Alex came over to install new Trane thermostats. I have been a nest user for years, and he was able to walk me through why Nest wasn't appropriate for my two stage system and how their thermostats would work more efficiently. Since we paid up for a more sophisticated heating/ac we should maximize those benefits.

On one of the hottest days of the year our AC went out. I called several places till I finally called them and they sent Antonio our right away. AC went out last weekend and out of the 5 AC repair companies I called Elite Air was the only one that got back to me same day. The next morning Antonio arrived and was able to quickly diagnose and repair the issue. He was super knowledgeable, provided helpful guidance on how we can reduce our cooling bill, and even helped fix an airflow issue in one of our guest bathrooms - free of charge.

We've been dealing with A/C issues for that past 2 months and have had several companies come in to attempt to fix the issue with no success until Antonio from Elite A/C and plumbing came to the rescue. Antonio was professional and transparent with what the issue was and what he was going to do to fix it. He was quick, efficient and most importantly SUCCESSFUL with the repair. We called Elite Air Condition because we had a leak in the ceiling of our dental practice. Mark was the HVAC tech. that was assigned to our office. He was very professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. Mark fixed our problem within an hour. We were able to open up and see patients at our normal time. 2 years after install, I have only a few complaints: 1) Emails quoted me for a 3-ton system, but then the quote I signed had a bait-and-switch to a 2.5-ton system. 2) Additionally, my quote included an expensive repair line for "duct work modifications", which did not seem to happen. (The proper strapping and routing of ducts was already to be included with the HVAC installation.

But there were no extensions / additions of ducts to my knowledge because they all look like the same ole dusty ducts, just strapped up off the ground. Maybe I'm mistaken here, but either way, the hot room I mentioned during consultation is still hotter than the other rooms.) Unfortunately I realized this swap and non-work many, many months after installation and didn't bother bringing it up with management since my online "signature" is on the 2.5-ton contract and because I don't even know where to begin with requesting reimbursement for the "duct work" because it was bundled with insulation.

Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but from what I understand, the salesperson I originally worked with is no longer with the company. 3) Although technicians have seemed unhurried in answering my questions, maybe not all are great at critical thinking around my thermostat's inaccurate temperature displays. *** I have been told that the thermostat absolutely cannot be wrong in temperature readings (nevermind that it is an electronic device dependent on correct circuitry and a slew of variables other than its location). *** I've also been told that there is no way to calibrate the display temperature to match my thermometers (which turned out to be inaccurate; there is indeed a setting that the homeowner can adjust). *** The inaccurate temperature readings have nothing to do with the "Overcool" feature, but I was served a lesson on the latter anyway. It's all a little frustrating for this engineer, to say the least.

If I'm to be generous, perhaps they all just wanted to mark their jobs done and couldn't be bothered to think beyond the scope of the specific task at hand (the coil change, the sealing). *** The only reasonable suggestion was that the readings are expected to be +/- 3 degrees from true temperatures. (!) (This is not the case with my other thermostat, which is always within 1 degree.

I wouldn't think it would be the case with this thermostat either, but that's what the company rep said.) Also, technicians might forget to follow-up even if they say they will. Tip: Easiest to call the office to get on the list for a callback / scheduled visit. So why the 5-star review? I have called Elite several times this past year to check the pressure (which was low, so refrigerant was added), check the pressure again (which was low again, resulting in replacing the evaporator coil due to a refrigerant leak), and seal up air leakage on the indoor unit.

I could have avoided all these calls if (1) the coil hadn't been faulty upon installation and if (2) technicians had been more thorough to begin with, eg considered diagnosing WHY the refrigerant was low at the time (I was told that perhaps it had never been the correct amount when installed), sealing everything properly after replacing the coil.

That said, the customer service end of the company is done well. - Responsive office / call center. - Elite has honored their 2-year labor warranty right up until the end of the 24th month without issue. Though now I'm scared of future costs if something like my evap coil is once again discovered to be leaking, and it takes more than one technician / trip to get to the proper diagnosis and solution.

