The female that answers the phones has the worst attitude and I gave it right back to her she couldn't take what she dished out, so she hung up on me. I took the first available air conditioner service date 2 months ago, only to find out that they did the check when they came out to look at the dryer, no one mentioned this. They make and reschedule appointments whenever they feel like it and don't tell the customer.

We had our annual A/C maintenance checkup today. Our technician was great. He checked out everything thoroughly and my husband was extremely pleased that he took his time and didn't rush. Broward Factory Service will easily repair a $5 part under their service contract. Anything more expensive is another story. They replaced my A/C coils 2 1/2 years ago because they were corroded. The part was covered by the manufacturer, but labor was not. Broward charged $450. Now, the coils are leaking again. Broward stated I should replace the whole system.
When asked why they did not simply replace or repair the coils, I was told that it is not covered under the exclusion section of our contract. This stated failure from corrosion or rust is not covered. They did not seem to care that Aluminum does NOT rust or corrode, so the part should be covered. Not so, they do what they want. Stay away from this company, and any company like them. Best to self insure, most times you will come out way ahead. There is always a reason to not honor their contractual committment.

Horrible company! They are only in business to overcharge you and charge you what's NOT covered in your service agreement. Please don't use this company! Had this service for more than 10years. I rarely call them as I try to keep my appliance well maintain. Bought an AC from them years ago and they came many time to fix it. The last they came was Sept. 27 and check on AC.
I ask the technician and he told me it's the coil failure and will ordered it. A couple days later they call me to ask me to pay $450 additional for parts that need to be replace before they can fix the coil. Called the office and was told it was ED the manager that instructed it as the warranty expired. We have been a Broward customer for many years and have been very satisfied with their quick response to our calls and for their very fair price. We have always warranteed all of our appliances, however now our major appliances are waranteed by the manufacturer because they are all new. We would not hesitate to go back to Broward in the future.

Signed a contract to install a new AC unit in my condo. They helped get the permit. The day before the scheduled service they canceled. Then they came a day later, about 2 hours late, and never finished the installation. They rescheduled a week later. Never showed up and never contacted me. Unreliable, unresponsive, inconsiderate. Just don't use them. Very disappointed One star is too high of a rating.

Brevard Factory services has upped their game. I took out a home warranty with this company last year and must admit that, until just a few months ago, I was very disappointed in their service. Then, , all of a sudden, the manager was replaced and they brought in a technician by the name of Chris B. This is a young man with old school values. He is pleasant and polite and very professional.
He has come twice to fix the work of the repair people who had come out before him, but Chris was the one who got the job done - by himself - both times. Chris' perseverance is quite remarkable in this day and age. Late Saturday night, the A/C shut down and nothing I did made any difference. This job was a little tricky because all of the air conditioner parts had already been replaced by the other guys before him, and checked out fine.
It wasn't until Chris actually tore the compressor unit apart - and got inside of it! - that he found the cause of the A/C's shut down. He reported that there were wires hanging everywhere inside, some connected but some were hot and had not been capped off. The problem was that, with the strong weather we've been having, the loose wires were dangling around and, at one point connected with the metal frame and grounded out the compressor.
He re-wired everything properly and BAM. Cool air. I had not had any AC for almost 3 days and, if you've ever travelled to Florida in the summertime, being without AC is brutal. Thanks to Chris B, that's at least one fewer thing I have to worry about now. Thank you, Chris. You're a champ!

We have used Broward Factory for over seven years and would not go anywhere else. We see the same technicians Mike and Tony each time we need them. They are both amazing, not only giving advice on our appliances, but also sharing knowledge with other issues. They are always on time and it is easy to call the office to get an appointment. When you consider how much other companies charge for "call out" visits, our maintenance service pays for itself. I would highly recommend Broward to my friends and family. You will not find a better service both professionally and economically.

I guess I'll be just another unsatisfied customer of Broward Factory Service. Do not choose them for your home warranty repairs. They take weeks to come out to your home only to look at your appliance and let you know that they'll need to order parts that will take more weeks to get in. They will make you take time off of work and then not show up for their appointment, and then put you at the end of line to get you rescheduled. They admit all their customers are unsatisfied and that I'm just another one.

Starting with Colleen in the office, she is always very pleasant and professional. Mike, the HVAC tech has been GREAT thru our issues. He is always polite, professional and gets the job done RIGHT! We have had Ryan also as our "issue" was complicated. Ryan diagnosed our situation, made a positive recommendation and helped resolve our problem. Sean in Ft. They will do everything and anything "NOT " to repair/replace what they are suppose to even if you have the GOLD REPLACEMENT PLAN! I always had to fight with them to do the right thing! I had 3 contracts with Broward Factory Service and I no longer do business with them. Had this service for 10 years. Solely because I don't call them often. Only efficient thing about the company is Michelle. Apologies and any hope for real service is left to her. Constant need to come back, reschedules, promises and excuses. 1200 high end unit property on the beach and they still cant figure out what models I have in advance so I don't lose a day waiting every time; then they come, (maybe) write down model and serial and have to come back.
Over $600. for replacement contract that doesn't replace. Offered $150. after trying to fix dishwasher 4 times. The worse. Now man came to my building for AC and left after never coming to my unit or calling. If I could lower the rating I would.

