We waited almost 4 weeks for our home warranty to get us a technician. they never did. So we were referred by a friend for Western Heating and air! I'm so glad we called them. They answered the phone with great customer service and had a technician out within just a couple of days! Tracy assisted us. He was informative and gave us tips for keeping cool and reminded us to ensure the filter is clean BEFORE calling for a technician. Our 4 weeks of waiting turned out to be a failure on my husband's part. The filter needed changed

This Company hands down is Amazing, it began back when we first got the install and Christopher C in sales was amazing from beginning to end. I had them out today on 5/19/2022 as we had a a noise the wife was like that is annoying. I reached out to Chris and he scheduled us for a visit to see what was going on. Again hands down amazing! The Service Man Rolando V, sent a text when he was on his way and was very proficient and polite.

He was super amazing in explaining the situation and most of all fixed the little noise we had and was super friendly! I would recommend Western to anybody in the need of a service tune up or new system. Hands down amazing. Thanks Western and Thank you Rolando and Chris for making my home warm and cool.

Ryan, the technician, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He actually arrived earlier than he had estimated when he called this morning and kept us informed throughout his time here. Maddie, who answered the phone when I called Western, was very personable. She was able to get us an appointment for the day after I called. All in all, a positive experience.

Extremely high level of customer service. I was shocked when our technician stepped out of the van with a mask on - it seems most other companies do not require. Extremely happy Western Heating and A/C prioritize the safety of their employee and the customer! Technician even improved my a/c pea trap at no additional cost to make service easier on the future - really excited about this!

They were the hardest workers that I've seen in a long time. They got right to work and kept at it all day. It was freezing outside and they worked non stop. Everything was cleaned up and put back after- which I so appreciated! Travis explained everything that they did so well and dates and instructions were all in easy to read places. I didn't replace my current thermostat but they mounted the one i had better to the wall. What a fantastic experience! Thank you!

I don't often write reviews but had such a great experience with Western I just had to. Our furnace just stopped working and of course it was one of those very cold nights. We were heading into the weekend so I was trying to get a company out on short notice. Western was the only one who took it on as a priority and had someone out quickly. Mike W was the technician who did a great job of giving me a good notice of when he'd be there and quickly fixed the problem.

He trouble shot it and instead of replacing a much more expensive part advised a replacement of the condensate pump which did the trick! Trying to learn more myself after he was finished and left I managed to cross some wires moving something around the furnace and Western was again quick to get Lloyd H. out who fixed my mistake in under 5 minutes.

I'll be honest I've tried cutting costs by using a promotion through other companies to only end up paying more in the end by upcharges and repairs that likely weren't necessary. Tyson in the office helped me when I had questions regarding the service and was excellent to work with as well. Please trust me when I say save yourself a headache and some money by going with Western Heating the first time! Thank you all and look forward to working with you again when needed.

Connor the technician was early for his appointment which was greatly appreciated. Connor was polite and extremely professional. He was determined to find and solve the heating issue. He explained his actions clearly and thoroughly. Connor stayed, double checked everything and did not leave until he was satisfied that he had fixed the heating issue. He advised me to call him if the problem reoccurred. He is a great asset for Western Heating.

My company is under contract with Western for all our repair and maintenance needs. When our heating stopped working properly back in October, they were called out to assess the problem. The technicians looked at everything and apparently found some part that wasn't working properly and said they would submit a work order to replace it and that it would take some time.

When our maintenance manager followed up with them a few weeks later, no one could find evidence of a work order even being submitted. (keep in mind, we work in a pet clinic where the entire front lobby and all of our exam rooms are currently not receiving any heat). More technicians came out at this point and reassessed the problem. These technicians stated that the problem was actually bigger than initially noted and we were going to need another part that would have to be special ordered and would take 3-4 weeks to come in. Meanwhile, our employees and clients are complaining about the cold and miserable.

