new air conditioner would have less issues

We have been with Bertie for years. Always on time with knowledgeable technicians. Last year we purchased a new ac unit, they helped us obtain financing and had the job done quickly. Today Sean did our maintenance. I was so pleased with the knowledge he has and explained everything in detail as he worked. Very, very polite! Bertie has been very responsive to our HVAC needs for about 15 years now. One time, they loaned us an AC unit while our new one was on order and temps were in the high 90's. This time, they needed to come back four times to try and solve our problem and didn't charge us until they were fairly certain that the solution was viable. We have been very happy with the results.
