Just began to work with the company recently, I feel like my whole hvac career has been a waste till I walked into this place. I should of started here I'm sure I would of been well established happier than I am now for being part of such greatness! #TeamEddHelms 4life

I scheduled an appointment with advanced notice. When the tech arrived, they called to complain about parking and expected me to solve the problem. Being a high rise that has serviced my unit before, the protocol is the same for all 100+ buildings in the neighborhood. They refused to honor the appointment after I called off of work to accommodate.

My landlord hired this company to change out my AC unit and they did a wonderful job! The installers were Tyrone and Wilneck, they were polite and didn't leave any mess. Definitely recommend! Services: Installation, A/C system repair

The electrician was friendly and did a great job. My only pet peeve is I got charged a 10 dollar gas charge. If they do that for everyone that adds up to a lot of money.and they aren't cheap to begin with that's All. Service: General repairs

Our flexible AC ducts were "attacked" by rodents. Edd Helms, who did the original installation, made the repairs. They replaced two (2) flexible ducts from the air handler to the heads (vents). The flexible ducts are located in attic crawl space, a difficult area to work in. The crew who did the repairs were the same crew that did the original installation (this was the suggesting of the service coordinator, as they knew the system best).

The service crew did an excellent job. As our first experience with this crew, they are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. If one needs AC work, either new installation, replacement of existing AC system, or repairs, call Edd Helms, you will be pleased.

On November 1st a technician came to see what air conditioning repairs I needed. I wasn't surprised, I needed a new air conditioner. Mine was twenty years old. The technician couldn't give me an estimate for what I needed. "It wasn't his expertise." I needed to see a salesperson. I asked if I could go to the office to speed things up. I had waited three days just to get this initial opinion. "No, a salesperson would have to look at my apartment." On November 2nd I called the office to make an appointment with a salesperson.

I was told that my information was sent to their laptop. Basically - don't call us - we'll call you. It is November 20th as I write this. No phone calls - texts - emails. They had my email because I was sent a receipt for the $94 it cost me to have someone look at my air conditioner. So three weeks later - no air - and I am out $94. I only called this company because of their good reviews. I want to share my experience.

Edd Helms came out and replaced my 15 year unit with a brand new one. Worked quickly to acquire city permits and had no issues getting COI registered with my apartment building to make the installation as smooth as possible. Great service! Service: Installation

I had previously posted a 5 star review. I put it up immediately, but within 2 days an issue arose that caused me to edit the review. I scheduled an annual maintainence for my AC. A Helms tech came and conducted what seemed to be a 5 star maintenance. He reported one potential future problem, compressor blades showing corrosion from salt air, and showed me how to maintain it.

But there will eventually be a problem with them. Two days later my house began to not cool down. I called the company to register the issue. They said that if I cleaned the blades, that might help. They suggested a service call to recheck the blades. They would probably need replacement for $655. A service call charge would be rolled into the cost.

This bothered me as the AC had been working fine before my first call. I called a different AC company. They found ice on the evaporator coil and low Freon, but no leaks. They added 3 pounds of freon. All this is within 3 days of my original call. I called Edd Helms back and told them about the incident. I asked to be made whole on the maintenance call. CS said she would refer to department manager.

It is now 3 weeks later and no one has contacted me. This is so disappointing because I believe Helms has a good reputation. On this issue almost everything has been poorly handled. This review will probably be taken down.,

Excellent service in a very short amount of time. When I learned that my air conditioning handler needed a new motor, I was very happy to hear that they got one for me next day, and installed within 24 hours of initial call. I’m a very happy Edd Helms Value customer.

Edd Helms has been servicing our split duct AC unit for our home and wine cellar for 17 years. In fact, they also were the initial install of the wine cellar that we built. They remain the best company we have used. Their reps are professional and knowledgeable always. I feel like they are looking out for us as a partner. Excellent service and quality company. Very professional, courteous and on-time. Completed what was to me a complex electric system in my house including new outdoor main breaker box, new copper main feed wires, new up to code grounding system, and a new state-of-the-art inside breaker box. Crew of 3, did it all in five hours as promised. One small update done per the inspector and we were good to go. You get what you pay for and maybe more, with Edd Helms.

Highly Recommend !!! I bought a condo for my son that was in really poor condition as far as electrical and A/C goes but and knew it had potential if replaced. It needed a new A/C and all new electrical including a new circuit breaker box. I have been using Edd Helms for my own house for the past 20 years for servicing my A/C and even replacing it once.

I knew that they would do a great job. I was right! They replaced the antiquated circuit breaker box and all the electrical outlets and light switches including hanging new light fixtures. Also installing a new A/C unit in the condo and up on the roof a new compressor. The arrived on time and worked to beyond my satisfaction! I only have the BEST things to say about them and their work.
