Installation was great and everything was working smoothly. Couple of weeks after, I was having issues with airflow and asked for a technician to come out. The technician did not come out until two weeks after calling and scheduling. I was given a quote and was told they would schedule a time to fix the issue. It has been over 2 weeks since I've gotten a quote and I've called and emailed but have not gotten a response. They were great and helped me tremendously at first, but now are non-responsive and won't pick up the phone. I would caution those that work with them.

I had hoped my experience with a company with a 70 year history would have been better. The initial phone call to the company seemed accommodating. Even though there was a four-hour service arrival window, they booked a technician for the next day, peak season, near a holiday weekend. I was surprised when the technician showed up, with no advance notice, one hour earlier than the time window.

Glad I was home. I had told the receptionist when booking I wanted an OEM part, and the technician had one on his truck, but it was more than 5(!) years old and would cost $600, then he said $700. So he said he would order another. After doing research online, I found capacitors like what I wanted for $35- $39; even high-end capacitors should not cost more than $300- $350 with a generous company markup. And, of course, they should be fresh stock.

In addition, the company did not seem to be in any hurry to get the (rip-off price) part in while we waited at home without a/c. The company needs to be more transparent with pricing. They seemed happy when I called and cancelled- a guilty conscience perhaps? I eventually got the part for $185 + tax. Can't recommend.

I had an HVAC installed by them recently and was pleased with how quickly they got the job done. Then when we needed to run the furnace it wasn't starting, so I gave them a call this morning, and Michelle told me they were booked today, but maybe could squeeze me in. I'm glad she worked her magic with the schedule, the technician came out and got our furnace working in probably 2 minutes. Great service, very friendly, knowledgeable techs. I'd highly recommend them.

One of the best companies I have had the pleasure of working with. The office staff, Jason, Sarah, and Michelle are very professional, and work very hard to ensure the customer is satisfied. We have a service contract with Lee Heating and Air. We had our service today from Zach, a very polite young man who serviced both A/C units. He was very polite, professional and courteous. He was very friendly to our dog. He also made sure our dog was protected when he was changing out some components which had some liquid associated with it. My wife and I appreciate his promptness for the appointment as well as his professionalism during the time he serviced our units.

He also found a potential problem and fixed it before we lost our A/C during a hot summer day. There are not many young people who value their work ethic like Zach. He has a bright future and we wish him well.

Good people, good service, good price. That's getting harder and harder to find these days. The technician Brad replaced the compressor and filter drier for our AC condenser, sweated the copper fittings, checked for leaks with nitrogen, pulled vacuum, refilled the refrigerant and adjusted the pressures to the manufacturer's specifications. All in less than ideal weather conditions. Needless to say, he did a difficult task well and with a good attitude which is something I particularly appreciate. Highly recommend this business.

Our business has worked with Lee Air for more than a decade, and we've found their techs to be top notch. Gary and Ronald especially have developed a detailed, intricate knowledge of our shop's quirky HVAC units, and they've reliably kept them running despite their advanced age. We had an air conditioner outage today as a result of another contractor doing damage to the electric company's lines that supply our business, which caused an intense power surge. Sarah courteously answered our call and reported details to Jason, their service manager, who treated this business-impacting situation like an emergency.

He found and scheduled a tech to respond very quickly. Gary was here quickly, and he efficiently diagnosed and repaired the problem. Once the A/C was cooling again, he walked me through all of the services that he performed to get the A/C restored. Our shop is cool again and our customers and staff are comfortable! Thanks for your great efforts today Lee Air, Gary, and Jason, and Sarah! Kudos from your friends at Great Outdoor Provision Co.!

We called for issues with our furnace. Brad was the technician that came out and was very thorough. He explained everything so we could understand. He got the heat working but we needed a part. He returned the next day with the part and fixed the issue quickly. We highly recommend this company and technician. Very satisfied with the service. 5 stars.

Received the best advice from Jason Silvers on air filters that are really good quality and work very well. Called to have my HVAC maintained, a new motor was replaced and taken care of in a timely and efficient manner thanks to Jason. This is my opinion of Lee Air Conditioners: Joe Lee owes my family member thousands of dollars for work done and not paid despite multiple attempts requesting payment, all which have been ignored. I have spoken with another person that he owes thousands to. When I spoke with her, she stated Lee was in some sort of bankruptcy state and that after months, she had not been paid either. DO your research on this company. There is much information out there! The fact that none of these complaints have been addressed is quite telling. VERY disappointed in this gentleman!