I do believe that Elite has the right intentions and a respectable approach to business from an operations standpoint. They can't totally oversee the conversations had between technicians and clients, unfortunately. I don't regret recommending them to my friends. (Hopefully no more broken parts are discovered.) Just gotta read the fine print on your quote, pay attention to what work you are / are not getting sooner than later, and do a bit of your own homework!

I entered an online repair request at 10pm. I received a call back at 8:00 am the next morning and Elite scheduled a tech to come out that afternoon. The tech was very friendly and answered my many questions and had our AC up and running in 30 minutes. Jennifer the office administrator couldn't of been more helpful and professional in the whole process from start to finish. I had a remodel which required 3 new units and all new ducting. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly in conducting the work. We had a semi-urgent situation where he was able to assess the root issue and provide a temporary fix on a Sunday afternoon. By Tuesday, he returned with the needed parts to completely remedy the situation, and we have a comfortable and properly cooled/heated home again. All costs were reasonable, and Joe was great! Will call Elite for any future needs.

Because of his expertise and experience, before he arrived Justin, already had a good idea of what the problem was and brought the part to fix it. He confirmed his diagnosis of the issue and fixed it, explaining both the solution and the cost. He also documented on the hot water heater what had been done, for future reference. Elite had the best ratings online which is why they were the first company I called when my AC stopped working. Chris the estimator was out the next day doing a diagnostic and sent me a quote same day. W After getting quotes from other companies, elite was the obvious choice. Great customer service from the entire staff at Elite. The evaluation/diagnostic appointment was followed by the appropriate repairs. Both were coordinated by Jennifer quickly to accommodate our schedule. Kudos to Ryan the diagnostic tech for trouble shooting our issues! All technicians arrived as scheduled, were polite, and followed up verbally with an explanation of repairs which were completed. Summer in Austin can easily become "Too Hot" without a dependable HVAC company like Elite.

Don't know what they're doing. Charged $757 to NOT fix my wine cellar's cooling unit. Then bid $11,757 to replace the unit. Took their description and got a bid for $3,200, but instead the second bidder replaced the compressor and it works perfectly. Charge was $1275, 89% less than Elite wanted to charge. The "Elite" experience was actually worse than described, but you get the idea.

Alex does a great job of selling systems. The installation crew did a great job, they were polite and wore masks the entire time. Elite's follow-up was and is lacking. I had to call multiple times about assistance with my rebate applications and to correct my quote (I had decided on a thermostat that was different in the original quote). I also had to follow up to get a receipt. Don't companies usually provide a receipt?

All I had was an incorrect quote until I asked for a receipt. That was odd. When I followed up with their office about the receipt, corrected quote and rebate application (Alex told me he would call but did not), I mentioned one bedroom was not cooling properly. I asked multiple times during installation if my duct work was satisfactory and was told it was.

They even made the return larger. Afterward, one of the two bedrooms was still five degrees hotter than the other, even though they are 10 feet apart across from each other. I was told they would call the following week to send someone out to evaluate it. I told them I had specifically told Alex to check the duct work prior to installation because that room had never cooled properly.

They did not call the following week, they did not call, at all. Poor service. Poor follow-up. Poor service by not calling when they promised they would. Many companies sell Trane units. I wish I had gone with another one. If you want a new HVAC unit, I guess they're okay, but if you expect good service and follow-up, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Our AC unit was only blowing hot air. Phoned elite they were here within a few hours. They evaluated the inside and outside units, saw that the wires had been cut with the weed wacker. Alex was great! We are first time homebuyers and wanted our furnace system checked out to make sure everything is functioning well and to learn how to maintain it. Loved this company in the beginning, especially Ryan who is 100% reliable, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Unfortunately I had an ac problem and had a different technician. I questioned his diagnosis and cancelled the work order. Upon calling them back to request price and reorder of service, this tech Never Called Back. 100% unacceptable. Bye-bye.

New company doing twice the work this person recommended for same price. Nope. Update: received a great call from Elite, totally apologizing and even indicating the person in question no longer worked there. I personally should have contacted the company sooner. Great group of people. I will definitely use them again. 5 star

He was able to diagnose the problem quickly, had the part with him, and had the unit running again within half an hour. Even though it was after 5pm, he fully serviced the unit at my request, since we didn't want to chance something else going wrong with Summer in full swing.

