So These dumb ass clowns just gave my Elderly mother a quote for 20k to install a 3 head residential minisplit system on a single level home. Apparently they think she is stupid. Let's go over this shall we. LG Wall Mounted 3-Zone System - 30,000 BTU Outdoor - 7k + 7k + 15k Indoor - 22.0 SEER Model: L3H30W07071500-A $3,753-$4,200 Electrician $500-$800 Concrete Pad 200-$350 Miscellaneous $500 extra piping etc. Sooo.

Apparently NETR thinks people are stupid enough to pay $14k or so for an installation that should take one man one day. Absolute clowns. Go with this company and you too could be taken advantage of! Complete crooks. Just for reference I paid just over $7k to have the exact same system installed on my 2 story town home with 2 heads on second floor and 1 head on 1st floor with wall bracket instead of pad.

Do you think she's incapable of researching the costs involved with purchasing or installation? How bout explaining why I had the exact same unit installed in my townhouse with a more difficult installation and it cost me $7,835 total plus $200 for permits. Albeit I purchased my unit at lower cost 1 year ago at $3,500. Or maybe you can explain why you were going to use a plastic pad sitting on the ground instead of a proper concrete pad dug below the frost line to prevent movement and leaking of refrigerant lines.

Or was that exactly your intention so you can consistently benefit from service and repair calls to fix leaking/damaged lines? Or maybe you can explain why there is a commission for the unit when you didn't sell us anything? In fact you have this unit in your warehouse. We told you! what unit we want. You didn't "sell" us anything. Or maybe you can explain the materials cost when each unit is less than 25' away.

You do understand you can google how much refrigerant lines cost right. Do the 18 screws to attach wall unit bracket to interior walls cost thousands of dollars. Or maybe it's the $17 ac disconnect box. Or the $13 30 amp double pole breaker or the $20 worth of 10/2 Romex. I know exactly what these installations entail the tools required and how it's done.

So why don't you explain to people on here why your quote is more than $10k to $12k more than it should. You can install these units with a handful of tools. Wrench, screwdriver, vacuum pump and drill with hole saw, level etc. All extremely common tools aside from vacuum pump, flaring tool and manifold gauges. Are you paying your techs $500 an hour? I've had 2 head industrial units installed at my place of business with a proper concrete pad for considerably less than the 20k you quoted my mother. Clown!

It was easy to work with NETR from beginning to end. Jason was very helpful in the showroom explaining how things would work in our application. We did not have an easy installation given the age of our home and that it was a victorian with mouldings everywhere. Jerry and Mike, our installers, were on time every day. They worked hard and took a very short lunch break.

They always told us when they were leaving and coming back. They explained what they were doing and were always professional. We were very happy with them and felt like were in good hands. I would recommend this team to anyone.

NETR did an amazing job installing two mini units at my house. The employees were polite and worked very, very hard on a challenging install. The negative, the clean up was not good and I had to pick things up and now have to try removing spray foam from my new composite stairs and vinyl siding. Service: Ductless heating & A/C services

The initial install 9 yrs ago was excellent in the quality of work and product. We recently had them return for hydro cleaning of our ductless units and once again the service was excellent. The tech who serviced our units was on time, polite and took the time to answer our questions. He was also very careful while moving his equipment through the house, to not do any damage.

He also was very neat and made sure the area was clean after he was finished. This was exactly the experience we had when they did the install and is why we continue to use N.E.T.R.

The folks are NETR were fantastic. The sales force was very knowledgeable. They listened to our needs and came up with the perfect solution. The design/engineering team reviewed the layout, made some minor changes to make the installation look better and less obtrusive on the outside. The installation team worked their magic and made it all look great.

Then came the training. What a great teacher. He knew just want we needed to understand and explained things easily. The installation technician Danny and Jordan were passionate about there job, took every effort to keep the house clean during the installation and insured the house was clean upon completion. This is the second time we've used N.E.T.R to install a ductless system. That alone is a strong indication of our level of satisfaction with N.E.T.R in general. For this job, we had a ductless system installed along with the removal of our recently deceased gas furnace. There were two crews; one for the furnace removal, one for the ductless system install. Everyone showed up on time and all were courteous and professional. We're very happy with the end result of the installation. Cleanup was great as well.

Danny and Joe did a fantastic job installing our ductless system. They were on time, worked hard and had great attention to detail. I was really impressed how hard they worked to make the wires / piping clean and address some of my OCD concerns. Ivan, Caleb, and Joe worked hard for two full days installing our Mitsubishi heat pump and mini-splits. They were friendly, wore their masks, explained what they were doing, and showed us how the system worked. We're very pleased with their work. We also got great support from Chip and Victoria, who helped us with planning and paperwork for our Mass Save rebate application.

