110+ extended heat wave and, of course, the AC went out. My dad lives alone with one daughter in OH and me in OR. A friend called tell us that there was a problem and the temp in the house was close to 100 at 11 am. Dad said, yeah, it’s a bit warm.
Concerned that it could be days before it could be fixed, we called Alaskan and the problem was solved the same day. Lexi took the initial call and was able to schedule a same day tech visit with Earl to diagnose what was wrong. I had email confirmation within a few minutes. (Kudos to whoever implemented and maintains your notification system.)
Earl knew my dad from years ago when he put in an original system for us. He kept me informed about the problem and what needed to be done. Instead of just a diagnosis and "we'll let you know when the part comes in or the system can be replaced" Earl identified the part that failed and was able to replace it with a part from his truck.
Miracle works are not just on the star ship Enterprise - they are right here in AZ. Seems they have a team of miracle workers at Alaskan! And they’re nice people, too!

We had our Air Conditioning and heating units replaced. The experience throughout was friendly and professional. From meeting with Samuel (originally organized to complete maintenance on our system), to discussing a new system with Earl, to discussing financing with William (who helped us work through some bumps in our financing), to installation (we had 6 installers here Dylan, Abe, Alex, plus 3 more) to our duct cleaning by (James and Fernando), the experience was friendly and professional. Everyone made sure all our questions were answered and our concerns were addressed. The installers and duct cleaners worked very hard to get our job done in a timely and professional manner. I really appreciated the email and text confirmations of our appointments, and the calls and emails (with photos and information about the person doing the work) when the technicians were coming.

I had 2 AC installed in 2018 no problems up to now. I had regular checkups but they said i did not have anyone come out in 2021 but I remember someone out, they have 2 emails for me one is not me, so they may have not notified me. At the time of installation one of the techs fell thru the ceiling, they did replace the sheet rock but never painted it.
This time the drainage pipe from the exchanger came off and leaked water. The manager said things happen the unit probably vibrated and it came apart, I've replaced outside sprinkler white water pipes for years nothing came apart. If the unit vibrated that bad it was not fasten down good. The tech nick said he glued it good and would not come apart now, interesting.

Only do a "response from owner" if you are going to refund us. For a highly reviewed place, this company is absolute garbage. They came to our house this past Saturday to look at our AC and told us that there was a problem with the compressor and that they were going to have to replace our entire AC unit for $16k. Left us in the sweltering heat for the entire day and said the best they could do is come back for a consult and pricing for a new AC on Tuesday.
Later that day I called another company at 10pm, did not expect them to pick up the phone, but they actually came out yesterday morning and looked at the unit and identified that the problem was the fan motor, which this company failed to do. They fixed the part and it is working good as new and will last for another year. For a licensed and well reviewed place, I'm pretty disappointed and at how dumb you people are.
The fan was the most obvious thing and you did not even take the time to look, you just gave us your opinion and pushed us into buying a new AC. I am never ever doing business this company again and this is a scam company that is greedy and just wants you to buy a new AC and waste your time and money. Do not use by any means. I want a refund for the awful service you did on Saturday. Send the $129 back or we will be suing.

Seth and Zach were competent in knowing exactly what was wrong with my A/C not blowing cold. They were able to fix it in less than an hour. Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating was able to get out here an help us when several other A/C companies could not get out here for over a week. It was an emergency for us to have someone come out ASAP because we have an older dog and cat as well as a kitten. Thank you so much!

