We had an issue with the water temperature getting too hot and was unable to lower the temperature regardless of the adjustments made on the hot water heater. My complaint has nothing to do with the diagnostic of the issue but the level of customer service. The tech was rude and loud and have trouble understanding the problem. He was disrespectful.

I contacted the company and spoke to the service manager and he was actually more disappointing and dismissive. He was focused on the diagnostic and I was explaining that my issue was with the level of customer service received.so if professional and polite staff is what you are expecting there is a possibility that you will not receive it here from techs or service manager.

Bill came out early in the day and did a fantastic job. He explained everything clearly and was very professional. We will use CB Lucas again, hopefully not too soon.

Just recently our AC unit stopped blowing cold air and it was a hot summer day. I contacted CB Lucas and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. The master technician, Bill, came and resolved in 30 minutes. He determined that the outside unit had 2 wires chewed by a rodent. He fixed the wires, and the house started the cool down from 81* degrees.

I have used CB Lucas for years and definitely will continue to. Their plumbers are also exceptional. Greg has completed numerous plumbing fixes and is always on point. All these staff members have been very professional and know exactly what they are doing. Thank you!

Bill identified three issues with our HVAC and was quick to fix them almost immediately. He was honest about what was and was not needed and was more than willing to answer any questions we had. The price was more than fair and Bill made sure that we were taken care of.

We have been using C.B. Lucas for years for our rental unit, and now that we are full time residents we had them come out and put a service contract on our new house. For starters the prices far better than the competitors, and the day my air conditioning went out they sent Bill over to check it out. Within minutes he knew that it was a capacitor.

When trying to unpack and do minor remodel projects it helps to have working A/C. The service has always been fast, clean, and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any HVAC or Plumbing jobs you may have.

I love the fact that it's a family owned business. I have been a customer for years and they have never disappointed. I just had my three A/C units serviced today for the upcoming summer season with one of my favorite techs (Bill). He thoroughly checked all three systems and one in particular for a possible leak he suspected a couple of months ago. Turned out to be a false alarm and all three units checked out thoroughly. Bill is an exceptionally knowledgeable tech. I won't call any other company for my HVAC and plumbing needs.

We have a condo and have had issues with the AC for about three years and by end of last summer had serious leakage, rusting in coil, etc. So, a couple of months ago, knowing it needed replacing before the hotter weather kicked in, we decided to get a new one. We had three companies quote us - two recommended by friends and then C. B. Lucas, recommended by Trane (we decided we wanted a Trane based on Consumer Reports data).

By far, they were the most professional and thorough in evaluating the system, they did not recommend replacing the furnace yet, too, as it probably has a few years of life left. The replacement was smooth, professional, clean and we had a great value for the cost (they also beat the quotes of the other two companies who did NOT carry Trane but were quoting lesser quality brands).

I have been dealing with CB Lucas for many years. I have always been happy with their work. Today Bill replaced my TXB for the heat pump. Losing one of your heaters during a freezing spell was horrible, but finding CB Lucas was awesome. Our technician Bill was just great. The service I received was terrible. Starting with the receptionist that gave me wrong information. The technician trying to enter my home without a mask. The technician not using foot covering. The manager Wayne Was rude. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

We used a builder who used CB Lucas. The HVAC system was built completely inadequate for the finished space in the house. Aside from providing only 1 vent to condition over 1,200 Square feet of finished space (including exercise space), the units provided never worked properly. The AC leaked (photos) and damaged the ceilings. The heating does not work still and Michael Lucas wrote he will not honor the warranty. If zero stars were allowed, that is what I would put. Find a reputable company and save yourself a lot of time, money and aggravation.

Inviting a repair person into your home during these COVID times is nothing short of scary. With our AC unit completely out and heat advisories sweeping through the area, we had no choice. CB Lucas was able to get us in right away and let me know when our repairman, Eric, was headed our way. Eric was friendly, professional, quick to fix the problem, and most importantly very safe!

He wore a mask, gloves, and kept his distance. Even without a pandemic I don't like 'strangers' in my home; Eric made me feel very comfortable and now I'm giddily blasting the AC! I highly recommend this company!

A month ago, we noticed our 16-year old system was continuing to run, and we were not cooling off. Time to call CB Lucas. As it turned out, our compressor was out, and with the cost of replacing compressor for an old system was not the best decision. We purchased a new Trane system, and it was installed on the 22nd of June. The crew arrived right on time, and were completed in about four hours. We were impressed with their efficiency, with their care of the yard, and their customer attention. As long as we remain in the area, CB Lucas will be our first choice.

My indoor coil failed. My home warranty providers technician said it was a TXV valve. It didn't sound quite right, so I went to CB Lucas, and Eric came out and diagnosed it as an indoor coil failure. I decided to go forward with the repair on a Friday, and they had the parts on Tuesday. Eric is a great technician and is worth his weight in gold when it comes to HVAC repairs. Give Big Eric a raise! He deserves it for all the time he has spent with my HVAC System!

Today we had a water heater installed and our fall HVAC check-up done. Received a call from a very pleasant lady at 7:50am saying the technician was on his way. At 8am he was at the front door with everyone he needed to start work. He did not seem to mind me watching what he was doing and explained everything. When he finished he started draining the water heater so the next crew could get right to work.

At about 8:30am the two technicians for the water heater arrived and started immediately. Same deal; they did not mind me watching and asking questions, did a fantastic job, cleaned up everything and we're done by 10:45am. Great service. I strongly recommend them and intend to use their services for all my HVAC and plumbing needs.