The electricians from N.E.T.R. worked diligently and finished the job in one long afternoon. They wore masks inside the house and were considerate and cleaned up after their work. We had a horrible, bordering on traumatic, experience with NETR. They caused significant property damage to our newly renovated space, had very unprofessional staff who were loudly yelling and swearing while working (which was particularly annoying given we were working from home), and now I noticed one of the units they installed last summer is falling off the wall.

While I imagine they would send someone out to fix the unit falling off the wall, our experience with them was so bad I do not want them in my home and will now pay a different contractor to better attach the unit.

From day one, the experience has been exceptional. The folks at N.E.T.R. are RESPONSIVE and AVAILABLE to you. From Jason H providing the estimate, Gina's pre-install follow-up calls (yes, multiple) and the Keenan / Sonny installation team, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. We just had an additional Mitsubishi Mr. Slim AC unit. Everything was easy. Communication was clear and thorough, including confirming arrival time. The installation team was friendly, efficient, and reviewed the plan with me. I recommend them highly.

I have done business with this company for over 15 years having done 4 different homes with their minisplits. I recently had them come do maintenance on a property in January. The maintenance person did not collect payment at time of cleaning. Five weeks later I receive a phone call from the owner stating I have been sent numerous emails and invoices, which they received no response to and that if I didn't pay by Friday I would have lawyers contacting me, a lien on my house and I would be put out for collections.

I explained I have never received an invoice or an email and I only received two phone calls, which I immediately returned and paid it with a credit card that day. I Was always happy with the service but very disappointed that a long-standing customer who has spent over $30,000 with this company is Called and threatened for a $600 bill after only five weeks.

I did ask for copies of the invoices that were sent to me and the emails. I was conveniently told they had a computer crash and could not retrieve any of them. There are other options out there but I always try to use local companies. But after I was treated in this manner (hung up on also) and being a long time customer, this company needs to really rethink how they Talk to and treat their loyal customers. I will not be going to them and referring business elsewhere from now on.

The heat unit failed yesterday. Yet last night the house was comfy, thanks to a 30 minute response by N.E.T.R. It took two trips to get parts discovered to be broken, and they didn't add labor charges for that second trip. Nice. Costs were quoted after the work was assessed, and the total matched that quote. I felt pricing was fair. Don, who did the work, was professional and skilled. Yes, I will use them again.

I first dealt with NETR a couple years ago when they were one of the City of Somerville's official partners on a heat pump (ductless mini split) installation campaign. We wanted to install a 1 or 2-zone system, but my condo has a number of unique complications, though, so we weren't able to go forward with the project at that time. Fast-forward a couple years, and we decided to revisit the idea.

We also decided to go big or go home this time, with a 5-zone system for the whole house. This time we got estimates from two other companies first, but one provided an extremely high quote and the other basically said that we were asking an impossible job that they could not do. So we reached out to NETR again, and it worked out great. The NETR price was literally more than 10K less (!) than what we were quoted by the other company, and they took care of all the secondary project burdens like City of Somerville building permits, upgrading our electrical service, etc.

They gave us a clear idea of what to expect in terms of construction disruption, the workers were friendly and unobtrusive, and they finished the work right on schedule. It's too early to speak with certainty about the quality of the system we installed, but we are thrilled to finally have this project complete, and are very satisfied with the pricing, service, and installation work.

N.E.T.R. installed a 5-zone Mitsubishi minisplit system in our house. These guys are hard working and know their stuff. The project was also reasonably priced and was done in 3 days (plus 1 day for electrical upgrades to 200 amps). Highly recommended!

I highly recommend N.E.T.R.! From the moment I requested bids through Home Advisor, to the day the work was all done, the whole experience with N.E.T.R. was great. They were incredibly responsive, professional and helpful. Patrick got back to me almost immediately, scheduled a site visit (Chip was great in the walk through--he was very thorough and reassuring, and offered great suggestions regarding my questions and concerns).

Then I got my quote right away. The office was very accommodating regarding my downpayment and responsive to questions I had about some shrubbery that needed to be removed prior to the installation. Then Ivan and Terrence arrived to do the installation and it went off without a hitch. They were so nice, and they even put little booties over their shoes so as not to drag dirt into the house. The job was done perfectly. This company is great from start to finish. I will definitely encourage my neighbors to use them. Can't say enough good things!

Had NETR install a three zone mini split system in our place in Cambridge, MA. Their prices were about average of the three quotes that we received. However, their quality and professionalism seemed exceptional, so we went with them. Then had a showroom where you could see and, importantly, hear the units in action. They also offer information seminars which are super helpful.

We attended one and visited their showroom. The wait for installation wasn't bad, about 4 weeks. This was much quicker than the other companies we contacted. (This was in May/June, so I imagine a high demand time.) Installation was done by Cesar and Terry. Both were very professional. Installation was quite seamless and they definitely know what they are doing.

They were very clean and careful with everything. We've had the units running for about 2 weeks now. They works great and are amazingly powerful in cooling. Much more than enough for what we need (this was 3 units for 1000SF home). The other great thing about NETR is that they offer maintenance services at what seem to me to be very reasonable prices.

