Be prepared to pay an unfair amount for a soap spray leak test only to be told more tests are needed to actually diagnose the issue. Then learn they can't do the repair anyway because they don't have parts on the truck. So basically, Service Works will make a service call to charge you the service fee, which is fair. However, you will then be charged another fee for a test without results, which will require yet another test. So, AC still doesn't work, I don't have a diagnosis and need to pay for another type of leak test.
Essentially paid $200 for a tech to spray soap on a copper pipe to determine that another type of test was needed. Still have no diagnosis or identified solution and will need to start over. So another service charge plus whatever fee for the next kind of test. The technician was professional and nice but the fees he was instructed to charge is ridiculous.

We recently had our heating system serviced by Service works. We requested a complete maintenance package offered as "the works" for about $400. We were led to believe the technician would open up the heating system for cleaning, as well as check and maintain the heating components. Additionally, the technician agreed to clean and maintain the heating baseboards in the house, as well as diagnose why one room did not heat up adequately.
The cleaning consisted of a quick vacuum of the outside of the heating system, a system flush (you open up a tap and the water runs out), and no baseboard maintenance. There was no change to our system (how it operates, cleanliness etc) after he left. Essentially, we paid $400 for a poor cleaning job. Would not recommend or use again.

I knew when I purchased my home 1.5 yrs ago that the water heater may be older than the 7 years the owner claimed. Usually it's on the tank but inspector couldn't find it so I just made a mental note that it has likely passed it's lifespan. I noticed a leak from the upper element last night so I called Service Works today at noon, they gave me a window of 12-3pm and Brian showed up at 12:30.
He first looked up it's age (14yrs. old), he layed out several options w/o pressure, and I decided to just replace it ASAP. Within 4 hours my new water heater was in and the old one gone, I wish I could remember the name of the other gentleman who came to help him, however both were knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. I was initially set on getting a tankless water heater and they were more than willing to install it, however after learning the pro's/cons with an electric tankless I opted for the traditional tank, if I had a gas water heater it would have been a lot more beneficial saving space & energy, but the later is not so with electric and installation would have involved a lot more than with gas (including upgrading circuit breakers) only to assure a higher electric bill.
I appreciated his honesty as they could have made much more $$ by simply installing the tankless. I also received a very much appreciated military discount. I will definitely recommend Service Works to friends and family and use them in the future to maintain my plumbing and hvac.

I called Service Works after my 81 year old widowed mother received a $4000 estimate to repair her 8 year old furnace from another vendor - and had already written them a check. The estimate sounded off to me so I called Service Works for a second opinion. Service Works had a technician over to her home in less than an hour and all that was needed were a couple of leads - a $400 repair. I am grateful for their fast response and honesty.

They just installed a hot water heater in one day. I called at 10 AM; got a good price quote at 1030 AM. The installer was on site at 1300; He called for a helper, who arrived within 30 minutes. The system was installed by 1600. No undisclosed cost. The installer took time to explain what he was doing. He ensured the heater was working before departing. Best service ever. Highly recommended especially for condo owner.

Service Works LLC are awesome. Less than 1/2 hour after confirming my order and on the same day, their technicians Patrick and Santos were at my residence with the required replacement water heater. The hard physical work in the confined area of my basement equipment room was done expertly and efficiently by Patrick and Santos. From around 10am until now at 2:30, just 4 1/2 hours total, I have a new 75 gallon water heater connected and fully operational, no mess, no fuss, no hassle.
Now that's what I call service! My wife will be pretty happy that there was no inconvenience and that she doesn't have to take a cold shower. Now I'm going to enjoy a warm shower courtesy of the new water heater installed by Service Works LLC!

Just had my water heater installed by Service Works. Very prompt, next day service. Price was quoted and delivered too. Very competitive price, better than all the big guys! No pressure about trying to up-sell! Installers showed up on the time and completed job within 2 and 1/2 hours. Highly recommend this company! Thanks for the good work!

I disagree with the previous review. We got a new water heater installed by them. Not only were they the best price quote for a better quality water heater, but the serviceman was very courteous and honest. I offered a tip at the end and he refused it saying that they don't normally get tipped. He made sure I knew how to work the water heater before leaving too. I plan on switching from my current heating and cooling maintenance company to them once our current contract is up.

WOW, STICKER SHOCK! Well, The technician was very good, courteous and showed up on time. I had a leak in a faucet that I needed to have evaluated and 2 slow drains to snake. I spent about a half hour with the technician figuring out a solution to the leaky faucet, which would have involved ordering new guts and having him come back to install them.
Then he went to work on the drains, which took a little over an hour. He did a very good job and was very thorough, even showing me the clogs he got out, gross but thorough. I didn't feel at all uncomfortable until he gave me an invoice for the 2 drains. $625.00. Yeah, that's right, here for less than 2 hours and cost me over $312 an hour.
It never occurred to me that anything like this could cost this much. I don't know what planet these people live on but it is not mine. I immediately told them I was cancelling any further work and would go on Yelp and tell everyone to avoid Service Works as they are absurdly expensive. I have employed lawyers for less than that per hour and I am a professional concert violinist who works for a major symphony and I don't get that much money for a 2 1/2 hour concert.
The poor technician was apologetic and I know it is not his job to set fees. I live in North Arlington and this is not the first time I have seen gouging in this neighborhood for the most minor services. I have been in this neighborhood for nearly 20 years and it has changed significantly in its demographic. As a result I think there are sliding scales for these areas that are perceived (certainly correctly) as affluent.
I have successfully avoided being victim to this gouging partly because I have a lot of experience in renovating 2 of my own homes. I do realize that partly this is my own fault, and I am reminded now to be more careful. (yet again) I will now require a complete and unchangeable estimate of all work to be done. Irregardless, this was an unreasonable amount of money for the service.
I would not recommend Service Works to anyone, and I would warn all who are considering using them, to think again. I paid them in full by the way, simply because I don't want to go to court, or have any further contact with them ever. I am going to repair the faucet myself. When it costs more money than I can make to get something done. DIY
