Week of May 26, 2022. Big mistake contracting with this company! The 2 year old air conditioner that we purchased from them quit working this week. Set up an appointment for someone from their company to come out. They never showed up and never bothered to call. We had no air for 2 days temperatures in the high 90's and 103 so we called another local Air Conditioning company in Redding.
The owner of that company came out today 5/26/2022 and informed us the compressor was dead on this 2 year old AC unit. He said the unit installed by Cascade was undersized for the existing refrigerant lines and the compressor couldn't keep up. If we replace the compressor for the unit Cascade installed the same thing will happen again. The only viable option is to purchase a whole new Air Conditioning unit sized for the lines in the house.
This has been a very expensive mistake. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision if you are considering which Air Conditioning company to do business with in the Redding, CA area.

Never, under any circumstances, call this company to repair a gas fireplace insert. The technician didn't have a clue as to how to fix our problem. I wrote a check to get the guy out of here and then called the company to say that there should not have been a charge since the guy didn't do anything. They refused to refund the $80! Very few companies in this relatively small city survive with service like that! Be aware! Their techs are not trained to do anything!

The tech was great.however after waiting almost a month and calling for updates continually I was told that the parts to my stove were unavailable so I thought I would have to purchase a new gas stove. Before I made the plunge to purchase a new gas stove I called back again and asked if there was somewhere else that could help me and so they directed me to Rainbow Stoves.
I would have appreciated this information right away and that their was somewhere that might be able to help me. For this reason I was not happy with the customer service. I have a tech coming this Friday after waiting for over a month in the coldest part of the winter without my stove. Rainbow Stoves asked for pictures of the parts and they feel pretty confident it can be repaired.
I will know this Friday for sure, as that was the soonest I could get on their schedule. Thank you for asking about my experience and I wish you well as you continue to serve others.

Very professional and helpful! Tech came out to fix heater, quickly found the issue and was able to do a temporary fix while he ordered the part so we're not left without heat! He even showed me what was broken, answered all my questions, and assured me it would be fixed asap. The Tech even came out after hours to accommodate our work schedules and epileptic dog (she can be set off by strangers). Very personable as well, talked about family and travel! SUPER IMPRESSED and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I used Cascade Comfort for over 10 years, until recently. We had problems with our AC compressor making a VERY loud noise. After the second time it happened, Cascade replaced the compressor and said if it happens again, let us know, and we'll replace the entire unit. Well, it happened again and, as you can guess from my rating, THEY LIED! I was told the unit wasn't making the noise when the tech arrived so there was nothing they could do.
I am SO disappointed in the owner Andrew Dempsey. I called twice to complain and express my concerns about the integrity of his company and his technicians lying to customers. I never received a call back.

AC went out and everyone I called couldn't help for a few days. I called Cascade late in the afternoon and they were able to schedule next day. Arlene came out and I can not say enough about how awesome she is! She was extremely knowledgeable and her customer service skills were a breath of fresh air! My AC quit working on a Sunday evening when the temp was over 105 degrees. I called Cascade Comfort the next day and they sent a technician to diagnose the problem. Their technician, Arlene, ran a few tests and determined my unit was low on refrigerant. I learned that Arlene was college trained on HVAC repair and was very knowledgeable, on both AC and heating systems.
She had my AC unit working again quickly. I was impressed. As a local home builder and home owner, I have used Cascade Comfort Services for over 30 years. I will continue to use their services and recommend them to my friends.

We scheduled air duct cleaning after we had completed some remodeling work on our home. John was very professional, brought all the right tools for the job, and used negative air pressure methods. Purchased air conditioner/furnace from Cascade end of May. Because I traveled a lot in June I wasn't aware the new unit wasn't working correctly. Entire new unit froze up first week July with temps at 105. My assumption: either a bad unit or not installed correctly. Have you heard the expression:"if you want it done well, ask a woman to do it."? Arlene is the young woman sent out to diagnose and and fix my unit.
She was thorough and made sure the problem was corrected and working properly. I was very impressed with her knowledge and her commitment to making sure I was happy with the installation. 5 stars to Arlene and 5 stars to Cascade for hiring her.

