Our furnace went out on a Sunday evening. Len's had come out earlier in the fall to clean the system, so I thought I'd give them a call to come out and fix the furnace. I called on Monday morning at 8 am and they were able to send someone over the same day. We have a weird older furnace and the parts are difficult to come by. I was able to send a video of what our furnace was doing via text message to Len's.
This allowed them to have an idea of what was wrong ahead of time. While the technician (Eric.super nice) checked out the furnace the office called all over NE Ohio looking for the part we needed. They were able to get the part at a fair price and install on the same day in a matter of a few hours. I couldn't be happier with their service. They are fair and honest, and I would recommend them to anyone. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for Len's they are first class when it comes to service you can count on. JB

Eric did a great job. He was courteous and professional and respected our home. He arrived promptly following his call giving us an arrival time. Once he arrived he trouble shooted the problem as apposed to replacing parts. He then accurately diagnosed and repaired damaged wiring in one of the AC units which immediately solved the problem. His approach of diagnose and not just trial of replacement parts was technically sound and very efficient.
We appreciate his expertise in finding and fixing the problem in a prompt manner. One of the best service techs we've ever had. Will definitely request Eric again should the need arise.

In May of last year I had Len's install a new AC and a new furnace to the tune of about $7,000. I had a slight issue with the installers at the time, and Len himself called me and apologized. To apologize, Len told me to run the systems through the summer and through the winter. I was to call this spring and they would come out and do a one year check up on both systems for free.
I was happy with this resolution and accepted his offer. So I called in early May to set up an appointment. And I called again in mid May to set it up. And I called again in early June. I have called a total of 3 times to set up the appointment, and each time I call, I am promised that they will call me back with an appointment date. I have called a total of three times to set up this appointment, each time I am promised a call back, and each time I have been blown off.
Here we are mid June and they have still not called me back with an appointment date. I guess because this appointment was offered for free from Len as an apology for the install issues it's not important to them. They got their $7,000 and that's what is important to them. They will probably respond to this review and say they are extremely busy because of the unseasonable heat we have had.
I get that, to a point. But I also reiterated to them I didn't care when the appointment was, I just wanted to get on the schedule. But again, because this is a free service call I get completely ignored.

Such a great experience with a wonderful company! Our AC went out over 4th of July weekend and they were able to help us right away. Super responsive and they made us feel like we were a top priority. When they came for the installation, not only were they on time, but they were early, which is one of the best qualities a company can have. Doug was great at walking us through our options.
Rich and Andrew were so professional and diligent. Kim was an absolute joy, and she made sure my husband and I were completely satisfied I would 100% recommend Len's to everyone, and I will be a customer for life (although I hope I don't need another furnace any time soon )

I had Len's install a new Heat Pump and Air Handler. They were by far the best equipment for the price and the only quote I received where I did not feel like I was being oversold. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and in person was extremely professional and helpful. Services: Install heating system, Install thermostat, Install AC

This company was professional and very responsive to my needs for a new furnace, air conditioning and a new water heater. Their men were prompt and on time. The install went smoothly and they were very informative as to the product and how it works. They cleaned up at the end and left the work area spotless. I would highly recommend this company. They are honest and give you a great product for a good price. These days it is hard to find a company with such high integrity.

I read the reviews and even had a personal recommendation from a golfing buddy for Len's Heating. I needed a new boiler for my home. The original boiler was installed with the building of the house in 1966 by the original owners. In November of 2018 the boiler had been making banging sounds for awhile. so after 52 years it was time for replacement. Len actually came out evaluated the situation and gave a fair estimate and we made the deal. Installation went as well as I could tell ( I'm only a casual observer not in the trades) I had heat and was generally happy with it all initially.
The problem I had immediately after installation and continue to have now thru Feb 2020 is gurgling and bubbling sounds coming from the radiators. particularly the kitchen radiator. To Len's credit he has been out to drain the problem zones a number of times without additional charges. Len however insists that the original piping was not configured correctly and therefore air remains in the piping causing the noise.
At Least one zone (kitchen/ dining / living room zone) does have a T connection from the kitchen radiator loop to the dining/living room radiators loop. I just do not understand why I never had that gurgling and bubbling problem in the 30years I've lived in the house! I have researched this and I have also bled the zones and have seen the bubbles come out but the problem continues.
Additional research revealed what I consider a flaw in installation. Len and his installers did not configure an air vent / separator or air purger to my system. All researched systems have one. They insists I do not need one! But even the literature they left me for the expansion tank (installed) indicates an air vent / separator or air purger in its diagram.
My understanding is that once installed it continues to remove the air bubbles from the system as the hot water circulates. Len instead recommends I get a plumber to install bleeders on my radiators. He wants nothing more to do with my heating system. I will have to get another installer/plumber to correct the incomplete installation. I would be very careful before I would call Len's Heating for work on a boiler hot water heating system. He said he had 30 years of experience with hot water heating systems but has never seen a piping configuration like mine. I Do Not recommend them!

