GV H&A installed my HVAC system prior to when I purchased my house. I was concerned about my A/C so I scheduled an appointment for it to me looked at. It was a simple process to get an appointment and the technician was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. I will be using GV H&A going forward as I am impressed! Aaron and Josh, our installation technician's, did an outstanding job of creating a piping system to allow use to benefit from a high efficiency heating system. I recently replaced my furnace by GVHA via a Costco program. the sales person was honest and didn't try to upsell something I don't need. installation was even better - they arrived on time, did a excellent job as far as i could tell, and cleaned up very nicely and hauled away everything. not a single item dumped in my garbage can. i was drawn to this firm by Costco's reputation initially. but at the end of the day, it has earned the next job on its own merit. great service.

GVHA- the salesperson was not pushy. He was patient, honest, and straightforward; gave us variety of options. The new systems work great and meet our needs beautifully. I highly recommend this company. The install went smoothly- we had a snag- and they were able to help us solve it promptly. We are warm and cozy, and appreciative of GVHA.

This is the second time I've used Golden Valley Heating & Air in the last 10 years. I recently moved to a new home and without hesitation contacted them to install a new furnace and air exchanger. Appreciate the customer service first and foremost. Sat down with Doug Marsh to talk about the different AC and furnace units to purchase. His suggestions on what works best (sometimes that doesn't mean the highest priced item). Install team was on time, professional and courteous. Typically they have 2 guys on the job but I got 4 since the company party was later that evening and guys from other cities were in town. Finished it all in 4 hours. Also, being a Costco member it was a great deal to go through Costco where these guys are a preferred partner of theirs. A nice incentive if you are a member. Thanks GV Heating & Air

GV HVAC did a great job on the installtion of both HVAC units. They were careful to cover the steps with plastic and lay down other protective items during the install. Installers showed up when they said they would. Was a painless experience for us to have a new furnace and air conditioner installed with the old one hauled away. Quality system. Called this Company after central AC died on hottest day in August. Heath promptly arrived (with mask) looking professional and we discussed the problem. He quickly went to the outdoor compressor and discovered the source of the problem. The system was blowing warm air and he showed me a wire leading to a capacitor had mildew rot. He repaired the wire removed the dead mouse and gave the entire system a cleaning and fluid check. System was back up quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Use this service, highly recommended

We purchased a townhome and had Phil with Golden Valley inspect the HVAC system and install a new thermostat. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the system to us and answer all our questions along with great maintenance advice. I will use them again when needed! I wish there were a way to give a 10 star review. My experience with GV Heating & Air was great! Brian the owner was nothing but friendly, honest and a pleasure to work with. I obtained multiple quotes and could have easily gone with a different company before meeting Brian, but I knew I had to hear his pitch and, boy am I glad I did! Not only was his quote much less than others, he didn't try and nickel and dime us on extras that we didn't need.

The overall installation process of our new furnace and AC took only a day. The guys that installed were friendly and informative and very efficient. Everyone at the GV Heating and Air company has answered all my questions in a timely manner and are nothing but friendly. If you're looking for a trustworthy, family owned HVAC company, look no further. GV Heating and Air has you covered!

Been a long time customer, however after a recent service trip this fall, we will no longer use Golden Valley Heating & Air. Technician caused significant damage to our basement flooring due to unplugging our condensate pump causing a slow leak over several weeks. When finally noticed we had a return visit to confirm. When confronting service manager Dennis- met with zero resolution to matter, unprofessionalism, and several excuses for his delay in responses.

I was refused the opportunity to speak with ownership and the liability aspect was simply tossed back in my lap as homeowner as that his technician refused any such actions, and it was noted I could have unplugged unit. Essentially their word against mine as the homeowner. even though I have video surveillance of technician clearly plugging in his shop vacuum to the outlet that pump is normally plugged into.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering GVHA to closely supervise their technicians coming onsite, or to have surveillance footage of work being performed. If zero stars were an option I would leave. as the lack of customer service displayed by the service manager was greatly disappointing, not to mention the lack of involvement by owenership with front line customers in these scenarios shows their lack of interest in client base.

1/2020: The work was good and the servicemen were courteous, but PVC glue was dripped on our washing machine along with dark grease marks. Now I have purple marks and grease marks that won't come off! (In trying to remove the grease, I started removing some of the ink on the washer, so I stopped.) Someone from the company came to check on it, but nothing has been done to accommodate the marring of our washing machine. Update 1/21/20: After seeing our review, we were contacted by the company.

They said they wanted us to be satisfied, and they would replace the front or send us a check to cover the cost of replacing the front. They were very prompt in sending us the check. We received it within a few days of them contacting us. It is nice to know there are companies who still value good customer service, care about their reputation, and will follow up on dissatisfied customers. I would, definitely, work with this company, again.

My first experience with GV Heating was about 6 months ago when my condensation line was plugged and caused a significant flood behind my furnace. They came the same day and found the problem and got it fixed. My most recent experience with them was after I discovered they are a Lennox dealer (a friend highly recommended I go with Lennox so I had checked Lennox's website and saw GV was listed).

