I needed to have my air handler and ducts cleaned by Adam and Robert who did a great job. It was a pretty big job and they definitely were able to get it cleaned up to my satisfaction they even showed me before and after pictures. I had a 9-11 window however they called me earlier to let me know they were on the way so the job was actually started sooner which was great. Adam and Robert were very courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend the company for your a/c needs.

Max showed up on time very professional, did an absolutely over-the-top outstanding job oh, I could not be more pleased with the workmanship that Max provided. Jason was working with Max and he did an amazing job as well installing the condenser outside. All in all I was provided one of the best experiences I've ever had. Both of the gentleman we're extremely friendly, cleaned up after themselves all the time, and made sure that I was 100% content. Thank you very much for all you did I've never had such a great experience like that before.

If you're a first time home owner - this company isn't for you. They will take you for a ride. We called on a Monday for hot air coming through the vents - the technician fixed the issue and said our unit is old and needs to be replaced. Great. Thanks. The air is cold and $500 later it's working so see ya next time. The following day we happened to have the yearly visit to clean the system.
The guy said "it's old and needs to be replaced at some point - call us when you're ready". Cleaned it for $60. The next day - a hole has magically appeared in the bottom of the unit overnight and caused a leak that is taking down the drywall ceiling. The same technician came out and said it wasn't his problem and that it needs to be replaced. Water is still dripping.
He had zero solutions or temporary fixes for the evening. To top that off, he said his supervisor would be calling us and he never did. To sum it up- a hole was missed/ignored for two days by two different technicians in what appears to be an attempt at selling a new unit. Terrible business. Will not ever use or recommend again. Update: we had someone come out to quote us on a new unit and someone else come and look at the leak.
The sensor on the pan was confirmed to be not functioning correctly, allowing the drip pan to overflow. When the unit was opened, it was clear that it wasn't cleaned during the yearly service, otherwise it would have been clear that there was an emergent issue. A clog was pushed through the system - something we asked if the Bay Area technician several times, to which he replied he had sent dye through and could see some come out so there is no clog.
Both technicians that came out confirmed that not only were things missed - but things could have been done to prevent my drywall ceiling from getting so damaged. Bay Area so far has offered a $60 refund and the rest of my money spent credited towards a new unit from them. What a joke. As of now, there is zero leaking and we are buying a new unit from anyone other than Bay Area.

I am very happy with the services from Bay Area HVAC from installation in 2013 through yearly checkups. Every service tech has been honest, thorough, and professional. Recently Mr. Tom Lipscomb conducted my preventive maintenance. Tom is a gem and gentleman. He answers questions, is knowledgeable and does a complete review. I belong to a community of 5000 condos and word gets around. Keep up the good work Bay Area!

I was frustrated with my HVAC system when my house was not cooling in March, after spending around $1,800+ in February on some repairs. This time, Bay Area sent Shawn over to troubleshoot. Shawn found that my system was completely frozen over and in need of a new coil, which should have been replaced back in February. I was thrilled when Dennis, Shawn's Manager agreed that I should not have to pay further for the fix when it wasn't handled correctly the first time around.
Thank you, Bay Area Heating and Cooling for sending Shawn to help me and for being honorable by following good ethics & business policies in not charging me further for repairs that weren't handled correctly the first time. I really appreciate your help and am thankful for being honorable. I am very impressed with Shawn's knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

New AC system was installed but installers could not get the new system to work with the existing zone controller. Tony came back today to sync up thermostat zone controls and was extremely polite and thorough. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed and corrected the issue. Very happy customer. I had probably the best AC maintenance experience with Robert. He performed routine maintenance on my unit but was very thorough and followed a checklist to ensure he covered everything. Also provided pictures as evidence. Made suggestions of what I could do to improve my system but did not try to sell me anything extra. They are not the cheapest but I feel like I finally got good honest service for the money I paid. I was so impressed I bought the yearly maintenance program.

I've used Bay Area Heating and Cooling for years, including a full AC system replacement. Never been disappointed in any way. After the installation of the new system the city permit inspector commented that they always do good work. That says a lot. Brian Jenezon patiently and professionally connected our new wi-fi thermostat to our cell phones. We have been trying to troubleshoot connecting our phones to our new thermostat since we had our new ac unit installed 2 weeks ago with no success. Brian wore a mask without us having to ask him and he was very helpful and courteous! We highly recommend Brian to resolve AC issues!

The tech cleaned out the drain pan and blew out the drain. This was done just 2 months prior. The charge for this was roughly $100 more than charged for the previous service not counting the service charge. This use to be a great AC repair service with knowledgeable techs. Now it seems they are more interested in selling add ons. The techs do not seem to have the knowledge as shown before.

EDIT I was contacted by the owner after he had reviewed the services by his technicians. He stated that they had "Let me down". He sent his best technician out and the problems were repaired. He also reimbursed me for the previous poor repair that I had been charged.
It takes a lot of courage for an owner to do this and I applaud him for this. I'm sure that actions such as this will repair his company to the high standards that it once was and I would recommend them for and of their services.