My AC had been going back and forth between blowing cool and warm air. I went through my home warranty and they sent someone out who said I had a refrigerant leak and he needed to replace the system valves going into the condenser. I didn't like his persona and was just put off by him. So, I called Alaskan AC and they sent someone out who then told me I didn't have a leak at the valves and that everything mechanically was good.
Mind you, both these people came during the time my AC was blowing cool air. He then went into my attic and said my coil wasn't getting cold therefore I have a bad coil or I have a leak somewhere. He said plain and simple your coil isn't cooling so you're low on refrigerant. I asked him if everything is reading perfect then how can I be low on refrigerant and he he just looked at me and said "you just are".
What the heck. So. I had another company come out after the first two and of course my AC was blowing cool air when he arrived. He told me my refrigerant was good because everything was reading great and that he didn't think I had a leak. I told him the other guy said my coil wasn't cooling and he said if it's blowing cool air then it is cooling. So three different companies and three different diagnoses, this is beyond frustrating and a waste of my time and money.

Seth came out it today for a general wellness check on our unit. He was detailed in his assessment and in his explanation of what was found and needing for our older unit. We both found it funny that my unit was older than him, but I assured him I've seen and supported even more vintage units. He was respectful of my home and my dogs. We discussed his recommendations and he supported all of our questions when I called my partner to discuss over speaker phone. We elected to proceed with some adjustments and sign up for their membership plan. I'll provide updates to the value of the membership plan in the future.

Customer service was very polite and responsive. Asked questions regarding the issue I was having, and answered any concerns I had. The technician arrived ahead of schedule, and was very knowledgeable. Addressed all concerns, and even answered any questions I had. Also informed me of how to fix the issue if it were to arise again in the future. Very pleased about the service today. Would definitely recommend. I was very impressed with the service provided by my technician and how knowledgeable he was about the workings of my system both inside and out. He provided pictures of my unit located on the roof and explained what needed repairs and or replacement. I think he provided a fair price for the work performed and feel confident I will not need to worry about staying cool this summer.

I'd give a zero if that was an option.great commercials, lousy service. Scheduled online for a 3pm service call early in the day. Called them at 320 asking when my tech would be out. Was told there were no technicians available in my are that day. Why was there an option for me to schedule at 3 and why did nobody call me to discuss scheduling issues? Horrible service and the person on the phone did not seem to care. do not use this company!

I guess in this day and age some companies can afford to turn down business! I contacted Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating to get a quote for 2 new a/c systems installed in our house. Not a small amount of money! I get a call from them and THEY have some conditions for us before they will come out to give us a quote. 1) We have to be ready to do this in the next 7 to 10 days (high pressure sales coming) 2) All "decision makers" must be there when they are! (I guess one adult can't make a decision for a couple) I tell the guy that I have to work late all week and I won't be able to be there but my wife can certainly handle it.
He says that they will only do the appointment if we are both there. I ask him " What if my wife was on her own and called. Would you do it then? He just says we both must be there so any questions that we have could be answered. Now he wants to reschedule to the weekend so we both can be there. I tell him my weekend is fully booked and this appointment time is our only opening.
I asked him if he thought my wife wasn't capable of handling it without me? He just said that's not what he was saying but they must have us both there. (In other words no she can't ) I tell him that their customer service is certainly lacking. He says he will check with his boss. When he comes back (did he really ask? )he said his boss would not be able to make an exception.
I firmly told him I would never do business with them if that's their approach to customer service. So my recommendation for anyone reading this in the Phoenix area. STAY AWAY FROM ALASKAN AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING! @AlaskanACaz

Alaskan did a great job removing and replacing my old house HVAC. The time from our first meeting till installation day was less than two weeks. I appreciate that they didn't try to upsell me a more expensive unit I don't need. The equipment/installation price was competitive and fair. The technicians showed up on time and got the job done quickly.
They're professional, courteous and efficient, they explained everything, and cleaned up all debris. They didn't run over even one of my plants out front! I highly recommend them.

I signed up to get our furnace/air conditioners checked and cleaned. The technician showed up on time. The servicing of our three units took less than an hour. He recommended replacing two capacitors and install three surge protectors. He also tried to get me to purchase a membership. This would total around $4,500 and he would waive the $283 service call he was there for.
After briefly fainting, I asked how mush without the membership. Two capacitors and three surge protectors would be around $3,500. Whew! I ended up replacing one fuse that he broke while checking out my heat pump system and installed a surge protector. All for $1,100. I'm no expert but I think their pricing sucks.

