I am very pleased with the quality of service I received. The men were polite and came prepared with all the needed tools to do the job. Prior to the men coming out a supervisor came and assessed what would be needed. He took pictures and asked me where I would like the units to be placed. He stated we needed exterior walls etc. and went over with me where the installation would come in and out of the house.

I liked the idea that the client was made a part of the process. Additionally the men were timely and worked neatly bringing in their own drop cloths and coverings on their shoes. Upon completion they tested the units and explained to me how to set the temperature with a remote control to the desired temperatures and other features of the unit. I would highly recommend Burns& McBride Home Comfort to anyone.

Bruns and Mcbride did an awesome job. I replaced my AC unit and furnace. All techs were professional, and on time. They are all very knowledgeable about the units. The techs explains everything that they did. The experience from the beginning, the service call, to sales to installation was great! They are a very pleasant, professional group of people. They responded to my emergency call on a Sunday. Ryan was professional and answered all my question. Great experience! Unfortunately the AC unit was beyond repair. Representative came on Monday and reviewed numerous options with price points. I did not feel pressured to get the highest price option. Found an option in my range and installed it Wednesday.

The installation team was on time, Oscar and his crew were quick and thorough, cleaned up and spent time reviewing the completed installation with me, answering all my questions. kudos Responsive and professional!

I contacted Burns & McBride to provide some quotes for a new HVAC unit. They came out and provided me with three options after a thorough evaluation of my home and needs. Their sales team was NO PRESSURE. I appreciated their honest responses to my inquiries on the more expensive products offered and never felt pressured to get the more expensive option they offered.

They were flexible with the installation dates. Their installation team (Casey!) was AMAZING - friendly, clean, and did a meticulous job installing the new unit both inside and outside of my home. I am so glad I contacted this company and look forward to working with them for years to come.

Jesse from Burns and McBride was very professional and courteous. He immediately diagnosed the problem, it took longer than I expected to get the part I needed but that was the manufacturer's fault since part was covered under warranty. Once Burns and McBride received the part Jesse installed the part and spent significant time evacuating the system and recharging it with refrigerant. Very satisfied with service.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with my new HVAC system and water heater. Dominick and his crew did a fantastic job on the installation and walked me through everything they did at the end. Highly recommend. Additionally from the moment I had my estimate I new I was in great hands. Burns & McBride installed a new water heating system in my house over summer 2021. As of today, the system works excellent. The staff that installed the system were professional and knew what they were doing. They even gave me advice on fixing sump pump issue. When winter came around, my hot air heating elements weren't doing their job. I called Burns & McBride and they fixed the problem on the same day. Turns out the pipes weren't flushed during the heating system install.

When I was getting quotes for the system from other companies I felt as if I was getting ripped off - definitely going for that high commission. They really didn't inspect my current system, but offered a very expensive price for their recommendation. The quote the these companies left were vague and without any information about the system they were selling. Burns & McBride is the way to go.

Our hot water heater broke, on one of the coldest weeks of the year. I called a plumber I've used in the past, he apologized but told me he could not get there for a week. In the past when we had oil tanks, we used Burns & McBride for oil delivery & maintenance for 25 years? I decided to call them again. I left a message at 2:00pm, got a call back the same day, and they promised to send a technician out the next day.

Water heater was installed at the end of their day. Our technician was a young man, Andrew, very thorough, knowledgeable, and respectful. You could tell he has received very good training from the company. He offered me a maintenance program, which I purchased, and before I knew it, I was getting a discount on the bill. We are very happy with their excellent service.

The service was good and the technician professional. The only thing I didn't like is that I was charged upfront in full at the time I made the appointment which was almost 2 months before the work was done. I understand charging a small upfront reservation "hold deposit" but I had 2 furnaces serviced and don't thing you should be charged until the work is performed,

I was lucky enough to have one of there lead men named Dominick. He had knowledge beyond his years. I am retired but I worked in construction all my life and he and his men's work was impeccable. No report was left with me. Tech told me that the gas Heater is fairly new and operating properly. I do not know if he checked the in-line Humidifire or did anything to it, like ensuring that the water line is turned on and provides water. Service: Heating maintenance

Our heater went down overnight. I called in the morning and someone came out same day. They did a great job getting it back online and doing a PM. The bill was better than I expected. Very pleased with the service.