Our unit was not emitting warm air so we called for the $69.00 service fee. The technician found fault we the thermostat. When we asked about a new thermostat we were told it would cost over $400. Needless to say we were shocked. You can buy a thermostat at any hardware store for under $50. We paid for the service call and sent him off on his way.
Very disappointed with the company. I will not recommend it to anyone. The technician was very knowledgeable, respectful and very professional and only doing his job so this does not reflect on him.

Service: REPLACE FLOAT SWITCH Let me start by saying i have an over 6 year history with this company and have been normally very happy with their pricing and service. I have recommended them to friends in the past and to be honest, I was shocked by the cost involved in my service today. I have a preventative maintenance contract with then and have renewed this contract every single year since i bought our home AC system directly from them.
I mention all of this because they have been a good company with good techs ever since i began working with them. But today's repair costs seem astronomical especially when receiving quotes from their competitors. I was charged $365.13 (which was my discounted rate since i have a contract with them) for a 15 minute repair and a very inexpensive part (a FLOAT SWITCH).
Two of their competitors quoted me approx $165 (after i already had the repair completed) which included a fee for them to come out to my location and inspect the system. I do not pay this type of fee with my preventative maintenance contract which means the $365.13 cost was just for the part / repair. Its difficult to write a negative review like this for a company that has seemingly treated me well and always been very reliable with good techs and service.
But after speaking with custom service / billing about this issue they did confirm to me that these costs were correct. They even mentioned that if the repair had taken 4 hours or 15 minutes it still would have been the same cost because they establish their billing based on the job not the time it takes to complete it. Take my review as you will, I am just presenting you with the facts of my experience with this company.
Before today, i would have had nothing but positive things to say about them, but this is not the type of expense that is easy to swallow when their competitors are so much cheaper for the exact same repair. I hope your experiences with them are better. UPDATED (I also updated score my review score from 1 star to 3 stars) Received a phone call from Jennifer in customer service regarding my complaint about the costs of the repair. Jennifer was very polite, and offered me a 1 year extension on my service contract (a $200 value) due the the negative experience i had earlier today.
Like I mentioned above, this company has a long history of treating me positively as a customer. While I still believe that my previous comments are relevant, the fact that they went out of the way to try and make things better showcases that they are a company that tries to work with their customers and treat them well. While not my preferred solution to this situation, I did think it was a generous offer and it shows that they do care about their customers loyalty and opinions.
Also important to note, Jennifer was very honest and polite throughout my discussions with them. I will not remove the previous comments I made because i want to be completely honest and up front with my situation and experiences. But once again, they have treated me fairly in response and it was important to me that i mention this and update my review to reflect the positive customer service that did occur after the fact.
It is important to note that they asked me to update my google review but did not force me to do so, or remove my previous statement or update my score. Any changes that were made were done so voluntarily. Take my comments as you will, they are just an honest recount of my situation today and all of the information has been truthfully represented throughout the process. The investigating associate from the heating and cooling company arrived on time as promised and went right to work in order to determine the problem I was having with my central air and heat machine. took about 10 minutes to find the problem that was causing me so much turmoil I wanted to get the thing to keep my home warm during the coming weeks of winter just ahead. Brian, was able to solve the mystery and respectfully he suggested what it was that I needed. we discussed it for a few minutes and cam to the conclusion that would suit my needs the best.
He was able to explain what it was that I needed done. and I was all set and ready to go. apparently my troubles will be over in a few days. The man was courteous and respectful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Bay Area Heating and Cooling to anyone with a similar problem with their A C and Heating equipment.

Have been with this company for over 5 years. Always great a/c maintenance service. Today Eddie came and was extremely thorough and took the time to discuss the condition of our system, showing us photos of some areas of concern due to aging. Very professional and knowledgeable and friendly as well. Will continue to renew our maintenance agreement.

I did a Google search for local AC companies and couldn't help notice the awesome reviews. I made a phone call yesterday to schedule service and the lady on the phone was friendly and professional. I signed up for their annual maintenance program. Today, Eddie gave me a call before he arrived which I appreciated. He was so friendly and answered any question I had. VERY professional and I will be asking for him again! He provided fair estimates and did a thorough job addressing our concerns with both our units. Thank you Eddie! We appreciate you!

Bay Area Heating and Cooling has been my HVAC company for the past several years. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and trustworthy. My AC unit recently failed and they were at my house with a replacement the next day. That is amazing! Their technicians were professional and did a great job installing the new unit. Their prices are competitive and they are willing to listen to my needs and preferences. I give them five stars!

I had used their services for several years while I had my condo rented and lived out of state. They were always very responsive, professional and good at what they do. I just had my A/C replaced, they gave me a good price on a new Carrier unit, installed the new A/C in the time they told me it would take and were very professional. They followed up the day after and organized the visit to close the permit. I highly recommend Bay Area, they are professional and always provide great service!