Given the importance of this, it is great to have them do this. Overall, have been very happy with my experience with them. Some have complained about the price of NETR on here. However, after having gone through all of this, I have learned, it is a complicated and intricate process and there are lots of ways to cut corners. I personally am happy to not pay the absolute rock bottom lowest price if the quality is good. Less headaches in the long-run.

Have done 2 installs with NETR in the past year (different locations). These guys have the process down to a science and are a pleasure to deal with. Ivan and Christian did the most recent install and were excellent. Highly recommended.

I had N.E.T.R. install a 4 head ductless mini-split in my new home to replace the baseboard electric heat that it has. They handled the whole process well, for the quote, to modifying the quote as my requirements changed, to the install, and all the way to helping us get our MassSave and MassCEC rebate. The install went smoothly and they managed to do all the work over 2 days.

They also made sure that everything was setup properly and went over how to use the new system. Working with Paul was great and he went above and beyond to make sure we received our MassCEC rebate when MassCEC was being a pain to get the rebate processed properly. They may have not been the cheapest quote we got, but the work they did was above and beyond. I think it was worth the extra bit to get the quality work they provided and to have the professionalism they showed through the whole process.

Couldn't be happier with the installation and performance of our mini split system. Our house is nice and warm and looking forward to using A/C in the summer. We had a ductless AC unit installed. it took them a few weeks to schedule an installation (it was August so you figure they're busy) but they got it done in one day and it works great. They had to patch up a small hole in the wall after there was a bit of difficulty setting up the wiring and I had to wait a few weeks to get it done but that's all set now.

It wasn't cheap--it might have been a few more bucks than other companies but the financing helps and I'm willing to pay a bit more for quality. So, yes, recommended.

I got an estimate from N.E.T.R. for a new ductless air conditioner system, nice sales guy however I don't like being taken advantage of or mislead. I was quoted $12,400 for a 3 room unit, almost $9000 in labor alone! I was also told these units alone cost $3000 each "sometime more" quoted from the sales rep.!?! Absolute BS and highway robbery to consumers.

I highly suggest you do your homework before doing business with any company, N.E.T.R. does have great feedback but taking advantage of you for it is not "cool" anytime of the year.

He's just doing his job, not his fault. With that said, I had watched the video above, I did the math as well.

Two guys for 2 days and I used all the #'s in the video provided and based the MA sales tax on $4k in equipment. $7850.00 total (parts/Labor) vs the $12,400 quoted ($4550 difference) Based on this, they would be making over $4550 in profit on my install. Within the video a very reasonable $400.00 profit is noted and the equipment would be less rated than what I was quoted giving them even more profit on the back end. It's a simple #'s & BS game, they can give you the dog and pony show about being a Mitsubishi Diamond Elite Contractor and tell you "you get what you pay for." (I guess that gives them the green light to go above and beyond overcharging people?) I don't have a problem with paying a premium for excellent service, but they took it to another level of greed.

Only in MA! At the end of the day it's your hard earned money, make sure you do what's best for you. It's to bad these guys were greedy, I would have purchased a system from you. ----- Got to love the dog and pony show response below by the owner, they can feed you any BS to justify in their mind over charging you. Complexity? Seriously.

This job could be done in 1 1/2 days with 2 people if they knew what they were doing, if it's taking you 3 people for 3 days to do a small job like this then you need to see where the times going. For example now he's adding in one more person and 1 more day to the job and exploding the "company cost" to make you feel like he's doing you a favor. $2250 for material, are you gold plating it? $750 to run one cable 30'? Unreal.

I guess the sales person has no idea how to do his job now after reading this? I guess consumers can expect games and being mislead as part of the FREE estimate? We must all be stupid or think you're the only person running a business? They are so considerate and they know what they are doing. We had a great experience with the mini split installation in our house. Consultation to purchase: We had a very smooth experience - just a couple of weeks between getting our free consultation (Chip was very clear and easy to understand - he explained everything really well.) to having the units installed and functioning. They were courteous and communicated really well. They worked pretty quietly, were very considerate, and were extra careful to keep noise and dust/mess to a minimum. They actually may have left the place cleaner than they found it! The units are quieter than I expected, and the team did a great job coming up with a solution that worked for us!

We had NETR install two condensers and three AC units in 2013. They've worked perfectly, supplying AC in summer and heat in winter. Today we had an annual tune-up by James M.He couldn't have been more professional and personable. He took extra time to make sure that we knew how to operate the remote and reviewed the house for the possibility of installing two more units. NETR did a great job from start to finish. Jimmy took the time to convince us about the product and the company. The install crew - Jerry, Adam, Jeff, TIm and Matt C - were as professional as Jimmy promised. The crew was here early, was polite and pleasant to deal with. They worked smoothly with us as we made some slight tweaks to one of the installation positions and made sure we knew just how everything worked before they departed.
