Energy-Star Services, Inc. installed our Ductless AC unit and we're super excited to use it. Let me first begin with the sales associate, Tom Foy, he was very personable and knowledgeable about the system he was selling us and provided us with excellent customer service beyond the installation. Artie, the Ofc Mngr, also provided excellent customer service when it came to scheduling the installation of our unit and was very friendly.

The technicians, Brandon, Dave and Josh were very professional while performing the installation. They cleaned as they went along inside and outside the house and showed us how to work the units. We couldn't be more happier with the choice that we made with Energy-Star. It's hard to find great customer service regardless of the amount of money that you're spending and Energy-Star gave us just that.

Do NOT use this company. I called to have someone come take a look at my furnace, as the heat wasn't working. The first service tech told me my igniter needed to be replaced for a few hundred dollars. He also suggested that I replace the entire unit because it appeared to be from 2000 or 2007. This would cost closer to $9,000, and I said I would take it into advisement but I wanted to work on the immediate solution.

After he left, a Google search and the unit serial number confirmed that the unit was from 2020 (when I was told the system was replaced by the previous owner). Two days later a different service tech came out, seemingly with no prior knowledge of what I had been told. I believed he was going to replace the igniter, but he said he needed to take a second look at things.

This time, I was told that the circuit board wasn't working. This part would need to be ordered and someone would call me when it came in to schedule install. I followed up multiple times in the next week to get an update on progress. I first spoke with the operations manager Josh, who repeated that the part was on order. He also said that my system was not installed up to manufacturer specifications. Again, I requested to deal with the immediate fix.

I called two more times later that week and was told that Josh was not available, but someone would give me a call back. A week and a half later, I have not heard from anyone. I had another company come out who quickly identified that the issue was with the exhaust pipe on my roof and they were able to resolve things that day and get my heat up and running. I only paid Energy Star Services about $60, and I regret every penny.

Called these people out for my old heater, but it was obvious the the technician had no clue and did not want to fix it. he went right into a sales pitch to sell me a new system, instead of picking up the part they sent a salesman out to sell me a new unit because they thought they could Panic me into a new system, I then called the original company the installed it, they came out cleaned good, replaced the filters and nozzle and its working fine. Call Reit before you call these hustlers

Energy Star was amazing from beginning to end. They were efficient in explaining everything and my options. The install and service team were on time and clean. The service from this company started out great I purchased a heat and cooling system. They were prompt with installing but after I made the final payment they told me they didn't hook up the heating system and they would in September, I purchased everything in July. September came and went and they still haven't completed the work of connecting my heating system. Now they giving me the run around and not responding.

Rob, Josh and Brandon were excellent. These guys came in and did a great job installing the high velocity system along with a heat pump. The system so far has been operating smoothly. I do apologize for submitting my comments so late but last year was a year to forget (due to COVID and other aspects). Regardless, I recommend energystar without reservation and the price I got for the service was competitive and fair. I believe Rob even showed me how to bleed all my house radiators to make the heating of our home more effective. Thanks again.

My furnace went out on a single digit temperature day on a Friday in January a couple of years ago. Had a maintenance guy from EnergyStar Services come out on a Friday afternoon and diagnose the issue. He determined that the inducer motor had gone bad and needed to be replaced. He quoted me at $560 for the part and labor to replace, plus he said they wouldn't be able to get the part until Monday or Tuesday, meaning no heat for 3 full days in frigid temperatures.

I declined. I went online and found I could purchase an aftermarket part for $45 or the OEM part for $95, plus I was able to overnight it and get it on my doorstep at 8am the next morning. I replaced the part myself because there was no hard-wiring involved, it had a female-to-male connecter, so the replacement literally took 2 minutes by unscrewing the old one and replacing it with the new one and plugging it in.

Not only was EnergyStar Services going to upcharge me on the part by over 5x it's value (more than $400 markup), they were willing to let me sit in a freezing house for 3 days to do so. The fact that I was able to find a wildly cheaper and faster alternative in about 15 mins with a quick google search tells me everything I need to know about the integrity of this company. Edit: The response from the owner just proves my point even further.

They are "professionals" yet a simple non-professional like me can source an OEM part 60 hours faster than them for a fraction of the cost. Completely didn't address why I was quoted $400 above the retail price available to anyone with a computer and internet connection, or why I needed to sit in a cold house for 3 days to wait for said part. Also, bad experiences never expire and customers never forget, so it doesn't matter that I submitted this review 2 years later. Maybe take a look in the mirror and acknowledge an opportunity to provide better customer service instead of countering a bad review with bad talking points.