Since they came to my rescue once before I gave them a shout. Scott came the following day to give me an estimate on a new furnace and air conditioner. Just over a week later my new system was installed. The installers were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. This is the kind of service that keeps me as a customer into the future.

I had needed a replacement furnace/AC for several years. Brian, the owner of GV Heating and Air came out to give an estimate. His professionalism and guidance helped me select the appropriate units for my needs, reducing the choices to simple options of noise vs. cost. The job involved rebates from several sources. Susan from their office made it painless.

All documentation was sent via email; she took care of the onerous job of filing for all the rebates involved. Scheduling was a breeze, and when she called with an opportunity to move up the date became available, they were there, bright and early. The installation crew was extraordinarily professional. Over 6 or 7 hours, they removed the old hulk of a furnace and installed the new one.

The craftsmanship and detail they demonstrated was consistently first rate. Every installation needs to be custom. They also endured my questions with good grace and smiles. In a final complement, the inspectors for both the mechanical and electrical work spoke highly of them. "They do great work."

Knowledgeable, creative, AND budget-friendly We were lucky enough to have time to research our furnace & AC replacement in May. We found GV H&AC through Costco. Of the 3 quotes we got, Brian from GV H&AC was not only the lowest by over $1000, but he found a creative solution to our needs that the others did not. The installers were prompt, knowledgeable, and very helpful. This business is a keeper!

Golden Valley Heating and Air's technician Phil was amazing. Prompt, knowledgeable and informative. He showed me exactly what he did, never trying to sell me a new heating system. The service provided far exceeded my expectations. When it DOES come time to replace my furnace, I will turn to Golden Valley Heating and Air. DEFINITELY had the impression of a company I can trust in the future.

I can't say enough good things about Golden Valley's repair of our air conditioner. Our AC system died in the middle of a hot weather streak. The company that installed our system as a subcontractor on a remodel wouldn't return my calls or messages about fixing the system. When the installer won't help you repair the system in a high volume repair time, you are pretty much screwed, especially when the system they put in is a less common brand.

Enter GV. They were willing to squeeze us in. Their first repair try didn't work and the repair guy was really clear that if it didn't work, they wouldn't charge us (even though they were out $400 in parts). He returned two more times and put in different parts as he tried to learn our unusual system with downloaded schematics. Every time we scheduled a visit, GV was prompt in answering our calls and really clear in communicating timelines.

When he finally got it fixed he knocked about $300 off the bill because of all the waiting. Unbelievably generous. The guy who did the work, Phil, is my idea of a hero repair guy. He was incredibly hard-working, dogged in committing to getting the job done, and showed incredible integrity in handling the cost despite the hassle of continually returning to our house. Way to go, GV Heating and Air! Like another reviewer said, I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Called for a repair and tuneup. They were friendly, prompt and fair. Phil did a great job and I'll definitely keep their number for future needs.

Great service! My AC wouldn't turn on. I realized the breaker kept tripping. I called GVH&AC. The tech was right on time and very pleasant. I have a very old AC unit and he immediately got on the ground and looked underneath the unit. He asked if I had a hose. I hooked up my hose and he gave the bottom a good cleaning. The coil condenser was plugged with cottonwood seeds. The AC unit was overheating because of the cottonwood and causing the breaking to trip. He gave my old AC unit new life. I would highly recommend GVH&AC.

Very happy with the service we received with the install of our new air conditioner. The men were on time and done in 2 hours. The sales man was very nice and efficient.

Our extremely positive experience with Golden Valley Heating & Air Conditioning's central air installation began at our local Costco with Clarence, GV's friendly and very knowledgeable representative. It continued with GV's owner Scott, who came to our 100 year old house (which we never thought could have central air, given that our heating is based on old-fashioned radiators), and showed us how a simple 2 unit Lennox system could make our beautiful old house much more comfortable than our 6 window units ever could.

Scott listened closely to our expressed needs and came up with what we now believe is the best possible solution for our family home, not too little or too much, which kept the cost within our budget.

The installation crew showed up right on time both days, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and meticulous, making sure floors were kept clean and everything picked up at the end of the day. Most important, we're very happy with how the system works. The last few days have brought extremely hot and humid weather, unfortunately an all too common trait of Minnesota summers. We're delighted that the system is both very comfortable and quiet. So far, we're very, very pleased.

A/C unit was not turning on. Called GV H&AC based on a family freind's recommendation. The tech (Heath) showed up and promptly got to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit, as well as went above & beyond to check for things that might have caused the failure in the first place and even cleaned the outdoor unit. Pleasant fellow, and no-nonsense. Would definitely recommend giving GV H&AC a call if you need service or repair.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. From the beginning of my experience, with the initial call, to the end result. Hands down, the best experience I have ever had dealing with anything with my home. The technician, Heath, was kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. This was my second service call to see what was wrong with my furnace (my financing required 2 opinions). I'm so glad I did my research and contacted them for the second call. I was able to get my furnace repaired for a fair price and very quickly. If you are in their service area, just go with them!

