We are new homeowners navigating an AC outage during the hottest week yet. We only had to wait 48 hours for a technician to be on-site. Our technician, Alan, was great. He was kind, efficient, and most importantly took the time to explain what he was doing, what needed repair, and went above and beyond his service ask by educating us about our specific system.
He provided his personal recommendations for filters and humidifier pads and helped me locate them via Amazon. He also helped me think about maintenance. He didn't try to sell us on anything so much as educate and I'm leaving feeling confident I can tackle our HVAC needs rather than pushing them to my husbands plate. In the end our repair was as simple as a new piece of equipment from our smart home service, but Alan bypassed our broken thermostat in the interim to make sure we had AC while we are waiting for a replacement thermostat. We are grateful and will be repeat customers.

My furnace was experiencing some issues, so I decided to call someone for a maintenance/repair visit and decided on Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor from their stellar reviews. I was assigned a time slot and had multiple notifications/calls to confirm! Alan found the issue with my furnace in just a few minutes and helped me set everything back up. He was wonderfully knowledgeable and pleasant throughout the visit, even recommending a few things I could do to properly maintain my system. I can't recommend them & Alan enough! We moved from the city to Elmhurst and were thrilled that HVAC Repair Doctor was able to service us out here too. They are dependable, honest, and happy to help even in a pinch. The AC in the house we moved into died and was not worth trying to repair. They came out and offered a fair deal on replacing it and replaced it same day! From the beginning I was very satisfied with our experience. I was able to call, get a quote (while other companies did not return our calls or were less than transparent). Scheduling was very easy, and we received a reminder the day before. On the day of, Alan came out to service and clean my boiler. He and the crew called in advance and showed up on time.
He walked me through the initial inspection, pointed out potential concerns, and detailed the work to be done. In addition, he was able to answer my questions about our radiators and how to do proper in home maintenance on them. The work was completed efficiently and to our satisfaction. I can't recommend this service enough.

What a great experience! All of the staff I spoke to from scheduling through the service were friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. The maintenance visit showed a couple of needs, but there was no pressure or scare tactics to oversell it like many companies who see an older unit try. The technician clearly explained what the issues were, and I especially appreciate that transparency.
I was able to schedule the technician to return the very next day to take care of those issues, with no additional service fee since it was within a week of the quote. I will definitely continue using Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor to maintain and eventually replace my unit.

The team at Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor was amazing. We scheduled our yearly check with them and quickly found an issue with our our furnace (it wouldn't turn on). They sent out a senior repair/install guy to take a closer look (they did not charge me for the first visit). He was able to band aid the furnace, and said it wouldn't last long. While we were debating fixing vs new install, the furnace started acting up again (2 days after).
We decided to just a get a new furnace. With our furnace not working on a cooler day, we were worried it might take a week or so to get someone in. Our AC was not cooling very well and recently it started to make high pitch noise. We called Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor and Rafael responded quickly. He visited us the first day and the second day he got the parts and came to do the repair. He replaced the motor and replenished the refrigerant. The AC is running smoothly now and it cools very well! Rafael is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. He explains things clearly and he really cares customers. I highly recommend him.

Boiler stopped working this morning. Noticed when got home from work, contacted the office & they responded quickly, very last minute but got my boiler up in running winging the hour, technician did maintenance on it, recommend a few parts, was very knowledgeable. I am beyond impressed with the level of service, knowledge and quality work from Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor. Our technician was Alan. He was respectful, knowledgeable and went above and beyond my expectations. I scheduled them for service to my AC and to inspect a squeaky noise coming from a vent. He cleaned the AC throughly (I don’t remember anyone ever doing that before).
He indicated it was full of debris from trees. He identified the squeaky noise and corrected it. He noticed a humidifier hose was lose and took care of that as well. He even pointed out an issue with my boiler. This is the first time I hire them and I will definitely call them back every year for AC and furnace maintenance and whenever need it. I will highly recommend them. Thank you so much.

These guys are really good and I'm really happy I found them. Alan came by yesterday to do a maintenance check on my AC unit and did a great job. I really liked that he took his time and answered all my questions (some were stupid !!!) and also gave me some options for my refrigerant which I need some more of. Yesterday started out bad woke up to gas smell call gas people they made us sit in the car for a bit find out 3 gas valves had to be replaced and gas was leaking in house but God kept us! So Regina Washington called her gas company to find out she wasn't covered to repair the leak she was very upset but called a friend who in return said don't worry i will send someone to take care of it and he did.

Erick, the service technician, was very thorough in cleaning and inspecting my 25 year old furnace. He answered all my questions and concerns regarding what I could expect as far as repair versus replacement. I never felt pressured to buy any additional service or equipment- very refreshing. Rafael was great! He came out late at night, stayed until the job was done, work looks great and a relatively permanent fix (different outfit came out to fix the same leak a few months ago and did a shoddy job that lasted just a few months). I wish I could give a 5 star plus ranking. Ever since I purchased my 3rd floor walk up condo 6 years ago, finding HVAC repair persons who are familiar with rooftop combo units has been difficult. This was made even more difficult recently when our prior go-to repair person semi-retired. For those of you who are are not aware - finding an HVAC repair person who is knowledgeable when it comes to residential rooftop units is difficult to say the least.
It's even more difficult to find one who understands the process of replacing this type of unit. Chicago HVAC repair doctor has this knowledge and expertise and did a fantastic job replacing our 31 year old unit. Their knowledge of the different types of units and what would fit our existing footprint even allowed us to opt for a factory modification rather than a pricey curb adapter.
Their knowledge and expertise ended up saving me approximately $3,000.
Further, they were prompt and did a very good job of keeping me in the loop on the status of the replacement (because of the factory modification, it took a bit longer than usual to receive the new unit). They have also been super responsive. I plan on using them for my annual service in the future.

My husband and I came home late Saturday night to find the AC blowing cool, but not cold air. We were lucky enough to have Rafael come out the next day, a Sunday afternoon, addressed an electrical failure, and installed the part the very next day. We weren't able to be home, and offered to take off Tuesday to be home for the install, but he didn't want us to be without AC any longer than needed.

My air conditioner decided to break down on one of the hottest days. I reached out to Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor based on there good ratings and being a local company I gave them a call. Erica was the person who answered the phone and was extremely helpful and made setting up an appointment easy. The technician they sent was knowledgeable and explained what went wrong with my air conditioner and gave me helpful tips on up keeping my air conditioner and furnace. This is so simple..... IF you have a HVAC issue this is where you go in Chicago. Period. Unbelievable service, integrity and a level of professionalism that is too often lost in today's world.
