After dealing with 2 lousy companies I'll refrain from naming, Irish stepped in to save the day. We ran into one hurdle which they had no power over and they still did an amazing job figuring out the best solution. We were extremely pleased with their service and are totally in love with the product. If we encounter any other issues Irish will be our first call, I recommend them to anyone who does t want to waste time.

This company has been the WORST to deal with. They installed TWO smart thermostats for us for $165. Both would run and blow cold air, but then WOULD NOT shut off! We would even turn the thermostat to off and it would continue to blow and blow. I called them to come back out and fix it and I had to wait a week and a half. (Ok, fine. That's annoying but I get it).

Within that week, nothing would shut off and ended up blowing a fuse in one of our air conditioners. So we replaced it and still waited on Irish Heating and Air. A week goes by and they ask if they can move up my appointment by a couple days. I tell them I work that day, but I'll put in a request to get off early and we'll make it work. That day rolls around (I have a half day I put in for) and they call and ask if they can come early because they're a head of schedule and their tech wants to go home.

What the heck? I said no, we talked about this and they needed to come at the scheduled window. They said sorry then we're going to have to cancel. Ummmm. What!? So then I said ok, give me back my Friday appointment. They said they were full and couldn't! So at this point I said I want my money back. This is ridiculous and we'll find someone else.

So the lady puts in a request to the sink manager. TWO weeks go by, they won't answer my calls, they won't return my voicemails etc. I finally call off someone else's phone, they answer! They said my request was declined because the thermostats were working when installed and it must be a thermostat issue. REALLY? TWO faulty thermostats?

No way! And no, he only checked for cold air. not if they turned off. asked to speak to the manager (like I originally asked for) and now I can't because she's on maternity leave. So I put in a request for the owner, a week has gone by, and still no returned phone call. Just called again, of course they didn't answer. Lastly, they keep trying to say another company came out and switched my thermostats when it Was my husband since their installation blew out one of my units!

I agree that we shouldn't have touched it but it was extenuating circumstances since the integrity of both our AC systems were at stake. Since they couldn't get out there in a timely manner, what would they have had us do? A reputable company would come back out and fix the problem. They would have known all this If they called me back. These people are TERRIBLE! **UPDATE** I messaged the owner before all this to try and give him the benefit of the doubt, and now they're trying to say I harassed them. I have had the pleasure of using Irish Heating and Air for the last year of so to service our HVAC. (2 visit) 1 for thermostat and 1 for the unit having a hard water issue. Both times the tech was on time or early, calling ahead to ask if early would be ok. They're techs come with the proper PPE, they look responsible and well dressed-they communicate and are very educational, respectful and helpful at their visits.

Both times they were able to fix the problem with ease. They always ask before they leave if there has been any other trouble with the unit, which I found to be throrough. Amazing customer service is hard to find these days and I find this company to be exceptional.

I had previously had Irish Heating & Air replace my entire AC house system and was very happy with the entire process. Recently I had them install a mini split system in my garage shop. Ryan came out to see what exactly I needed and give me a quote. He was friendly, professional and very, very knowledgeable. A week later, the install crew showed up exactly on time.

Again very friendly and professional. The work was completed the same day (even though they had to go get another unit as the one they brought has some shipping damage). I couldn't be happier with the entire process and love that my shop is now as cool as I want it to be.

Irish H and A installed a split ductless ac system in our house. Jesus and Pilot, confident, intelligent, very pleasant and hard working young men, did an excellent job installing two ceiling cassette units with minimum disruption to the house. They made sure that no dust was released while cutting the plaster ceiling, and cleaned up after each day of work.

The electrician who joined them on day two was very knowledgeable and was able to run the electrical line to the second storey without exposing any wires to the outside. Ryan Ferry, who provided the estimate, visited the site on three occasions to deliver parts and to make sure that the work was done per plan. We highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

Found them on Yelp and Irish was responsive and offered competitive pricing. They showed up on time, were polite and professional, and went the extra mile to do an install on the more difficult (but less visible) side of our house. Big kudos to "Pilot" for coming through! Highly recommended, these are stand up people!

6 Stars if that was allowed! We just finished a 3 day installation of a 3-Unit Mini-Split system with a single wall mounted condenser. I reviewed several providers but Irish Heat and Air were both the best price and came highly recommended by our electrician. Jesus and Pilot completed the installation and we could not be more happy with the service or the end product. Throughout, they took great care to ensure there was no dust and they were very considerate with respect to Covid precautions (wearing masks and social distancing).

The end result has far exceeded my expectations both in terms of the cooling, low noise and exceptionally neat installation. Last point - Ryan Ferry visited to inspect before the install and they on day two to make sure we were pleased with how it was all going.

