I called Desert Diamond Mechanical to get a quote on a new unit. Steve called me back. Took some information, he very professionally answered all my questions. Within 15 min or so he emailed me several options( different options are always good). I Would highly recommend based on the professionalism alone. P.S so it turns out my best option was to replace system.
Desert Diamond Mechanical was great they scheduled an install right away ( 3 days ). Install was today. I am extremely impressed with the team of professionals that work at Desert Diamond Mechanical, the installers Estevan and Dennis where great they said I would have service in 6 hours and I did. I also asked them to get me info on insulation and Steve Schilling stopped by just as they finished up and gave me 2 options of estimates. I really like the way Desert Diamond Mechanical does business, and I highly recommend them.

Matt arrived early (with a call ahead to see if I was available), assessed the issue quickly and had a repair estimate for me within 20 minutes. After I approved the repair, he was able to pick up the part and have the A/C unit in my showroom back up and running in less than 2 hours. He saved the company potential days of rescheduling and thousands of dollars in the loss of potential sales because we could not have customers in out showroom until the A/C was working again! Tech Branden came out and took care of my air conditioner. I was so grateful, I called about 4:15 pm and he was at my house shortly after 5. The house was beginning to get really warm. Branden was amazing, he was very professional and explained to me everything he was doing, he was very thorough, by the time he left there was no doubt he cared about making the quality of service I received was important.

He showed (Matthew) when expected. I was told by the home inspectors that the heater did not work. It fired right up and he did a check on everything. So he was honest and did not try to sell me new unit like the other person did. Saved me a few thousand! These people are honest and very dependable. I would recommend them to anyone. He also installed new thermostat to replace the old one.
All in less than an hour. Very good people! Second time out. Matthew installed what was needed. Friendly person and knowledgeable. These people are here to help you when you need it. Would always recommend them!

I was in need of a complete new system install, heat pump and air handler. During the in home consultation I became aware of attention to detail that the other companies didn't offer so I went with Desert Diamond Mechanical. The technicians that performed the work carried over the same attention to detail. The air handler required additional configuration to be the most efficient possible and the end result was more even air flow throughout making for a much more comfortable home.
Even the thermostat is high quality and user friendly. The new system is far above what I had and I'm completely satisfied. If someone is looking for attention to detail and a very professional install Desert Diamond Mechanical is an excellent choice.

After 10 years of bandaging a Carrier system we opted for a new Trane system. I did my research and had 5 bids for the work. Desert Diamond bid was in middle but their attention to every detail is what sold me. There was zero pressure to "buy now". I received plenty of information on schedule time and updates leading up to the install. During the furnace install there was an issue where our dryer was damaged.
The install crew leader was upfront and explained exactly what happened. He mentioned he had already contacted the office to coordinate a replacement. I was extremely pleased with the quick response from the management team and assurance the issue would be resolved quickly. I am glad I chose Desert Diamond for this work and suggest you give them serious consideration for your AC needs.

Ivan arrived for my service call early and he explained everything in detail. He also went over warranty items on my unit that I was not aware of, saving me hundreds of dollars in repair costs. Desert Diamond did a super job replacing our heat pump. Every aspect of this experience was done very professionally. The estimate was top notch and everything was explained in great detail. The job itself went very well. I was quite impressed with the fact that a couple of the managers came out to help the technicians so that they could get done a little early on a Friday after working late the night before.
The inspection after install was also handled very well. Seems to me that they have a great team and I would gladly use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone requiring A/C or.

My technician, Joe N was amazing! He set a high standard for great customer service. Joe kept in touch with me prior to my appointment by actually calling me on the phone and speaking with me. He was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable in his field of expertise. Once he completed his inspection, he explained everything to me. I have two dogs and put them up before he arrived.
Once he got to my home, he told me that he has 4 dogs and he wanted to meet my little ones. My 16+ year old dog is always, I mean always unsure and shy of anyone other than me. Joe was totally welcomed and she immediately let Joe pet her. Steve from Desert Diamond came out to measure for a new A/C unit. He was friendly and professional. The reason I am leaving a 3 is because he added about an extra $400 to the initial quote. While its not much compared to the $13,000 unit I am having put in, it still makes me leery of signing a contract with DDM. The contract clearly states that I am liable for any and all necessary and unforeseen costs needed to complete the install.
If they are going to add $400 here and $400 dollars there, who knows how much I will end up paying in the end. I am still on the fence about hiring them and am looking into other companies.

I am so greatfull to the company for their professional and speedy service. It has been 3 time prior for checking and repairing our unit. It was old and again I called and they were there same day. This time the unit needs replacing. They also made that affordable and quick to replace. I love this company and their professional technicians. They deserve a big pat on the back for great service!

