Technician came out and pretty much told me that there's nothing that can be done about the compressor making a loud noise on start up and also that nothing can be done about the loud vibration in one of the rooms from the HVAC. I asked him about the thermostats if they can be wifi capable or if I would have to switch them out and he said he didn't know.
So basically I paid the technician $40 to come out and say hi. At least he was a really nice guy and I hope he got 1st place in the fishing tournament he was telling me about

The estimator took the time to understand what was needed and answer question. The quote was reasonable, and the service option was convenient to me. The installers were punctual, efficient, and non intrusive. They were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. They were finished in short order and it worked. Then the quality check fine tuned the work of the installers. Systems have run properly since.
When I turned to heat for the first time, the compressor wouldn't kick on, so I called the service line. They immediately came out and found the air flow was too low. They had connected to existing ducting and I was afraid they would say it was a ducting problem. Instead they found the transition from the unit to the ducts were too cramped. They moved the unit away from the house and reworked the ducting, increasing the air flow dramatically from what it had been for several years (since the previous replacement years ago). Now the house temperature is quick, and even, AND the heating bill has been reduced 20% from last year. Great Job

While making a call for an AC replacement appointment, I was given a direct statement by Wendy. I was waiting on her to confirm my appointment when she became insistent that I answer her question. any person who heard the statement would know what the rules are because she just said them. However, instead of just making the appointment, she decided to blacklist me because her entitled feelings were hurt. After 4 visits and $390 in parts that did not fix our heating system, I was told by the office manager that the final diagnosis for repairing the system was to spend an additional $550 on a new control board, air handler and replacement thermostat. The owner would not speak directly to me about all of the issues we had, so I said I would not work with them.
I hired another HVAC company to come out 2 days after the final conversation with Carolina Air Care, and he correctly diagnosed the issue as a 3 amp fuse in the control board that was extremely loose. All he had to do was crimp the connector where the fuse is inserted to make it really secure, and the system has been 100% operational since. I called Carolina Air Care while the other HVAC technician was at our home and said I wanted to discuss a refund for the parts I totally didn't need.
I was told the office manager would call me back, and she has failed to do so. I am filing a a dispute in small claims court due to the fact that the owner is not willing to do the right thing and refund me my money. I'm attaching a picture of the fuse that was loose and was fixed/tightened.

Larkin was our first point of contact who happens to be very pleasant and service oriented and knows the HVAC industry quite well. Mike was the estimator and also does quality control after the install. Of the estimates we received, Mike was the most knowledgeable and gave us a fair price. Daniel and Doug were the installers and did a fine job. Wendy in customer service registered our equipment with Lennox and also filled out the paperwork for Dominion Energy so we could receive a rebate. Highly recommend this company and will use them again to replace our other 2 systems when needed.

I contacted to ask why our furnace/air handlers in the attic have seismic bracing. I'm a home inspector and noted in my report that it was missing on a home I inspected (I knew it was required but wanted to ask a specialist, I'm not an HVAC technician). An agent argued that it was not required. Long story short, customer service at Carolina Air Care called me within five minutes to help me out and re-affirm it's because of the seismic zone we live in.
It did nothing for their bottom line to call me back but they did. When I eventually need HVAC work (or when my clients do), I know which direction I'm going. Thanks y'all!

I did the research before selecting this top rated company in my area. After the completion of the install, I fully agree with all those people who gave them a top rating. In a tight crawl space, the install team did a complete removal of all the 54 year old ducts, installed new ones and also removed a 15 year old system and installed a new energy efficient system in 3 days. I could not have asked for a better deal and a better group of people to work with. My home is so much more comfortable. thanks to all the good people at Carolina Air Care.

I was hesitant on choosing Carolina Air Care at first because I received multiple quotes and everybody gave their opinions why their installation was superior given their higher price for the same product. The installation itself went very smoothly, in and out in a day. I decided to wait over a year to write a review because normally everything goes smoothly...then downhill after the first year. Fortunately this is not the case.
There were a couple gaps in the attic where the seal and tape had come off, both times I call the company and was set up almost immediately with a date and time they would fix it, free of charge as it would have been an installation issue. I'm very happy with the customer service as well as the workers I've been able to meet so far. Their pricing is unmatched. Highly recommended.

We needed to replace our heat pump before summer began so, I called around to get quotes from several heating and air companies. I was in the hvac business for several decades myself so, I know quality work and reasonable pricing when it comes hvac. I was really impressed with Carolina Air Care's installation, customer service and reasonable pricing.
The other hvac companies that I received quotes from are taking advantage of people during desperate times. The other companies prices are too high and the quality of work is probably just as crooked. Carolina air is a great company with reasonable prices, super customer service and honesty. We needed to replace our A/C. Carolina Air Care was by far the best price we were quoted from 3 different companies. They did a phenomenal job. Very knowledgable crew, very thorough, on time, professional and honest. The unit actually cost 300 less than the price they quoted us, talk about honesty. They may very well be one of the last companies that have integrity in the A/C business.