Of course my ac died Friday July 2nd at 7p. I called Sat am and they sent Corey who knew how to service my 32 year old ac. Even my dogs liked him! It was hot in the attic. He luckily had the same motor in his van. He was worth the holiday pay rate! Now my dogs and I can relax this holiday weekend! Thanks Corey!

I absolutely love doing business with a company that schedules a maintenance app't, calls 30 minutes prior to say they are in their way, shows up on time and charges exactly what was quoted over the phone. Matt was friendly, professional, thorough, explained everything and was obviously knowledgeable about my aging A/C unit. He went out of his way to be helpful. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

After three years in our house, spending crazy high-dollar amounts to REU each month to NOT have a cooled house, Andrew and his team came in and diagnosed our a/c problems, giving us several options for fixing the issues. There was no pressure at all in which way to go, and after choosing the option we felt was best for us, we FINALLY have the. wonderful, cool air we always wanted. Last week during 110 degree heat, our HVAC system decide to quit after 20 years of great service. I called Cascade, the next morning Rick came out and gave me a quote. Their crew started the install within 24 hours and had the new system up and running the next day. This is a great company, I have used them over the years for service and they are always prompt and professional and reasonable. I highly recommend Cascade Comfort Service. The technician came out and listened to me. Donovan asked me what his purpose was of coming to my home. I informed him that I have allergies and they were acting up excessively. Donovan w Arrived at my home exactly when he said he would. He assured that he would take care of the job. I was given a clear price and a clear outlook of the process that was going to take place. these guys explain everything and they are upfront and honest abt time and price. Just spoke with Kate at Cascade Comfort. They're highly recommended and currently busy with prior commitments so she was willing to provide me with another quality repair service as our air conditioning unit is out and they are booked. I always think highly of a company who not only provides friendly, professional, quality service on the phone (I'm a switchboard operator), but who is also willing to think of their customer first and, if they are booked, refer to another reputable business for service.

An honest review. Sales was on track with problem solving, unit recommendation, availability and prompt installation. During the installation process we encountered problems with damage to our home. The damage, holes in the side of our home and over cut sheet rock for registers, could have been avoided with better communication from the installer to myself (we didn't authorize holes in our stucco) and better communication between the installer and his helper (holes cut wrong size and crooked). Having said all that was to tell you this, you never know how good a company is until you have a problem. Cascade is real good, they sent a contractor to repair the walls, another to repair the stucco and one to paint.
We are pleased with the work, the correction to the problems, and we will be recommending them to others as well as having them do work for us again. I would rate them 4* for Expertise (communication needs help), 5* for their Problem Solving ability and 5* for Service. My service rating is based on 10+ years of them servicing both residential and commercial units. Overall rating of 4 Stars.

I've had two experiences with Glen and crew. The first was when they installed a mini split in the historical building that houses my business, in Red Bluff. Great communication, efficient service, pricing was much more reasonable than any of the other quotes given (according to the property management company). based on that experience I had Glen come out and give me a quote on mini splits for my home. after determining my needs and inspecting my home, I was given 3 quotes; one for a 4 head mini-split, and two for traditional HVAC packages to replace my 42 year old original-to-the-home unit.
I opted for the larger of the rooftop packages. the quote included, installation of the new unit, a bit of repair to my existing ducts, removal and disposal of the old unit. they were able to schedule the installation within a few days, they showed up promptly, Chris (the tech) and his co-worker (who name I forgot) were polite and communicative. they cleaned everything up as though nothing was done. I am beyond delighted with the entire experience, and I can genuinely and enthusiastically recommend their services.