Horrible company, I would not recommend to my worst enemy. They will send technicians who have no clue what they are doing, and they will troubleshoot your equipment over the phone. There is no level of management that will care about you frustrations not the manager of the Clearwater office (Ryan), his manager (Steve) will yell at you over the phone, go back on his word to replace your ac, then hang up on you.
The regional manager (Larry Herd) also does not care about any frustrations, and definitely is not going to apologize. Sarah Herd in marketing is the only person I have dealt with, and had a good outcome. The attic unit fan motor went out originally and it was replaced same day, the same motor and brackets went out two days later. The technician told me it was a fluke and that he was going to repair the same parts, later that day it ended up being that the wrong parts were put in.
He replaced the attic motor and it has worked since other than being loud. I had 3 days of no ac through this. Two weeks later my compressor goes bad, they send a technician out who goes to the wrong house and says no one is home and leaves, after I call and tell them my door is wide open and I'm right here he comes back. He then proceeds to break into my back yard, without telling me he was going back.
He pushed my locked gate until the point of breaking. He broke the boards and popped the screws out of the latch. He never told me he went in my backyard. He came inside and yelled it's raining we will have to come back, at this point I was trying to ask when and he walked away from me and drove off. From here I called the office after explaining he was in my backyard I told them this can't be because the gate is locked, they let me know "he was able to get it open even though it was locked." After talking with Ryan he let me know he would call me back in 30 minutes and if it was not raining he would send a technician back out, never got a call back.
He also told me he would have someone out the next morning at the latest. After no call back by mid morning I called the office and was put directly on the phone with Ryan, he let me know he wasn't able to have anyone out in the morning but would have someone no later than 1, around 12:30 he called to tell me it would be 2. I explained to him that it was getting cloudy, and he said he will have his technician wait out the rain if needed.
By 2:30 the technician was here, he attempted to fix the ac by replacing parts other than the compressor (which I understand). It started raining and he did wait out the rain for about 45 minutes but then came to tell me after the rain that they cannot replace the compressor due to the rain. (This was by 4pm, if they were here on time I would not have to go a weekend with no ac).
He explained they would have the issue fixed Monday. I expressed all my concerns to Ryan and after getting no where I asked for his manager "big boss" to call me, he explained he would Monday morning around 9. The call came in today around 9 as it was suppose to, after voicing my frustrations and mentioning a new AC unit he was all about it, he said he would have it replaced we went over the cost to get it up to code and all seemed well.
I finally got someone to care about my frustrations, wrong. He was telling me that the warranty won't cover my unit because it's old, that they are only responsible to keep it running, and replace if it can't run anymore. I let him know I understand that but the frustration truly lies at the fact that they cannot get it working for me in a timely manner.
After he interrupted me multiple times I asked him to let me speak, he explained he already let me talk plenty. At this point we were both yelling over the phone, he then said "you know what I've changed my mind, we aren't replacing your ac my technician is on the way to fix the compressor" I explained I will have to take this to the BBB, he then said good luck and hung up. After talking to Steve I got the same answer, and no apology.

About two years ago both ovens in the apartment that we rent broke down. Our landlord has a contract with BFS and so we have non control over who does repairs at our apartment It took Broward Factory Service 2 MONTHS to get the ovens repaired. Recently they broke down again. This time it took 6 WEEKS to get them repaired. They rarely show up in the time-frame that they tell you and on ocassion don't show up at all.
You take a day off of work to get your appliance fixed and then have to take another day off because THEY can't make it. We just called last week becuase the dishwasher went out and they scheduled me for a week later. I sat home all day waiting for them and when I finally called, they said that they had called last Friday and left a message that they couldn't make it today. I checked my messages and they DID NOT call. Another day wasted.

Beware! Scheduled a/c repair. Tech shows up and states he will not do the repair as it is too difficult for one person. He calls office, then states there would be a $695.00 charge to do the "normal covered repair", he was hostile and belligerent. Office staff, knowing a/c is out of freon, states, "have a wonderful day". Manager Steve Ferguson is rude, argumentative, and states do you want a refund of the policy? (Have policy 3-4 years with minimal repairs) Regional Manager, Larry Herd states the owner is my brother. Sarah (Herd) who responds to online complaints states she would inform the owner/president and have response in morning: no response. Sarah then states the VP has the info and will respond in the morning: no response. Broward Factory Service is d/b/a for Herd Enterprises Inc.
If you experience similar treatment, please file a complaint, class action lawsuit. DO NOT accept a refund, force Broward Factory Service to honor the Home Warranty contract you paid for. NOTE: After the tech complained it would take more than one person to do the installation BFS tried to extort additional labor charges before doing the installation which would have repaired the A/C.

