Collins heating and cooling has helped my family out multiple times in the last eight months. As one example, my wife and I recently bought a house in the area that has had quite a few "hidden" problems to include needing a completely new furnace right as winter started. We called around to a few local HVAC companies and Collins heating and cooling were the only ones to answer immediately and arrive that same day.
By the time every other HVAC business called us back our problem was already identified and scheduled to have a complete new furnace put in merely days later. Mark is responsive, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable and not to mention personable. My wife and I recommend this business to everyone we know.

I called out a company (who will remain nameless) for a furnace cleaning because they were offering a special rate. From the moment the technician opened the furnace door he was painting a picture of gloom and doom and proceeded to tell me I needed a new furnace, along with multiple additional changes, and gave me a frightening price for the work required.
I called Collins Heating & Cooling and they came out the next day.what a breath of fresh air. The technician in this case happened to be the owner and he performed detailed diagnostics, talked me through the issues and options, and allowed me to make a choice with no pressure. In the end I decided to change out my furnace and the total price was a fraction of what the first company wanted to charge me, for the exact same furnace.
Two days later I had a perfectly functioning, new furnace. Plus, the owner, Mark, didn't charge me for his hours of diagnostic work, and he fixed my humidifier, which had been out for several years, for free. They far exceeded my expectations and restored my faith in the meaning of customer service. Going forward I will never use any heating and cooling company other than Collins.

Highly, highly recommend Collins Heating and Cooling! Mark is an exceptional contractor and businessman. He is passionate about what he does, explains everything to you so you can understand, and cares about your safety. We needed a new furnace, & ended up purchasing a new furnace and air conditioner from him, as the furnace/ac were 20 plus yrs old.
I called him on a Monday morning, explained to him the unfortunate horrible experience we had with a Nipsco ESP contractor a few day prior, and he made the time to come to our home a few hours later. Which impressed me, because this was a full, busy day for him. We will only use him from here on out for all our heating/ac needs. If you're looking for a friendly, honest, knowledgeable contractor than Collins Heating and Cooling is our recommendation! Thank You Again Mark!!!

Called last minute and Mark came out and helped us out. Was pretty late in my opinion (7:30pm) and he showed up close to 8PM. Fixed what was needed and will come back for a A/C tune up. Highly recommend him! Our A/C we found out is almost 20 years old and is still going. No need to replace just yet. Go to him for any needs!!

When my mom's furnace went out, I started calling around to find someone who could replace hers. I ordered her two space heaters to help while we waited to get someone. I live in Ohio so I was calling blind. Mark responded to my call immediately and he worked with me and all of what I asked him to do without any hesitation. My mother is very hard to please and she absolutely loved him.
He was professional, courteous, and quite timely. His price was more than fair and he had the furnace replaced and working before she even got the space heaters!! Mark was very professional and super friendly. He explained clearly what was causing our thermostat to malfunction. I ended up having him come back to install a humidifier on the furnace so our skin doesn't itch so much in the winter. Mark has a real passion for his job, charges reasonable rates, and he gives great restaurant recommendations too!

Ive dealt with several guys who were suppose to be professionals at heating and cooling and not one of them knew what they were doing until i met mark. Came out to install our new furnace after we discovered a gas leak on our very old furnace, it needed to be replaced and he recommend a great solid product and was very prompt and courteous. Our furnace was acting up, or so we thought it was the furnace, and looked on this site to find a repair company. We (family, parents) have been burned before with bogus repairs, cleanings, unneeded sensors and didn't know who to trust. Collins H & C is a company we will deal with from now on.
