Our technicians are well trained and have fully stocked trucks so that most parts are available on the spot.

In 1975, Dan Miller recognized the need for better service and professionalism in the heating and air conditioning industry and started his own business, Miller Refrigeration, offering top-notch service. He quickly added other types of work until he was providing the full spectrum of HVAC services to homes and businesses in the Charlotte area.

Dan's daughter, Jennifer Miller Thomas, knew she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps. After college, she and her husband Britt Thomas started MTB Mechanical and began serving the heating and cooling needs of the Charlotte area. The couple made the same commitment to personal attention and quality service that Jennifer saw her father provide his customers for three decades.

Shortly after Jennifer and Britt got their own business running smoothly, they talked to Dan about emerging from retirement. He agreed to join the business and brought with him 37 years of HVAC knowledge and experience.

Exceptional response time and coordination among members of MTB's team. Our main level AC - a 15 year old unit - went out 10 days ago. We knew we wanted a replacement due to the age of the AC. MTB came to our house a day after my call to them. I reviewed their recommended options and selected a replacement system. Since installation couldn't be scheduled right away, they got my old system running, allowing us to live in comfort until the new system was installed (this past Monday).

We have used this company for the past 2 years and they have always been very professional and have reasonable prices. Recently, our technician Loren H. came out and did a maintenance visit. He was very professional and explained a minor issue we had with our system and even gave us various options to address an additional issue. He took his time to make sure we had a clear understand which we greatly appreciated. I strongly recommend MTB!

I had a great experience with this company. From the customer service reps to the technicians they sent out everyone is awesome! They were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to check my system and educate me. I am very pleased with the respectful, courteous manner in which the technicians conducted themselves in my home. I am a hard customer to satisfy. Customer service is big on my list but this company really exceeded my expectations!

Great experience so far! Called them for a second opinion when Mr Jenkins told me I had an evaporator coil leak and wanted an astronomical amount to replace it. The MTB tech that came out could have easily undercut their price and said a repair was needed. Instead he checked everything and found no leak at all. It's so nice to be working with a reputable company now!

Immediately cancelled my MJ priority advantage and just had my first AC check up with them and all looks good. Honest company will continue to get my business and would happily refer them to others.

I have purchased two heat pumps from MTB Mechanical over the years and started their maintenance program about a year ago. My service was performed thoroughly and professionally this week. MTB sent Ian D. out for my 1st system maintenance since we moved in. Ian was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and detail oriented, as well as polite. It is obvious that he takes pride in his job and does an outstanding job of it. He took time to explain what he was doing and why it was important to the life of our system. Super impressed with MTB. Sales rep came out and was very honest. Explained that upgrading the current unit I had would not save as much energy as I thought it would. Told me it would be best to wait out the current unit until it actually breaks down. He then went through other issues that the house may be having that could cause the extra gas usage I was having. Very happy with my experience.

We've only used MTB since we moved in this house 6 years ago. They are punctual, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They always do a great job when they come out. They explain what they did and what they found. If they make a recommendations they do not put pressure on to do it if it's something that can wait. We will not use anyone else!

DO NOT USE. THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WILL CHARGE YOU FOR STUFF YOU DONT NEED. They installed our system and have had the yearly service contract but have had lots of problems (Trane system) and costs to keep working. At least twice a year outside of the maintenance. So the last time it broke they told me I need a $1000+ "board" but I decided to get a second opinion and they were completely wrong.

The new group said the board had power so it could not be the board, that simple and MTB missed it. These guys have no clue what they are doing. I am reporting them to Trane next. I would like to add that I just spoke with MTB and they were more concerned about the Yelp negative review than getting my situation right. When you hit the target they react. DO NOT USE

They are pricey. MTB installed my system for the builder. I had them doing the maintenance. Then I tried Healthy Home heating and A\C and I found that they were just as good as MTB but 100. Dollars cheaper. I'm retired from the HVAC field so I know what's going on.

I've been on a service contract with these folks for 11 years. Experienced several issues in the past. most recently had a furnace failure that needed a computer part. They charged me $50 to tell me it needed a computer part and now I have been waiting over a week in very cold weather to install the part despite being on their so-called priority list. My wife and I are up in age and experience greater discomfort as a result. After this contract is up we will be seeking service elsewhere.

*****Update: 5/14/20 Chris from MTB called me this morning to address my negative Google review and request my removal of my Google review. I declined. Chris states that: "MTB has multiple procedures in place to notify homeowners of registration requirements within the 60 day time limit." Chris states MTB mails out a letter by regular mail requesting the customer to warranty register the unit that they sell you.

I never received this letter. However If this business was focused customer service they would take the time to warranty register the product they sell you. Car Dealers, Boat Dealers, RV Dealers, Motorcycle Dealers and Lawn and Garden Equipment dealers all warranty register the products that they sell with the Manufacturer. It is just plain ole good customer service to register a product you sold to a customer with the manufacturer.

I know the reason MTB didn't warranty register the my HVAC units with the manufacturer. The answer is simply is so they can sell more new equipment and blame the MFG for the lack of warranty that they caused by not properly registering the units. Lastly, Chris states they he may have been able to get Lennox to honor the warranty if I had notified him of the issue.

I seriously doubt Lennox would budge on them honoring the warranty. The reputable HVAC company that I use called Lennox and was turned down on a warranty claim request. Lets face the facts: Bottom line is Lennox would have honored my warranty claim if MTB Mechanical had done the right thing and register their customers units. Because they didn't I had to spend a couple of thousand dollars unnecessarily. MTB is definitely "Not Customer Service Oriented" If they were they would gladly register the units for their customers instead of using the "out of warranty gotcha" with the purpose of profiting more on the repairs.