They are too big and don't care about their customers. Expensive to boot. Beware, they have twice now charged by credit card without authorization and I can't get them to call me back. Had to go through my credit card company to fix the charges. Big charges too. Sketchy Business

Lee Air sold me a maintenance service, then didn't deliver. Call after call, I couldn't get on their schedule. They only responded to me when it was time for me to pay for another year of service. I asked them to return the money that I gave them for service I never received. It took about a year and submission of a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. They finally returned my money.

In a word- NOPE! I found Lee Air Conditioners Inc to be frustrating to communicate with. The employees inability to communicate professionally with me, the customer, and amoungst the employees themselves, to be incredibly disappointing. I did NOT feel like a 'valued customer' at all. It is highly unlikely that I'd use this company again for this and other reasons. I've asked *twice* that the owner contact me for details about my fiasco but it seems even THAT is lost or disregarded. Yes, they did FINALLY fixed my system but it was not without me chasing them down for information, for over a weeks time, every step of the way.

I should have known to run away when the young technician who first came out said 'so what do you want to do?' without offering ANY suggestions about repairs or cost estimates first. Clearly, I called the company to make suggestions, estimate the cost, and repair the system, so this seems an inappropriate question without offering any information first. The whole thing was super frustrating and that's just the first thing that was unprofessional.

Do not use this company. We had routine maintenance issues, which required Lee to send three different technicians over 3 days. We were specifically told we would not get charged for the second visit. Two weeks later they sent an invoice for $585. Despite emailing and calling, no one ever responded and we instead just received a second invoice. Not competent or communicative.

Quick response from Kenny Rogers for inspection and quote for my new air conditioning needs. The installation team was fast, clean and thorough. This was an excellent experience and even follow up for a question I had unrelated to their work was handled by a visit and "fix". I am very happy with their product, price and work. It is a real relief to get what you pay for and a friendly helpful manner as well. Kathleen

A routine preventative maintenance check turned into a blown blower motor. Got a second opinion and was told the wiring harness was wet and slimy. Lee would not admit any wrong doing or offer to help offset any cost to fix it. Were going to charge me $700 for a new one. Our AC is 5 years old and in perfect condition until they showed up! Got part and install for $500 from another company. I would not recommend this company. Calls and emails were left unanswered. Unimpressed!

If you are looking for an A/C company in the Durham area, might I suggest Lee Air Conditioning? terrific service (8am scheduled service call means a 7:59am knock on the door); competent; doesn't try to up-sell you services you don't need; fair price. I left them and tried another company, but came quickly back to Lee for their customer service. Can't say enough nice things about them.

Be extremely careful before you purchase anything from them! We contracted them for a new unit in 2013. After 24 hrs of installation, the unit was so noisy that it seems like a scooter. They came the next dY to fix it & said the outlet needed to be bigger or we need 2 units! Six months later, we had thunderstorm & the unit went off. Called them about the problem & the tech wanted to charge $98 to start it despite the unit having 10 yr warranty & it took 2 mins to reset it.

Two months later, same problem & they wanted to be paid cause they waived the last fee. This time, I went w/ the technician in the crawl space to see how to reset it. Then I called to speak to the service mgr, but got no where. I went to their office, which was a waste of time talking to a person called Eric. 18 months later, same problem. This time, the problem occurred during one of those icy storms at 11pm.

Despite their hours as 24/7, the tech said he could not come till the next morning at 8:30am. We called Michael & Sons, they were at house within 45 mins. They fixed the problem & recommended additional services, unit need to be silent, the heat exchange unit was leaking & the joint for the condenser was badly glued. My grandma could have done a better job.

Once all work was done, it was guaranteed for a year. It's been six months & no issue & you can barely tell if the unit is even on. I took pictures of the problems & even took the estimate to Kevin @ the office. I also spoke to Peggy about the problem. Guess what, Kevin called me once & I called him back within the hour. It's been almost 7 months, and not a single response from them. I Will Never Ever Recommend This Company.
