I had a leaking shower head and called Fulton Services. My regular plumber had recently retired, and I was looking for a new plumber. I assumed I could trust the #1 rating in my "Best Pick Reports". A technician came out, said I needed a new cartridge, it could take "weeks" to get the part, and proceeded to quote me $2,874.00 to do the work. I was astounded.
The tech also told me this was a simple job that my husband could do. I do all of this type of work in our home, so this was annoying. When I asked him why this "simple" job cost so much, he mumbled about having to drain all of the water but had no real explanation. I am not convinced he was even capable of doing the work. I paid the $99 trip charge (total waste) and told him no way did I want him or his company doing this work.
I just had a plumber here from another company. He charged me $325.00, had the part on his truck, and was finished in ten minutes. I am truly shocked that Fulton Services thinks they can get away with cheating people like this. NEVER use them.

Don't even think about calling this company! I have noticed similar complaints posted about Fulton Services, and wish I had seen them before getting stuck. This company is demonstrating a serious lack of responsibility to their customers for their services. After 3 months, we are still waiting for them to make this right. On Mar 8, 2022, we paid the invoice, $2,276.30, presented to us after a service call. However, we still have plumbing problems that were included in the invoice.
When Douglas left, he promised to return and fix what he had left undone, which was repair a faucet he broke and to find a gasket to fit a tub stopper. From Scotty's comments, Douglas has left the company without returning the parts he removed from our home. On Apr 6, after a month of getting no contact, I sent a letter to the company by USPS requesting: 1) repairs to fixtures needed after Douglas's service visit.
A hot water faucet leaks after he tried to loosen it. He took the chrome faucet housing with him, so we now have an exposed leaky pipe at our lavatory instead of a finished faucet as it was before he arrived. Scotty has has promised to get parts to repair it, but has not contacted us since then. Douglas also took our Kohler tub stopper, which Scotty says he ordered but has not installed.
And after charging almost $700.00 to repair a toilet, it continues to run after flushing. Is this because Douglas installed American Standard parts in a Gerber toilet? 2) that a competent plumber follow up and check all items on the standard inspection list. We have no evidence that Douglas performed the tests that would satisfy the plumbing inspections we requested and paid for.
It appears that Douglas stated reports on testing that he never did. 3) and, we asked for a description of the item numbers on our invoice. As of today, May 24, 2022, no one from the company is responding to repeated requests to do the repairs and inspections, or to provide an explanation of the invoice we were presented.

I would not recommend anyone to utilize their services! Not only are they overpriced, but they do not even provide adequate receipts or paperwork to reflect the work done. I had a toilet that wasn't flushing, which was a small issue, and they charged me $350 to fix. I asked the technician why it was so expensive and he claimed that parts needed to be replaced in the tank.
I requested an invoice before the job was completed so that I could see a full breakdown of what I was being charged. One has yet to be provided. To date I've only received a receipt that shows nothing! Not to mention that when receiving the receipt, it only says "fulton services", and does not even reflect that it's a plumbing company. When looking over said receipt there is absolutely no breakdown of the parts provided, cost of labor, warranty on parts, etc.
I have been calling for almost a week requesting that they provide me with an invoice displaying the services rendered. It seems as though they are now trying to doctor up an invoice that will justify the amount of money they charged for parts and labor. I was given two different excuses as to why I've yet to receive it and also two different dates where I was promised I would receive it. STEER CLEAR! Expensive, unprofessional and untrustworthy.
I believe they are inflating their prices or else they'd be able to provide ample documentation at the conclusion of services explaining exactly what they did without needing time to create one!

I hired Fulton Services to repair a pipe that had been installed incorrectly. I had requested that any plumbers entering my home wear a mask. One of the men obliged but the other 4 did not. They had also brought a young teen along with them (I'm assuming it was one of their children.) I will not be using their services again and I wouldn't recommend you do either.

We had a tricky heat/air replacement in our Atlanta Penthouse Condo and I can not say how great Fulton Services were. They had a very knowledgeable technician (thanks Tim) who came out and tried to repair our 40 year old system. Unfortunately the old system was pretty much worn out. They had their manager Scotty come out to review and give us some options for what we might do to restore our system.
We decided on a new one due to the age of the original and they replaced the system as promised. They were very careful not to cause any damage to our floors, showed up when they said they would, and finished up as scheduled too! They were extremely professional and installed a great system. We've had heat pumps before that took ages to heat and cool, this one accomplishes it quickly. I highly recommend them.

