Service Specialists, Inc. was founded in October of 1984 by father and son, Robert and Scott Ollerman, with the goal of becoming Southern Wisconsin's leading heating, ventilating, air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, ice making and food service equipment service and sales leader. In 1988, Robert lost a 9-month battle with lung cancer.
We are pleased to offer service, maintenance, design and sales of all makes and models of commercial refrigeration equipment. The job was started late, completed late, and the AC leaked and damaged my flooring. They have, however, made arrangements to have the flooring repaired.

Service Specialists is our go to for our kitchen equipment repair at Culver's company restaurants, both on the hot and cold side. Their professionalism and quick response keeps us providing our guests with the ButterBurgers and Custard that they love. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I was surprised to see negative reviews here because I had a very good experience with Service Specialists this past winter. My 40 year old furnace was dying due to a bad gas valve and when my furnaced stopped running on December 30th I called their after hours number at 4:30am. They offered to page someone but also offered to dispatch one of their normal morning staff at regular rates, so I was still able to get someone out to my house before 8am at normal rates!

They were able to get the gas valve loosened up so I could have heat and then they came back and installed a new power-vented furnace on New Years Eve. For two trips, a new gas furnace, plus installation (including cutting new exhaust holes and sealing off an old chimney) I paid less than $2,800. For reference, it's a 1,050 sq ft single story ranch home with a basement so I didn't need anything huge, but when I can't easily find a comparable deal. Great price and they made everything easy for me and they provided friendly service, so I'll be happy to work with them again.

While the technician was a very nice person the service we received was lacking. Due to incompetency, errors, and failure to know and understand the equipment, our business suffered over $8000 in loss between Service Specialists bill, a second company's service bill to fix the problem, and loss of product, loss of sales. Band-aid fixes didn't fix the problem and failure to reinstall bolts and tighten bolts caused additional failures which led to well over a year's worth of problems.

Do not use this company for kitchen equipment issues. While they cut their bill in half after complaining from me, they should have cancelled all bills and covered the loss themselves.

Upon purchasing a new home, my building inspector missed that my AC unit was not functional. I called Service Specialists' after-hours service team at 9AM on Saturday and a tech was there before 11AM. My service technician Ryan was professional, knowledgeable and personable. Throughout the replacement process, each point of contact was polite and made it a point to explain their course of action. Excellent customer service!