BFS fabricated, and continues to state that the doorway is not sufficiently large enough to make the repair, but extortion of $695.000 causes an incredible miracle to occur that enables BFS to make the contractual repair without having to move doors or walls. Christine Walton (Herd) denied our warranty coverage and refuses to honor contracts in order to greedily line the family pockets.
This is a deceptive company. BEWARE: PLEASE READ the front of your contract. It states in BOLD letters, "you MUST SIGN the back portion of this form FOR YOUR CONTRACT TO BE IN FORCE". BTW, BFS measured the space prior to the appointment and never stated there was an issue. Also, several reputable A/C companies have measured the doorway and A/C closet and found they would have no problem installing or repairing, and would not charge extra.

Right now this service has 1.5 stars. I saw one 5-star review just before I selected to place my review. I can't see how these 5-star people see this company as "As good as it gets!" They haven't experienced the TURMOIL my family has! We've been paying a LOT OF MONEY annually for a service that delivers POOR SERVICE! We bought all new appliances within the past couple of years and, of course, there's little that can go wrong with "NEW!" Our Air conditioners are about 20 years old and they are breaking down on a regular schedule.
The upstairs A/C usually loses Freon annually. This year a pipe burst and the technician was here three times to repair that one. My Mother-In-Law is 90 years old. The downstairs A/C covers her room. That A/C has broken down temporarily about 4 times and no technician can figure out the problem! The temperature in Las Vegas area reaches well over 100 degrees for three months!
These Air conditioners never get the care they need. The technicians that work on these repairs does a terrific job every time. The problem is, his hands are tied! He can't replace what needs to be replaced! THE WHOLE UNIT!

Peter was awesome! Its a good thing we asked for different tech than that Rod guy. He is lazy and do a very quick assessment on the trouble ticket, he does not fix the problem instead blame it on something that would not cover your appliance. Ask me about our toilet issue trouble tix. Back on the good note-Peter took his time to tackle our fridge issue.
He is very detail oriented and work thoroughly. He did not just fix the problem he also took the time to test his work multiple times and made sure that our fridge is working back to its normal functions. If you are subscribes to this company for your appliance repair- please take it from me- do not let that Rob guy handle your dilemma or you can find out for your self then you can also tell us all your experience. I have had my contract for two years for home warranty gold and silver package yesterday I was experiencing problems with my air-conditioner I called and they came out within a few hours they said it needed Freon and it seem to cool later in the day and all night long the air-conditioner condenser made loud noisesPreventing me from sleeping when I contacted the office early this morning they told me that they could not get to me today that would be out tomorrow morning, the manager stated " there's no sense sending the same technician since he couldn't fix it yesterday"! now the temperature is stuck on 84 even though I've lowered it to 60 the banging noise is not occurring anymore but no air either. I contacted BFS again and was told the $695 policy I have doesn't include emergency service. $100 MORE! Very disappointed! Can only get an appointment for tomorrow!

Buyer beware! I was a customer of this company for years and then started to review the number of times (rare) that I called for service and had anything done that was covered under the service agreement. Whatever needed service always needed something that wasn't covered under the agreement which meant more out of pocket expense. Advice: save your money and open a special account to cover repair costs through a reputable company. (Not this one) They are by far only looking for ways to rip off the consumer and make additional revenue for their company.

I have had my service contracts in Broward county with Broward Factory Service since 2010. Office personnel is amazing - Michelle is the best- She is a big reason I have kept my contracts after all these years! I All of the techs who have come to my apartments to do repairs have been very pleasant, kind and very knowledgeable. Always see the same guys! (which is a good thing) They get the job done and done quickly. they always show up when they say they are going to be there. I ask for a 30 minute call before - so I'm not sitting around waiting or missing work! 5 stars!

Absolutely horrible service. Called today. Weather forecast is 100+ for next three days. BFS can get to me Monday (four days)! I can call if the outside temperature reaches 98 degrees. If it is after hours I can leave a message. Wonderful. A BFS guy was here less than two weeks ago for a complimentary AC check. I guess he broke something because now AC is blowing HOT.
At least he gave me an estimate for a whole new unit (more than $5000!) It's better for BFS bottom line if they sell a whole new AC system, not do warranty repairs like THEY ARE PAID TO DO! AC Check is a SCAM to sell more expensive products!

So far I haven't been able to have an experience to actually speak of other than the office personnel and the non-responsiveness of what they say that they're going to do. In today's world many people work and when they give you a window from 8:30 to 12:30 or from 12:30 to 5:30 it's very hard for working people to stay home and wait that long when they agree to give you an hour's notice but failed to call only 5 minutes notice it's hard to actually get to your service appointment.
And after rescheduling many times and actually working with them when they tell you that it's too cold and they need to cancel your appointment to repair your air conditioning because they need to fix heat for other people and you agree and you're doing them a favor. Then when they're technician shows up without an actual schedule appointmen The office staff wants to argue that their technician and actuality called and gave you a notice when they actually didn't.
My personal opinion would be never to use this company. Whatever happened to the customer is always right I've been working in the construction business for over 20 years I would never recommend this company to any homeowner or business Signed Steven Anderson

If there was a spot for NO stars, that would be my rating. Once these people have your money for the yearly contract, Good luck getting them to show up. My air conditioner has been out of three weeks now. They have offered every excuse you could think of, including only in our area on Tuesday and Thursday, and calling the wrong customer, among others.
