A. This is a very commonly asked question, and an important one at that. However, there are so many variables that need to be taken into account that a concrete answer is hard to give. Factors such as the type of filter, your lifestyle, if there are pets in the home and how you are affected by allergies can all play a part in how often a filter should be changed.
I called for service late on Thursday evening Chris arrived early Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. We lost heat the first week of March when temps were cold. Ms. Bassette took our call and was great; Chris responded promptly to evaluate the unit. He was honest about the condition of our system. He worked diligently and patiently with us giving us recommendations and estimates. We were concerned about the temperatures and down time waiting for a new HVAC system, and Chris wired our system so we could have heat.

Griffith installed a new heating and cooling system in our home. They custom designed the system and as a result we are completely satisfied with the efficiency. Griffith is awesome! They have been my provider since we built the house. They have always been professional and responsive. Today was incredible! We had our downstairs system fail the day before a graduation party and 98 degree forecast! Kevin, our technician, we very professional and courteous. He went above and beyond finding a control board on a Friday afternoon! Great service, great staff, and great value! Highly recommend them for service!

Both service calls I placed, the company identified expensive part(s) and told me they needed to be replaced - and we later learned these parts were working fine. In all cases the actual problems turned out to be different and much simpler and less expensive to fix than what the company suggested. Wasted $500 here on diagnostic service calls that ended up being incorrect. Unethical business practices - they record all customer calls without telling you.

I simply cannot find the words to articulate how grateful I am to Griffith Heating & Cooling, and there are not enough stars on Google to describe the high level of professionalism, exemplary quality of customer service, and genuine kindness displayed from start to finish by the owner, Jamie, and the entire team. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how knowledgeable, punctual, and efficient Jacob and Steven were in the installation of our new HVAC system.
It is rare to find a business so trustworthy, honest, and committed to customer satisfaction and comfort. I am truly thankful to Griffith for their excellent work and I will never use anyone else for all my HVAC needs. My house is warm and my heart is full!

Had my 16 year old system replaced by Griffith with a variable stage 4 ton air conditioner and variable stage furnace. The estimator did a good job answering all my questions and was able to get installation done the very next day since our old system had died out. One issue was that the contract stated that a thermostat would be installed upstairs.
However it should have stated that a sensor would be installed upstairs. This caused me some confusion that I had to work through with the sales manager Jacob. The communication on that issue and wording of the contract could have been better. I got 60 month interest free financing through Griffith's partnership with Wells Fargo that was nice.
They were able to include an automatic rebate from American Standard on the furnace. On my own, I found another rebate through Columbia Gas. They probably should tell all their customers about this so they don't miss out on this $300 rebate. Overall the installation went well. They had one issue with running a wire upstairs for the sensor and wanted to feed it through the exterior of the house.
I asked them to find a way to keep the wire inside and they figured it out. I would have liked to had been given a better rundown on use and features of the equipment. I figured it out on my own though. They only briefly explained warranty information and setting up a service contract. I had to call back the main office to get clarity on that. As a summary, areas of improvement needed include wording of contract quotes to avoid confusion, giving a better rundown on use of equipment, explaining warranties and maintenance agreements, and sharing rebate information from Columbia Gas.
Overall I would say go with them for your installation if but be sure to ask lots of questions regarding use of your new equipment and about warranties and maintenance agreements.

I am the owner of several rental properties and am always looking for reputable companies to establish a business relationship. Recently, I needed to find an HVAC company that could provide me with quotes for replacing my central AC system. I ran across Griffith while searching the web. I called their office and spoke with an intake service representative. She, in turn, told me that a salesperson would contact me with the details.
I provided her with my contact information and ended the call. Well, three (3) days later, I still have not received a call from anyone at Griffith. I don't know if their sales team are super busy and haven't yet gotten around to calling me OR if the intake service representative did not pass along my information. In my opinion, three (3) days was more than enough time so I had to move forward with a different HVAC company to get my AC back up and running. Maybe Griffith has enough business already whereby they don't need me as a new customer. Guess I will never know.

I have an 8 year old Trane 3.5 ton and a 2 year old 2.5 ton American Standard HVAC. I have seen so many Technicians who should not be touching systems and are just bad at their job. For example, our Trane was leaking R14 coolant every year & no one was able to find the Leak. Mark at Griffith found the issue in 15 minutes. Also because this Trane has 10 years parts + LABOR, he had to prove to Trane that the evaporator coil and TVX were bad.
Within a week Griffith installed and fixed the issue. Recently, I found Jamie (x108). He is freaking awesome and so helpful. He sent Ben who is also another amazing HVAC Tech to service our unit. I believe each company has good or bad people working for them and some has more of one than others. But you are golden, once you learn which person to deal with & have your system worked on.
