Godby was able to get me an appointment within 24 hours when my A/C went out this summer. Tyree called ahead and spoke with me to get some background information before arrival and arrived within 10 minutes afterwards. He was very professional and friendly and took the time to talk me through the issue and confirm the fix was working before leaving.

Godby replaced my 20+ year old furnace and A/C with new and efficient Trane components, along with a smart thermostat. From sales consultant Duwayne to installers Joe and Luke, everyone was pleasant to interact with. We ran into a small problem during the installation which could not have been foreseen, but it was resolved quickly to my satisfaction. The new system has only been running for about an hour, but I have high hopes.

They installed the system within 48 hours of approval, and completed their work within a normal work day. They fully explained and reviewed their work with me upon completion. The girls in the office that scheduled the service were so friendly and helpful! The guys that came out to install our lights went to Lowes for us to pick up light blubs because we forgot to get them prior to them coming. They were very friendly and very quick! I would definitely use Godby again and refer their services to anyone looking.

Godby was good enough to come out on a Saturday and jump the circuit board to give us some temporary heat until they could secure us the part we needed. They came out Monday. Our technician, Kenny was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. We will continue to keep Godby as our plumbing, heating and electrical source of help.

I was having problems with my whole house humidifier. Tyree took a look at everything, made a couple of adjustments and then made sure it was working properly. He also gave me some helpful tips on extending the life of the humidifier and things to keep an eye on. He was great! I've been very happy with Godby with the various services that they've done for me.

Godby is a great company to work with, pricing is fair and services is quick. We just had our winter maintenance on our furnaces and Dan was our service technician that come out. My furnace started blowing cold air early on a Sunday morning. Godby was able to send out a technician to look at it the same day. Kenny was able to get the furnace functioning but found a few issues that required parts that needed to be ordered. He did give me advice on what to do if it malfunctioned before the repair could be completed, which I really appreciated. The office followed up with me and got the repair scheduled, and just in time, too, as the furnace stopped working again the day they were scheduled to return.

We have been a customer of Godby for probably over 10 years. We are on their Club Godby. I'll say they have very good service however, I called to have them look at a couple of things. There is a $99 service call which is fine. We needed a frost free outside spigot repaired and Gary the technician (who has been here before and is a nice guy) gave me the estimate to replace one outside faucet (spigot) and I was shocked.
I expected it to be over $200.? but it was over $400. Labor is over $200 per hour. I told Gary to forget it and paid the $99 call fee. We will be looking for another HVAC and plumbing company. BTW, the 3 stars were for their service. If I had to give a star rating on pricing, it would be a one.

We had a great experience with Gary. We had the water line replaced that connects to the refrigerator. He ended up having to go to the hardware store to pick up a few parts. Before that though, he thoroughly discussed the charges and answered questions professionally. Also, he was very helpful in answering a question I had for him completely unrelated to the job he was there for.
He could have brushed me off and told me I could probably find a YouTube video on it or something but he took his time in explaining it. I was able to fix that issue myself in no time. Appreciate your help! Definitely recommend.

Our HVAC system was ailing and Godby did a fantastic job from top to bottom. They diagnosed that it needed to be replaced (not repaired), were clear about our options in terms of size / SEER, and were generally excellent in terms of customer service. Their price was more than reasonable - actually the lowest bid we received on the job. Install was professional, quick, thoughtful with regards to our family's space and time. The unit works incredibly well, and the follow-up customer service has been excellent as well. Highly recommend Godby.

Loved our technician! Tyree got to work quickly and did his job efficiently. Giving 4 stars because I was told prior to scheduling appt, that an air quality test would be done. He was here for 7 hours so maybe he just forgot. Also asked about him looking into my existing humidifier on the furnace. That also must have slipped his mind. We are so happy we chose Godby

I've never had a better experience than with John, Will, and the whole crew! They stayed late to finish a two day job on a Friday. So cool. We are the kings of hot water. Or better yet, the ladies in the house say we are the queens of hot water. Get the tankless and recirculating pump. You won't regret it.

I had a bird stuck in my furnace flue. Not only did i get great service on the phone perfect service from the technician. Poor bird was set free. This is a great company. Always responsive and they know what they are doing. I'm so pleased. I've used different companies over the years but since i switched to Godby, I've been 100% satisfied with heating, cooling and plumbing service!

