I had several reputable companies coming to my home they all said I needed a new AC and air handler, they all had different stories why I needed a new system. I then called Melo Air of Tampa, in less than 10 minutes Mr. Gus had the problem solved for a minor repair, my AC is working great again thanks to Melo air and their honesty, I recommend them highly.

So I waited 6 hours and had several updates that they were on their way. I spoke to them at 12 and they would be there after 6 PM. Now Melo installed my unit in 2013. They came out and were really helpful July 26th and identified the problem. Now a week later same issue and is a quick fix. I just cant get in my attic I'm disabled. So its 1207 am next day and I've waited 6 hours in my 89 degree house.
I will give an update and explain my story and experience. I will create a website and will post my story and have others post theirs. Melo Air does need to be aware that customers can have a voice if the platform exist. I make platforms and am confident the message will be loud and clear. I will update google Facebook and Instagram and by end of week Tampa Bay will know about my experience with Melo Air and I will be able to share with others.
My goal is to share my story with local news channels. Its important our community is aware of Melo Air and how they value their customers in Tampa Fl. It's a shame because the staff that came out was really nice and I thought I treated them well. Well i will go to my hotel room that i rented at 8PM when the communication became a little vague. MELO AIR did install my system and it was done very well. The Techs are very good and they did the job with precision. This was summer 2019. Unfortunately, the RHEEM unit that was installed is not of good quality as its compressor failed to turn on a week ago due to a part called "Contactor" malfunction. I called Gus, the owner, and he sent the tech who installed the system come out for a diagnosis.
After going through the system, the contactor was replaced. All of this was fine as Rene, the tech, is fantastic however, the charge was excessive to do the repair. Especially when i used them for the installation and purchase of the unit. I was charge $319 with $99 just to come out and additional $219 to fix the issue. The piece that malfunctioned was to be covered but the bill did not reflect it. Needless to say it was huge disappointment as i will not be using his services any longer. As it turns out, i was going use him again for another unit this December but will be looking elsewhere for sure after the above experience.

These guys were fantastic and so professional. They beat every price and made sure everything work as it should provided us with all the information on our new unit and cleaned up everything. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Super pleasant and fast with the install on an old house that had no AC and a old wall unit that hadn't worked in years.

Stay away from this company. These guys are terrible. They installed a brand new Rheem unit about 4 years ago. Have had many problems with it since. Has recently been completely overhauled (by a different company) due to shoddy workmanship at installation. That's when we found out that this company has used my units serial number at the supplier to get warranty parts for someone else's unit.
Can you say fraud? Very unprofessional installers. Smoked cigarettes' in my house. Left cigarette butt's on the floor of my garage when they left. The air duct was not connected just taped to the ceiling, been pumping air into the attic. Took 4 service calls after installation just to get the unit to operate. Large 1 diameter hole drilled through wall to run the thermostat wire that has been letting hot, humid outside air into the thermostat for years giving false readings. I could go on an on. Stay away from them, very bad. Any one that gave a good review either works there or is being paid to do it.

They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Their pricing was hands down unbeatable and they did a fantastic install on an older house that had no AC except a wall unit that hasn't worked in years. They were professional and pleasant. Big plus as well they cleaned up everything and even offered to help us move items back into place after the job was done. I can't say enough good things about our experience with them.

We had two mini splits installed in our home. Competitive prices. Great customer service and cleaned up after install. Fast forward two years later and we moved and Had them relocate our two systems to our new home, They came out the next day as we were on a time crunch, he even had someone to repair the wall for us. Hire these guys - they are great.

Prompt response even at 10 PM. Text received when installer was on way—and arrived slightly before scheduled time. Installer made sure everything was just as I wanted it. A pleasure to work with. And all at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend for a residential A/C system replacement.