During communications with our maintenance manager, promises were made by Western to expedite the part, they would make promises about when it was due to arrive and then not show up for the scheduled repair and constantly make more excuses. Yesterday, they finally came back out to our clinic, supposedly with the part in hand to fix everything. After everything, all they did was tell us that, oh, something else is still wrong and they need to order more parts again.

Western failed. They did not stay in communication with our maintenance supervisor, they made empty promises, they did nothing to make our employees or clients more comfortable in the meantime and they are not accurately communicating or following through on what the problem is if we are now 3 visits, countless part orders, and thousands of dollars sunk.

The absolute WORST customer service over the past three years. Western Heating and Air came today for "maintenance ordered by the homeowner on the new furnace. It was a rescheduled filter chance because they would move a small metal shelf to access the filer door. Today, the garage door was up and the shelving was moved. No phone call from the tech, nothing. Didn't ring the bell, but left a "sorry we missed you" note on the door.

We had rearranged our whole day to accomodate. again. I am going to start changing the filters myself so that this isn't a continued problem. Unbelievable. At least they didn't unplug the freezers this time, causing $4000 in losses (covered by their insurance). They nickle and dime you to death. Over a dozen technician visits over the last three years. What a joke.

Scott and Jake were extremely professional and pleasant. They were conscientious to make sure they cleaned up after themselves and finished the job. They were personable during the process and shared ways to have my system be more efficient. Also, you can track their progress to your house so you know exactly when they will arrive. Thoroughly pleased!

Western Heating by far is the best company we have dealt with when it came to buying our new furnace. Christopher Combs in the sales department was fast, friendly and not pushy at all. Went over all the options and provided too notch service. The day of installation Chris called and checked to ensure it went smooth. Hands down amazing! Such a great guy you have and one that cares about people and the product your company stands behind. The installer Geraldo was super friendly and did an amazing job. I would recommend Western above any other company hands down.

I don't know if it was a fair price for house furnace and AC or not, but it was $600 less than another local HVAC business. Everything went well. I added new water heater for "half price". Since I wasn't in a breakdown situation I could live easily with their one week lead time in. Salesman was low pressure, which I appreciated.

Last week Scott and Jake cleaned the ducts and vents in our home. I can't say enough about their professional and friendly attitude, as well as our highest compliments for the excellent work they did. They provided several before and after pictures of the ducts, and what a difference after they worked their magic! They deserve a raise! They arrived when they promised, and the job was completed at the time they said they would finish. They are a very good team. I definitely recommend them to anyone needing duct and vent cleaning!

Travis and Dustin installed a new gas furnace, A/C and electric hot water heater today and did a fantastic job! They were very professional and explained the features and benefits of our new units. After receiving an OUTRAGEOUS QUOTE from YMC, Mechanical HVAC, (closer to $700)! We called to set an appt at Western heating and air-conditioning. A very friendly professional and efficient technician by the name of Russ Lantz arrived looked over our system which is a Two zone mini split, that had already been installed by a certified electrician and just needed to start up. Russ handled the job in less than an hour, gave us a few instructions on the unit and was on his way for exactly what his company quoted on the phone to us for a start-up which was $119.00.

He did not waste an hour of our time trying to upsell us to annual service or warranty for a price gouging fee of over $600! He simply stated they were there if we needed them and to call any time - they would happy to help us! Western heating and air is efficient professional and FAIR! I highly recommend their friendly and efficient service to anyone in the Treasure Valley!

I had forgotten I still had another maintenance appt. with this company. They were so kind as to reach out to get it scheduled. I was given a time frame of 8-12 and much to my surprise Todd Gross showed up bright and early and ready to work. He asked if there were any issues which I only had one and he fixed it immediately before even doing what he came here to do. He was quick, personable and professional. I welcome this company back any time and would recommend them to anyone that asked. Thank you.

