Called because our clothes dryer wasn't drying correctly, customer service was very friendly and quick, service man came out the next morning, called before arrival and explained everything when they were finished with service! Wish I could give them 10 stars! My furnance broke down Sunday. I called Erv for emergency service but decided to wait a day since I have fireplace. Said they would be to my Chippewa Falls home first thing Monday morning. They kept their promise and Carl arrived here at 7:30 am. Diagnosed and fixed my furnance in 30 minutes flat. Extremely impressed with Erv Smith and I'm now a forever customer.

Furnace quit working at night. Called Erv Smith and they were there in 30 min. Gavin was our tech and he was excellent. Explained everything he was doing and why. There was no problem with the furnace. He was able to see the gas pressure kept falling when it tried to start. It was a regulator on the LP tank. He poured hot water on it and it started working again. Glad I had someone who know the Tricks of the Trade.

Unbelievably impressed with their service! Called first thing in the morning due to waking up with no heat, ended up needing a new furnace. By 5:00 p.m. that day, they had replaced our entire furnace with a new one. This happened on a day that it was 8 below zero so they were thoughtful enough to bring heaters to keep our house warm while they replaced the furnace. They really turned a day around, that could have been a nightmare, with their courtesy and speedy turnaround time.

Max and I have always been extremely happy with our Erv Smith technicians, as well as the friendly office staff. This year, Matt went above and beyond his duties. We had forgotten we had scheduled a furnace tune up early one Tuesday morning. Max had already departed for work, and I was still in bed, when there was a knock on our door. Puzzled at first as to who would be calling so early, I suddenly remembered our tune up with Erv Smith.
As quick as possible, I made myself presentable, hoping that I would be able to catch the technician before he left. Luckily, Matt, the technician sent to service our furnace, had not yet departed. Apologizing for my disheveled appearance and tardiness, Matt was very gracious, not phased a bit. As we had forgotten our appointment, the items that we keep in front of our furnace had not been removed. Matt said not to worry, he would take care of moving these items. Unbelievably nice.
And of course, the service was top notch. So despite a rocky start by us, Matt took it all in stride. He definitely reflects the top notch service we have come to expect (and receive) from Erv Smith. Thanks again, Matt.

What can I say? These guys are the absolute pinnacle of my HVAC experiences. I needed to replace our AC unit that was apparently installed sometime around 1987; it was roughly 33 years old! They installed a brand new AC unit inside and out, for a price far better than I ever imagined. Efficient, friendly and did a hell of a job. But the real amazing thing is that three days before my AC unit was scheduled to be installed my existing blower actually died!
I was a little worried because I knew I'd need that fixed before the AC unit could be installed. They had someone out same day to replace that and now I have better airflow in my house than ever. I've worked with some absolutely wretched HVAC places in the past and I can tell you that Erv Smith is far and away the best thing going in Eau Claire. They have a customer for life. Thanks again for everything.

We have used this company for as long as I can remember. We have been in our house for over 35 years. We have complete faith in their knowledge and there service. Yesterday our air conditioning went out. We called Theresa and today at 9 Gavin showed up and fixed it. To me that is very responsive. Every employee from Erv Smith that has worked on our home has been friendly.
A couple of years ago our furnace died. We were having a large party and we were panicking. We called Steve Meinholz, he was there the same day, suggested the new furnace we should get based on the size of our house and the following day the furnace was in and the party went on without a hitch. I also have to mention that Noel Smith and his Family has been very generous in the Chippewa Valley with time and money. I would and have recommended them to friends and relatives.

My husband and I have been using Erv Smith since moving to Eau Claire four years ago and we are really impressed by their service. Their technicians are always on time, even calling 15 minutes in advance to let us know they're on their way. Theo recently came out to clean and inspect our AC unit, and, like all of Erv Smith's technicians, was very polite and professional.
The office staff are also wonderful to deal with. I had to reschedule my appointment multiple times and Theresa was just as nice as could be about it. Their customer service is second to none! Thanks! Russ and Vanessa O'Dell
