Advanced Heating & AC

We used advanced for our home for replacement of our circa 1970 furnace and install of an air conditioner. Their price was competitive and they were very responsive to my wife's request to make the unit as quiet as possible. Came back twice to adjust vents and ducting to make it just right. We were so happy with everything that we used them again to add AC to our rental property. I would definitely recommend them.

Advanced Heating was willing to replace an old PTAC (through the wall air conditioner) that other hvac companies wouldn't bother with. Others told me they couldn't get one or wouldn't consider replacing my old unit. Advanced didn't hesitate to find one and install it in a timely manner. They were also the only company that was able to figure why my 2 year old furnace (purchased and installed by another local hvac company) sounded like a jet taking off on start up. In other words, ADVANCED CARES enough to take time to help their customers and has knowledgeable people working for them. I'm so appreciative of that.

Had a tankless hot water heater installed. Overall that process went reasonably well. However, during the install I lost almost all hot water pressure to my shower. The sent the plumber back out to address the issue. Instead of fixing it or offering ideas, they pulled the shower faucet and handle out of the caulking. I reached out to them asking what could be done but never heard back from them. I had to find another plumber to fix that issue. I would be cautious when using Advanced.

My wife and I just purchased a 70 year old house in Portland. Great house but needed some much needed upgrades. One of which was a full HVAC system. Greg the point person was great to work with. The gentleman who actually performed the work was Chad Hacking. He was polite, efficient and communicative. He always answered my questions and was responsive to my wants.

I wanted to hide the AC compressor behind the house, not on the side where it had sat. No problem. Chad and his friendly apprentice, cleaned up and left the place spotless. They even put a light fixture in the furnace room, unsolicited. I had a great experience with this company. Chad even saw to it that I was only with out heat for the shortest time possible. They even provided a space heater. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to upgrade their heating/cooling system. Top notch.

Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning is a top company. We have been using them to clean our gas heater for years. When it came time to replace it, they were the one we called. Excellent work ethics. And when we finally gave in and wanted AC, we called them again. We have recommended them to others, who have chosen Advanced Heating themselves.

A+++ I don't usually write reviews but when someone does an outstanding job, I think they should be recognized. We had seven different companies quote our project. It was a major remodel involving moving the HVAC from the garage to the attic space above the second floor. Greg spent a lot of time understanding our project and recommending ways to improve the system.

Advanced was the only company to propose adding additional cold air returns to balance the air floor better. Our two-story home only had a single cold air return, but Greg proposed adding an additional 6 cold air returns (one in each bedroom and one in the library). He also proposed a three-zone system to better balance the upstairs, downstairs, and the new master bedroom over the garage. Greg's solution was the most complex of any of the seven quotes we received but it was not the most expensive.

In fact, the Advanced quote was right in the middle. I did some research about the company and based on the reviews we selected Advanced. Even though we had several months of demo and construction ahead before we would be ready to have the new system installed, Greg suggested that we buy the HVAC unit, and they would store it until we were ready. He was pretty sure that there was going to be a significant price hike, so this assured us the lowest cost.

We went ahead and followed Greg's advice. At that time no one anticipated all the supply chain problems that were on the horizon. If we had waited to order the system until we were close to being ready, we would have been out of luck for many months. But one thing we didn't order in advance was the ductwork - who would have guessed that flexible ductwork would be out of stock.

But that is exactly what happened when it was time to do our installation. Greg and the team at Advanced went out of their way to find the ductwork we needed. They searched all over the Northwest finding a box of ductwork in Washington, another box in Montana, . They somehow managed to get just enough ductwork to do our installation. Unfortunately, due to other delays in the project, the system was scheduled to be installed in an uninsulated attic space in August right during Portland's 109-degree heatwave.

The crew came early in the morning and worked as long as they could safely each day. That was real dedication. But how did the finished project turn out? The three-zone system is fantastic. Every morning when I get up all three zones are within one degree of each other and there are no more hot/cold rooms in each zone. All the extra ductwork for the six new cold air returns has really helped balance the rooms.

Even on the coldest days this past winter the entire house was consistent and comfortable. I highly recommend Advanced Heating and cooling for three reasons. 1) They sell Trane HVAC units - we have used Trane in the past with excellent results. 2) They are reasonably priced, not the cheapest and definitely not the most expensive. 3) They have a committed team of professionals who go above and beyond what you typically get.

Five years ago, Advanced Heating installed a new Heat Pump system in my mother's house that didn't go well. The installation was done poorly, but sometimes that happens and Advanced made it right at no extra cost. A few months ago the temp regulating electronics malfunctioned, but sometimes equipment fails and Advanced made it right at a reasonable cost.

I am so impressed with Advanced Heating's high regards for customer satisfaction that I chose Advanced Heating for my own Heating and AC system (that was installed perfectly and has been running great for 2 years) and my daughter's Heating system (that was installed perfectly and has been running great for 2 months). I rarely post online reviews-maybe because I can't write short reviews-but their service has been so impressive these past 5 years it wouldn't be right not to tell others about Advanced Heating's superb efforts to achieve and keep our high satisfaction.

This company just today, finished putting in a new gas heating unit for our 1,100 sq.ft. home. Well, from Start-to-Finish, these folks were pleasant, knowledgeably, GREAT with communication, and Extra-Great with the day and half required to get the job done. The crew was very clean and detailed with their work: preparation and clean-up, and we always knew 'what-was-up' with the process, and the whole job was done on time!

Our initial estimator, Greg, was one of the most gregarious( no pun intended) and savvy guy who knew all about the engineering stuff of heating, the gizmos and the bells-and-whistles, and what stuff for our home just might be underperforming and overperforming. We sure appreciated his approach and personality. A fine salesman. The Job Crew of Ben and Jesus were straight-up and steady, and accomplished workers. YUP. I sure do recommend this company.

They came out to install/relocate vents for our 2nd floor remodel. They were on time did their work and cleaned up nicely. They even came back after other work was completed to put the finishing touches on one item. Advance installed our furnace about 6 years ago too. Good local company. I recommend them for your HVAC needs.

I enjoyed my experience with Advanced. They sent an easy-to-talk to HVAC tech, and gave me a fair estimate. When I signed the contract, they came right away to install my furnace. They helped me understand exactly which product I needed, and made it easy to learn how my new furnace works. New my heating system was installed in a high quality fashion, and I have not had any problems with it. I am very satisfied with the work they did.

I had an AC unit installed in May by the team at Advanced Heating and they were nothing but professional. The estimate took a few minutes and was super informative and honest about my options. Installation was approved and scheduled in a matter of days. The installation took one working day and was super non-invasive. The technician took me through the process start to end and was extremely communicative with any decisions that needed to be made.

We ended up needed to move the placement from the estimate and they made sure to get my approval before anything was installed. The system is running great and saved us from the heat wave. I'll be using AHAC for all my needs from now on!