My AC stopped working last week and my 9 year old quickly suggested I call Alaskan (she loves their commercials!). I'm divorced and this was the first major thing I had to fix in my home on my own and was nervous about calling places. I called Alaskan and Marissa answered. She quickly put me at ease and answered my questions. Arturo was able to come out the same day and explained everything to me.
Everyone I interacted with at Alaskan was very professional and personable. I won't hesitate calling them and definitely highly recommend them! My kids also loved the ice cream bars! Thank you Alaskan!

Alaskan Air Conditioning customer service is on point! From the beginning when we called to schedule the appointment the representative on the phone was kind and helpful. Just before the appointment we received a text message with a professional photo of the tech that would be arriving at our home with additional information, fun and gave us a sense of peace like we knew who would be knocking on our door.
The tech called to let us know when he was on his way out and when he arrived he was on time, thorough and knowledgeable. Answered my questions and went above and beyond to help us. We are happy with our choice to use Alaskan Air. Thank you!

Had Alaskan Air replace my ac unit almost 5 yrs ago. recently noticed that one of the pipes was not dripping water, so I called out a plumber who informed me that the unit was incorrectly plumbed. So I called Alaskan Air and they told me it would cost $129 to just come out but if they determined it was plumbed incorrectly I would not have to pay. Of course, it was plumbed wrong.
So I had them come out and when they arrived they told me it would cost $129 just to look at it and that they would not refund the money either way. Not good business ethics. Will not use this company again. Suggest anyone needing plumbing, ac, or whatever call ProSkill. They are reputable and fair.

Terrible, never ever use this company. Please whosoever reads this review dont get into trouble. I called this company as my hvac was not cooling. The guy comes in and looks and changes the capacitor and asks me 715$. I asked can i keep the old capacitor he says no. Anyway i take it from him and google how much cap costs and amazon says 32$. I ask him whats the labor he is charging he could not answer.
It was a 10 min job. I said please replace it with old cap and go home. He does that. No transparency to customers and trying to rip them off. Folks please be aware. Also i did not pay these guys anything because i want someone to come in and fix it and charge reasonably. If i pay him and things are not fixed i call other company i have to pay them too.
I asked him i want to talk to his boss and he could not arrange that too. According to me a company should be there to help customers go above and beyond and not rip them off blindly. I called these guys because i heard them from radio, the promises they do there is remarkable and i experienced the exact opposite.
It was a 10 min job. I said please replace it with old cap and go home. He does that. No transparency to customers and trying to rip them off. Folks please be aware. We have had issues with our AC for a few years. It works great except when it rains. We had at least 3 companies come out and look at it. Not going to name names but 1 rhymes with Kettle. No one could diagnose the problem. We were over it. I had 3 companies coming to do a quote on a new system. Alaskan was 1st thank goodness. Project Mgr Luke Rietz come by, heard the issue we were having and asked to get on the roof.
He found a few spots on the control line that goes from AC unit to thermostat that had exposed wires. NO ONE had climbed a ladder to check out our issue. Alaskan Tech Jason Carnes came by confirmed the issue and quoted me 2 options. The next week Jason and Seth Eagle did the repair exactly during the time agreed upon. They even worked with my son to get payment BEFORE a Zoom job interview he had scheduled.
Whether it was Luke, Jason or even Seth that I didn't actually meet, all were pros! I will definitely use Alaskan again. When we do need to replace or AC they will be our 1st call for a quote, may even ask for Luke.

