We are proud to have been serving New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick counties and surrounding areas since 1996. Chris Smith and Kristen Smith are the owners of CBS Mechanical Services. Chris has lived in Wilmington, NC, and even performed his apprenticeship there. Kristen handles the office for the company. The Smith family are active members of the St. Mark Catholic Church. They enjoy spending time together as a family, especially watching Jesse, their son, play travel baseball and Frannie perform in dance competitions.

Bryant dealer, but we will work on Carrier, Trane, York, Goodman, Lenox, Rheem, American Standard, Coleman, etc. Our expertise ranges from old homes, new construction, office units, schools, churches, and even crematoriums.
Since our licenses include H2 and H3 classifications, we can install residential, commercial, and industrial installations. We also will not suggest a new unit unless the existing unit needs to be replaced, so there will be no worries about whether or not we are replacing your unit just to make a sale.

We had a very horrible experience with Chris, owner at CBS Mechanical. Over promise and under deliver is what we experienced constantly from the bid to the actual invoice on the job, to getting the work done in a timely fashion, to the quality of workmanship. To cap it off he stepped on a fire sprinkler line in the attic above our lobby resulting in over $15,000 in water damage and repairs needed.
See pic. Give Wilmington Air a call. It took Chris almost 2 weeks to even start a job replacing insulation on a duct. Wilmington Air was onsite for an estimate the same day as we called and had the repair completed within 3 days.

Chris and the guys at CBS Mechanical are unreal. I've used them over the past 4 years for a Wilmington property that I have. It never fails that my AC unit stops working after 5pm. I call CBS and the guys are all over it. They went out recently in 100 degree heat in under and hour. Seriously-call these guys. Awesome work.
