Monrovia Aire. started 2005 as a vision to build a heating and air conditioning firm that has it's client's interest at heart. A vision to go back in time where business was more personable, when client service and the quality of work was always the main focus. That vision has become reality.

Richard and Monrovia Air are GREAT! I had a wonderful experience - he recently installed new central heat and air. He, Steve and his crew were professional, honest, pleasant, and they made sure everything was working exactly as I wanted it to before they left. Oh, and the price was fair! This company has my highest recommendation. If you need HVAC service, call these guys!

There's only a few reviews below that have more than 20 reviews, not sure how legit the rest is. But MY experience was horrible, if not downright crooked. MY HVAC was not cold so I asked someone to come take a look and see if you could pour in Freon because that's what I THOUGHT I needed, but I'm not an expert, I don't know what's wrong, it was just my hunch.
The guy came out, hooked up his meter, and asked me what type of Freon I needed, explained what he actually has in stock, fine. He plugs it in, said it's $50 per lb, and charged me another $90 for diagnostic fee. He did his thing, and left. He also wrote the WRONG name on my receipt, which I didn't think any of it, his boss did call me back and asked me if I wanted the guy to come back and change the name, I said it was fine, since i TRUSTED them.
I turned on my AC, he said leave it on for 30 minutes, I'll feel a difference, there was NO difference. I called ANOTHER COMPANY to come out, and they charged me $60 for diagnostic fee, and the problem wasn't even Freon. He said the pressure was so high, it's probably the coils? that were clogged, and that putting in Freon doesn't make sense.
They suspected the first guy came out A) turned on the machine but didn't actually give me Freon and B) he also did not give me the right diagnosis, which I paid him $90 for. And I asked if there's anyway to prove it, they said as experts there's probably no actual way to prove anything. I was just outed $290. These guys are CROOKS, DO NOT HIRE.

OK where do I begin? I'm the owner of an Amana 15 Seer Packaged Unit (A/C & Heat) located on my roof; the installing company came out just a few days before my troubles began and serviced my A/C unit as they owed me one more Free service after the new install in 2011. The blower ceased working on 07 May (Sunday) and I called the installing company on 08 May (Early morning) asking them to come and see if perhaps the service guy did something wrong.
They sent someone out on the 10th and diagnosed a failed blower fan motor which was under the 10 year warranty by Amana - until today, 18 May, they still say that the part is not available. After being as patient as I could until 16 May with no call backs, I contacted Richard of Monrovia Aire; not only did he attentively listen to my sob story but he actually seemed to trust me with all the details and relaying the information regarding the machine and warranty.
Within 30 minutes, Richard called me back and told me he is working on it, he needed some further information regarding the warranty; he managed to find the part the next morning and arranged to have it couriered to him in time for a Thursday AM appointment to switch out the motor. Tony, technician, came out as promised and he got straight to work, opened the panel, disassembled the blower assembly, switched out the motor and reconnected it.
The system works like a charm; the windings were bad on the original blower fan motor - this was a simple job for an A/C company but please be sure to find someone that cares! Thank you Richard, Thank you Tony! To top it all off, I'm out of their service area and they said 'Don't worry, we'll take care of you!' They meant it! Bravo, great team, great guys! The easier way would have been to say 'Sorry, I can't find the part!'.

Richard was up front about when they could be here and what the minimum costs would be. Tony got here a bit early and got right to work. He found the problem right away, replaced a part and checked out my system. No up-sell, no BS. This is the way a company should operate and a service call should be done. I highly recommend this company.

Everything I read on Yelp, about how good this company is, is absolutely true. I'm happy to add one more favorable review. Tony arrived early, before the start of the appointment window. He is very personable and customer oriented and immediately went to work diagnosing the problem. Within minutes, he had the problem identified as a bad capacitor, a relative inexpensive item.
He had a replacement part on hand and had the new one in place within minutes. Cool air was flowing again. Tony fully explained their warranty policy and said to call him if we had any problems. I could not be happier with this experience. Monrovia Aire is the company you want working on your A/C and heating system. Prompt arrival, fast, expert service, friendly, knowledgeable, respectful service technicians, reasonable prices and honest recommendations. This really is as good as it gets.

I called several air conditioning establishments to get service for my non working unit and all, in this hot weather, had a long waiting list of clients wanting service. I called Monrovia Aire, left a message and a few minutes I received a call back from a Richard. He said his men were already in the Pasadena area and could come within an hour and a half and that they did.
It was Tony the tech man and his assistant Matthew. He diagnosed the problem immediately, fixed it and checked everything out before leaving. The price was more than reasonable and we will use their services forever.

We have a house that came with an old a/c. When we bought the home, the inspector said we would be lucky if it lasted another year or two. Two years later, it is still running. Last year we had a local a/c company do our annual service, & were happy with them. Unfortunately, I misplaced the receipt & we couldn't remember what company we had used. So, when a different company cold-called the house offering annual service, we scheduled it.
After they inspected everything, they told us that we needed to buy a new a/c system, which would be $9000 (unless we waiting too long, then it would be $10,000). That sounded like a scam to us, & we wanted another opinion. I found Monrovia Aire on yelp was encouraged by the positive reviews (& angie's list). I left a message Saturday morning, Richard called back the same day, & Tony came out Monday morning. $167 later, we have a cleared out drainage line (which was clogged) & a new electrical part. Nothing else was wrong with our unit. My husband & I are very happy with Monrovia Aire's great work, service, & honesty. We will go to them for all future a/c needs!

I have used Monrovia Aire several times, and I've always been happy with their service and price. I first called them in summer 2011 when the AC suddenly stopped working in my Monrovia rental house. Although they said they could fix the problem, the fix might not last and the unit was very old (which I knew was true). So they put in a new unit at a very reasonable price, and it works great.
Later they put in a new AC unit upstairs in my own home, and new furnaces both up and downstairs. Everything has worked great, and they are very responsive for routine maintenance. I agree that this is an honest company that does excellent work at a very fair price--and they are really nice people, too!

The last AC company I called for help quoted me $900 to fix a problem that ended up being a $200 issue, so you can see why i'd be a little apprehensive to call anyone. When my AC stopped blowing, I called Monrovia Aire and they sent out Tony to help fix it. He looked up in the attic for a few minutes, came back down and told me it was a $39 fix. I paid my $129 bill and my AC has been working great ever since. I will refer this company every chance I can. They won over by business for sure! Thanks Monrovia Aire!

I've worked with Richard at Monrovia Aire on two separate occasions and have thoroughly been pleased with their service. He was very helpful, honest, and provided outstanding service. He quickly responded to my email, had one of his service agents diagnose the problem, and kept me in the loop. The problem was solved in a day. No upselling and I felt like he was totally looking out for my best interest. Finally, someone I can trust. He stands behind his work and is someone who I would highly recommend to anyone.
