My experience with MKA was a very good experience. They installed our mini split unit in about 3 hours and they were very knowledgeable about the product. Our unit works great and is so quiet that you have to check it to see if it's actually running. The cost of the unit and installation was surprisingly low. I would highly recommend MKA for HVAC needs.

MKA Mechanical is the BEST BUSINESS around. I moved to Hartsville, SC 11 yrs ago & have used them since. They are professional, knowledgeable, efficient, very kind, caring & a wonderful company. I've had several different techs come & each of them are awesome. As a women I feel safe & secure with them in my home & know they'll do a great job, at a fair price.

I highly recommend MKA. I had several quotes from other companies and they had the lowest quote. Plus they did more work than what was in another quote. I am very satisfied with the hard work the crew put in. I've never had a crew clean up as much as they did, behind themselves. They got the job done quicker than expected. I will definitely be telling others about them!

The work was done well and in a timely manner. The low rating is because of price. The thermostat needed to be replaced in a house that was due sell with the closing in a few days, so I didn't have time to get a price from any other company for comparison. The repair was arranged by my realtor since I live out of town. I watched a U-tube video showing replacement of the exact Honeywell thermostat that I was having replaced and saw that this is a simple procedure.
The wiring from the old thermostat was used to hook-up the new thermostat. I was shocked when I received a bill for $325.00 for such a simple job. The base service call fee was $120. There was a separate $50 fee for re-wiring, and the a $150 installation fee ( which included the cost of an approximately $30-$50 thermostat). Why re-wiring was necessary is unclear.
I was unsuccessful in reaching the appropriate person to discuss, challenge these charges with. I normally get more than one price before having work done. Living out of town and the timing of the house sale closing prevented that this time. I would advise getting a price quote from more than one company, and getting the price in advance, if contemplating having work done by MKA.

The job included installation of two separate units and posed some unique challenges. Still the team addressed the issues in a professional manner completing the job in one day. I am very satisfied with the product they installed in my home and with MKA. I am pleased with their willingness to address all of my concerns and requirements.