I've been doing business with Desert Diamond for nearly 20 years, when it was just Carlo doing it all. They are very professional and I've never had any issues with them trying to upsell me on something not critically needed. I just had my semi-annual PM service and the tech was Cody. All of the techs are great but I am always impressed with Cody, he goes above and beyond and takes the time to explain what he saw and shows me pictures to back up what he says. He is friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. With employees like Cody on staff I will continue to do business with Desert Diamond.

Very pleased with this company especially Cody who was the one that originally came out to give me an estimate on cost to replace my 2 AC/ Heat systems. Very personable and honest young man. Scheduled the work within a couple days of accepting their estimate. The workers came on time and finished the entire job the same day by mid afternoon. Hopefully everything will work as it should. Very pleased with Cody stopping by while his workers were installing system and answering any questions I had.

We've had a maintenance plan with Desert Diamond for a few years, and they've always been fantastic. Just completed our winter maintenance, and Joe was great! He was super knowledgeable and nice! He made sure to mention a few things to keep an eye on so we keep our system running and in good condition. Their team is always on time and has never missed an appointment. This is only my third Summer in Phoenix and first Summer as a new homeowner. Ugh. When my A/C stopped blowing cold air... I freaked out a little bit. I called Desert Diamond Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning and had a service technician at my house in less than an hour. It was on a Saturday and after 5.
Steve S. was professional, COVID-19 compliant, and even gave me a few pointers to get my system running more efficiently. He installed an American-Made part with a 2-year warranty and the service charge was basically the same as business hours. That makes me happy. I highly recommend them.

Excellent Service from Desert Diamond and Steve. My old unit died out in the middle of Summer and Steve came out on a Sunday to help get me set up for an install of a new unit, he went the extra mile to bring out a portable unit the same day to make sure I was comfortable until the new unit was installed. The new Trane variable speed unit is outstanding and cools my house consistently throughout the day and is completely silent.
I highly recommend going for a variable speed unit, it's worth the extra money for how it keeps the home cool in every room without having the noise of the AC constantly turning on and off. Thank you Steve and Desert Diamond for the great service!

Absolutely horrible and surreal experience with this contractor (DDM). Unprofessional, incompetent, confrontational, and unethical. No sense of ownership and responsibility for their work. Customer focus is totally nonexistent. In their universe, the customer is always wrong and they are always right. That about sums its up. Full details below.


I have 2 AC units, a newer Frigidaire unit on the 1st floor and older Goodman unit on the 2nd floor.
I made an appointment for a tune up. Jeff showed up on May 21, and as I wasn't there, he emails me his written report. He said both units were cooling fine, but Goodman needed R22 refrigerant top up (3 lbs), for about $700. I caledl him the next morning to discuss. He never mentioned any R22 leak, looking for a leak or fixing a leak. Because of high R22 cost quoted, I wanted to take a few days to ask for alternative quotes, so I ask him if this is critical or if it can wait a week or so.
He said it can wait. Great so far (not so great about his total silence about the leak repair though). Or perhaps he wanted me to continue paying for leaking R22 at a cool $180 per pound? 


I sent out a few requests for a quote, all were lower than DDM and ALL asked if the source of leak was found and repaired. I called Jeff again and left a message with a question about the leak.
No response.


Then my Goodman stopped working 2 days later. I called DDM and scheduled a visit on the Memorial Day. I told them explicitly that the upstairs Goodman was just serviced and now stopped working. Matt shows up, it's morning, I'm not at home, my guests ask him to wait some 20 min before going inside and in the meantime to start outside with the compressor. Matt goes outside and starts working on FRIGIDAIRE instead of Goodman, even though the former is cooling just fine.
In fact, he ignored Goodman completely. He then goes inside and informs my guests that his work is done, that he found some "faults" with the Frigidaire, it'll take a "few days" to fix and he'll be in touch. And then he leaves. I call him a few min. later, and he tells me about "broken Frigidaire" that (as he was trying to convince me) was for the 2nd floor.
I tell him he was wrong and the 2nd floor unit was broken Goodman, that Frigidaire was fine and that I explicitly told him to work on Goodman, and that he completely ignored my instructions. He became very argumentative and confrontational, and instead of addressing my concerns he demanded I pay him immediately for his visit. I told him I want to speak to his manager.


Then I called another contractor who showed up in an hour later and promptly fixed broken Goodman.
They had to pump in 6.5 lbs of refrigerant which they said was the main problem why Goodman was not cooling. Better still, they found the leak and fixed it. They said the leak should have been QUITE OBVIOUS to anyone doing the tune-up earlier, as it was due to a missing $3 o-ring in the refrigerant cap, and damaged Schrader core. This immediately started alarm bells in my mind as to the quality of work that Jeff (the maintenance guy) did just a few days ago.
I also asked the new contractor to run a diagnostic on Frigidaire in the light of two conflicting accounts I got from Jeff and Matt. They did, and found nothing wrong with Frigidaire.


