Ray's Heating & Air Conditioning

Ray's is a top-notch HVAC business. I have used them for over 15 years and have had nothing but excellent service and repair from everyone who works for Ray's. Everyone there are total professionals, from the President William Harty, who came out to my home and professionally offered me options for my A/C replacement project, to the administrative staff, to the expert technicians who came to my home last week, who showed me and my home total respect, and installed a new A/C system in my home, which works perfectly! I highly recommend Ray's to anyone who wants top quality products, service and installation. Five stars out of five, for sure!

I am very pleased with the service from the Original Ray's. I have used their service for all of my heating and air conditioning needs for many years and they are always on time, pleasant and respectful of my home when they come. I have been using their annual service contract on my units over the years and am totally satisfied with their service.

We have had Ray's do a seasonal service on our furnace and a/c for many years. Their service people have always been on time, courteous, and professional. Telephone dealings have always been very courteous and friendly.

Do not use this company! We have been loyal customers for years and were recently thrown under the bus by Ray's. We have a 4 yr. old wall furnace in our family room addition. 3/27 we noticed that the furnace was running and not turning off. My husband shut off the electricity to the furnace and we called Ray's on Mon. 3/28. A tech came out and told us that the furnace seemed to be fine and charged us $78.

On 3/31 we noticed again that the furnace was not shutting down and my husband turned off the electricity to the unit. The same tech came out on 4/1 and decided that the problem was the thermostat. He put in a new one and charged us $100. The bill was not broken down but upon searching the internet, thermostats such as the one installed run approx. $40.

We called the owner today because we felt that if part of the $100 fee was a service call, this was not fair. He dismissed us by saying that we got a good deal. 1) the tech failed to troubleshoot the problem on 3/28 2) the bill was not itemized so we aren't sure of the breakdown on 4/1 3) if we were charged for 2 service calls for the same problem in 4 days, this was entirely unfair We will be looking for a new HVAC Company!

My father has used Ray's HVAC for many years. Recently, I arranged for Ray's to service our furnace and air conditioning unit. The service man was on time, well mannered and thorough in his work. We used Ray's for furnace installation. They gave us the best combination of service value and quality of product offered. We met with 2 other contractors, but no one could come close to their offer. Ray's is the only authorized Carrier dealer in our area and this also influenced our decision. Their technicians were polite, professional, and efficient.

The installation was completed in a timely manner with no inconvenience to us. We are signing up for their platinum service agreement and plan to use them for all of our future HVAC needs.

My furnace started emitting a smell on Saturday. Ray's sent a technician out, Adam who was wonderful, and diagnosed the problem as safe and fixable. One of the owners called and explained what was needed and the cost. Parts were ordered and another wonderful tech, Zoran, came out and first verified to make sure everything was needed and fixed me right up. I will definitely use Ray's HVAC the original, for my heating and air needs and maintenance. Highly recommend!

Had Ray's in their ORIGINAL estimate told me that I would need a plumber to complete the installation of the humidifier on my furnace/humidifier/water heater replacement, I would have selected a different company to do the entire job. A big disappointment after a big investment. The company is well respected in this area. I'm new to the area. I went with the neighbors recommendations. All the installers & techs I have dealt with were courteous. The company phone doesn't always work making it difficult to contact them at times.

My family has been highly satisfied with Ray's for the cleaning and repair of our furnace and a/c, since we moved into our house in 1993. When the 34-year-old furnace Ray's installed in 1987 finally gave up the ghost last week, we had a quote and new furnace installed very quickly. Service: Heating system installation

I have used them for many years and have a contract each year to do both ac and furnace servicing. Yesterday they replaced a motor and I was given a discount since I am on this plan. Pedro was very good and went to Glendale Heights to get the part and returned later the same day to replace the part. Services: Heating system repair, Heating system maintenance

Fred and Paul from Ray's did an excellent job installing a new cold air return in our basement, installing a new UV light and also moved our Humidifier to a better location on the furnace. They were prompt, professional and fast. Everything was done up to my expectations, and I'm a perfectionist. Also, Paul Hart was excellent coming out to give us our proposal and very precise in making sure what would be required to accomplish everything we wanted done. Ray's installed a new furnace and air conditioner 3 years ago and it's worked very well. I highly recommend Ray's for new equipment and their service.

I can't say enough about Ray's. John is as honest and nice as they come. When he told us we needed new AC, I asked him to send me a quote. Within a few hours, he sent it to us for a price I considered quite reasonable. Dale also did her level best by scheduling us for installation the day after I called her - even though she initially said I may have to wait another four days.

Finally Paul and Fred came early, finished installation within two hours and were also as pleasant as could be. Now - everything in our house is COOL which is so welcome after four sweltering days of heat. They will always get our business.

My mother used this company 40 years ago. I have had a rental property in Schaumburg for the last 25 years. They have been my HVAC provider for all these years! They are honest, provide great customer service and although the founder has passed, still family owned. They truly are that business which is harder and harder to find. You won't be disappointed!

Outstanding! Very nice and responsive workers. We've had AC and thermostat replaced, along with general maintenance. Cannot recommend them enough.

I received a quick and courteous response on a Saturday morning when I called about my dead furnace. The customer service person on the phone was nice and efficient. The owners son was out at my house within an hour and provided a reasonable quote!
They new we were completely without heat during a winter storm watch and they scheduled me right away for Monday installation.
When they arrived for the install at 11am Monday unfortunately their truck got stuck in the snow in front of my house. My husband and son worked with the 2 gentleman to try and get it out successfully.
They then proceeded to work quickly to start the install. So far I am very pleased with Ray’s.

