WARNING! Caution if even thinking about using this company. The salespeople talk a good talk, but do not listen to your requirements! Have communication skills, yet are NEVER able to solve a problem or live up to a what the customer requires. Have bought Lennox AC unit in past with NO problems from another company in another area. Don't know if our issues are company or product deficiencies, or both! THIS COMPANY DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR! Was required to give one.

Super unprofessional, found them through Costco and was hoping they would be good and trustworthy. They started lying off the bat about what they could offer and blamed everything on Costco. For example, I wanted a nest thermostats not some cheap off brand they wanted to use and they said Costco didn't allow them to give nests. Well I went to Costco and they told me there was no such rule and Costco called them and got that sorted out. This was among many other lies don't go with this company I know glad they backed out.

Live in Huntington Beach and requested an in-person quote last week for new A/C and possible furnace replacement. The representative came over and was nice, spending over 90 minutes explaining everything about the process and what we would need. Gave us a price and said if we signed today, it would be $700 off. I felt that was a bit odd and was almost like a high pressure sales tactic.
I said we would think about. We then got an email the next day, Christmas Eve, where the representative said he made a miscalculation on the quote (in our favor), but said he would honor the price he put in writing. Then, on Christmas day, we received another email where he said the price was going to have to reflect the new calculation, being approximately $2,400 ABOVE what he said 2 days prior in person. "good faith" mistake or not, the inconsistency of agreeing to accept the written quote then changing his mind a day later, ON CHRISTMAS, is very concerning.

We've been working with A Plus Heating & Air for years. We do the HERS Test inspection after their installations are completed. I must say that A Plus is one of our top clients. They do a fantastic job on their installs and they always pass their HERS test inspections. They are the supplier for Costco on Lennox furnace/AC. I already had 4 quotes for a new furnace/AC replacement when I went into Costco that morning. But when I saw the salesman on the floor, I had to get a quote from them since they're backed by Costco. Upon Pat coming over to give me a quote, the Lennox unit under Costco's package was not going to work for the slim line condenser that I wanted and I would have to be given a quote outside of Costco's package.
I was already disappointed about that. When I asked Pat what the rough estimate is on the Carrier brand slim line, he was nearing more than double my lowest bid. I provided the company of the lowest bid only for him to diminish that company's service & reliability to sustain a long.successful business. I expressed to Pat that I wanted the quote as soon as possible in like an hour max so my husband & I could make a decision, he took his time and didn't email me until hrs later.
That email didn't even have a quote. Instead he wanted me to provide the lowest bidder's quote for him to submit to his Supervisor in order to match them. I told him no need to go that route if they'd only match. I even Yelped them to see what their rating is and boy was I surprised at their poor 3 star rating. I read their reviews and was shocked that as Costco suppliers for furnace/AC installations they had such a low rating.

Staci and her crew are professional, courteous, and thorough in the process of purchase and install of a new HVAC system completed a year ago. This review is most overdue but have to say that Staci truly kept me in the loop throughout the project and followed up with any and all concerns along the way. We paid quite a bit to have a new a/c unit put into our home by this company who was referred through Costco. (I will be calling Costco to complain about them as well). Our a/c unit is less than 3 years old. The motor needs to be fixed or replaced and A Plus wants to charge $129 plus $179 per hour labor with a 2 hour minimum to come out and "look" at what they installed less than 3 years ago.
The unit is also giving our smart devices alerts that there is something wrong with the furnace that they installed. I called and spoke with Stacy and she gave me the song and dance that they want to do what it takes to make their clients happy. I advised her that in this case she needs to waive the charges for such a new unit that they put in! A call to consumer affairs, better business bureau and Costco is next. Bad news travels fast.

We went through Costco to have central AC and heating installed in our home. While the unit works well, the team left a mess in their path. They took no pride in cleaning up after them. We found multiple screws laying around on the floor. Good thank I found them and not my young children. Despite having a crawl space, they took the opportunity to break a metal screen to get under then house.
Well they didn't tell us and it was off for 3 days before we noticed. So my husband classed it but now we have an animal under the house that wakes us up every night to trying to get out. When we told them, the acknowledged the error and said the animal was not their problem. I would NOT recommend this company.

We were referred to the company by Costco and they were amazing in every way possible. I inputted a request online for a quote on a Friday afternoon, received a call to schedule an appointment within an hour, and Craig arrived Saturday afternoon. After discussing our needs, we went with a 4-ton split ductless system. The installers were extremely professional, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure I knew how to work my new unit before leaving. Lastly, the ladies in the office were always kind and helpful with getting my city's inspection and permit signed. Thanks A Plus for helping make our home a little bit more comfortable.