I bought my smart thermostat from Amazon for $80 and called Irish Heating and Air conditioning to install it. The installation supposed to be very simple all they need was to connect the C wire and my conduncer was up on my deck so that was the reason I didnt want to do it anyway this company asked me to pay around $250 to install it. $65 or more to come and check it and rest for installation. Very unaffordable.

The staff at Irish Heating and air conditioning are awesome. I called them today morning and they gave a same day appointment. Rubin and Ozzi were able to come in and replace my thermostat to a Nest quickly and professionally at a good price. Will not use any other company in Tracy for now - highly recommended.

Owner's rebuttal to my review for them not honoring their work isn't even close to what happened, so I guess that also makes him a liar. I've got several screenshots of our conversations. I've called about 5 times to speak with the owner, but he refuses to return any of my calls. Honestly I've never even spoken to him on the phone, because he refuses to call me back. I guess I can start sharing screenshots.

Office communication leaves much to be desired, but they were polite. Pricing is a little high, but not too bad. Tech came, but no documentation on what was found, what was done and/or if there are any recommendations. Says they checked the wiring, but I already knew the wiring was undersized and have plans to change it out. Tech said all was good except for dirty filters. Asked for call back to review options. Never happened.

Wow! These guys are the best! I've been researching for an HVAC replacement and wanted to install a VRF system from Mitsubishi. It was hard to find a certified re-seller and installer in our area, I found Irish Heating and Air via Mitsubishi site but they are all the way out in central valley. I reached out to them anyway and to my surprise, they are willing to travel all the way to Hayward.

We agreed on a MVZ/PVA (heat pump and air handler) setup to retrofit with our existing rigid duct work. These guys were on time and was on-site for 12hrs to install the system. The system got us through the summer and the coldest winter in memory with plenty of capacity to spare.

Irish Air has been great in fixing every AC issue that has come up for us, on our primary residence & rental properties. Ryan is very personable and down to earth and knows how to manage the situation to get the problem fixed as soon as possible. These are honest people. This alone is enough for me to hire them but given the fact that they did a superb job of putting two 4 tons on my home in 2 days and leaving a clean attic tops the scale. Ryan is a man of his word. In addition to that, it shows he cares more on the job being done than its monetary gains. Jesus and Martin are like boy scouts!

They never failed to impress me. Not only did I feel they never took their jobs for granted but they made sure everything is working and in perfect condition before leaving. If you are looking for an HVAC company, look no further. 7 companies came to my house before them. Although the price they quoted are competitive, Its their work ethics that left the others in the dust.

I had an hvac system installed in my home in April 2017. I had issues with this company right from the start. I was unable to get a hold of them to schedule the completion of the install when I purchased my home. When I finally got them on the phone they scheduled me for a Saturday appointment to finish the install. They never showed up. A few weeks later when I had some free time to call them, they said they had scheduling issues.

Which in my opinion, doesn't excuse them never calling to apologize or reschedule. The technicians that finished the install made a hole in my drywall which they didn't offer to fix. I overlooked it and fixed it myself. When winter came around the heating system was not working properly. I called them for the warranty. They sent someone over to fix it.

The tech found that the original installers did poor work on the install. It has now been a year since it was installed and now the AC is not working. When I called them for the warranty, they scheduled me for an appointment. The technician showed up an hour early and expected someone to be home. I explained that my appointment was not for another hour and no one would be home til then.

I then called to reschedule the appointment and they told me that they would be charging a service fee due to me missing my first appointment. Which I did not miss, because the tech showed up an hour early. When I tried to explain that to them they brushed me off and pretty much told me to seek repairs elsewhere. I will be submitting a complaint to the department of consumer affairs against this company. I hope that people read this and it will prevent them from seeking service from this unprofessional company.

My AC is not blowing cold air, I called them and their technician came, after about an hour and a half he tried to turn on the compressor and it sparked and shorted. He then replaced the capacitor, contact and delay because he said it was his fault. Then they still took my money and said that it was done but still my AC is still not working. I insisted on them to come back and fix the AC.

The technician came back the next day but again he blew out and shorted the same parts. The technician even called the owner itself and he was instructed to just give my money back and they said that the whole condenser unit needs to be replaced. I called another company and they said that the Irish Heating And Air Technician rewired the system wrong that's why it's grounded.

My AC is working now and all it needs is a wall thermostat. Now im trying to call them to pay for the parts they burned, they said that their work is done and they are trying to avoid my calls and they even said don't call them anymore. STAY WAY FROM THIS COMPANY! The reviews here are two years ago, it just a SHAME that you want to settle the issue in good faith and this is how they treat you.