I called Wednesday night because my air was blowing hot air they did come out pretty quickly the technician check it out within 5 minutes he came back and said I have bad news you have a frozen motor $1,700 to replace it you do a old unit we recommend a new one looked into getting a new one unfortunately I didn't qualify for the whole amount I called for a person to co-sign which would be my mom told her the price she said to high lets have someone else give us a estimate so gald I did the other company gave out and check it out and said yes it's old but it's not a frozen motor it was a capacitor that needed to be replaced shame on you for trying to up sell a need unit when not needed yet I am very disappointed with this company and wonderful how many times they have don't this to other people do not use them

Whatever he tried to install made a mess everywhere and the unit went running without coolant which killed the unit. My house temp got up to 92 yesterday. I have to wait until this afternoon to get a brand new AC unit package installed (using different company) Thanks for nothing, Alaska Air. My $350 charge has now cost us another $5k

I recently received an air check on our two split, (upper/lower), unit system. Scott showed up on time and ready to go. Mask on, (Don't care), I do however care about the $2K worth of carpet on my stairs. (No booties). While I believe a thorough job was done checking the systems, he showed me, (picture), that a mother board was left off of its housing by another tech on one of the air handlers last year.
I said OOOH ok, so you put it back? No we don't do that, (its NOW rattling against the blower housing un-ironically). WOW my brain went numb at that point. Couldn't spend 20 seconds re-affixing, or screwing back in to place? Scott said he'd send a report, which I never received till I called. Scott stated he would send an estimate of the repairs needed to the systems to keep our twenty year old systems sliding by, never received that. I'm guessing morning meetings are held pushing the techs to SELL SELL SELL new systems, so basically I paid $230 for a sales pitch to buy new systems.

If I could give this company 10 stars I would! From the first phone call to the last I have nothing but good things to say about this company! The follow up, (the thank you gift which was un expected) right down to the honest. We had three quotes and I am thrilled we picked Alaskan. This company advertises that your ac will look like new after they perform what they call a maintenance check and alaskaify your unit all for over $100. It's a big lie. We had one of their techs come out and check our ac. all he did was take pressures and attempt to sell us a new unit. So they came out with their new commercial. If you are an essential worker they will perform this service for free twice.
The tech that showed up at our house was on the roof no more than ten minutes did not do any pressure checks and told us that the last person that checked our unite didn't do anything to it. He did not know it was their own company that had been out earlier this year. Again all he did was tell us how horrible our unit was and try to sell us a new one.
So what happened to your unit will be nice and clean as advertised.my advice to anyone that uses their service find someone else these people are nothing but a bunch of crooks. I had to give them at least one star to post this review they don't even deserve it.

I feel like they used deceptive practices. We were told because I was a frontline healthcare worker, they would do a service and check at no charge. I agreed to have them come out. I was charged 114.95 because I have two units. I would not of agreed to a "Free" check had I known that, as our units are working fine.

After paying this company $1500 dollars for a maintenance plan and repairs I was told that I needed two parts in order to get my unit back up to spec. I called to get the two part numbers and was told that I would need to speak to a manager, so I waited until the next day. Today I received the most unprofessional business call I've ever experienced.
I was told by a "member of management" that he was too busy and would not provide me with the part numbers. After he stuck his foot in his mouth, he was then not even man enough to tell me his name. I'm a teacher, not a wealthy man, I paid them for the services they provided and I'm just trying to save some money on the additional work. I would not recommend their service, and will now go out of my way to discourage any of my co-workers and families of my students from doing business with Alaskan Air Conditioning.

Wow, Alaskan has been great! They responded to our phone call right away and had technicians out same day. Two days later and we have a new A/C and furnace. Luke helped us pick out exactly the system we needed. Dustin was great in making sure our house was ready for install. Tony and Justin were super professional and great doing the install itself. Everyone we worked with was articulate, competent, knowledgeable, and friendly. Highly recommend!

Andrew was absolutely amazing at problem solving! He took the time to explain everything he was doing, show pictures and more importantly find solutions! I called at 7:45pm and he was here within 2 hours... SERVICE SUPER SIZED! Can’t say thank you enough, we’re signing a annual maintenance due to level of service!!!

