There is one woman who answers the phone and is nice. If they answer the phone. The technicians are rude, standoffish and don't want to answer any questions. They don't turn in reports when they are supposed to, they don't return calls. They are slow. I don't really have anything good to say. So far my experience with them, it's unfortunately not over yet, has been probably one of the worst customer experiences I've had when any business.

I was a new home owner with an 20 year old HVAC system that clearly needed to be replaced! Sean walked me through different options, systems, recommendations, pro/cons, and even financing options! He was really helpful and not pushy! The install team was awesome too! Really nice, hardworking guys. Showed up on time, got the job done asap, and even cleaned up after themselves :

Beware! This company was bad news. Unethical, deceitful and uncaring to the max was my experience at first. The home warranty company Fidelity National, had referred me to them after preferred company was busy. When it took tech Caesar, 6 hours to arrive at my door, (had a 3 hour window), with no apology, blaming it on the office who blamed the tech, then took 2 minutes to look at the problem, (duct had fallen away from vent and could be seen) and said I'm not prepared to fix this tonight you'll have to call back and reschedule, I couldn't believe it.
I argued he knew the exact problem before coming and why wasn't he prepared with screws, a flange or maybe special tape to even try. He then tried blaming me and said I should've sent in pictures.what?! He didn't bother going in crawl space to check out situation or ask any questions, just walked out the door. I had taken a half day off work for this?!?
The next day I spoke to Evelyn in the office to follow up. She played clueless, was condescending, said she didn't have report, couldn't get in touch with tech, had tried all day and didn't know what to tell me. This all told me the company lacks professionalism and this typically stems from the top down. The tech wouldn't tell me the owners name but I believe it's still Raul.
Beyond laughable business practices. OK, so the company made good and Sam made arrangements to send a tech out the following week to reconnect my air duct. Luis was the tech who came, polite, he was efficient in the work and professional in conduct. Thank you.

My A/C went out Thursday evening, so I made arrangements for a tech to come out from Freschi for Saturday morning. He hooks up his voltmeter and tells me my motor is shot.wha? Oh, and that a new package unit will cost as much as 18K. Wait, hold on! I already have central air, so the ducting is there.$99 later. Now I'm depressed as I just bought this house 3 months ago, and need to wait before I have any money again.
I spend an hour rigging my portable ac to a window so I won't die. I finally find my home warranty, and they send out a tech this afternoon. Mario shows up, and within five minutes says that the module is loose. I'm up and running! He even finds a wire clip that will keep the module from vibrating out. I'm so freaking happy that I ask him if he can upgrade my thermostat. Sweet! Honesty and integrity reign supreme! When my 1977 Rheem dinosaur enters the tar pit, I will be sure to call your guys for the install! You're awesome Mario!

This company did a reinstallation of my HVAC per contract with Sears. Two months later my HVAC stopped working. When California Heating & Cooling left my house, the installer told me, if you have any problems call us; not Sears. It was 85 degrees that night inside my house. I called California Heating and Cooling and left a message as it was supposed to be in the high nineties the following day. An extremely rude woman called me back first thing the next morning and told me - all we did is work on your furnace!
I said no, you worked on the entire unit; it's all connected and NOW it's not working! She said the air has nothing to do with us and I never heard from California Heating & Cooling again. Maybe this NO CARE attitude stems from being under contract to another company. This should not matter. As a resident of Antioch, I am so disappointed in California Heating and Cooling, an Antioch business. If you've delivered quality work, you should be willing to respond to a customer's concerns. BEWARE of a company that does not stand behind its work!

Stay Away! Not honest, Raul is the worst owner I have ever spoke to no customer service qualities. Referred to them by Fidelity home Warranty. Bad company stay away from them. Read all the negative reviews as well as the many filtered reviews. I hope to convince Fidelity to change who they use for home warranty work. I asked them to refund the 75.00 they charged me since they left me 8 to 9 days before they submitted my report.
He declined They submitted a shotty report then was asked by Fidelity for more info which they didn't provide for over a week when I called them. I spoke to Fidelity, they said they still haven't received a completed report so no decision was made. In the mean time for over 10 days I have had no heat it is 52 degrees in my house and freezing. I had another company do an inspection prior do them so I had an idea of how the inspection should flow. This guy was so lazy he didn't look at the area where my duct problem is. How do I know because he didnt ask to use the second crawl space entry.

Complete overhaul of my system First off, I really wish I could rate this company higher than 5 stars. Huuuuuge thank you to the team that installed my system. Alex, Carlos, Brandon and the owner Raul even came over and was hands on doing work. Hands down best service I've EVER received. These guys came early and on time. They worked very clean, laying sheet down to protect my floors.
Very professional and courteous. This was a complete install of a new condenser, furnace and coil. They did duct work and added a return vent for better circulation. Raul the owner was very knowledgeable and walked me through the install, assuring me that everything was on schedule. Alex, Carlos and Brandon worked very hard. I could see the sweat drenched shirts as they came out of the attic.
System works great! Got my home feeling cool very fast! I am sooooo glad and grateful that I used California Heating & Cooling. Special shout out to Gladys who was very helpful on the phone prior to install with answering my questions. Best HVAC company in California!
