Universal Supply Group In the summer of 1940, Heinz Hildebrandt and William Voorhis founded Universal Engineering Co., with the idea that their new business would manufacture oil burners. However, due to shortages created by World War II, the pair found themselves repairing and fabricating burners rather than manufacturing them. For five years their business developed, becoming a trusted supply and repair facility, and in 1945, Hildebrant and Voorhis built their first Universal shop at 344 Wagaraw Road in Hawthorne, New Jersey-only feet away from where the Hawthorne branch stands today.

What terrible treatment! There was a terrible human being working here which said he was the owner, Stephen Bronksi ( I looked the guy up, he is NOT the owner). Well, this Stephen Bronki said "I am the owner and we don't need your kind here", your kind, what the heck does he mean? RUN, this place is horrible! This guy Stephen is one ANGRY guy!

The worst possible service you can image. I turned in a Goodman compressor for a warranty reimbursement back in May. They never call back and never give me clear answer. The person who I worked with was Nashon Jones. I'm still waiting for a $349.86 warranty payment, 3 months later. My next step is to file a complaint with NJ Better Business Bureau for fraud.

The absolute worst supply house in history. Guy at the counter with glasses and salt and pepper goatee is a prick. Very pushy and terrible customer service. I wouldn't go here again if they gave me my supplies