As they say you're "supposed to do, " I got three independent quotes to replace my 15 year old split unit heat pump, etc. Carolina Air Care started with the most thorough estimate of the three - Jake really seemed like he knew what he was doing and was serious about making sure he spec'd the right equipment and anticipated all potential costs, including moving a hot water heater.
In the end, they didn't need to move it, and reduced the estimated cost in the final bill. Then I sat on the estimate until my system went out six months later (as one does)! Spoke with Larkin on a Saturday morning, scheduled replacement on Tuesday, and received a call back that the estimated price would remain in effect - which was nice. And more importantly, it was substantially lower than the other two quotes for a top tier system. Mr. Jack and his crew arrived on Tuesday and completed the job very efficiently and professionally.
Good work, tested the system, they were thorough, cleaned up, and were very communicative throughout. Dave returned the next day for a Quality assessment and he was awesome, too - gave me all the information I needed (and more) and helped me fully understand the system, operating it, and maintaining it. All in all, I really can't ask for anything more in this type of transaction - I give them an A+ and recommend them to my friends.

After having two other competitors come and give us quotes on replacing our A/C unit. By far Carolina Air Care was the leader of the pack and did not fail on giving us quality service. They was in and outbon no time and best of all they did not go over their original quote. I will keep them at the top of my list for future work and continue to recommend to others.

Carolina Air Care did a great job after being called out for a second opinion. They confirmed and advised that it would be better to replace the system instead of repairing the leak in the coils do to the age of the unit. Their price was inline with what I was looking to pay and the service was professional from everyone I spoke to over the phone, online, and in person.
We were also appreciative of them providing freon in the old AC unit until they were able to come out and make the repair. It was also great that they sent someone out 3 days after the install to review/check the installation was done as required and answer any questions we might had. Thanks Dave!

We wish to commend the entire office and field staff of Carolina Air Care for their excellent service during the recent purchase and installation of our AC/Heater Unit. UPDATE (11/2107): After having our unit in for a year now, and just hiving this systems annual maintenance and our other unit to boot, here are my thoughts. The annual maintenance apparently does NOT include cleaning of the coils and only using their multimeter and gauges to check the values. Why wouldn't you clean the units as part of the maintenance? Secondly, our 10 year old second unit was identified as having a failing dual capacitor, because the voltage was lower than expected.
The tech recommended replacing it for $280. I felt that this was very expensive, and told him that I would think about it. He said he could offer it to me for $249 during maintenance, but I declined. I went online and looked up dual capacitor for my model number, and the part is only $30! I understand that they need to charge for some labor, but $250 profit on a $30 part seems ridiculous!
This is on top of a $79 maintenance fee too! I ordered the part and replaced it myself (took 5 min), and is working great. The service guy was only there for about 20-25 minutes to service two units. As a result of everything, I'm lowering my review from 5 starts to 3. ORIGINAL: Carolina Air Care was the third company to quote on a replacement HVAC unit for our home.

I had a complete HVAC system installed by this company in 2013. The installation experience was good and the representative said that he highly recommended the brand of unit , Rheem, that was being installed. A couple of years later the compressor unit developed a leak and I had them come out to fix it. It was the same representative that recommended the unit that fixed it.
While fixing it, he went on to say what junk these units were. Fast forward to 2016 and I am selling the house. The home inspector ran the simple check of looking at the required circuit breaker amperage on the condenser unit and comparing it to the breaker in the panel. The unit requirement was 35A and the breaker was 40A and it ended up on the repair list of the buyer.
I called Carolina Air Care and was not only patronized but discovered that they had a system for not taking responsibility. The peanut gallery in the back made a statement that they have no way knowing what we, the owners, could have done to the breaker in the last 3 years. Why would we go in there and change the breakers? They also demanded the home inspection report and said they would look at it and see about installing the breaker for $40.
The woman on the phone then went on to make a statement how home inspectors are always trying to pick at them but they are used to it. I even questioned their inspection checklist and they said that the only requirement on the list was to ensure the high voltage wires were tight. So they don't think matching it up is important. They also said that my install was a coupon special and would not include taking care of the breaker. I had no idea that I needed to check behind what are supposed to be licensed professionals. Had my 3-ton system replaced. Carolina Air Care did an awesome job and were very professional. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need and never once got into pricing or comparisons with other companies. They were very confident in their proposal and product. I loved having the quality install check done a few days after the system was installed. I am very impressed with everyone here. I researched a lot before picking somewhere to get a second opinion for my AC. From the receptionists to the techs, everyone was so helpful and honest. Paul and Chris did my install and worked super hard all day. They made sure everything was installed properly and made sure I was comfortable with the new thermostats before leaving.
Paul and Chris also made a great effort to make no mess at all.

Carolina Air replaced my 3 ton Trane split heat pump with a Lennox Elite 16 for my 1750 sq foot home. The estimate was quickly performed and presented to me on site.
