Daryl Senica was a service technician / installer for a local air conditioning company. When Hurricane Andrew struck Dade County in 1992, Daryl's excellent reputation made him the perfect choice to help residents with AC repair and new system installations. Once back in Spring Hill, friends and family urged Daryl to start his own company because of his reputation for quality and fair business practices. On his second day, the No Name Storm struck the greater Tampa Bay area, sending 12 foot storm surges that devastated the Hernando Beach area.

I definitely can recommend Senica A/C. They were absolutely excellent from beginning to end. Michelle was very polite on the phone when I called, and Don Raymond, the tech, called me right back, even though it was after work hours on Friday night. He came right out, diagnosed the problem very quickly, and fixed it just as fast. We were back up and running, all within an hour. He was honest, polite, and professional. You can have every confidence in trusting him and Senica.

Our A/C went out and being in Florida it gets hot fast. Called Senica early afternoon and they were able to get someone out that day. They kept in touch letting us know when they would arrive. I arrived home at 5 PM on Friday to discover that my house was 84 degrees, although I had set the air conditioning to cool to 79 degrees. I called Senica, and received a call from the technician ten minutes later. He told me to shut the system off and promised to arrive within an hour. He was here in about half an hour and fixed my system in less than half an hour. Because I had a service contract, there was no charge. Senica has always treated us well, and we recommend them to our friends. Great service!

I found their sticker in the garage when I purchased my home last year. I recently had to call them because the unit wasnt cooling the home. Once the tech arrived, I was informed the unit needed a new motor, it was immediately replaced and the home was back to cooling right away. Their customer service on the phone and in person is excellent.

We called when our Air Conditioner stopped working. Christian was here within 2 hours. We had a new thermostat and he changed that for us. My husband tried putting on new thermostat and it wouldn't work. Now thanks to Christian were all set. Everyone was great to work with.

I have their annual maintenance plan. They come out always on time and professional. Check everything wash the coils and ensure the unit is in good working order. They let me know of any repairs needed and even check the same on next visit to ensure all is operating well. Highly recommend them. On time professional and knowledge. I currently have a scheduled maintenance contract with Senica Air Conditioning. They come out twice a year to check my HVAC and I receive a discount on any necessary repairs. I have nothing but praise for Senica Air. Christian is by far the most knowledgeable and professional technician I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend requesting Christian for all of your service calls. I plan to have my entire system replaced later this year and Senica Air will definitely be the one to do the job.

Air conditioner started to struggle to cool the house, called Senica since I had a contract with them, what a mistake that was. First tech that came out was at the house for 15/20 minutes before it started raining and said he could not complete the job, and that he would be back in the morning. Next day comes around, original tech calls and says he is tied up at another job and that another tech would make it out out my house.

The 2nd tech comes out, checks the system out and says my evaporator coil is impacted, and would need to be removed cleaned and put back in (it's been years since I've done HVAC work, but I've never had to remove a coil to clean it). 2nd tech said he wouldn't be able to do it that day since it was a 4 hour job, and he would come the following Tuesday to do the job, he said the office would call the schedule it.

This all happened on a Friday and Saturday (May 22nd & 23rd). I call a 2nd company out on Sunday for a 2nd opinion. The tech from that company was wonderful to deal with, said my coil didn't need to be removed, but he would clean it up, and remove some refrigerant from the system because it had been overcharged, most likely from the 2nd tech from Senica. Took the tech from the 2nd opinion company an hour to get my system back up, and cooling the house down. Tuesday (May 26th) comes around, and I end up calling the Senica office at 4pm because no one has called me, and was told that the tech didn't inform anyone that they were supposed to call to set up a return time to come "fix" the system.

While I was talking to the office, I canceled the contract, and asked for a refund for the service fee when the tech first came out. I was told that because certain things weren't documented on the invoice I would not be able to get a refund until a service manger spoke to me. It is now the next day (May 27th) at 5:10pm and I have not received a call from anyone at Senica.

I will have to go through my bank in getting a refund for services I have poorly received or didn't receive at all. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who wants any sort of communication, integrity, and repairs done on any kind of timely fashion. If I hadn't had called the 2nd opinion AC company, I'd still be without AC.

Senica air came out to repair my air conditioner for $325. I watched him replace an electrical part that he wasn't too sure about it matching, He still put it in any way. The repair lasted 10 minutes after he left. So I assumed the part he used was incorrect and failed or caused more damage. So I called them back. They finally came back 5 hours later and said the electrical fan motor had burnt out.

I mentioned that maybe the part he used may have been incorrect and caused the fan motor to burn out. Senica said no it was just a coincidence and I would have to pay another three hundred and some dollars for a second repair. I refused and asked for a partial payment back so I could hire someone else and they said no. Senica air is dishonest company do not hire them!.

Senica installed top of line Carrier system in my house in April 2014. They had to change duct system and electrical. They did a great job and the system has worked very good since install. I had 2 warranty repairs in 6 years. One warranty repair was done 2 days ago. Placed call at 9:30 am and Justin had repairs completed by 11:00 am. They provide great service. I was surprised there were no calls or surveys to ask about my satisfaction with new installed system.

Our Air quit late Friday August 16. Called Senica Air early Saturday August 17. Dave was at our house before 11 A.M. Our air was back on quickly. Very impressive service at a very reasonable cost.

