We recently contracted with Muirfield Mechanical to install two mini-split heat pumps. They were one of four contractors from whom we received bids, and their bid was both timely and competitive. They are a Mitsubishi Diamond installer, which means that Mitsubishi's warranty is extended to 12 years instead of 10. The product manager, Nate, was very helpful in explaining where to place the heat pumps, and was an excellent problem-solver in managing a supply chain issue that emerged during the process.

The installers were professional and always on-time. The electrician Muirfield uses, Bogen Electric, did an excellent job with the electrical hook-up. Additionally, Muirfield's office manager took care of registering our product warranties for us, and filed the rebate form with our local electrical company. We are very pleased with the heat pumps, and highly recommend Muirfield Mechnical.

I'm in the process of replacing a split system furnace/AC unit. I've reached out to 3 different contractors for quotes, I choose Muirfield because of some positive reviews from my neighbors, well they were the 2nd to arrive of the 3 and my first contractor was very helpful and informative asked me what I wanted and walked through the entire house and spent 45 minutes building a relationship with me, I received there quote the next day, the 3rd contractor was the same spent time finding out what my needs were and again there quote was received the next day, now I'm into the 6th day since Muirfield has come and gone, they spent a very short time here and I never got the sense that their was a concern for my needs basically in and out, but he sounded confident about the job and myself being in construction gave him the benefit of the doubt and awaited for the quote, I'm into the 6th day as I mentioned before and still haven't received anything from them and I've called a couple days ago to see when I would get it so I can make my decision because my AC doesn't work so id want to get started ASAP, with all this said I'm very disappointed in the lack of response and communication.

I had high expectations on them, but I'll never know, we feel that we've been kicked to the curb. I can't say anything negative about there work but on there responsiveness and walk through for the quote, I'm not very happy. The gentleman was very nice who came, but that's about all I can say that was positive. Maybe they're just to busy, I don't know.

Muirfield Mechanical has done a great job installing furnace and central AC at my house. The crew came on time, very polite and professional, let me knew before they leave each day, and the installation was perfectly done. I love the quality of work they had performed. They also helped to apply for the energy rebate and file the product registration. I would definitely hire them again for my next job.

We are more than happy that we hired Muirfield Mechanical Services to replace our old electric heat pump with a new one. I was pleased with every aspect of the project. The price was reasonable and the installation quality is great. Everyone I interacted with -- the estimator, the installation crew, the project manager, and financial manager -- were prompt, friendly, and willing to answer all my questions. Moreover, the heat pump installation required an electrical upgrade, and so the company helped me out by scheduling their electricians for me.

Company sent a tech who was not vaccinated and did not even have the decency to wear a mask. The Delta variant is 1000 times more contagious than the original and even vaccinated people can get very sick from it, though they may not die. No one in New England should have to be exposed in their own home. Sent tech away when we found out. No work done.

Our AC Compressor died in the middle of a heat wave, much to the consternation of my 9-months-pregant wife. Muirfield was able to work with us to source a replacement and get it installed super quick, all around a holiday weekend as well. Nathan was incredibly helpful and understanding, and we couldn't have asked for better service from the tech who came out to diagnose the issue or those who did the installation of the new unit. Denise and Linda were both very patient with me while I called probably too often as I scrambled to find a solution to our 90 degree house.

I didn't exactly cost compare, as expediency was our priority, but Muirfield was clear and transparent with their costs and were willing to discuss options with me to find the right unit.

We had a multi-unit split system installed to supplement a few rooms with marginal heating and cooling. Their design advice was very helpful and professional, and costs were very reasonable. Scheduling of work was accurate, the installation crew came a few days early to confirm the layout details, including some challenging three-dimensional pipe routings.

They arrived on the promised date, and were efficient and responsive to our preferences about field conditions and visually important aspects, and were great to work with. As an architect who has worked with many HVAC contractors in the past, I thought Muirfield did an excellent job all around and highly recommend them.

We had our 14 year old Carrier heat pump replaced with a Mitsubishi system - outdoor unit, main air handler, and added a split ductless system to a previously unconditioned space. Muirfield did a great job - waited until the winter weather broke a bit and we had heat in 2 days. Main drive was to get the unheated space heated and improve on the brutal electrical monthly bills.

Only have a month under our belt, and better than the prior year. Dave + Dave handled the install, were neat, friendly, and communicated well during the process. Give these guys a call!

After getting estimates from two other companies in the area to replace my 20+ year old gas furnace, neither of which I was comfortable with, a friend recommended that I call Muirfield Mechanical. I am very happy to pass on the recommendation. Everyone I dealt with at Muirfield was professional, knowledgeable and helpful; the work was scheduled promptly, communication was excellent, they understood and were responsive to the restrictions on exterior venting imposed by my condo association, and their prices were very reasonable.

They were a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them. And, I shouldn't end without adding that I am very happy with my new furnace; their recommendation was exactly what I wanted.

They installed a Mitsubishi Split Duct unit in our basement family room. They were a suggested installer from the Newton HeatSmart coach and they did an excellent job. After reviewing several options, they provided a prompt estimate, and arrived exactly when they said. Jeff was very responsive, and the installation was fast and flawless, even though they encountered a couple of unexpected challenges with our home.

They complete all paperwork and were very thorough and professional with all of our interactions. On top of everything else, their prices were very competitive. I would not hesitate to use them again.