Rob, Dave and Josh were PHENOMENAL and took care of our A/C right away. They replaced a noisy and aging split-ductless system for us and right-sized it for our home. Now we have clean, quiet cooling and heat at a great price with parts included for years to come. Could not be happier with the level of professionalism, quality, and service from Energy-Star Services. I will recommend them highly to everyone looking for HVAC needs. Fantastic job and exceptional service morning, noon and night.

Josh and Rob were professionals and experts at their craft. They made sure the work was done to the customer satisfaction. they took extra steps to ensure safety and cleanliness. I am a very satisfied customer.

This company is the best in the industry. Professional, competitive and competent. While I have been doing business them for over 10 years, and all of the team provides great service, on this occasion, the team of Brandon and Ryan were top tier installing a new Energy Star furnace. I would recommend this company for all HVAC needs, repair, replacement and new construction. Thanks as well to Josh and Cindy for prompt response.

Unit does not work as advertised, none of the 5 guarantees offered were honored, owner caught in at least two lies, property damaged, basement flooded, and company not honoring service contract all within 2 months of install. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. or install it your self, you couldn't do any worse than this circus who calls them selves professional.

All evidence available including text logs, photos and videos. Energy Star Services were supposed to install a Central Air system that would allow the whole house to be at a comfortable temperature. When I interviewed the owner, Josh, in my home and we got the estimate, He and I discussed the following things:
- that We like to keep the whole house at 68 to 70 degrees year round (our Comfort Level)
- We would need a system that was capable of having two zones and maintaining said temps
- We want the ability to add a 3rd zone later as I am planning on finishing the basement of our home.
- That the system needs to be cheaper to run than the four window A/C units that I am currently using and have used for the past 5 years and were completely capable of maintaining the temps mentioned above all summer long.

Josh assured me that they guarantee energy savings and that it is listed on the contract I had with them.

He also mentioned that the temperatures were no problem, that there were no issue with doing multiple zones, and adding the extra zone at a later date was also no problem and that he would install it for us when we were ready

Their contract states the following guarantees:
- Comfort Guarantee
- 100% satisfaction Guarantee
- Energy Savings Guarantee
- Customer Respect Guarantee
Their website states that they also have a Same Day A/C Service Guarantee.

One Tech put a 2ft by 3ft hole in our ceiling that we had to find a contractor to fix after almost 2 weeks of asking for one from the company, and them finally sending out someone who showed up dressed in a tank top, gym shorts and flip flops, and did not act professional in any manner. He talked to my wife like she didn’t know anything because she was a woman, and didn’t want to do the work how we wanted it done.

After he left, My wife checked his information out online and turns out he has a criminal record, and has an expired business license in Pennsylvania. Originally, Josh assured me that he and all his contractors are bonded, and it would be safe for me to let them into our home without us being there. This proves that Josh’s assurances couldn’t be further from the truth.

Another technician removed two breakers from my breaker box, cut the leads from the wires and burred them into the box. After 3 to 4 days of torrential down pours that I discovered that one of those breakers sole purpose was to control our sump pump and our basement had been flooded. It took 2 months to get those issues resolved and we are still waiting for a check for the damages. (photos and video proof avail)

Due to the unit critically failing 2 days after the install, another tech came our and pissed in a bottle in my drive way, and poured it onto my driveway and front lawn. ( I have footage avail. for proof).

He discovered that the initial install of the unit was faulty and caused the emergency drain pan to fill and shut the system down.

our Power usage has increased by approx. 25% since the install, which is not saving me anything. The owner lied and said he was speaking with the manufacture and the insurance company but both have confirmed with me that neither had happened at the times he mentioned or at all in the case of the manufacturer.

One of their techs also crashed their van into my neighbors car. Aside from all that, the vents installed were crooked, there was drywall dust everywhere, and now I am worried that my house will catch fire because the technicians who did the install obviously had no care or concern for our safety or well being.

Excellent service by Steve Y. He took his time explaining the issue and addressing it really quick. He even educated me on what to do for the future. I highly recommend him for everyone’s future HVAC needs!!!

The technician Steven was excellent! He arrived on time, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. His goal was to help me make the best decision for what I need and I never felt like it was a sales pitch. I highly recommend this technician and applaud his work ethic.

Steven yam was the tech sent out to diagnose our problem he was on time showed up in a clean uniform and even wore booties to protect our floor. He was very professional and showed me the options available to fix our problem I would definitely use there service again.

Steve was on time, courteous, professional. The part for my repair was expensive but that's nobody's fault. The repair was completed quickly and I am now up and running my heater again. Couldn't have had a better experience. I would definitely use this company and technician in the future!

I have used Energy-Star a couple of years now. Just had them out again memorial day weekend about my c/a unit not blowing cool air. To my surprise they came out right away, even on a holiday weekend. During the extreme heat of 90 plus degree weather my central air unit was not blowing any cold air. Energy star saved the day.