Just finished everything. We are very happy with our purchase. Our City inspector told us they did a really good job on the install. Everyone was friendly and kept everything clean. We love the thermostat and how the A/C runs. Our sales person was very knowledgeable. Answered all our questions and made sure we knew everything about our new unit. Found this company through Costco. Although price was higher than other quotes, decided to use them because of cash back incentives and since I trust Costco. Customer service was fantastic up until they received my payment in full. Then suddenly the tides changed. Job was complete but installers ripped a whole in my ceiling. They attempted to patch and paint but did a half @ss job doing it.
See picture. I sent them pictures of their unsatisfactory job and two weeks later they sent another guy to fix it. But expected us to provide the material. Why should we be expected to provide the materials if THEY damaged it? Guy left, didn't do anything. Called again. It's now been over a month since they installed the unit and damaged our ceiling.
Guy came out, painted but didn't fix the patchy ceiling. See picture. They'll hear from me again. I'm just so furious that we spent so much money to be left with this. Fine the AC works, but now we have an eyesore. Read the reviews. Looks like I'm not the only dissatisfied customer. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Good at the beginning, but they installed the wrong sized filter the at falls through the hole at the bottom of the filter housing. They left a support for the lip of the closet enclosure that was in the way of the door to replace the filter, so i could not open the door all the way. they left a wood screw sticking out in the way of the door of the filter housing where your hand can get stuck/stabbed guess what happened to my hand?! I have left multiple calls to have them set up a final inspection with the city/county inspector w/o a call back.

Customers beware, ,, I had to give them one star to get on the Yelp reviews but they deserve an F- their installation is horrible, 4 weeks after installing the air conditioner we find out their installer never welded the pipes, so the gas had lealed out, blowing out only hot air then we have a propane problem we had leaking propane for 11 months, when I call them to come and fix it they denied that they had done anything wrong, I insisted they came out finally I beg them to come out and fix the propane pipes in my house, we have video tape of the propane leaking two feet away from the water heater which has an open flame our house could have blown up.
I called the gas company and the fire department and they told me to immediately turn off the gas and do not turn it on until the company came out to fix, their installers don't care what they do they just want to get in and out, every time I've spoken with someone in the office they pass the bucket to someone else they never want to give me the person that is in charge name everybody there is just an office employee they do not take responsibility I have requested my propane to being reimbursed and their project manager Tarcicio told us do what you have to do you're not getting reimbursed for your propane that was wasted, the office administrator Georgia Sparks promises to call back and she has never returned my phone calls. Customers beware of their bad service

This review is just for the yelp quote response from the company. I called Lennox to obtain some warranty information about our unit since it more than likely needed a replacement part. Lennox ended up providing me with a few different numbers to call and A Plus was one of them. I requested for a quote through yelp and received a response that they basically do not service units they don't install. I can't say much about their workmanship, but it was probably best I shouldn't go through them now given the other reviews.

This company is like a PREDATOR lurking in the aisle of COSTCO, looking for its prey. Paid $ 18,000.00 for an 1100 sq. foot home for central AC/HEAT. Of that $ 4,000.00 went to put the heater in the attic. They said they don't fix damage cause by the project. They damaged my floor; you can see the roof from my ceiling, and have to clean-up after their workers.
Supposed to be a 3 day job, but the said they don't have the manpower. It's been21 days from the suppose date of completion. Our master bedroom is still hot, the I need to use 2 extra fans to be comfortable. Wait, and I need to call the city to sign off the project and pay extra fees? It is a project from hell, and true, never pay them before the project is completed, even if its COSTCO. Unbelievable, it's the price of a new car

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO 1) when they come out to give you "information", they bring contracts with them and pressure you to sign them on the spot. 2) if you do decide to hire them make sure you read the contract very carefully before you sign & WATCH YOUR FIRST BILL VERY CAREFULLY! The contract we had said 0% financing, but when we got our first bill there were finance charges applied. 3) trying to set appointments with them is like trying to control a room full of preschoolers, everyone has a different story.
When all work was complete and the city needed to come out for an inspection all I can say is some very strange miscommunication was happening. The first appointment that was set up for the "city" to come out to inspect the work was actually THEM coming out to inspect. Then they set up another date for the real city inspector to come out but I had to change it due to scheduling conflicts.
I called a plus and they rescheduled the appointment. So I thought. The inspector still came out on the original appointment date and left a door hanger card that they had been by. I called them and left a message. Then I called a plus and they said that they HAD changed the appointment date, but when the city returned my phone call they said they had no appointment for that day!
Very confusing! Oh and one last thing. when A Plus tells you that the city "may" require an HERS test. ummm. actually that is a state requirement and WILL BE required. But if you were just thinking about it, be aware of what you're getting into.