We have been a customer of Len's for 22 years. We recently have converted to a gas hot water tank in January and gas furnace and air conditioning unit in May. Rich and Andy completed the work on both visits and were great! Very professional and polite. Installation was as described, they were on time and very respectful of our house and you wouldn't even know they were there.
They communicated to us during both installs keeping us informed of what they were doing. The professionalism and expertise of Len's staff all starts with Len himself. He has been to our home a number of times to quote business and has always been upfront and honest and will tell you what you need and what you don't need. I would highly recommend Len's to anyone in need of any HVAC work be it new or service.

I really don't know if they do a good job at installation. I do know they charged my 88 year old father $90.00 to show him how to change his thermostat from celsius to farenheit. My dad was confused because it said 25 "degrees" The fella came in pressed a button and charged a $90 house call. that's just plain old nonsense and NOT good customer service.
On the hand Lens got 90 bucks for 2 minutes worth of service. He did offer $20 off their next furnace cleaning. I have a feeling we'll be searching else where for a furnace cleaning

They had promised that my cooling bill would be lower with a new a/c unit installation. Instead it is now much higher on average than it was. In addition, I was without a/c almost all last summer while they worked out the kinks through may June and part of July. Len said he will stand behind it for part of this year. Little consolations for big losses, I guess. Still not happy with the increase in the power usage. I would have had the old heat pump fixed if I had known that a 14 yr newer a/c was so much less efficient.

I had several companies come out while I was searching for a new HVAC system. Out of all the companies that came out Len's was by far the best. Everyone I spoke with while getting information and everyone that did the installation was extremely nice and professional. Every time I called about a question or to get additional details I received an answer that same day.
The installation crew was very prompt and finished the install much faster than I expected. They walked me through everything they were doing and pointed out why they were doing it. I am very picky about how clean and buttoned up things are and they did a fantastic job. Everything looks very clean and very professionally done. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work.

There is *nothing* worse than your furnace going out when it's fifteen degrees outside. And even worse, realizing it was out on a Friday afternoon when the temperature outside is less than 15 degrees, a winter storm is bearing down on you and your house is steadily dropping in temperature (it made it down to 48 degrees inside the house). We called Len's who is our regular furnace/AC company and despite terrible road conditions, apparent problems with other customers, and a very long day, Mike made it to our house (but not up our driveway) around 9 pm.
The prognosis was not good but here's what I appreciated: 1) He was very straightforward about what he knew and didn't know 2) He was very straightforward about time frames and options 3) He was very patient and thorough 4) His office gave him the option of going home, and he was the only technician still out doing calls because of the weather.
He chose to keep working because people didn't have heat. Now, the cost was high. The house call was $225 dollars due to being after hours. He had a part that would potentially fix it but that was going to be another $700. We chose to think about that versus a new furnace and call in the morning. After a cold night and early morning, running space heaters all over the house, we decided to get the part in and take more time to consider the replacement at a time when the furnace wouldn't be an absolute necessity.
He came back Saturday in the afternoon and replaced the electronics, and we have heat. Total cost was right around $1000. Len's has always been our furnace and a/c company. They have been honest and ethical throughout our dealings with them. It sounds expensive (it was) but if there is anything we learned from this experience, it is what we take for granted.
And we have a new appreciation for our pioneer forebears, too. Some reviewers seem to think that there is a bias toward replacement of the whole furnace. We did not experience that - we felt no pressure to buy a new furnace, although the repair was about 1/3 what a new furnace would have cost. We had a great experience with Len's and they will continue to be our go-to furnace and A/C guys.

I gave 2 stars because they fixed my furnace. But that came with a cost. A big cost. I have a baby & a young boy and had no heat for two days. No time to shop around and they knew that. When I called after the fact to discuss my discomfort with the charges, the manager was very kind, but with not much to say beside 'nothing on the order seemed unreasonable.' In my opinion and after discussing with two other companies, I was most definitely played for a fool with a credit card. Good luck to anyone using this company- hopefully your credit limit is pretty high.

Shouldn't even give one star to this company. This company came into our home to repair our AC unit that was running but made a noise. They said was transformer was bad but recommended we buy a new AC unit because of the age of the unit. It took 5 days to bring new part in, Jerry was the repair guy. He complained how he hated working on old units and was rushed.
He put in the part and the AC stopped working completely. He told us that we needed to replace the entire unit there was nothing they could do. Upset I called the office because he left to go to his next job. They didn't seem to care and said there's no guarantee the part would work that our unit was too old. My husband called another company for a second option because we didn't have $6500.
To replace it when it was working prior just had a noise. They came out same day and said that Lens fried the transformer and the thermostat must have hooked it up wrong. We have air because of the other company and they saved our unit. I would recommend Lens to anyone. Unknowledgeable repair guy.
