At the peak of summer our cooling system bailed on us. So I decided to change the entire HVAC. Nashoba gave me the best quote, 10% lower than five others. Every other vendor mentioned they are not available for 15 to 30 days but Nashoba team gave me an appointment with I. 48 hours and installed in 6 hours. Very professional and elegant. Harriet coordinated very well. Thank you all for your swift response.

Note: This review is related to the customer service experience only. We have no issues with the quality of the work itself. We purchased a new build that had our HVAC installed by Nashoba H&C. A few months after moving in, we wanted a humidifier so we contacted an Aprilaire supplier who did the work but could not do the plumbing. We hired someone locally to do the plumbing which was a mistake as the work was sub-par.
This is where our first experience with Nashoba H&C started. I reached out asking if they could take a look and, upon arrival, was told immediately that any work that is not performed will null-void any labor warranties. Furthermore, I was told that I was lucky that I called when I did because I had only two more days to register the appliance, or I would have missed a 10-year warranty on parts!
The main point here - absolutely no communication from Nashoba H&C that 1) appliances required registration within a certain timeframe 2) any work in or around the system would void out the warranty. Again, all good things to be told (in a much nicer way) beforehand. A few months later, we wanted to move some exhaust piping as it was blowing into our firepit area.
I contacted the developer who told me he saw no reason that we couldn't do it. I then called Nashoba H&C who told me that I would need to have a plumber do the work. So, I called a certified plumber (in the union) who did the work for me. Unfortunately, we started hearing noises a few days later so I called Nashoba H&C again. I was on conference calls at the time so I asked my wife to show them the issues.
I won't mention what was said as I wasn't there but I will say that my wife was upset by his disrespectful comments. The next day, I called Nashoba H&C in an attempt to work through this issue and asked to speak with the GM or owner. The person who answered said he was a part-owner named 'Sam' and he knew who I was. I began telling him that it was Nashoba H&C that told me that I needed to hire a plumber which is when "Sam" immediately became defensive.
His attitude was one of a child where he would cut you off and speaker over you to defend himself. I tried to remind him that I was a customer of his and to please hear me out of which "Sam" responded "wrong, you're not a customer anymore" and then hung up. I called 3x afterward but no one responded. As our developer said, "I can't have vendors that help build my homes yell at my customers".
Enough said. Thankfully, we are very happy with our new HVAC company who knows a thing or two about communication and professionalism. One last point. There is a person there named Harriet who was truly great. She obviously understands how to speak to customers and I appreciate her efforts.

I got a very high estimate. I was told that this was worst case scenario since they didn't know exactly how much work it was going to be. They ensured that I would get charged for only the work performed. They sent 2 guys, spend a total of 4 hours. I got a bill for $2200, no breakdown between materials and labor. I know for a fact that the used minimal material, so that means these guys are charging over $300 per hour. I think you can find better options elsewhere where they actually tell you their hourly rate.