I have to provide customers of an update today. It's been one year since my unit was installed. I can thank Tarcisio Barragan. I scheduled a call for him to come out to my home and he kept his word from one year ago. He came out to make sure everything was working and checked the freon and it was good. I heard a clicking noise and I was afraid of a fire starting in the attic and I'd never had that clicking noise in 14 years.
It wound up being the filter in the hallway. I have two large sponges to keep it from being pulled up and making noise, but for some reason this year, there was a gap and when it was settling, it was making a clicking nose. I love my Honeywell app and wifi thermostat. I use it constantly--in bed when it gets too hot, in my office while I'm working and even while I watch t.v.
You have to make sure and get a wifi thermostat! The 16 SEER TRANE with R44 freon unit still isn't as cold as my older unit with the R22 freon and my electric bill is actually higher than my old 10 SEER unit, but I commend Tarcisio for being a stellar guy and keeping his word and checking things out to make sure everything is working well. I will be using them for the annual maintenance in case anything happens during the warranty period to make sure it's taken care of properly. I told him without him asking, that I was going to raise my review because he's a valuable commodity for this company and I, as a consumer, greatly appreciate it.

These guys contract out with Costco. I set up an appointment for these guys to come Yesterday at 3 and no one ever showed. Set up an appointment a week ago, they said today was the earliest day they could come out. So I was patient and decided to wait and get their quote before we picked who we wanted. Today comes and at 3:45 I call and it takes until 4:30 for them to get back to me where they just told me that no one was available to come out today and would i like to reschedule for tomorrow.
I just said "no we have other quotes" and say said "ok". Do yourself a favor and contact Advantage Heating and sheet metal inc (831-636-0766) they'll come out to your house within 24 hours, do a complete inspection on your house and give you a quote on the spot.

It is my pleasure to give A Plus company 5 stars and let me tell why. We had a complete replacement and installment of new HVAC and furnace system, including ducts etc., done last year. Service- My husband and I inquired about the furnace via Costco program. An A Plus Manager (or perhaps the owner?) came out to meet with us at home and explained the different types of furnaces.
We agreed to purchase the most the most efficient product/system, best suited for our needs and home. A Plus completed the job in the most expeditious way. The workers were very knowledgeable and explained things to me in full detail before, during and after the installation. I had them come out a few times to fix minor issues and I was happy with the solutions and results.
Customer service is top-notch. I have been corresponding with Yancy, the customer service rep, who was courteous and pleasant. She is the liaison in scheduling inspections (third party vendor and city inspections). While the entire process took a year (busy schedule), I am glad to have gone through the process. I have peace of mind that all was done correctly and safely.
Product - We are quite happy with the system. It is energy efficient, quiet and effective. My electric bill has been lower than previous years', even with higher A/C usage. The furnace and its technology is of course better than the decades-old version we had. It is state of the art! Overall, purchasing the HVAC/Furnace system through Costco and A Plus was a great investment!
The system positively increased the value of the house. We are enjoying our home much better, in cold or hot days. Thanks to A Plus for making the installation a good experience!

I just had them come out and they were amazing. They were used as a "second opinion" because of the first company(which was TERRIBLE, ATLAS HVAC). They searched and found the problem immediately. The service man that came out, named Ehab, was great! I so appreciate his diligence in finding the problem. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again!

Like other reviews, I have a Costco unit purchased in 2013, which used this company for install. Decided to use the same company for service due to the AC not cooling properly. Appointment was scheduled for 9-11. About 1045 there had been no word from them. After initiating contact with the office, they said the tech could not make it until 1pm. Well, at 2pm the tech finally arrived.
He was more concerned with making sure we were paying the trip charge prior to doing any work and how he was going to be paid. This was all prearranged with the office upon scheduling the appointment. He was also conveniently asking $50 over what had been arranged. The tech determined the freon was low and took about 2lbs. of freon at $100 lb. He failed to mention any leak, convenient right?

Rip-off price! Be very careful and don't sign any contract! They came for a free home estimate appointment through Costco. The gave us an estimate and said if we make the decision the same day they would give us 5% off. I trust Costco and think the price shouldn't be too bad so signed the contract with them. Then I forgot to cancel other vendor schdule estimate so the other vendor came and gave us another estimate.
The other vendor's estimate is 5K less than A Plus! 5K! how could it be! Then I did some search on the internet. A Plus price is really unreasonable. I tried to cancel my contract but it has been 3 days of contract cancellation period. They are not welling to cancel the contract even I told them other vendor is 5K less.