Recently had to call for a service man due to an error code. Technician was prompt, friendly and professional. Unfortunately the service manager was none of the above. I got a call from Western asking if i was happy with their service. I expressed a concern about the service call charge. A few minutes later a man identifying him self as the service manager called me.

I expressed that i was not happy about paying the charge for a service call when the repair was suggested by Carrier, the manufacturer. I got a 20-30 speech about Western's policy and Carrier's warranty. He even suggested i call Carrier. The charge was from Western, not Carrier. After listening to his several minute speech it was obvious they were not taking my concern seriously. Based on his response i filled a Google review. Someone, i dont know who, responded with a lengthy comnent reciting many issues that were not under question.

He went so far as to "remind me", that they had a recording of my initial phone call. While i was not disputing any of the facts he stated, he proceded to restate basically what I had been told over the phone. At no time was the fact that i felt i was being treated badly acknowledged. The money involved was very small. My issue was how i was treated.

They called me! I was told repeatedly what their position was. I had heard it several times. Their refusal to even acknowledge that i was unhappy was unbelievable. It is obvious to me that revenue, however small it is, drives their customer service. I am pleased with the unit installed and the service i received. Their refusal to acknowledge my feelings and their hiding behind "policy and warranty" is horrible customer service. Suggesting I call the manufacturer was ludicrous! Good luck if you ever have an issue with this company. Their " customer service" seems to end once your check clears. Not a good experience and it will NOT be repeated.

I hired a HVAC company to come do twice yearly Heating and AC checks and they found an issue with our system. Our system is only 3 years old so I thought maybe there was a warranty covering the repairs. I gave Western Heating and Air a call because they originally installed the system 3 years ago. I asked about a warranty and was told I needed to have one of their techs come out and look at the system, I said I had already paid for a tech from another company and just needed information on the warranty.

I was then told Western was unable to help and was told to figure it out myself. Worst customer service. Calling the mfg of the HVAC and they said Western had the warranty information but I let them know Western was unwilling to assist unless I hired their tech to come out. So much for going above and beyond in helping. I might have considered them for service but after the gal on the phone talked to me like that I will share about the horrid service.

I am all about good customer service and when I don't get it I will let others know to steer clear. Want good customer service on HVAC, call Wickstrom. Their techs are friendly and service oriented.

Western installed our system several years ago and did a fantastic job. Our blower motor decided to stop working yesterday. I called western and set up an appointment. Doug Harmon was our service technician. He pinpointed the problem and ordered parts and got us back in service within a few hours. Great service! Highly recommend.

We just moved into a new home and needed a whole new HVAC system. We contacted Western and let them know what we needed. Their salesman, Dennis, got set up with a good system. We let Shannon know when we would be closing on the house and she made sure we were on the schedule for first thing in the morning on Monday so that by the time we moved in we would be all set up. Jeremey and Brennan came out and did an excellent job. They were professional and courteous as they worked and there was clear attention paid to the details. The new system works great and we are very satisfied customers.

Over the last four weeks we have replaced our refrigerator, water heater and stove. We hired Western to install a new water heater and run a natural gas line to our kitchen so we could convert to a gas range and oven. All the folks we dealt with were very friendly and respectful. They called to give us an idea when they would arrive and showed up on time.

Their work was first rate. They coordinated with the city inspectors to get them onsite in a timely fashion. They cleaned up after their projects and made sure we were happy with the result. Excellent experience. Highly recommend Western.

They have done annual checks and cleans for me in the past and have always done a good job on those. I give 3 stars because their quoted out work is sooooo over the top expensive. Get your quotes people!

We had our AC go out on Friday night. That night I called and left a message to see if we could get service. I had never used western heating and air before but had a recommendation from family. They called me at 8am Saturday morning and set me up with an appointment that day! Our AC was back up and running before 5pm! The service tech Mike, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

What we thought was going to cost us a ton of money to fix ended up to be very reasonable! Hands down we recommend western heating and air.thank you for the quick knowledgeable service!