Only had routine AC maintenance checked today. Also used MTB for repairs on the unit a few months back. Service quality is excellent. Price seemed fair and competitive. Call ahead window the day of the appointment made scheduling my activities much easier. Technicians are polite and have a great attitude. Very impressed with this company's service, and professionalism. Update review 5/15/19: My HVAC was fried from a lightning storm.

They scheduled my service within 24h of my call and diagnosed the problem quickly. Parts were ordered and if it wasn't for my work schedule it could have been repaired the next day. I couldn't ask for better service. Thank you!

I have been a client of yours for over 13 years and had as many as four properties (down to three today) and I have to say, the people you send are the best - professional in every way and I am happy with the service. That said, I have to say that when it comes to repair prices outside the maintenance contract, I'm extremely disapointed. I needed the safety switch replaced on my upstairs unit --Your quote was $190.00 plus tax.

I purchased the switch online for $4.09 and it literally took me 2 minutes to replace it (the tax on your repair would have been more than I paid for the switch). The inducer fan needed to be replaced --Your quote $870.00 plus tax. I bought the part online for $96.00 and it took me 15 minutes to replace it. On the down stairs unit, the condensor pump was dirty but, working. $295.00 plus tax to clean it, $370.00 plus tax to replace it.

I bought a new one online for $68 and unplugged, swapped it out and plugged it back in in 5 minutes. And, supposedly, with my service contract I get a 15% discount on all repairs. I understand you're in business to make money but these prices seem extreme. I think it may be time to shop around.

We had our Annual Service completed, invested in another $200 part recommended. We had a good report with everything operating properly.until they left Tuesday afternoon 1-15-19. Due to travel schedules an appointment was scheduled for late Friday to fix our heat for the last appointment 4-7pm.instead a call at 3:45pm, the technician is close and cannot wait and will not come back today (as originally requested and expected).

I had the great service of a reschedule on Monday morning.all weekend with NO HEAT.and none since Tuesday afternoon. Great service for a 16 year customer with annual service plan for 16 years. I am absolutely astonished at the lack of service, lack of management to have a conversation with on Friday afternoon at 4:40pm, (they may call back on Monday) and lack of care for a client, now a consumer, who had heat until they "serviced" the units this week.

I hope the managers and MTB employees enjoy heat in their homes this weekend, my home is now 59 degrees and dropping! Be careful, they have so much business they cannot service the clients who have supported them for 16 years. Eric Gatton

These guys are fantastic! I was referred to MTB by my neighbors on Nextdoor app. Even before the appointment time, they were prompt to follow up with the appointment details, and had extremely good communication and follow up on when the tech was set to arrive. Once the tech arrived he was extremely kind. We have 2 air conditioning systems and one had stopped working.

He explained the issue we were having, described in detail how our systems work and even told us how to perform some routine maintenance to avoid having issues in the future. He promptly fixed our problem and was also very reasonably priced. The next time we have an issue with our systems we will absolutely be calling them again.

Jacinto was fantastic. I was lucky he had a cancellation and we could move our semi-annual service up. I've always been impressive with your staff and Jacinto continues that trend. The level of incompetence is something to behold with MTB. We scheduled service to maintenance our AC unit at a specific time and date. The day arrives and they call two hours prior asking to move our appointment up. We accepted even though it was somewhat inconvenient. The tech shows up knowing nothing about the unit they installed two years ago.

He thinks it's gas and in the attic. Neither is correct. He then states that they need to re-schedule our service to later in the day or at a later date because it's sprinkling rain. So, to make it clear, they want to re-schedule service that they literally moved up about 30 minutes before the tech showed up. It was raining heavily when they called and died off before he left.

I then refused to pay for service since it was not being re-scheduled today nor had it been started. We then went through two customer service people who have no idea how to talk to customers or make things "right". We re-scheduled with Morris Jenkins who was more professional and does more with their maintenance. I suggest anyone else does the same unless you enjoy the moronic comedy that is MTB.

After I inquired to the Better Business Bureau that I thought it was not ok to not offer customers an itemized receipt. I got a call from the Service Manager saying that they no longer wanted to work with me and they REFUSED to fix my system. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!

MTB Mechanical, Was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. Matt showed up and gave me a breakdown of how my system works, and what could be possible pitfalls before he started troubleshooting. Matt found the problem, and didn't try to up-sell me on other items which I appreciated. I highly recommend MTB.

My upstairs A/C unit broke and the temperature in my house got up to 97 degrees. MTB was great scheduling and communicating when they'd be here. They even called me when they had a cancellation and worked me two days early. Bryan Phongsa was a great service technician, professional, honest and a great communicator. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the issue to me with an accurate estimate and replaced the capacitor.

He even went above and beyond and took a look at the capacitor of the downstairs condensing unit and explained the tolerances and told me the estimated purposeful life of a capacitor. I'll be buying the Priority Comfort Agreement based on my experience with Bryan's performance on this service call.

Annual A/C service. Very thorough and professional. I was having a recent issue w/ the second floor not keeping up. They checked out the system, cleaned the coil and all good now...no extra charge! Was expecting some big money fix, so was very happy.

MTB Mechanical replaced the inside and outside heating and air units at my home. They did a great job from start to finish. During the install, my old unit leaked a bit of water when they removed it from the attic, causing a water stain. When I called MTB they recommended a plumber to determine the cause, and when we found it was connected to their install work, they paid for the plumber and sent a crew out to paint my ceiling. Great company and I recommend them to all of my friends and family!