I recently had Melo Air Inc. install an A/C system in my Tampa FL, condo. I actually live in Maryland and was not present, but I have to say the process went very well. Gus, the gentleman I dealt with at Melo Air was very patient and thorough in dealing with my condo mgt. company, the tenant, and the condo community main office. He supplied me with ongoing information during the process, including before and after photos of the work and email descriptions of what was going on. I need to remove 4 stars. Since my 2 year labor warranty expired in November 2015, I am unable to reach this company. Let me explain, you call a female answers, takes a message and it ends right there., I've called, sent text messages to no avail. I highly recommend, based on my experience, you look elsewhere for an AC company. That's my humble opinion.

Absolutely terrible company. We had a fan motor that's now had to be replaced 3 times in less than 3 months! They have zero consideration for their customers. We have 4 children, one of which is 2 months old.the technician(s) couldn't care less that it was 80 degrees in our home with no A/C (even though we were paying customers that were dealing with the result of their defective parts and haphazard work.) They absolutely never show up at the time they "promise" they will be out and treated us an inconvenience (again zero consideration and/or customer service.) Just when I thought it couldn't be any worse they added insult to injury by telling us they will not fix this again (remeber this is the same part we purchased from them and had them install--this same part they've now had to replace 3 times in 3 months!) And this last time the tech had the audacity to tell us "if the motor goes out again you can take your business elsewhere, and pay for the cost again." If you want to spare yourself a lot of grief and have your A/C fixed with quality parts and timely professional service than DO NOT ever use Melo air.

Melo Air showed up to the job as scheduled and did a good job installing a new a/c unit. The crew did a quality job. Wendy who works in the office is very friendly and helpful. She emailed the permit information once the final inspection was complete. I represent investors purchasing homes so price point is very important, and Melo Air delivered a quality product and service at a reasonable cost. I will definitely contact Melo Air for future air conditioning service needs, as well as refer them to others.

Melo air was very prompt and courteous following a Saturday morning call to them at 8am with a broken start capacitor in the condensing unit. My only complaint was the technician pulled onto my lawn as he pulled in and left. I had made calls to 3 Or 4 Ac companies and they were the first ones to call me back. He cleaned the drain. Checked the pressures and replaced the cap. The cap was covered under a warranty from trans and the service only costed $250. Not bad for last minute on a Saturday morning.

Had a great experience with Melo Air, especially Gus and Jesus. These guys really care about their customers; it's not just lip service. They came out to my home to check on an A/C unit that went out. They spent a considerable amount of time diagnosing the problem and trying to fix it with replacement parts (wires, capacitor, etc.) rather than immediately trying to upsell me on a replacement unit (they clearly showed me and walked me through all the problem areas and the replacements they used). Ultimately, they determined that the compressor went bad and advised me to replace the unit (a 21 yr old Trane) because finding a replacement compressor may be difficult and likely expensive.
They did not pressure me at any point and just gave me enough information to make an informed decision - something I really appreciate. I decided to replace the unit and they worked with me on the pricing and came up with a very reasonable quote. New unit is now up and running perfectly. Install went smoothly and rather quickly considering it was a rainy day. They even cleaned up (swept the floors) after the install was done. These guys are the best; highly recommended.

Great service the hole staff very hard working and fast The owner was very nice and reasonable with hes price compare to the horrible experience i with with prior company i called charges me 300 dollars to install freon 2 mins later after he left the freon leaked completely and wanted to charge more money knowing the unit was blown and i needed a knew unit period very dishonest becareful what ac companies you call forsure always look at there ratings first or if someone recommends the company to.

Melo Air made the process of changing out my22 yr old Trane AC in my vacation rental a breeze. This could have been a very stressful experience as I do not live in Tampa. I had to do everything over the phone. The owner came out at 7PM on a Friday night. This could have been a nightmare for me and our vacationers. Thanks to Gus it was a really smooth experience!! Got home from work and the house was HOT ... Called Melo Air after hours (6:15pm) and talked to Nicole who was SO caring and truly wanted to help! Her Tech's were still on a job but asked them to please come see us when they were done...8:30pm they were there...I'm sure they were exhausted but they were very nice and got the A/C running. They even came back the next morning to do a full check to ensure everything was good to go!
It's wonderful to deal with people who CARE! And their fee was very reasonable! Thank you Nicole for everything...and thank you to the Tech's who got us back up and running...
