RH Young Cooling & Heating

I wish I didn't have to be this guy dropping this review, but with what I just experienced, I have to let everyone know.

Paul had helped fix our furnace in the past, this year, it was cold and I gave them a call. Call went to voicemail, tldr, a lady called back and was just rude, saying Paul couldn't understand what I was talking about in my voicenote. This is when I should have realized it was going to be a disaster, she asked for my information and said they couldn't find my account.

Cut to the point, she tried booking an appointment but didn't have any immediate available times, and said they charge $159 just to diagnose and book the appointment, I tried being reasonable/negotiable and said the price was a little too steep for me (esp seeing how they didn't have any available times immediately and that I had to wait for 2 days).

The minute I said "steep", the lady got mad and hung up the call, here's the kicker - she accidentally didn't drop the call fully and I overheard her saying I'm so annoying and complaining about steep fees and I should go somewhere else, and the most shocking part was when she said "they" are now becoming the minority (talking to someone in the background). Wow just wow. I'll let you make out your interpretation of that. If you are going to speak about people like this behind their backs, at least be competent enough to hang up the call

I'm trying to make light of the situation - While she basked in her rudeness, I kept the line open and got to hear some terrible humming to Michael Jackson - The way you make me feel.

Ultimately, I never expected that statement from you guys. I can confirm you've lost my business, thanks for not having availability because if I knew that's the kind of people you are, I wouldn't want you in my house anyway. Great job!!

They have been trustworthy honest. Very appreciative of the work and have called me back asap after hours. Would highly recommend.

Paul was excellent, very well spoken and explained everything to me. I recently purchased a condo and they were very thorough with examining my heating system and giving me feedback. I purchased a maintenance contract and look forward to hearing back from him about a part I need. Also, the woman that answers the phones is very helpful and personable. So far, I am very pleased that I chose this company.

So far have only needed them for yearly maintenance. A different technician each year but every one of them has been friendly and informative, explaining what work was done that day. My furnace is reaching its end of life and these are the people I will call to replace it.

Paul was excellent. I didn’t think he would take the service call as it was close to closing time, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. We had no AC and it was in the middle of a heat wave. He made a repair that was needed, but unfortunately it didn’t resolve the problem. Paul was so thorough and was able to troubleshoot the problem to an electrical issue. He spent extra time checking all other options and we could tell he really wanted to fix the problem for us. We greatly appreciate Paul and his attention to detail. He explained everything and only did what was necessary. He didn’t overcharge for services, which happens when you’re at the mercy of contractors. I would highly recommend R.H. Young. Carolyn( the office worker who took my call) was also very courteous and kind and assured me Paul was really good. She was right. Great company and service.

Friendly, thorough, on time and very easy to deal with. I received a text 1/2 hr to an hour before they showed up to let me know they were on their way. Repair was professional and thorough. Good technicians and reliable companies are hard to find. Paul is a Excellent and trustworthy mechanic. I'm confident in going forward with R.H Young for any work needed in the future.

Paul was great at a time that we were stressed to get the job completed (but well) during a time crunch as we had a family emergency to attend to which required a long drive. He worked hard non stop, did the job well, cleaned up afterwards and let us get on our way in the least amount of time possible for such a large job. He did both a repair, and installation of an exterior air filter with ducting. Can't thank him enough for his professionalism, and probably sacrificing breaks in there to get us on our way. The new filter is amazing and does an incredible job, as well!

Paul showed up exactly on time at 8 o'clock on the dot. He was thorough professional and pleasant. Came in with mask and booties to keep the floor clean. He tried to diagnose a very difficult source of the leak from the ceiling AC unit.
