We had an excellent experience with BA Morrison. We called to have someone check out our furnace that seemed to be having an intermittent issue with the blower. Within a few days, Roger came right on time. He took care of the furnace issue, evaluated the A/C Unit. His explanations about the problem and the fix were easy to understand. It's a welcome to have excellent customer service. When it comes time to replace the furnace and A/C unit, we will return to BA Morrison for their expertise.

Critical: Responsiveness Our furnace was not working. We called and were transferred to an answering system. After an hour we called again, again an answering system, we did receive a return call where we were told by the repair man would that he would be by that day. We have not heard from anyone since. We got our home's original 50yo furnace replaced by BA Morrison earlier this winter and it has made a WORLD of difference. We were referred by relatives and we couldn't have had a better recommendation. Joe came out for our quote and was professional, friendly, and honest. He didn't try to upsell us; we just said that we needed a new heater to fit in the same space and he knew the model that would fit there.
He emailed our quote within a few hours (fair and great price, and they don't outsource contractors/labor like most other companies, it's all their own workers) and were booked for the next opening. Robert and assistant Sam came on installation day and didn't disappoint. They were courteous and worked hard all day on removing the old furnace and setting up the new one.
They were neat, cleaned up, and explained everything: how the new furnace operated, new filters to buy, showing the new vent and sealing, explaining the new thermostat. Their work was high quality and they took care each step of the way. Our new heater works like a jewel, no comparison to the old one that was barely functioning. Stellar service from the whole BA Morrison team, a top notch mom n pop business.

In the cold of winter, 5 days before thanksgiving, our furnace went out due to power surge. Contacted about 7 service companies and most could not look at until after holiday and several did not even respond due to peak season. Contacted BA Morrison (who I've used in past) and they also were fully booked, but explained we had an elderly family member we care for and really need heat.
They said they will see if they can squeeze us in between appts next day. Received call around 1pm they were on the way. Ken & Sam arrived at 1:10pm and were done by 1:30pm and heat was back on. Ken methodically diagnoised problem and after replacing transformer, he tested all other functions and even cleaned of ignitor to assure good clean burn. They also use fixed book pricing so don't have to worry about gouging. Great job!

Our service experience: Prompt. Efficient. Honest. Cold day, heater died. Called BAM (B.A. Morrison), left message. Bam! 30 minutes later showed up. Bam! 5 minutes later problem fixed. Admittedly, a simple problem and maybe they were in the area, but promptness and professionalism should be saluted. Technician, Mr. Bent, was knowledgeable, personable, efficient and thorough.
When it comes to service contractors that work on essential equipment in emergency situations, there are some wolves out there (ambulance chasers). "Pricing" and "findings" depend on your level of desperation. Rest assured, B. A. Morrison is not one of those.

Called in Oct/Nov2020 to schedule a quote for a complete hvac replacement. Being local and rated well I figured they'd be a good fit. When arranging a time for a quote I was told they're extremely busy and it would be at least two weeks before they could get to me for a quote. No problem, gave my information and address, set a time for two weeks. No call, no show. Called to follow up, calls went unanswered and voicemails unreturned. Communication is key to me.

They installed a complete HVAC system for my house in Castro valley. They might not be the cheapest, but they are the most professional andcleanest installation you will ever have. And you can rely on them if anything happens in the future, there will come and fix it. I learned that the cheapest is not always good. They are fair in there prices and the best installation you will ever have. William

We tried to use BA Morrison for installation of an entirely new HVAC system in our home. A guy showed up on time and walked us through the whole process for 45 minutes. Said we would get an estimate in a week. 3 weeks no estimate, no call, no follow-up whatsoever. I called twice and each time I was told by the person who answered that it was either on its way or was emailed. I even checked my spam folder. All a lie. Beware, do not waste your time with this highly unprofessional business.

The team from BA Morrison just replaced our 30 year old furnace with a combination heat/AC unit. This was a long overdue project that they did perfectly! On time, on budget and even went above and beyond to add some insulation for better sound control. Great communication and did the job with masks the entire job and kept us informed about every step of the project. We're excited to now have a more energy efficient unit and refreshing AC for the summer months! Thank you Mike and your team from BA Morrison!

They installed a new heater for us today. Especially challenging because our house is 70 years old, so always has to be brought to code whenever a repair/replacement is needed. The crew was wonderful, so pleasant. Everyone had masks. They put down drop cloths, and cleaned-up when completed. Did a great job on the installation and necessary patch work to the wall? I would definitely recommend them. Thank you for making it so easy

2 years back i purchase new A/C and heating from BA Morrison and everything works 100 percent and we are very satisfied Recently we heard some noise from our bathroom wall and the cats we going crazy so, we hired pest control to check on what is happening and right away he saw a gapping hole where the A/C wire comes out from the house. i contacted Mr Morrison and told him that his staff did not seal the outlet and need him to fixed it properly. He personally came over and seal the hole i truly appreciate him doing it even though it was 2 years ago

I don't usually write reviews on Yelp but I felt the need to let others know that this is a great business. I used BA Morrison six years ago to install a central AC system in my house. The service was great back then. Professional people offering services as promised at a fair price. I called BA Morrison earlier this week to schedule a repair of the AC unit. Today, Roger was dispatched and called me ahead of time when he was arriving.
He wore a mask and booties and took him only a short time to diagnose the problem. My AC was working again within the hour. Again, I've had nothing but a positive experience with this company. They're a local small business in my neighborhood and I will continue to recommend them to my family and friends.

