First let me say that I rather buy a car than have to buy air conditioning and heating. I did my due diligence and had multiple quotes to replace my systems. Vito came in and was the most knowledgeable and customer friendly person to arrive at my house. I didn't feel like just another customer with AirMaxx Mechanical. I was given sound advice, he listened to my questions and issues, and provided the best value.
Second VITO and Drew spent a week with us to replace my 17 year old system. The quality of work, communication, and care provided to my job was second to none. You can tell when a person is passionate about what they do and Vito and Drew were excellent with finding existing problems from the builder and making sure that my Trane units, humidifier, and air purifier, and new duct work were installed correctly to provide service for many years to come. This was a wonderful experience getting my home AC and furnace replaced. Hunter came out and assessed everything thoroughly with us. They were by far the best value and quickest with availability and in stock access to products. We decided to go with the 16 seer Trane ac unit with 80% furnace. Let me start by saying I have never written a review for ANYONE before but the level of professionalism and service I received from this company and its servicemen was wonderful. I spent a month without air, in Richmond Summer, dealing with back and forth communication and lack luster service from unprofessional service provider sent to me by a home warranty company, that I know longer use. needless to say I was hot, agitated, and felt like my family would be hot forever. However, I took a chance on Airmaxx Mechanical and they came through.
I had a leak in the exact wrong place and thought it would never get fixed. then came Josh who figured out my problem and Hunter who not only showed knowledge and professionalism but fixed the unit and didn't take all day to do it! Had to replace the 31 yr old attic duct work and the 17 yr old attic air handler plus the 17 yr old outdoor HVAC unit. Also had to replace the 13 yr indoor hot water heater. All the work was completed as scheduled. The employees arrived on time, worked diligently, and demonstrated knowledge related to their area of expertise. Woke up recently to a cold house. Airmaxx shuffled their appointments to fit me in the same day. The tech, Josh, was fantastic. Despite his best efforts, the problem persisted. He came back out the same day and stayed late to make sure we had heat before he left and that it would stay on. Which it did. So glad we picked Airmaxx to install and maintain our HVAC. Steven came out to our house this morning and took care of our AC unit that was not putting out any cold air what so ever. He was very thorough in his initial investigation and cleaned up and serviced the unit both inside and out. He was very knowledgeable and informative and provided great details on the work he performed and all was done in a very timely manner!
The unit is running great now and the overall experience left us to be more than likely return customers should we require any further HVAC services. The prices are very reasonable and even provided a military discount!

I have used Airmaxx for years and absiolutely think they are by far the best. Two young men ( Hunter and Andrew) came out to my home yesterday Jan. 14th to service my two units and did a fantastic job! They called to let me know that they were on the way and arrived as promised. Upon arrival they checked with me to first see if I had any concerns or any issues that they needed to investigate.
Hunter and Andrew did a very thorough job making sure that both units were workintg properly as well as the thermostats and air handler units. These two young men were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I did not feel that they rushed but took their time to make sure the job was done correctly. Both boys put covers on their shoes as they entered the house to protect my floors and carpets.
After they were finished they explained everything to me that they had done and asked if I had any questions. I was so impressed with Hunter and Andrew and really appreciated everything they did. Thank you Airmaxx for employing such qualified people that made me feel that this service was well worth the money!

After a disastrous first attempt at repair of my old HVAC unit at my rental house with another company, I called Neil Jernigan at Airmaxx Mechanical for one of two bids for a new unit, one from Neil Jernigan at Airmaxx Mechanical, Inc. and one from Woodfin. Neil came right out within 6 hours of my call and met with the tenant and me and promptly notified me that the unit would be expensive to repair and was more than 10 years old and "builder grade." All this was true and accurate.
He warned that repair was "throwing good money after bad" and I agreed. Within 24 hours he and his team were removing the old unit and installing the new! He made special payment arrangements for me as I was a "return customer" and I paid by personal check on the date agreed. He followed up with the tenants to make sure all was well. I would use him again in the future without question.
The difference in the bid with Woodfin was $1000+ higher! Plus Woodfin could not install a new unit for two weeks! The tenant was so happy with Neil's good service and he has my business from now on!