My hubby and I hired Golden Valley Heating and Air Conditioning to replace our HVAC which was completed on July 19. I did some research before choosing this company as I believe hiring a good reputable company for installations is just as important as purchasing a quality product. We dealt with Scott, one of the owners who was a pleasure to work with.

The installers Darryl, Josh, and Justin were wonderful. They were at our house on time and did a very nice job as well as being very helpful in answering any questions. Today, we had the city inspector out which is the norm and he also mentioned that Golden Valley is a very good company with longtime employees, that care about their customers. I highly recommend Golden Valley Heating & Air Conditioning especially when you are dealing with installing or replacing a larger investment.

I did a bunch of online estimates to find a certified tech for my furnace, which needed a servicing and city of Minneapolis inspection as mandated by a purchase agreement when selling a home. Golden Valley heating/air came back cheaper than all of the others, licensed or unlicensed, at $149. They were professional on the phone, came out within a week of the initial call and the service/inspection were done quickly and the 'all good' paperwork was provided with the payment. Thumbs way up!

I should probably give a 5 star simply due to price. I called deans plumbing first as I pay them for their deans club service (10% off work and free travel charges for inspection). Deans told me over $900 to replace the blower motor. So I looked up the unit and the price was $180. Ok so for 1-2 hours of work I was being charged $720? Apparently doctors saving lives should get paid less than a guy who went to trade school.

So I called a few companies to get estimates and ended up with GV. They gave me an estimate based on what I told them and waived the travel charges as well. Came in just over $400 so I saved $500 just with a phone call. My only qualm was the fact that I couldn't call the technician (I tried and he didn't respond) and he never called me to confirm the work before he started. Just a courtesy as I wasn't at home but it makes me feel better with better communication. Overall good service. I will most likely be a repeat customer.

We had our existing furnace and AC replaced this Monday. The installation was flawless, the guys were on time, and very professional. They started immediately upon arrival and worked steadily through the day. Prior to beginning the install they walked me through the entire process, they were very patient in answering my questions. After they left I turned on the AC.talk about quiet.

I went out side every so often just to listen and make sure it was running. My old unit sounded like a turboprop right before lift off. I'm actually looking ahead to winter to see the improvement of the new the furnace over my old one. It's a good feeling to know that I made the right choice selecting GV HTG & AC.

Golden Valley Heating and air put a new central a/c unit in my home about a year and a half ago. The salesman(Doug) was very quick with getting an accurate quote, and the install guys kept me informed as they were installing the system.

House was old enough it needed a heating/air conditioner replacement. The Lennox Air Condition and Heating System installed by Golden Valley is amazingly quiet and efficient. Installers did a great job. Highly recommend Golden Valley and Lennox.

The inspector who checked my gravity furnace was very thorough and explained new information that no other furnace inspector has done before. Recently I also called their office to share a concern about a banging noise. I recently had Golden Valley install a new Lennox HVAC in my home. I am so pleased with this company and Lennox products. The process started with one of the owners visiting our home and sizing up our needs. Brian clearly explained to me his recommendations along with a firm quotation of the costs and current rebates. No high pressure sales pitch.

His quote was very fair and much less than two other bids I had received. The install commenced on the agreed upon date and was performed by two outstanding and very professional technicians. They took great care in covering up all walkways before starting. They dismantled the old equipment and hauled everything away without damaging our walls. The highly rated and high efficiency Lennox system looked well designed and built.

And the whole system including the outdoor condenser is so quiet. When the install was complete, Jared and Evan carefully explained the system to me and how to operate the very cool WiFi capable thermostat. It was so nice dealing with such a professional couple of guys. Most importantly, my wife thinks I’m smart for choosing GV for this job.

I had them come in to do a tune up at the beginning of the first winter I owned my first house. He was quick, efficient and incredibly courteous. He utilized filters that were already there and even re-used a piece of scrap flex pipe I had to re-hook up the drain. It wasn't a huge cost savings but I appreciated him taking every effort to make it affordable. He also was able to educate me on my furnace, maintenance, and general heating and cooling information. Will definitely be calling again.

Wow, what a great company! I called to see if they had availablity to come change a fuse on our air conditioner. They were booked out about a week, and with this hot weather, they did some trouble shooting with me over the phone. I appreciated the time he spent with me on the phone and then put me on the call list just in case something opened up.

Late that night I was able to get a family member over to change the fuse. The very next day, they showed up at my house right away in the morning. Although I did not use them, I was impressed with the professionalism and the fact they went above and beyond to try to help me out.

Recently had GV out to put in a whole house humidifier and do a furnace tune up. Tom was the gentleman who came out to the house and he could not have been more courteous and professional. Top notch service and quality. I will have GV and Tom do all of my heating and cooling calls.
