Dave Minshew was recommended to me by a dear friend, Mr. Bill Timmins whose mother was at the time in the nursing home in J.C. He has been a blessing to our nursing home on many occasions and always charges fairly and sometimes not nearly enough. He does a fine job and always responds quickly and courteously to all our emergency and non-emergency calls. I would highly recommend him and his company to anyone with heating,a/c, or refrigeration problems.

Mr. Minshew was not respectful of my request to remove his shoes before entering my home. Upon asking him, he huffed and puffed, threw his head around, rolled his eyes and gripped about having to take his boots off. He finally removed his boots and upon coming into my home he was very rude and grumpy. After he found out he had to go up into the attic to look at the air handler he said, I have to put my BOOTS on to go into the attic!
He didn't need his boots on to go into the attic. He went to the door put on his boots walked outside to his van and then walked into my brand new house with brand new wood floors with his boots on! After I had explained to him about not wearing his boots in the house, upon his arrival.
Plus, I had explained to him on the phone before he ever arrived that he would have to take his shoes off before coming into the house.
He said, ok. But then, it wasn't ok when he arrived. He came in and and out of my house 3 times with his boots on. We live in the country and have gravel in the driveway. No concrete. He was nice over the phone, but very rude, disrespectful of my house rules, grouchy, grumpy and acted like he was doing me a favor by being at my home. The problem was a simple blown fuse in the air ehandler of which he didn't have.
He said he would have to go get a fuse. I told him, my husband can get the fuse and replace it himself. I just wanted him out of my house. He charged me $65 for 20 min worth of actual work. Never again will I ever call Mr. Minshew for service. Mr. Minshew needs to learn some manners and learn to be respectful of customers and their homes.

Mrs. Carr was the one being rude, she was in a mood because her husband had cut the thermostat wire and caused the system to quit working. She is correct in the fact the I was not about to walk through the insulation, electrical boxes, wires, nails and screws in her attic without boots on, and when I told her this it put her in an even worse mood.

David Minshew, owner of Best Rates Electric and HVAC Services is our hero! He came out the same day we called him, and had our AC running in an hour. David keeps many new parts in his big truck, and replaced our fan motor right away, no waiting for a second service call. Mary and I highly recommend David and Best Rates Electric & AC!