When our heater went out I called several repair services. Due to all the storm damage I was told it would be at least 2 days before anyone could help us. It was our only heat source. I was finally able to reach Cascade Comfort who told me they were extremely busy but would send someone at the end of the day. True to their word, at 4:45 pm they. arrived.
Their technician Cory found the problem immediately and even had the parts in his truck. We had heat within 20 minutes! We would highly recommend Cascade Comfort Services.5 star service. Thank you Cory.

A few years back we had an HVAC system installed in an older home on the West side. Rick (owner) oversaw the installation and as I then lived in the Bay Area he kept in constant contact. We have had Cascade Comfort service for our four rentals (w/two installs). We've since moved back into the area and bought a home with an AC system and a heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger has had constant problems and the home warranty with fly by night service was worthless. Cascade Comfort has kept the system up and running (it has had it's problems) and have come back to double check on it. This morning Gabe (technician) came to do our semi-annual maintenance. He needed to use the hose spigot that I had a a drip system and timer on. He thoughtfully asked before disconnecting anything and me find dead plants later on. They've given us nothing but exemplary service over 17 years.

Of course on the hottest day of the year our Air Conditioner died (117 degrees). Cascade Comfort whom we've used for years was amazing to squeezed us in the next day! That is pretty much unheard of in this busy season. Thank you for coming right out! Riley our repairman was on time, very informative and quite quick! Avoid this company, especially for A/C cleaning. and especially if you are sensitive to dust and allergens. They will clean your A/C vents with something called a rotobrush. it basically pushes dust around and "vacuums" but has a very limited range. they do not perform negative pressure cleaning. so if there are dust and debris deep inside your A/C duct, this company will not get it out. actually, I honestly believe that they made it worse by agitating whatever was inside the ducts, because my family and I have been coughing more and more since they came by for the "cleaning". Waking up at 3am because of trouble breathing is not fun at all.
I have since found a company that will perform the negative pressure cleaning (thank goodness), so that this ordeal can come to an end. For the amount of $$ Cascade Comfort charged, I expected a professional level of experience. Wrong. You get ripped off royally. They never bother to tell you that there is NO NEGATIVE PRESSURE CLEANING. If they had a conscience, they would tell you that, since that is what most people are expecting.actually CLEANING inside the A/C DUCTS. Oh, and they will leave a mess, so get ready to clean up after them. Because, of course, cleaning up after oneself is not included in the $800+.and yes, I am awake once again at 3am coughing, coughing, coughing.

Absolute 10/10! We just had our old system removed and a new system installed, even though our house is older and they ran into some problems (with the house and the roofers that they had to coordinate with!). they were very professional about it and made sure everything was installed right and worked right. chris and Riley were our technicians, they showed up on time, worked hard, and were very polite. they even did some work that the roofers were supposed to do without batting an eye. Definitely one of the most professional outfits we have had work on our house! Highly recommend!

Our a/c went out on a Sunday when it was 110. I called on Monday and set an appointment for 4pm on Tuesday. I received a call late Monday asking if they could move the appointment up to noon Tuesday and I said Yes! Then Tuesday the tech arrived at 11am and repaired our system by 11:45am at the most reasonable rate. I was happy to pay! I will definitely recommend and use them going forward!

Excellent service! Our air conditioning wasn't working when we returned from a vacation at the coast. I found Cascade Comfort on Yelp and noticed the Best of the North State Logo. I called and they had no availability for today, but scheduled me for service tomorrow. Just a few minutes after hanging up, I received a call back that the owner had just arrived for the day, and could come to my house within the hour. He was at my home by 8:30 a.m. and the AC was back in service by 8:45 a.m. Very professional. Very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.

I came home from a business trip to find my AC "broke". I had recommendations for Cascade Comfort. I called them at 8:00 PM at night. They were on call and there within the hour. The problem was identified and solved in about an hour. I am very happy with their service and will be signing up for a maintenance contract because of it.