In the meantime, I got an angry anonymous email from someone at DDM demanding the payment for the "excellent work" done by Matt and threatening to put me on "no-service list." No attempt to find out what happened, to get my side of the story, to get it resolved, nothing of the sort.  Not even "sorry" once.
Just pay at once or else. It later transpired that it was the Owner himself, named Carlos. What an attitude! In my long life, I've rarely seen worse. I responded giving my side of the story, but to no avail. Matt then calls saying he checked with Jeff and although I was right about which unit was for which floor, he thinks it was not his fault that he got confused because when he was there the Goodman was working and Frigidaire was not (nonsense!), and as he wasn't given access inside (more nonsense!), this got him even more confused.
Perhaps Matt needs to find a somewhat less confusing profession.I told him I have someone else to clear his mess and finish the work. 


There were few more email exchanges with Carlos in which he kept repeating "not our fault" excuses, not a single "sorry", but finally he announced that he'll waive the Matt's service fee. Lucky me! I told him I want my money back on the garbage "tune-up" work done by Jeff on Goodman and a refund on Frigidaire tune up as I had 2 conflicting diagnostics from DDM and had to pay for a third one.
I also pointed out that I was charged $79 per unit for tune up while DDM website is running $59 "special". All completely ignored, just repeating his old excuses and boasting how great they are and how everyone loves them.


What a disaster. I wouldn't touch DDM with a sterilized 15' pole, even if they pay me. Stay away.

To this point you have proven we have accurately checked your systems by the diagnosis of another company and all will remain the same until you can provide anything that disputes our findings by another professional company. If I were to refund you, that would mean that I buy reviews which I absolutely do not. Mr. Leffel, I can tell you that I understand how frustrating it is to have a system down with renters in the property, but to be fair you were informed that your system was low in charge when you received the tune-up forms emailed to you from Jeff, so as a reasonable person I can't imagine it was a huge surprise to find out that your unit needed refrigerant. You have verified that the technician you had go out from another company recently had found the same exact issue (low refrigerant charge) which proves that the work performed by Jeff was accurate. You were sent the tune up report cards by Jeff and if anything in the tune up report cards that was sent to you is incorrect with proof from this or another A/C company, I will be more than happy to refund the tune-ups as I truly believe that you should pay for accurate information and if any mistakes are made, you should not have to pay. I have made this offer to you and you responded with the following response: "Finally, so far, I've kept my feedback private. If I don't get a refund, I'll splash everywhere I can, including filing a complaint with BBB and AZ Dept of Commerce. You don't know who you are dealing with. You screw me, I'll screw you double in return. I'm not in habit of turning another cheek for you to slap."

Jeff, our tech, came earlier than the window the dispatcher had given me, which was wonderful! I loved that he was wearing a medical-grade face mask when he arrived, as we have not been around anyone other than family during this Pandemic. Jeff was kind, professional, thorough, explained everything to me so that I easily understood the problem. Not only did he dissect the issue, he had the solution (a new motor for our AC unit) in his truck, so he was able to stay and put in the new motor.
With temps over 100 degrees, this was HUGE to be able to know that we'd have our AC up and running by the time he left. He was honest and trustworthy, a great guy! We'd never used this company before, and from the first phone call with the sweet and helpful woman that answered the phone to Jeff's prompt and courteous professionalism, it was a very positive experience! I will recommend you to friends!

Desert Diamond is the BEST! They just completed installing our new heating and air conditioning system along with adding more insulation into the attic. What a Great experience! Very professional and on time.
J.C. and Riley did a quick job removing our very old unit and installed our Brand New Trane. This is probably the quietest heating and air conditioning system we've ever had with the many homes we've owned over the years.
The insulation team also did an amazing job filling those areas that needed more blown in insulation that the original builder failed to add. All together this was Terrific. Call Desert Diamond.

This company like a fool. When I agree and sign the contract. They said no interest for my load to get over $8,000 new AC systems. We will pay $140 something for monthly. The installation for new AC is bad because they did not complete the coil from unit and leave them for 2 week. Moreover, I break my garage light at garage when they bring AC unit to the roof.
They also destroyed a wood from the roof as well. They came back after a month and completed the coil after complaint. But they did not fix the wood on the roof and light. After a month, I got a bill from bank and they said we have to pay over $140 + $60 something for interest. So that mean we have to pay over $200 each month. When I call them, they said they are no responsible for this. What? They are no responsible and tell us to contact to Bank. I will update what are going on!