This is the 2nd time that I called Ray's. First for first a furnace and now a AC problem. Perhaps one of the most ethical businesses I have ever worked with. In this case it was a $15 part rather than a big expense. I had someone else quote the repair and it was $450. I can't say enough about this company and would call them without concern.

We put out for bid our A/C system 9 years ago and they came in at a great price with best service and Warranty. Moved our service contract to them soon after and have been 100% satisfied with everything they've done. Needed a new furnace now and it was installed today. Guys were clean, on time and explained how everything worked. No reason to use anyone else. Great job all around.

We've had ORIGINAL Ray's servicing our heating and AC for several years. When it came time to have our furnace and AC replaced, I asked them for an estimate. Owner William came out personally and gave us options for our specific home. We decided on one, and within a week were scheduled for an appointment to install. We could not have been more pleased with the installers ( Fred and Paul), who were ON TIME, totally professional, covered our floors with tarps, answered our questions, and cleaned up afterward better than we expected. We will continue to have ORIGINAL Ray's maintain our system, and for none other that 'pure integrity' would recommend them in our community.

Poor customer service. Had a service call. Quickly thereafter had a leak. Left a message on the emergency line on Saturday and on Sunday. No apology when I was called on Monday. I asked to talk to the owner and more than 30 hours later have not been able to talk to him

24 years later we just had our furnace and A/C condenser replaced by, you guessed it, Ray's! They diagnosed that there was a major leak of Freon and since everything was well beyond life expectancy, we decided to replace everything. John came out and made the determination, he had a new furnace and A/C priced out quickly (and within budget) and the next day both were installed and running perfectly. This major purchase couldn't have gone better and smoother. I am and still will be totally satisfied with Ray's and their quality product and service.

What a dishonest and misleading company. The salesman named John had to write two estimates because the office could not understood how he reached the prices he quoted us. Even after the second estimate was hand delivered it too was incorrect. The salesman forgot to charge me for the add ons even though he stood face to face with me and told me the total price listed included everything.

When I complain and asked to speak to the owner I was told he's busy today and can't talk to me. Seriously-- I recommend that you don't waste your time with this company, unless you like to be fooled. Also be careful when searching them on the internet. it appears they list several different addresses on different streets in the Schaumburg area with different contact numbers. I image thats done on purpose to further deceive us.

I had 2 other companies come out and give me estimates. I was prepared to just pick one of them, then a work friend told me to call Ray's first. I was impressed form the start. Very professional, quality work and furnace/AC, personable installer who answered all my questions.and most importantly, the lowest of 3 quotes that I received by several hundred dollars. Very happy with my purchase and the customer service I have received. Have recommended them to my father too.who was also very pleased with the work they did for him.

Rewind 9 years, when I had just bought this house and the heater fails in the middle of the coldest day in the winter. I am a highly technical engineer from the country, where we are used to doing our own work (DIY). I noticed the Carrier igniter was not glowing and I needed the part. Ray's HVAC was close and willing to part with an igniter to a non-contractor.

Nine years ago my interaction was pleasant enough that Ray's HVAC was the first name that came to mind when I had another furnace issue today (coldest day in the year again lol). Patiently, they sold me another igniter (even though that wasn't the problem) and John was very warm and welcoming when I finally diagnosed the issue to be a flame roll out switch stuck open. An insightful piece of advice got the furnace up, a part on order and I am left with yet another pleasant interaction with Ray's. Thank you. I look forward to doing more business with your fine company. P.S. they have really cute dogs in the office.

Is 0 a rating? This place is unreliable when making appointments, unprepared for service calls and inadequate to do repairs. Nothing was accomplished during the initial service call. Then they show up without notice or an appointment and are upset because I'm at work instead of being home just expecting them to casually drop by. Then an appointment is made for after 2 pm today and it's been 5 1/2 hrs and have had no word since the last call 3 hrs again saying they were on their way. I don't know, but I'm calling bullshit! I'll not use them and hope you don't either. This is just wrong and bad business!

I first started working with Ray's HVAC as a volunteer for my church - helping to provide access to, and information regarding, the building for any HVAC work. I have since taken on a more active volunteer role overseeing the property itself during this past year. During this time I have had to request quick repairs and HVAC replacements (one indoor and two Rooftop Units [RTU's]).

I met the owner William for the indoor installation and worked with Paul for the rooftop installations, and they were both very helpful and got the installations scheduled as quickly as possible - important because our church operates a day care ministry during the weekdays. Based on my conversation with others, including the Plant Manager at my full time job, Ray's HVAC prices are also very competitive or better. Furthermore, their installation crews show up as scheduled and get the work done in a day.

They are also very informative when I have questions. I wish I knew about them when my home HVAC needed replacement! Nevertheless, I would imagine their residential work is just as good, if not better, than their commercial work. I would highly recommend this company for your HVAC needs.

My Carrier furnace broke down after 10 yrs of faithful service. With the freezing 15F winter, I knew I got to have this fix really quick as I hang-on with my fireplace to keep us warm. I went out to call Ray's HVAC which specializes on Carrier brand and they are pretty quick to drop by. I am fully satisfied with the service as they come with reserve parts in their van - so, no need for me to wait for a parts order.

Thanks to Brian, the tech guy, he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in a short time. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to service their HVAC. Two thumbs up from me!

Very happy with the service I receive from Ray's - both for installation of a new system and ongoing maintenance services. The price quotes I receive are always competitive or better than other places I check but most importantly the techs are outstanding and very knowledgeable about the technology, even my old home with radiator heat and a Spacepak A/C system.

They explain everything they'll be doing, answer all my questions and offer honest recommendations about what works best, not necessarily what will cost the most. Their dedication to doing the job right, responsiveness and willingness to come out even after-hours is surprising and will keep me coming back for future services.
