This family-owner business provides excellent customer service and works tirelessly to complete honest, exceptional work. Doug and his son completed a large job on our house a few years ago, replacing our AC unit, ducting and whole house fan. Doug is innovative in his field, installing a system he invented for our whole house fan so that hot air from the attic doesn't escape through the vents.
We have saved thousands of dollars with his work. Recently, he came to our rescue to install a split unit in our guest house on an emergent basis and again did not disappoint!

We had Newman's Heating and Cooling do a major installation of a York heating and air unit, including take down of hall ceiling and replace. Doug and his team did an awesome job. Quality of their work on my A/C unit speaks for itself, it works with no worries. They are a local business that gets the job completed, better than any of the larger retail services I've tried in the past. They gave me a time they would be at my house and met it. The strangest thing happened when I hired these guys, they were perfectly nice and helpful when they came to my house. But when I texted them a couple of weeks later to get a copy of my write up and invoice for my insurance they said that they already gave it to me and would not reply to my texts requesting a copy. Just bizarre behavior and I wasted $200 to get a report they won't provide.

We had Newman air and heating to our home several times for service calls and were always pleased with them. We decided to up grade our system and we had Newman's do the job. We were super pleased. Both he and his sons were knowledgeable, and true to their word. The job was perfect and they did everything they promised at the price they promised. I would highly recommend them.

Our air conditioning went out suddenly, it was a holiday weekend and temperatures inside our home were above 90. We called Newman's because they were the first ones available to respond to a similar problem we had a few years ago. At that time we were really pleased by the knowledge, workmanship and reasonable pricing that the father and son, business team, offered.
This time they went above and beyond, they responded right away, squeezed us into a booked schedule, obtained the parts and did the same quality of service with modest pricing all on Memorial Day itself.

The temperatures have been over 100 degrees this week and of course my air conditioner stopped working. It happened late Sunday. Roger who was filling in for his dad and his brother were booked on Monday but fortunately were able to assist me later that day. It was 90 in the house and with pets, it was miserable. They diagnosed the problem, explained it to me, and fixed it immediately. They are courteous and fair. My house is back to being cool! Thank you Newman's!

We didn't realize our heater wasn't working as cold air was blowing from the ceiling and the temp in the house eventually dropped below 68 degrees! I called in a panic and they came out asap! The service was exceptional and I felt that the time and effort that was invested into the repair was more than expected given the cost of labor and parts!
I also appreciated the follow up call to be sure everything was still functioning properly and my family was warm and comfortable. This company deserves ten stars as I would highly recommend them and use their services again, if necessary! Thank you for a job exceptionally well done!

The father and son (I'm assuming it to be) duo of Newman's Heating just left and I was so pleased that I had to write a review immediately. They came out for a diagnosis and found the issue to be as simple as incorrect wiring. Instead of giving us the run around they charged us a fair price of only what was needed to fix the issue. They even stayed around long enough to make sure the system thawed out and was running properly. Both of them are a delight to deal with and talk to, they have friendly demeanors and are now saved in our phone books for any future issues!

Mr. Newman and his son showed up for the appointment right on time, after a confirming phone call to us. They were very courteous, professional, and very thorough making certain their trouble-shooting and work was perfect. They may not have the fanciest vehicle, but don't be mislead; Doug's knowledge and experience in his work is what counts. Even when faced with a challenging job, they stuck with it without ever showing frustration. Very impressive and we are very pleased!

On Sunday evening at 6:00 PM my compressor blew a capacitor. Called Newman's and naturally he was out on a call and swamped due to the heat wave. I made an appointment for Monday afternoon. Later that evening he called (9:45PM) and said he could come by now! I said yes and the rest is history. He came and fixed the problem and didn't try and run up the bill by selling me something that I didn't need.
He was very professional and had good customer service. The price was right too! Especially for after hours on a Sunday evening. I will use Newman's again. This is a small family business and I highly recommend them.

We realized that our AC unit was not working around 10pm and it was 86+ degrees inside the house. Tried calling several other companies that said they were open 24 hours but, none of them called us back. Fortunately for us they called us back and was able to come over at 1130pm and he stayed to fix the unit. They fixed the capicitator, added freon, and cleaned the unit. He was very through in his work and I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs work done on their HVAC unit.

Saturday morning my kids woke me up telling me they were cold. I got up and noticed the heater was on and blowing, but no heat. It was a very cool 64 degrees in the house. I called Newman's around 8:45am and by 12:30pm, he was at my front door ready to fix the problem. And that is exactly what he did. Great service and very professional. I will highly recommend Newman's to all my friends and family. From a highly satisfied customer in West Sacramento.