Okay, I gave this company a try and several chances since it was recommended by so many people but this has been my experience trying to get AC in my home. 1. called and requested an appt, nothing after several days of waiting 2. called again and they said that someone would get back to me. Gave up but several days later someone called back saying they could come by later that day. Great. 3. Arrived WITHOUT masks (hello we're in a pandemic) didn't offer to put covers over shoes.

Waited over a week and got nothing so finally emailed him and said where is my estimate? 6. Said he wrote my name down wrong and sent it to the wrong email address and will tell someone to resend.
I said ok. 7. 2 days go by and nothing. I emailed him again saying where is my estimate? Nothing. This is way too much work for me if you want my business. Also, I highly suggest someone at the company have their estimators wear masks!

We had a service call scheduled with B.A.Morrison on July 14, 2020. B.A.Morrison Tech Ken came out to service both our units at our residence on Palomares Hills. Two weeks later one of the units stopped working and we thought that the unit being old just broke. Our neighbor was having a mechanic come and fix her air conditioning unit and this gentleman came and checked the unit and said that it needs Freon.
He charged it up for only $ 80 + $ 60 tip. I am very disappointed with the service of B.A.Morrison as their tech Ken should have checked the unit thoroughly and should have taken care of any issues with the A/C unit. I have six 3 ton A/C units on my warehouse building in Tracy and when it is serviced the tech takes care of everything and never had any issues. These units are taken care of by Angels Heating and AC. Unfortunately they do not come to Castro Valley. For this job, I will give B.A.Morrison an F-

We had PG&E come out & do some maintenance on our gas line. They found a small leak on an antiquated, ancient gate valve. They said we had to hire someone to fix it. Our go to company is B.A. Morrison. Gave them a call, was quoted a price & the next day we had someone stop by and assess the problem. Shortly after a affable, no nonsense guy named Carl came back & said he'd have it done in less than an hour. 40 minutes later he had valve replaced & lighted the water heater pilot light. Just like Carl B.A. Morrison is quick & true to their word. It's a crapshoot with most local heating, air & HVAC companies. Not these guys.

We were very disappointed. Called regarding front porch repair and new railing installment. A representative came out and looked at the project and said he would consult an engineer and come back with an estimate. He never called us back after both my husband and I tried to reach them. I called yesterday and no return call. Called today and cancelled project as if there was anything to cancel and all the receptionist could say was "that's too bad". Can you imagine wasted 2 months to hear from this company?

They don't like fixing older furnaces and just want to overcharge for new systems. I decided to try them because they were my neighbor when I lived in Castro Valley. They told me they could not get a gas valve, I found one but it was over $400. They stated that the burners were corroded. Check out this casting looks fine to me. So I offered them to fix the furnace with the gas valve, no call back.
I purchased a furnace offered them to install it, no call back. There goal is to get their techs to as many addresses as possible to bill $145 for doing nothing. They are a lousy contractor and I would never recommend them to anyone.

My in laws (97+ and 100+ years old) experienced the other cold morning a unpleasant experience with their home furnace, (it stopped working). Being under care with family caretakers and home health services it could have been a difficult situation. "THANKS to BA Morrison's" office staff and Roger their field technician this problem was fixed immediately.
We appreciate your knowledgeable staff and caring compassion very much. BA Morrison installed the complete new heating system years ago and have always been available in a timely manner for annual service maintenance. Five stars for sure.

Replaced an old central air system and added air conditioning. We had one quote from an "acquaintance" that took almost a month to receive. We knew it was going to be a sizable expense so I called BA Morrison for a second quote. The day I called, Mike said he could come by the house, and he did. Said he would have a quote on Tuesday and we had it.
Not only was the quote more favorable, but I started thinking, it's obvious they do what they say they will that will make the process much easier. They arrived at 8am as promised. Total sham. Stay away from these guys. I had them come to do duct work and a furnace install. From the get-go the came up with an undersized furnace that I even questioned (I was told it was fine.) During the install they fried my thermostat (they reimbursed me and I had to install a new one myself.) The final straw was that they never installed a neutralizer on the condensate drain from the furnace.
I had no idea how that worked and had to learn the hard way. When a high-efficiency condensates the water is highly acidic. When BA Morrison ran it out and dumped it on the concrete next to my house it began to eat into the concrete. What really killed me was the owner, Brian Morrison, denying that they even did the work. Luckily I happened to have the paperwork from the install on hand. Attached you can see that BA Morrison was the applicant and the listed contractor for the permit as well as Brian Morrison's name and license number. You can also see who the country signed off on for the final. Their idea of customer service is to literally lie to your face.