My AC was not working, I have a old system, I called Irish Heating and air to schedule a appointment, they scheduled me next day, the technician was very professional, and polite, explain me the problem and gave me reasonable price. my system is up and running great. I called them late on a Saturday over the holiday weekend and was happy to learn they could see me early Sunday morning. The technician arrived wearing a company shirt and promptly got my AC unit up and running. He walked me through what he was doing and went over costs prior to performing any procedures.

The air conditioning in my house stopped working on Saturday - The temperature inside quickly rose to 81 degrees. I called Irish Heating & Air and spoke to a very nice woman who said they'd send someone out between 3 and 5 that day. I asked what the charge was for "emergency call on the weekend" and she said there wasn't one! SOLD! The tech showed up right at 3. Crawled up in the attic, tested a part, said it had failed. Replaced the part and the AC was back up and running within minutes.

One of the things I liked the best was the standard pricing. No hidden costs anywhere - it is what it is! That is awesome. I would highly recommend Irish and plan to use them myself from now on as well.

If giving no stars were an option, I would have gone with that. Our AC went out during the recent "heat wave" of June 2017. My husband was sent a text message stating that someone would be at our house at 2pm. I rushed out of my teaching job in order to be home by the stated time. Nothing. No one arrived at our house until 5:30pm! I understand that the worker could have been held up because it was a hot week, but a courtesy text would have been nice. Later, we found out that the company itself was under the impression that their worker did make it on time. Looks like their worker is dishonest and failed to admit they were not on time.

After the worker finally arrived, he began to tell my husband that he would add more free-on to our AC system. That was mistake number 2. The wrong free-on was added. Our AC system is from the early 2000s. It should not have received "newer" model free-on (we found out this was done wrong after consulting with the company that fixes AC systems through COSTCO. I'm in the bedroom (just near our AC system) listening as the worker tells my husband that the free-on may not work and that we may have a leak.

My husband's response, "can you find the leak?". The worker's response, "I don't have the tools with me". Really? You work on AC systems and you go to homes without the proper tools?! Also, the worker put on the receipt that he spent 2 hours at our home "working" on AC. That is a ridiculous lie. All he did was add the incorrect free-on and left.

That minuscule task takes 2 hours?! Ya right. The company has failed to respond to our request of compensation for the incorrect labor fee. Overall, this company is a sham. They fail to hold their workers accountable and they themselves after being informed of grievances, fail to accept accountability. Save yourself the trouble and go with Home Depot or Costco. It is a shame that companies like this make customers second guess ever choosing to hire "family owned" businesses.

I called about my AC problem, they told me that they have diagnostic charge. When the technician arrives the following day and found out that the problem is the capacitor, I told him that Im still under warranty, which she referred me to a lady, she told me that she doesn't know about the warranty process and its her husband who knows, which was not around that time.

Its too hot and Im helpless, I let them fix the problem and paid the whole amount hoping they are professional enough to process the claim. If I don't pay them, my AC will not be fixed, or else, according to the technician, he will be charged with that amount. I called them the following day, many times, when the lady called back, she told me that they will not process the claim. Its also difficult to contact them, always voice mail. If they call back, you can barely understand her. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER contact this company.

I've been using Irish for close to 5 years now. At first when I tried him I had heard good things but I could never rely on that until I had my own experience. Sure enough the reviews and feedback I had heard/seen were correct. I quickly started sharing Irish with friends and family and realized his team was honest and reliable. In the past few years he has done service calls, a entire unit replacement, and seasonal services for my family. 5/8/2017 i called twice. answering machine, could not understand lady on the answering machine. left brief message and phone number. 5/10/2017 still no call back. TRULY PEOPLE DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS! they need to really rethink their idea of service and call back time. i would never call again. no call back no job for them.

They have earned our loyalty! They were very prompt at responding to our request for a service call, less than 20 mins after we sent the request they had contacted us back to schedule. Very professional and polite, and very knowledgeable. Our AC unit is 20+ yrs old and running in its last leg, so when it went out this past weekend my husband and I thought we would have to replace it. Ryyan fixed it, and instead of trying to get us to purchase a new unit, said he believes we can get another 1-2 summers out of it. Very honest guy, clearly cares about what is best for his customers, not his wallet. Thank you!

This is the first time we used Ireland because our former HVAC company decided to remain only in the plumbing business. They suggested we use Ireland so we thought we'd give them a try. On a very hot weekend day one of our 3 air conditioning units sopped working. Ireland came out promptly, evaluated the problem, and returned the next day with the parts needed and restored the unit to full service. So, we only had one bad 95 degree night of sleeping in the cool basement and family room downstairs. Timely, customer-oriented, didn't try to sell us something we didn't need, and very competent. We were very pleased but they are more expensive than many of their competitors.