Had a great experience from the start to finish with this company. I thought I had a Trane, so after getting on their website this is the company they referred me for the Phoenix area. It's a no wonder they have a high rating! Customer service was great and same day service. But RYAN our technician was so honest and knowledgeable, and fixed our problem .
Last summer we had to go through Air Standards sent out from the home warranty company and had 5 different calls out. I can't even begin to tell you the night and day difference from these two companies. I am so glad we found this company and look forward to using them for all our a/c services!

My husband and I are so pleased with everyone at Desert Diamond. Justin came to do our yearly inspection and noted that there was a leak and the air conditioning unit was 20 years old. He presented the facts and no pressure for us to decide at that moment about a new unit. He was so polite and respectful. We appreciated that so much. We called and spoke to Melanie in the office and she was helpful getting us set up with financing and making sure we understood everything involved with the purchase of a new unit.
She was so nice! JC & Alex were our installers and they were so amazing! Everything was concise and everything we needed to know regarding the new unit was explained perfectly. They both were also so respectful, kind and polite. Everything was spotless when the job was complete! We are so grateful!!!

Our technician Steve Schilling is very professional and very knowledgeable showed us everything he was doing to our heating AC unit with pictures no sales pitch just good down to earth business. I would recommend Desert Diamond mechanical

Steve Schilling represented his company in very professional way. He did very superb service job in my house. Woke up at 6 on a Sunday morning, house was 61 degrees inside and vents were blowing cold, called DDM around 6:30 and got an actual nice human being. Jeff, the technician was here by 9 as promised and 10:30 all fixed. Did you notice I said Sunday morning? Wow, how would I not appreciate this business? I'm warm.

I cannot thank Cody and Desert Diamond enough. Our a/c compressor died in the middle of the night on a record heat day. Cody was at my house within 20 minutes of me calling them in the middle of the night. My compressor was under warranty so we had to wait until morning to get the new one. Cody came that day and had cold air blowing very quickly. I am a customer for life now.
Service like what we experienced with them is unheard of these days. Extremely courteous, trustworthy and professional. The price was very fair as well. Thank you again Cody!

Anthony was just here to do our twice a year checkup that we signed up for on contract after using their Emergency Service last year, which they fixed our unit that went out in the summer. They were fast and good then also. He was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable and checked out everything in our system. This company has earned and deserved our trust. Would love to have Anthony back next time we need any service. Thank You guys Very Much !!

Total cost - low competitive. However installation and duct repair was above and beyond what could have been expected for the total cost. Great Value!
5 stars. Furthermore they work with APS and were able to provide the rebates available from APS up front reducing immediate out of pocket costs. Desert Diamond Mechanical is the whole package under one roof with a great crew of guys.

I cannot say enough about the service from this company. With the outside temperature of over 110 degrees, Corey was at my home within an hour. The temporary fix worked for a while and no charge for the second visit. Making the decision to install a new unit, again a temporary fix made me comfortable till the unit was installed. Every one of the employees were very accommodating and I was impressed as how quickly the job was done. I strongly believe that you could not get better service!

I didn't realize my air stopped working until after 9 pm. I got a prompt response to my call rather than hold music, and they gave me a window for tonight instead of making me wait until the morning. Anthony provided exceptional customer service despite the late hour, during what I imagine is a busy AZ summer season where ACs are breaking all over the place. I'm very happy with the service provided, and I'd highly recommend their team for anyone looking for prompt, reliable AC maintenance and/or repair.

I rarely write reviews, but Desert Diamond definitely earned 5 stars. When my AC unit went out late at night and we needed emergency service they were there with courtesy, promptness, and professionalism. Our air was back on within an hour and we avoided having to stay in a hotel. Special thanks to Cody, our technician, who despite the late time was pleasant, professional, and courteous. Desert Diamond Mechanical are by far the best Heating and Cooling company I have come across. There professionalism stands out above the rest. Special thanks to Steve whose advice and follow up was second to none, his and Jason's full evaluation of my air conditioning was enlightening and while I did not go with all there recommendations they execution and follow up was faultless. Their air improvements as well as the new air conditioner has saved me on average $125 a month. Fully recommend them.

I was having problems with my ac a few days ago. The weather had just gotten too hot and my air wasn't working. I called Desert Diamond and they got a tech out to my house the next day. They checked every thing out and got me up and running the same day. They are fast and reliable. The tech was nice and the cost was much lower than some other companies that are out there.

Desert Diamond Mechanical is the best heating and A/C Company I have ever dealt with. Calls into the office are always answered right away by a smiling voice and returned calls happen very quickly. I was so impressed with their level of service that I purchased a service contract with them that gives me service with any breakdown within 24 hours.