I purchased a package of two complete maintenance services, one for now and one for later, at a 15% discount and he also applied the discount to my repair. I felt the price was already really reasonable. I was super happy with the service and I will be using Elite from now on.

Our experince with Elite Air was wonderful. We had struggled with our home Air Conditioning situation for years. Our bills were sky high and our unit did not work efficiently. We called Elite Air and Kyle Bacon was amazing! He was full of information and experience. Kyle came to our house and did a VERY thorough evaluation of our system and the duct work.

He offered different options for us knowing that our money was tight. We chose to get a new unit, new reconfigured duct work and new air intake vents. We have lived in this house for 7 years and our AC has never been this COOL and our bills this LOW. even on 100 degree days here in Austin! I cannot say enough good things about the entire process. The job was finished ahead of schedule.

The men worked so hard to get it done and I hardly new they were here each day. They also left my house spotless each time they left. I have been recommending Elite Air to all of my friends and will continue to do so. There are NO games or gimmicks.just good HONEST service and communication! THANK YOU ELITE AIR! A/C went out earlier this week, and Greg was my service tech. He was on time for scheduled appt, called ahead to let me know on his way, and one of the most professional, knowledgeable, and personable folks I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He started troubleshooting right away and worked diligently to determine precisely what was causing my outage.

After replacing several components in the process of elimination, it was determined that the 19 year old unit was indeed done for good. Greg promptly got on the phone to get my unit replaced as quickly as possible. While he's on a much deserved break this Saturday morning, I trust him when he says his #1 crew of Angel & Hector will provide the same high level of service that he would. Fingers crossed I've got a working A/C when I update y'all about the installation! Update: Angel, Frank, and Kevin arrived on-time and got to work straight away! They've given me an estimate of 3 hours, so here's hoping for a nice and cool Caturday afternoon!

Elite Heating A/c installed three air-conditioners and a wine chiller into our wine cellar when we remodeled our home. The installation process went very smoothly. We did have a few issues with the units and received pushback when it came to serving them as we are about an hour from Austin. Chris (one of the owners) got involved everything was handled beautifully.

This is clearly a company that takes pride in it's outstanding reputation and is willing to go the extra mile (literally) to maintain its high standards. I would definitely recommend them.

I was a customer with Elite for 2 years. I was pretty much pleased with them until my thermostat stopped working. I just had Elite over to do the heater check that Friday and noticed on Mon when I turned the AC up that the thermostat (not battery operated) is blank/not working. I called Elite at 7:30am spoke with a man and he said he would try to get someone out.

When 12 noon and no call, I called them back and spoke with a lady and she said I was 6th in line and that she would give me a call later. Well here it is after 5pm no call nothing and this is 88 degrees and humid in Oct. At this point I was starting to panic. I called another company after 5pm they had someone over by 7pm and my AC was back and running by 7:30pm.

It would have been totally ok if Elite would have said they weren't going to be able to make it, so I could have tried to get different company over sooner. But no they dragged it out all day and I had to keep contacting them to get a status. Not to mention that I had someone out Friday and they didn't see a problem. Oh the other company just had to flush a hose out and the AC started working again. It looks like I will be moving to the other company.

Still wondering where my quote is. Jason responded to my email request within a couple of hours on a Sunday, and I thought Elite was on top of things. He came out on time and took measurements, pics, etc. That was Tues. Asked if he could have his bid by Friday, and he said no problem. That was the last I heard from him. Called their office 10 days later, left my name and number to what sounded like a frat party in the background. Again, no response to my call. Cannot recommend. Recently moved back to Austin.

Our experience with Elite, and specifically Jason Goodman, was better than anything we could have hoped for. We originally tried to go through the HVAC service our insurance told us to go through, but I decided to do some research before committing. I put in a request on Elite's website on a Saturday and Jason called me almost immediately. We spoke on the phone for a good while about what I was dealing with and Jason gave me an idea of what Elite could do.