We just used Fulton Services today. Anyone looking to use this company should be aware that the "service charge" of $89 is not deducted from the final cost of service/repair. Most plumbing services don't charge the service charge if they do the work. Thought I'd give them a try to replace a garbage disposal. The repair was $882.50 ( $793.50 to install new garbage disposal PLUS $89 service charge for coming out).
On the phone when I made the appointment they referred to it as a "service charge". On the invoice it says "diagnostic charge". We went ahead with the work despite the high cost because the tech was here. He quoted $793.50. Our mistake for assuming the "service charge" was included. When I called to ask about it they wanted to give me a $30 coupon to use on next service. We won't use their services again.

I have used Fulton Services for years and even though they seem to be overcharging me, they did a good job of fixing the issue. Not this time. A guy came on Friday, looked at the toilet and said he need to bring another person next week to "diagnose" the issue by removing the entire toilet because it is a "two person job". He charged me $89 for showing up.
He quoted me $400 for the second appointment to just diagnose and it could cost more to fix it depending on what it was. They didn't have available appointments until next week. I watched some U tube videos over the weekend, and after I tried three very quick things, I fixed the problem myself. They were going to charge me $500 just to "figure it out". This doesn't instill any confidence in these so called "professionals". I would never ever use them again.

We've used Fulton services for the last 7 years. They are constantly ripping out parts of the wall to access pipes and the bill is always in the thousands. After bringing them out yesterday to address a leaking shower head, they once again said they would have to rip the wall out and estimated an $1800 bill with at least 6 hours of work. Thankfully, we decided to get a second estimate the following day.
Our new plumber arrived within 2 hours of calling him and fixed our problem in 45 minutes for a grand total of $327. On his way out he mentioned that we should be careful of large plumbing companies since they frequently love to rip out walls and do unnecessary work. Do not trust this company and do not trust Chris (he was the one that came to service our house)

Chris with Fulton Plumbing came to my home today as scheduled, had everything they needed to replace my water heater. I knew it wasn't going to be an easy job as the new water heater was 2 inches bigger than my opening to get it past my outside AC units. They did an exceptional job of taking the old tank out and installing the new tank. Chris also was extremely detailed in his work and even found a gas leak in my old line which he promptly fixed. The new tank looks great and is already producing plenty of hot water. I would highly recommend Fulton Plumbing and Chris Ramsey.

We are a long-time customer of Fulton Services. We noted a rupture in our cast iron drain pipe in our downstairs half bath late afternoon of day 1. My wife immediately called Fulton Services. On the morning of day 2, Ricky was dispatched to diagnose our problem. Ricky has served us in the past and we were glad to see him take charge of the current problem. Ricky quickly assessed the situation, gave us a quote and scheduled the repair starting the morning of day 3 and finishing mid-afternoon of day 3. Ricky and his associate did a great job in a neat and orderly manner. Ricky walked me through the finished job explaining what was done.
He's a real pro and we were delighted to have him service us again. It's situations like this that make Fulton Services our "go to" company for responsive, high-quality plumbing work delivered by pros at a reasonable price.

We had to have all plastic water supply lines and stops replaced by brass stops and metal braided supply tubes for sinks and toilets (under orders from the Home Owners Association.) Fulton Services have handled all our plumbing needs over the years, and for this job Ricky J. did the work. As ever, Fulton Services did a great job! Their technicians are always highly skilled, courteous, leave no mess and get the job done right the first time! Thank you Fulton Services and Ricky J.!

Rude, unprofessional and a ripoff! Took two days for them to show, which is not what was said when I called. Steve is very unprofessional. Wanted to use camera. I said no, dropped the quote $200. Then he came back and said had to use the camera for the job and cost $800. Showed total cost $1,200. When done, wanted just under $1,500.

A service call was made at my home by Fulton Services 10/18 and diagnosed roots in my pipes. They gave me detailed information, showing me exactly what the problem was and gave a complete, accurate estimate. They came back the next morning to make the repairs. The job was completed in a timely manner and my property was left in excellent condition. Douglas was wonderful- so courteous and organized. He explained everything in a way I could understand completely. I highly recommend Fulton Services for all your plumbing needs.

They did a couple of larger jobs including a water heater replacement - $1000s of dollars but I didn't have time to get multiple quotes etc. Work was done well, cleaned up, technician polite, etc. Made an appointment for a smaller repair and they called to cancel one hour before. Or so they claimed, I never got a voicemail or anything This after I made arrangements to stay home and wait for them.
When no one showed up I called to inquire. No manager, office manager, or anybody available to discuss - I was told they were all out sick. Put on hold forever. The owner finally did come back and was very defensive and couldn't understand why I was not happy with my time being wasted waiting for someone. He claimed the office manager called this morning to schedule the appointment.
Even more worse - appointment made with one person and another person calls me to schedule and he's clueless. So inconsiderate and unprofessional. My time is too valuable to waste on this nonsense.