They are my go-to for Heating, A/C and plumbing. I have had a furnace replaced, A/C unit install and a leak in my basement ceiling that were all fixed quickly and cheaper than others in the area. I switch to CB Lucas after getting outrageous quotes from one of their competitors who I use to have come out twice a year. Once I finally needed work that company gave me outrageous prices and told me to be wary of others who did it for less. C.B. Lucas has always gone above and beyond.

Came out to diagnose an AC issue we had. CB Lucas along with another technician came out to our service call. Showed up prompt and provided great service. There was an issue of diagnosing the unit versus the furnace. They told me to call when it was frozen up so they could see the situation and evaluate it further. Called as soon as it was frozen per their directions and was told no one would come out and to thaw the unit. Right back where we started.

Charles came and installed my Air Scrubber to my HVAC system. Glad to have a knowledgeable worker in the trades to assist our family. He was courteous, patient and professional. He double checked my system before he left. Thanks guys!

C B Lucas are amazing! I called because my AC stop blowing air! Not only did we get a heat advisory this weekend i knew they would be extremely booked and will probably have to wait till next week to get it fix NOPE! They were able to fit me in the morning of the day i called! ERIC is amazing he has come to my house before to fix my heat! So i was sooo happy when he came to fix the AC!

Lucas tech came to repair HVAC unit April 2017. Tech diagnosed leaking coil and was excellent. He added Freon, got unit functional, and informed me the coil would need replacing. I provided tech with manufacturer's parts warranty info and he provided price to do repair. Price was steep, but I was told it was complicated repair and system would need to be drained to make repair.

I followed up with Lucas multiple times and was told, "Part was on back-order". Finally, in October (eight months later) when I called them I was told my unit was "never registered for product warranty" but they could get me an alternate coil somewhere else. This was a bold face lie. I called the manufacturer's distributor and manufacturer to verify both my warranty and part availability. Yes, I had a 10-year parts warranty. Yes, the part was once again on backorder and would be back in stock middle of November.

I asked if it was typically for a part to be out of stock for eight months. The distributor opted "not to comment". However, if Lucas had an alternate coil option for me why did it take them eight months to suggest this? I have worked with Lucas in the past and found them to be ethical, so the only explanation for of this behavior is 1) something has changed there; or 2) they simply did not want to perform this repair.

If they didn't want to complete this job they should have had curtesy of telling me this instead of stringing me along for eight months, leaving me to chase them down and then bold face lying to me like some crazy ex-girlfriend. Maybe I simply was the "perfect storm" customer, but they never made any effort to make it right either. I would NOT recommend them to others.

They have done a couple of plumbing jobs at my house and for several years I have had an annual contract for HVAC inspection with them. What I paid for plumbing has been reasonable and the HVAC inspection has been good. For both plumbing and HVAC, the guys who came were knowledgeable, talked with me about the issues, and gave useful information. Scheduling appointments with a phone call is easy.

Billy, their supervisor, was out at our house for a construction project. Our AC had started spitting hot air (with it being 80 degrees) the night before. He jumped right in, diagnosed a valve, and solved the problem, even though that wasn't at all what he was her for. Great service, and we'll be using them in the future.

We needed a replacement HVAC system for our town home. Mike came out and did a thorough inspection before preparing an estimate, and did not try to sell the world to us. He gave several options and explained each one very well. We got 4 quotes from different companies, and not only was CB Lucas the most thorough, but also the best price. Two days later two guys from CB Lucas were installing the new system and did a fantastic job. It was obvious they were very experienced and detailed. They sat down with us in the end and went over the entire system. I highly recommend this company.

I utilized them via Lowe's HVAC service. They gave me one of the four quotes I got. CB Lucas was the most professional and thorough of the four. They gave me options based upon what I needed and wanted. They also gave me the best value. After doing a ton of research on the companies and the producrts, we made the decision to go with CB Lucas and Lowe's.

The turnaround from decision to installation was about 5 days. The 2 guys that came to do the install were polite, professional and answered all of my questions. They walked me through the system and any routine maintenance we would have to do. We walked through a 36 point inspection checklist and that was it. Both installers had been with CB Lucas for 10 years plus. That's the sign of a good company to me and my experience validated that.

Our heat pump died in early May and I had to research how to get a replacement before the hot weather started. It was hard to understand the different models but I wanted something that had a reputation for reliability and a reasonable price. I ended up getting bids on a Goodman 14 SEER heat pump and air handler (if you haven't replaced your heat pump in the last few years, you will probably have to replace both the heat pump and air handler -- that's what I found out anyway).

I also got a bid on a Lennox 14HPX heat pump and air handler. The final bid I got was on a Trane 4TWR heat pump and air handler. Prices from the heating and plumbing companies were the following -- each system was proposed by a different company: Goodman - $6,660 Lennox - $6,500 Trane - $5,654 In researching the different systems online, the Trane seemed to be the best and it also had the lowest bid.

I went with the Trane from C.B. Lucas A.C., Heating and Plumbing in Dumfries, VA -- 703 590-3700. The sales person was Troy. He, like all the other representatives, gave me a good technical overview of what was needed and what they could provide. Troy went a bit further and showed me the companies price list for the different systems. He said to always ask to see the price list. C.B.Lucas company did a great job installing the system, they cleaned up the work area and did everything efficiently.

I hardly knew they were there. The system has been working great. The Trane is larger than the old on, it much quieter and it cools better. It is also, according to the technicians, much more efficient. I am very happy with the work they did and I highly recommend them. Be aware that you have to register the new system online within, I think, 90 days in order to get the 10 year warranty on the basic heat pump and air handler.

These guys are so amazing. Was told by another company that I needed new furnaces. I called CB Lucas who did a thorough job of checking my systems and no new system was needed at all. They saved me over $8,000 with their honesty. The other company was trying to rip me off, and CB Lucas saved the day! I won't use anyone else ever again!