He quickly got me a quote (that was cheaper than the other HVAC company!) and I generally felt much better about doing business with his team. I told Jason that it's our first home and that our budget is tight, so we didn't need the best unit in the world, just something that would be good quality but lower end in pricing. Jason was very honest about the options and didn't try to push anything on us at all.

Elite seemed like a trustworthy local business whereas the other one just didn't feel quite right.

Jason got one of his guys to come out that same week to look at the unit in person (I can't remember his name, but he was also a really friendly, helpful guy). Not only did they get us a great unit for a great price, but they even got their team to come out and install on a weekend with no extra charge!

The guys who did the actual installation were friendly and professional, and Jason always was nice enough to answer my calls or emails throughout the process. After the whole thing was completed, Jason followed up to make sure everything went well.

Overall, we're so happy we went with Elite. Jason is awesome and we highly recommend them for your HVAC troubles in this insane Texas weather!!

I called Elite for a quote and they sent me several. Jason was very patient with me and answered all of my questions (contacted him several times) And instead of trying to up sell me, he made recommendations based on my needs not trying to sell me the most expensive unit. So far my experience has been excellent. I will follow up once the unit is installed.

It's a tough pill to swallow; finding out the house you just bought needs a complete A/C system replacement. It is expensive, but Elite had great pricing compared to others (and verified by my dad - a contractor). We not only replaced the units, but we replaced the old damaged ductwork and installed a dual zone system with an added thermostat. We could not be happier with the result! Kyle, Jason and the rest of the Elite team made sure that, other than the fact that we had to pay for it, this was an excellent experience, with really prompt response time, and we are very excited about our all new system, and we couldn't imagine this house without the separate thermostat upstairs.

I recently used Elite AC and signed up for their Bi-annual home servicing. My experience was great from my first phone call to inquire about pricing. Alice was very friendly and helpful and emailed me back as she said she would that same day. Ryan was my HVAC tech that came out and was very knowledgable and professional. He showed up on time and even wore booties over his shoes as a professional courtesy.

It took about an hour or so and he answered any questions I had. My stepdad is an HVAC tech in Arizona so he gave me a list of questions to ask and Ryan answered all of them. I would highly recommend Elite and will also recommend to all of my neighbors!

Kyle and his Elite AC team are the best. I have had a lot of HVACs installed through the years and these guys cannot be beat in quality or cost. One simple example are the copper connections. They use all the proper fittings! I can't tell you how many times I've seen companies pinch together copper tubing and weld it without fittings. Also, the plenums were attached airtight to the units. There was no skimping on mastic where necessary. There are lots of little things I notice and these guys covered all the bases! Thanks, Elite AC!

These people are the BEST! They set up the HVAC system- soup to nuts- in my new custom built home. Did a great job within a very, very open, crazy modern home. No attic/no basement /very few walls equals real need for pros. To the point, though: I initially chose the level of unit/blower/motor, within a budget that I barely understood. In a house with few walls. YIKES!

I had too much noise. Whoops- time to "fix". Kyle and his staff worked with me, bit by bit, on the solutions. They started with the least expensive, least invasive first, and then we all moved forward from there. Not a long process, but they were very patient. In the end? I ended up buying a new motor/blower that I should have chosen in the first place.

My fault, not theirs, and yet? Oh. My. Kyle was ridiculously fair on the price, and? We have quiet, quiet, QUIET! And a good tip- at that point I was "off contract". They treated me right not because of my contractor, but because that's what they do. A wonderful, respectful crew who took great pains to protect our floors when they came out to install the newly chosen unit.

A company owner who seems to completely embrace that he's going to be here through "thick and thin" in the Austin TX area. Choose Elite Heating and Air Conditioning, and don't look back.

I am a general contractor, and I have worked with the people involved in this company since 2007. Kyle was initially with another company and worked with me and all of my clients. I was very excited when you decided to go out on his own. Not only do they do a top-notch job on new installations, I have been able to refer them for service work to many others. His workers are friendly, knowledgeable clean up after themselves...which is a big plus in my book. I highly recommend elite heating and air-conditioning.