These three men were a delight to have working on our home heating system. They were respectful and acted in a professional and cordial manner. They were particularly cautious when walking up and down the stairs, as tubing from a stationary oxygen unit required special attention. Had water heater replaced today. We've been using B/McB for 30 years and never had complaints. Only One guy showed up to haul the old heater out and bring in the new. He left black stains all over the floors and stairs where water from the old heater had leaked while he was taking it out of the house. Said he had cleaned up the mess, But after he left I looked at it and the stairs and floor had black stains all over.

A previous reviewer had raved about how B/MdB had spread a tarp on the floor and left their home spotless. I am fuming that my 76 year old husband and I are left to clean up the mess and that he considered that he had cleaned up. Am sending an email to the company right now insisting that they send someone out to do a proper cleanup.

The company and service technicians responded and came to the property within 2 hours. The technician diagnosed and fixed the problem as the home was without heat. My experience with Burns & McBride was a very positive one and one another note, my mother used them for 15 plus years with excellent service. I am a professional Associate Broker/Realtor in Pennsylvania and use many, many contractors. I would not hesitate to refer Burns & McBride to anyone as they are top notch!

We've been using Burns and McBride for over 8 years for all of our heating and cooling needs. They've done some big jobs for us, including converting our oil heating system to gas, replacing a hot water heater and air conditioning unit. For the bigger items, we have shopped around and always end up going with Burns and McBride. Their prices are fair and their service technicians are on time, friendly and get the job done.

Your trash service is the absolute worst. I have to bring trash back up to the side of my house every week because the "sub contractor trash company" doesn't take it all. Since when is a cardboard box broken down into a 20x20 square not trash? Should have known not to use you because for years your Hvac service has been at the bottom of the list too. I'll wait til Monday since no one takes calls on the weekend to cancel my services.

They charge a lot for a service contract and it doesn't cover anything except to check the heater yearly. Then they always find major problems. It is an extra cost to check AC. They are completely overpriced. I cancelled my service contract after many years, due to the excessive cost. Should have cancelled sooner.

Today Chuck came to our house as earlier a technician had been servicing our unit and found the HVAC not working. Chuck came out and found a dead snaked wrapped around the inverter. He got the snake out but unfortunately discovered that it had burned out the unit. He went directly to the supplier and was lucky to find the part needed and came back and installed it. The HVAC is up and running and the house is nice and cool.

What a great experience! From the initial visit and bid from Jim, to Calvin and Dominick's spending long days in my basement, Burns & McBride exceeded my expectations. The job entailed converting from oil to gas and upgrading from an antiquated boiler to a high-efficiency system, and none of it was easy in my old home. But this team was skilled, careful, clean, and professional.

I really appreciated how they coordinated with the gas company, the city, the inspectors, and the other contractors, so I didn't have to. Dominick and Calvin are a great team -- and when you have people working in your home for any period of time, it really makes a difference when they are so nice!

Matt arrived at the specified time and serviced the AC unit. When he was finished he explained his findings and concerns pertaining to our unit. He had the repair parts on board his van and we told him to go ahead and replace the worn parts. I was very impressed with his expertise and that he had the repair parts on board. Great job and here's to a cool summer.

About a year ago, a young "struggling student" type person knocks on our door and offers us trash collection services with Burns and McBride for a bet less than what we were paying at the time. So we switched. Last month I get a letter from them saying that Waste Management had taken over their accounts and billing would be from them from that time on, but our rates would remain the same.

Then we get an invoice from them charging us for cleaning out our bins, which was part of the service when offered a year ago, at no charge. Then, today, I get a bill from Waste Management and they are charging us a LOT more for the same service. Bait and switch gets old, especially when you are on a fixed income. For their dishonesty alone, I would stay away from Burns and McBride.

24-hour "Emergency service" non-existent. Have a contract? Makes no difference. Heat went out early this morning, called twice, three hours later not even a call back. Here's a business pointer: if you advertise "emergency service" you actually have to respond when your customer has an emergency.

Very poor trash service.never knew if they were going to actually show up or not. Finally we had enough and cancelled service. We were told we would get at full refund from the quarter we paid. Was told that it would take a month.no clue why I work at a bank and trust me it does not take that long.in any event two month later I called because as you can guess NO REFUND was given.spoke to the rep and she was snooty.did you give back you trash cans.uh yes. oh okay your refund will be in a few days.really. horrible that I had to call I guess they were hoping I forgot and they could keep my $75 bucks.

I'd give them zero stars for their trash service if possible. I signed up with them the second week of June 2016. I was assured that they would cancel by existing service with another trash company and pick up my trash every week. Since then They have missed my trash 5 times. On top of that, they never cancelled by existing trash service as I was told by the same company that only I could cancel it.

