Jim, Sr. has been a sheet metal worker for three decades and in business for himself since 1993. I've been a loyal customer with Comfort Air for many years, relying on them to service and maintain my downstairs air conditioner. This trust, however, has been severely undermined due to their recent handling of a longstanding issue with my unit.
Over the years, every time we experienced an issue with our AC unit, Comfort Air's solution was to simply top up the refrigerant. This would temporarily alleviate the problem, but the same issue would resurface after some time. It seemed like a band-aid fix rather than a long-term solution.
The real problem emerged when my compressor failed. When approached, Comfort Air refused to take responsibility for their inadequate servicing over the years which arguably contributed to this failure. Their consistent failure to locate and address the refrigerant leak despite multiple service calls, speaks volumes about their competence and commitment to effective service.
Even more frustrating was the customer service we received. We requested our service records, with the intention to seek a second opinion on our unit. Astonishingly, Comfort Air refused to provide us with these documents, which are rightfully ours.
What's worse, after expressing our dissatisfaction with their service, instead of attempting to rectify the situation, they informed us that they would no longer conduct business with us due to the 'grief' we had caused them. It was a shocking response from a company we had loyally trusted for years.
In conclusion, our experience with Comfort Air has been a disappointment. They not only failed to provide quality service, but they also showed a lack of professionalism and responsibility in dealing with customer complaints. I regretfully cannot recommend their services and urge potential customers to seek a more reliable and respectful HVAC company for their needs.