This company deserves a five stars rating because the staffs are very professional. They were able to work out a schedule for me in a short notice to replace my mom's AC. I am a repeat customer and seldom write on yelp. Western Heating has being around for a long time serving customers like myself. I am so glad I went with Western Heating. Sam was very knowledgeable and the quote that was given was what it cost to replace my ducts. The installation guys were also professional and quick. I went and looked at their work and am very satisfied with the quality of the work and that it was done right.

Our family has been customers of Western for six years. We are part of the Blue Ribbon Program which gives us heating and air conditioning maintenance twice a year. I love the peace of mind after the service guys leave and tell me everything is cleaned and working well. We live amongst the cottonwoods and having the outdoor systems cleaned makes the air conditioner work much better. I just recently had service guy, Dusty, out for our spring maintenance. Dusty was professional and polite. I definitely recommend Western Heating and Air Conditioning!

After complaining about the service in writing, we were refunded for the service call. However, there were a few excuses thrown out (didn't hear my husband say anything about the history of the heating bill, don't know the tech had requested we not be charged, etc.) that didn't coincide with my husband's conversation previously, but I digress.

There were apologies made and that was appreciated, but it just sucks that I had to complain on their website and social media to get a response. Oh well, at least they came through and did the right thing.

1/6/17 Middle of Snowmageddom 2017 the temperature was -10degrees and wouldn't you know my furnace gave out. I called Western Heating in a total frantic begging to get a technician out to my house. They were able to fit me in later that evening. My house was losing temperature rapidly. Lloyd made it out and found my fan had failed. He informed me my furnace was 22 years old and I didn't want to invest more money into that junker.

He was able to put a temporary part on to get the thing to work for the next couple days. I called Western's office and they put me in touch with Kevin. He met me at my house and explained all the options of furnaces and AC's I could purchase and showed me the operation costs. I felt no pressure and he offered to waive the service call from that cold night.

He was able to get me on the schedule for the following morning. 1/13/17 two men (Cody and Brian) braved through the snow and showed up at my door all bundled up and ready to work. I was so impressed with how hard they worked and how much attention they paid to detail. They worked all day and and was able to complete the install of my new system. The inspector came by towards the end of the day and even complimented them on how good my new furnace looked. Great job Cody and Brian. This started out as a nightmare, losing my furnace during such extreme weather, and turned into a great experience. Thank you Western Heating!

I am so happy we signed up for the seasonal check up plan with Western Heating. They come out twice a year and do a great job maintaining our HVAC system. And then when we have smaller issues, they are fast, friendly and responsive. For example, I was having trouble with our wall mounted thermostat this morning. They send a technician right over and he was super friendly and helpful (Jock!) and help me figure out the problem. It's easy to overlook a service like this.until you really need them! We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Brian came by this time for our furnace tune up for the upcoming cooler weather (although it was 90 degrees that particular day). He was great. In addition to the regularly scheduled tune up, he was able to take care of an issue with our dryer vent piping --- yet another thing our contractor messed up. Thanks Brian for making it right!

Our AC was acting strange, it wasn't cooling properly. We had company coming, so it was really important to have it working. We called Western. My dad recommended them. It felt like Lloyd was more interested in selling the maintenance package than doing his job. He didn't really know what was wrong. So, he added some refrigerant and charged us $150.

One day later, AC is still not cooling properly. So, I think Western is terrible. All about sales, not about doing their job and fixing problem. Now, we have no AC and company staying with us, EXACTLY what we were trying to avoid. Update: Western reached out to me and said that they will try to fix the situation.

We signed up for the Blue Ribbon Service in the spring & just had our fall tune-up. The technician was very kind & efficient. He noticed something was wrong with how our unit is set up & offered solutions for how we can fix it before it becomes a problem. My only complaint/suggestion is that I wish that the office would do a reminder call for the 2nd part of the service so I don't accidentally forget. Overall, great service at a reasonable rate.