So I now have a $150+ trash bill with my old company, plus I have already paid Burns and Mcbride for 3 months plus a pro-rated fee. When I asked if they ever canceled my service, they said they did until I called them out on it. They won't pay for the existing trash bill and when I complained about the missed pickups, they offered a 60 dollar credit. A credit is useless if you don't come get my trash. Avoid this company for trash pick up at all cost. The low cost isn't worth the headaches.

Burns and McBride is the best company ever! They must treat their employees well because everyone I've met from them has been there for years. I think all the negative reviews people have posted have been from competitors! Here's my feedback: Customer Assurance: Customers are the number one priority with this company. I have personally spoken with managers and the owners and they've always put me on their priority list. Ironclad guarantees: they have tons of guarantees to back up what they do. Do not trust anyone from this company in your home! Do not by any means start business with this company. You will be OVERCHARGED. Does not matter how long you have been with them.no respect given to loyal customers. Sorry I ever contacted them in the first place!

Horrible customer service! The techs, oil delivery persons and the woman who answer the phones on the weekends are good people with more care then the "persons" in the office that normally handle the day to day calls. The service contract was not explained properly to me so when deliveries started to come barely 20days apart and my credit card was being charged everytime without me being aware I started to get a little irritated ( over $700 in less then a month). Needless to say I was very upset.

Apparently if your a "new" customer the contract "apparently" indicates that you must have automatically delivery (whenever they see fit to come and deliver oil as often as they deem) and then charge your credit card (apparently I guess being billed is not allowed either). The woman who handles the accounts was not helpful and honestly I didn't appreciate her lack of care about me being dissatisfied with my service. I would not recommend this business.

I would absolutely not recommend using this company for heating oil. They found a list of things to repair during my free heating inspection and used every scare tactic in the book to try and make the repairs. When I had a second opinion and told the second company that the prior inspection resulted in a list of repairs, they said "let me guess, burnes and mcbride?" My family member owns a heating and ac company.

When he came out to look, he quickly realized that burns and mcbride incorrectly closed the boiler upon completion of the inspection so that the heat would not turn on. This companies values do not meet my standards of how a customer should be treated. I did contact this company after I quickly closed my account and voiced my reasons for closing my account and my experience. I was told that one of the owners would be calling. This did not happen.

I would stay away from them. We Burns and McBride replace our furnace and air conditioning units. The price was competitive and they are a pretty large company so we took a chance. They ended up sending out a completely inexperienced young technician to do the work. He did such a horrible job that we had to have them out 3 more times over the next few weeks to fix duct work that was falling down and water leaking from the air conditioner and humidifier.

Even their own technicians were shocked at the low quality of the installation. It was a mess. Also make sure they are up front about their warranty. They offer a long 10 year warranty but to get it you have to sign up for their yearly maintenance service. They want to charge us over $500 per year for that service. A complete rip off that they do not tell you up front. The work is low quality and the warranty and service are not very good. I would just stay away!

Need your oil furnace cleaned? They do a great job. Need your oil furnace repaired-me thinks NOT! They will send out a 'parts changer' - some one who has no clue what is wrong but will keep changing parts - and charging you - until it works again. The first time was a nozzle that was too small - they are the ones that put on the too small nozzle and they still wanted to charge me almost $300.

I protested and they agreed. Second time they changed all sorts of things, charged $700+ when all that was wrong was an electronic module. Find someone else, These guys will rip you off every time. If you do use them, make sure they leave behind all the parts they changed out. Oh, their fuel oil prices are 50 cents a gallon more than anyone else. 'Nuff said.

Follow up to owner comment. He and I emailed as he wanted my post removed since supposedly wasn't him. I still had original bill, from Burns & MacBride, and agreed to send him a copy. Haven't heard a word since.

They seem like a good company, I just had a bad experience with them. They used to have door to door saleman come around EVERY summer offering "super exclusive" neighborhood deals and say it was exclusive to OUR neighborhood, it wasnt.they did the same trick in everyones. All they wanted to do was offer a SUPER low "promotional" deal to take customers from waste management and the others. Longstory short i didnt switch then because the door to door salesman annoyed me.

But i kept the offer slip. Then one day Waste Management messed up bad and i wanted to switch. I called B&M and a guy with the last name McBride told me he wouldnt honor my promotional price even tho i had the written offer from the saleman that NEVER expired. They were just VERY unaccommodating