My air went out today. I called Alaskan air and they promised a technician to come out today. The tech showed almost 2 hours earlier, which was a pleasant surprise. He took the time to explain the problem with my unit as well as the options. It was a great experience overall compared to my previous experience with another company. Would HIGHLY recommend Alaskan to friends & family.

Hello, my A/C stopped working on 8/18/2019. It was one of the hottest days of the year, the house quickly reached 87 degrees and climbing, our dog was panting. I called Alaskan Air to see if they could help. Dispatcher answered call and took down my information. She said to turn the AC unit off to prevent any further damage, which was good advice. An email with name and photo of my technician was sent very quickly, as well as a link to see the service van on it's way (GPS).
Within 1 hour of my initial call a technician was at my door. He was courteous, clean cut, and professional. He found the problem very quickly. It was a blown capacitor in the condenser unit on the side of house. He had the part on his van and had it replaced in record time. Alaskan Air saved the day! Thank you! We were a first time customer yesterday. Our A/C stopped working. It had just been serviced by our old company just two weeks ago. We had been a long time customer with the old company and about the same time we had our service done, we saw an article in the paper about them. The were caught over charging senior citizens, and trying to sell them new units even if they didn't really need one. So, we called Alaskan.
They were able to get someone out within just a couple of hours. The tech found the problem in just a short time and got it fixed. The tech (Sam) was very friendly, and gave us a couple of options but never pressured us into spending more than needed. Our old company has now lost a customer, and Alaskan has gained one.

I called Alaskan Air Conditioning when my A/C unit wasn't blowing very cold air. They came out much quicker than I expected. I asked about a regular service schedule and they signed me up with their VIP plan. I have never had my attic coil or outside coil cleaned before so the technician cleaned it for me and educated me on how important it is to change my filter routinely. My unit is functioning wonderfully now.

We we're having issues with our air conditioning and of course needed major repair. Alaskan assessed the problems and provided a couple of different options in order to work with us concerning our budget for the repair. Once the solution was agreed on, he performed the work and the system has been great every since. I certainly give this company an A+ for their expertise, performance and going above the standard to provide the best service. I will be calling them again in the future if and when one of our multiple systems may need work.

Had a new Lennox system installed today by Alaskan and the new unit is so much more quiet then our old one. The installers finished the job in under four hours. And they wore booties when they were in our house. I really liked that they respected my home. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

We contacted Alaskan a year ago to replace our A/C Unit, at the time it ended up not being financially doable. This year we got back in contact with Scott who promptly came back out to double check our unit & explain the best option for replacement. Signed a contract & had a new unit installed within 10 days, perfect timing before the Arizona summer starts.
One of the best parts about this company is receiving a text with a photo of your service person letting you know they are on their way!

My experience with Alaskan Home Services in getting my air conditioning back in working order was most satisfactory!!! It was easy to get an appointment for service in a very short time. And...I was most pleased with the demeanor, knowledge and work ethic of service personnel, MIKE WILSON, who took time to clearly and thoughtfully answer all questions I had as to the specific problem of my unit and the options that were mine in having it repaired. Now my air conditioning is running smoothly again and most welcome--especially in light of the higher temperatures of the past days and even higher ones coming!!!

I have been using Alaskan Home Services since I purchased new air conditioners a few years ago. I have always received top notch service. The most recent service visit was "fantastic service as usual". Earl was courteous and competent, explaining what he was doing and what the results of his inspection/ service were. Alaskan replaced my inefficient evaporative swamp cooler with a super efficient Rheem AC and had our old fashion 60 amp fuse box electrical service upgraded with a modern 200amp service panel. The team only spent one day doing the installation. All during the installation and panel upgrade, the Alaskan team made sure we were comfortable. They even sent out a Quality Control inspector to ensure everything was up to standard.