Water heater was not working and I tried to manually flush, which did not correct the problem. Called Fulton at 3 pm on a Saturday. Happily paid the after hours charge of $163 to have a tech come diagnose and repair. John, the tech, arrived at 5:30 and inspected. As I feared, the water heater needed to be replaced. John was willing to obtain the heater and replace Sat night or come back on Sunday morning and do the job.
He came back and spent several hours Sunday morning doing the job. Exceptionally professional, polite, and friendly. Did a GREAT job. Not cheap, but certainly reasonable and fair. You get what you pay for. great service. I am completely satisfied and would strongly recommend Fulton Services. John is awesome! Thank you John and Fulton Services.

Complete rip off. Unethical shady business who will overcharge and not stand behind their work. Said I had a one year warranty they refuse to honor. Charged me $300 to replace a pvc coupling a handyman would charge $50 or less. Created a new leak mucking around with the pvc pipes then told me there would be a $200 diagnostic charge plus whatever hundreds to repair what they broke. Crooks- Beware and stear clear!

Christmas day is a bad time to have a water pipe break and flood the basement! But Fulton Services came through--with professionalism, a sense of urgency, and a great repair job! I'm glad that we don't often need plumbing services, but when we do, we turn to Fulton. They've never let us down, have provided excellent service and sound advice.

I called Fulton Services for a few plumbing issues, they quickly sent a technician out to service. Steve was very knowledgable, helpful, & friendly. He took the time to show me the cause of our plumbing problems & let me know my options. He had to return for a more extensive repair the next day, and I got an email from the company letting me know he was en route plus a phone call from Steve. I am very pleased with their high level of customer service and job performance. Would highly recommend them.

I had a water line outside break and called fulton at 9 30 am. they promised repair within 2 hrs. after several delays excuses someone showed up at 4 pm. QUOTED 1200 to repair and then wanted 90 just for the estimate. my wife paid this extortion fee and called another plumber. the repair was done for 420 dollars by another plumber. a total ripoff sleazebag company

Do not use this company! We had a water leak on our main line and they came out quoting us $650 to repair or $3,000 to replace the polybutylene pipe. Stuck with no water I opted to have it repaired. Called around to other companies to get estimates on pipe replacement today, and two different companies told me it'd be less than $1,000, and that they would have charged less than $300 for the repair. Expensive and take advantage when you are stuck in a bad situation!

Shame on me for not checking YELP, Kudzu, or others before calling Fulton Plumbing. We'd used them in the past but it had been a while so called them when we needed a few very minor repairs. After having a total of 1 1/2 items fixed, we were charged nearly $1000! When I called to complain about the service and excessive fees, I got the run-around for nearly 2 weeks.
I assumed customers aren't valued so decided to go to the top: I found the owner's name and email so I wrote a letter to him. No response. Obviously, customers AREN'T valued. Beware! They will rip you off and not look back.

A Technician came out to fix toilet that had not been installed properly. They fixed the problem but took complete advantage of the situation. $878 to pull up the toilet, add a couple of Stack N Seal flanges, and then reseat the toilet. 2 hours of work at $878. They also quoted $2,000 to remove the last 10 feet of cast iron drain pipe still in my crawl space under my house and then replace it with PVC. I found another plumber to do it for $650. They will over-charge you.

Very disappointed in the service call made by Fulton Heating and Air. I was fine with the $89 trip charge for diagnosis, but then was told there is a $250 diagnosis charge for a leak on top of the trip charge, plus the amount it will cost to fix the leak and add Freon to the unit. The price I was going to be charged was moving towards the price of putting in a new unit. So I paid the trip charge and sent them on the way. Never again.

Its Saturday afternoon and I'm watching some basketball. Over the sounds on the TV and the noise outside, I hear a strange dripping noise. I open the door to the HVAC closet and see that the dripping is coming from the AC condenser. ): I turn off the AC and search Yelp for AC repair people and find Fulton Services. I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday morning.
The repairman was prompt & courteous. He inspected the unit, and quickly diagnosed that the AC condenser drain was clogged. He cut the pipe, cleaned it out and sealed it back up. He even gave me some tips to prevent it from happening again (pouring 1/2 cup of bleach in the drain before you use it each spring). And he only charged me the trip fee - $89. While that may be a bit more than other places trip fees, i didn't find it completely out of line and the service i received was great and honest.

There's a reason these guys are listed in http://www.homereports.com. They know what they are doing and won't screw around with you. They are a little expensive, but if you want the job done right, its worth a few extra bucks. I had a brand new AC unit installed by these guys and they also serviced my ancient furnace. I'd highly recommend them to everyone.