Very disappointed. I called Godby to find an electrical problem because a neighbor recommended them. We'd had a leak and the plumber (who did a great job) said the cause was an electrical current arcing on the pipes from malfunctioning fixtures. Godby's electrician spent something like four hours examining our electrical service and assured me there was no problem.
A month later, another leak. Plumber (same company but different individual) confirmed the problem was electricity on the pipes. Called Barth Electric; they sent an electrician who found the problem promptly and fixed it. Needless to say, I would NEVER use Godby again. Not only did we throw out the money we paid them, but the subsequent leak that could have been avoided cost nearly 400 to fix--and that's before repairing the hole in the drywall.

The only reason I will not give Godby five stars, I'll explain later. Air conditioner went out in my home. Godby has serviced my home before, so I gave them a call. A technician came out, and told me it was the furnace. It was the original furnace that came with the house, so I figured it was time to replace it. The person I spoke with to set up the appointment was very kind and got my appointment set up for the next day.
She also gave me a window as to how long the job would take. The next day came and I received a call from Deacon telling me that they are on the way. Soon after, Deacon and Joe was at my door. They introduced themselves, and came in. Right away they got started on removing the old one and in with the new one. During that time, Joe came upstairs and put in the new thermostat.
He told me that when they were finished, he'd explain the new functions on it (digital, touch screen, Bluetooth, very cool!). Not long after, they called me downstairs and the job was done. Joe came with me back upstairs and explained in detail the use of the new thermostat. During the time in my home, both guys were very professional, courtious and easy to get along with.
Great job guys. As they were leaving, I asked for a business card. They said they didn't have cards of their own. Godby, get your technicians business cards! Now, the only reason for the 4 stars was because I had to have a very minor adjustment made. Without calling, the guy just showed up! I could see that he was from Godby by his vehicle and shirt, but didn't tell me who He was. He got the job done quickly and was nice, but gave no heads up that he was on his way.

Don't fall for the hype of them being an Indy local name! Do your research and find a small local plumber on Nextdoor site or through neighbors or friends. This company lied to our faces as they sent an inexperienced "plumber" to our home who had to take pics to get answers then took our $50 trip charge check and said he'd be back only to find out they weren't coming back until the following week!
We were without water and they knew this and then said WE WERE at fault when they knew the problem ahead of time! They lied on the phone and said we didn't tell them it was a different situation.we explained it exactly and even if it was a diff situation ( which it wasn't).they should've had the knowledge to do it! The plumber that arrived stated "i have three other appts still and its 5pm. i can't do this one right now".
They knew it was not a basic replacement but this plumber didn't know how to do it and we had waited all day on him and then we got blamed! We had to fight to get our check back and thankfully we found an honest plumber through Economy Plumbing recommendation! Steer clear of Godby!

We were in a bit of a pinch once the weather started turning colder. Went to fire up the old furnace and nothing. Of course this was discovered after hours and we struggled to get anyone who could come out in a timely matter. After working our way down the list we were able to get appointment with Godby for first thing the next morning. The technician called to confirm he was on the way and was very professional we he arrived. Our technician was also very knowledgeable and good about explaining things in a way that was understandable and had us back up and running in no time.

We bought a new home and had some minor plumbing issues to get looked at. Unfortunately for us this plumbing service was what Angie's List recommended. Was charged 300 dollars for a tightening on the toilet and an incorrectly hooked up fridge. He was here about 1.5 hours, charged for 2, and half of the time was spent wandering back and forth from his car and fixing a mistake he made in hooking up the fridge to the water line.
On top of this was extremely unfriendly and lazy- told us to call the manufacturer for a leaky faucet and for a leaky dishwasher. Told us it would cost us another 600 to cut a hole in the floor and run a pipe into a small room to move the washer up from the basement. "Generously" took off 15 dollars for making a mistake that he tried to convince us didn't matter and was extremely rude about correcting. Cannot recommend less. Extremely Unsatisfied.

My service experience was quite bad, and a long series of errors were made. Originally i posted a very detailed and negative review. Since then I have been contacted by Jason Godby, and was treated very well. I was assured that my experience was the exception, not the norm, and I believed him. I have decided to replace my previous extremely negative review, not because I was asked to, but because after my conversation with Jason I felt that they no longer deserved it. I will use them again and hope that my previous experience was a fluke.