SUMMER.in Florida.feelin Hot Hot Hot! This year summer begins June 21, 2019. But since when does the weather in Florida cooperate? At the end of May, still in the season of 'Spring', we experienced record highs of 99 degrees and above! HOT is HOT and we got a LOT! And so my story begins. June 3rd, Monday, around 5:45 pm. High 90's, as seen in the green, glowing at me from the dashboard display.

In the driveway, felt the blast furnace fury exiting the cocoon of coolness within the cabin of my car. Time seems to freeze(pun intended) in the moments traveling between cooled-down car and the air conditioned ahhhhhhh of inner sanctum. Heat. Hurry. Home. Swiftly, I moved past the threshold of heat versus cold, as I shut the domicile door. But I found no relief within.

No refrigerated retreat. No a/c icy. No central air lair. The cool air is nowhere in there. I found no thrill in this lack of chill. On the recommendations of friends Moss and Mel, we made the call to Senica Air Conditioning, after I had duly investigated the cause and came up with nil. The answering service was proficiently professional and polite.

They explained a tech would be calling us ASAP to talk about the problem. Within minutes, I received a call from Melvin. He was about 30-45 minutes out and he would keep us posted on his progress. Have you ever met someone and immediately known you were in extremely capable hands? That is exactly how we felt as Melvin stepped out of his Senica service van.

His youth disguised the wisdom and wealth of knowledge within. Melvin instinctively knew where to look and quickly found the cause of our air despair. All the while I'm following him like Harry Potter followed his Hogwarts professors. Melvin had the comforting demeanor of someone thrice his age. LOL He literally was investigating, diagnosing, repairing, explaining and instructing as he brought life, cold cold life, back to our a/c! I've got a pretty solid background of useful and occasionally useless knowledge so it was easy and fun to keep up with what I was watching and hearing from Melvin.

I knew he was working smart and in a carefully ordered sequence as he went on to double check the entire system. With precision gauges and instruments he ensured our unit was working within or up to factory standards and settings. So now, here I am writing this review, in the cozy comfort of coolness, made possible by Senica A/C. And the most incredible technician and company representative ever, Melvin! I AM bragging about these folks, and even though I cross-my-fingers hope I never have to call them. I've got their number! Need to Cool Down? Call Senic-ahhhhhhhhhhh!

The are the BEST. We be been using Senica since about 2005 for all my AC needs and also they replaced a hot water tank for me. They are always reliable and professional. Plus fairly priced.

Senica is a professional outfit. Paul C. has been taking care of my AC and has been totally great. I recommend them to my friends. I had another company several years ago and they cheated me and lied so that I was out several thousand dollars before I finally found Senica.

My A/C went out and since it is a system from 1999, I feared the worst as well as feared being taken advantage of my lack of knowledge. I called Senica at 9am and they explained how busy they were (which in my eyes is a good thing), but they would be able to service me the same day after 2PM. They were able to get out by 4:30 and Paul the technician was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

He was able to decipher the problem within minutes, with it only be a capacitor issue. He could have easily told me I would have needed a new system and took advantage, but remained honest! Senica has gained a customer for life, as long as I remain in the area at least!

When I had my Lennar home built 11 years ago, Senica installed the A/C-heat pump. I have repeatedly had them do the yearly maintenance service since then. Numerous times I also had to call them for an emergency because of a failed part, etc. Recently I decided to completely replace my system because of its age and the tax refund advantages of doing so at the time.

I called three different company's for estimates and though not the cheapest, I took Senica again because of the prompt and excellent service they had provided in the past. With my new Amana system, which carries a 10year full warranty for parts and labor, I have had to call them twice. Each time it was a Sunday and they amazed me that they came out within a couple hours.

I thought it would be a Monday PM at the earliest. Without question, Senica has always been there for us and being a retiree from "Up North" it gives me shivers to select any company to work on my home without references. You will be very pleased with Senica. Dave and Roxy

We had a very similar experience as Shawn last night. After 3 calls to dispatch a technician never called us and no one ever showed up. We were originally told after 3pm. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional

My initial call for service was around 12:30 pm. The female who took my call was very nice and pleasant to deal with. She told me "sometime after 1" and stressed that this was peak season for them and that they were VERY busy. I was happy for them to be blessed with work. 3 hours later I called back to see if she had any idea how much longer, she again stated the fact that they were very busy.

After putting me on hold for a short time she came back on the line and said that 'It hasn't even been dispatched yet' ( I thought she said discussed yet), she assured me someone would be there, and told me they work past 5 O'clock. I waited until 6:01 then I called again. This time it was the afterhours workers taking calls. I asked them to radio or page the technician for an idea of how much longer.

Finally at 6:21 a technician named John called me and asked if I knew who my technician was.?. I told him no, nobody had ever told me a name. He said ' Well your technician should have called you, I will find out who it is and call you back'. I suggested he have the technician himself call me (duh). 25 minutes later I had to call John back, he said my technician's name was Dave and that he was still at other jobs, but that he would still "go out there".

That is when I said "Tell Dave to just go elsewhere and cancel the call". At 7:30 pm I went to Lowes and bought a window shaker unit to make us a cold room in our master bedroom at least. I would have done this at 1pm if they had just been honest with me and said that it would be very late before someone could come out. I know this business practice is to keep people strung along so that you do not call anyone else.

I was warned by 2 people "whatever you do don't call Senica". I guess I should have listened. BTW I called Istachatta Heating and Air this morning around 9am and they were done by noon $140 parts and labor AWESOME!
