I have to applaud how smooth and painless it was to finally replace my old AC unit. Kevin went above and beyond with our repair. After a thorough diagnostic exam and honest discussion we replaced our blower motor. After replacement, we were still having some issues so he completely took the furnace apart and was able to fix the problem. Overall great service. Additionally they did all this during a massive snowstorm and stayed late into the night on a friday. Great service.

Kevin was generous with his time on the phone, answering furnace questions from both my father and I. He stopped by before offering an estimate and seemed friendly and honest. While I ultimately went with a different company, because they were able to install sooner, his quotes were within $100 of the other ones I received - he gave me quotes for a higher and lower efficiency furnaces as I had requested.

I called Chicago Heating Repair when our heater went out in the early evening. Kevin was the tech who responded. After more than 45 minutes of trying to diagnose the problem he decided that it was a faulty thermostat. I raised an issue with that stating that the Ecobee thermostat we had was only a year old and had been professionally installed. I offered him the original thermostat to replace the Ecobee but he insisted he couldn't install it do to warranty concerns.
Out of desperation and it being 20 degrees outside I let him install this new thermostat at a cost of $379. I had AirBnB guests staying in the unit so I had no choice but to get it fixed immediately. Before we had a chance to test all the functionality of the thermostat he was racing out the door - the heat was on so I assumed it was working. It actually wasn't fixed and the fan ran all night.
The next day when I called Kevin he was very defensive and combative over the phone and refused to honor the warrantee he promised on the new thermostat. Instead telling me I need a new circuit board ($795) and a new transformer ($295). 3 minutes of googling and a 10 minute youTube video later I was able to accurately diagnose the problem myself. The thermostat wire was faulty. $6 worth or wire later from home depot and my system was working perfectly again - except for the air conditioning unit which he had disconnected and blaming part of the problem on. In the end they didn't honor any warrantee they promised and I had to eat $379 for nothing. Definitely would NEVER use this company again!

Kevin is professional, timely, knowledgeable, and friendly. I feel like the heating repair business in Chicago is cut throat and full of people who don't care; but Kevin is someone who I now trust and will definitely call back when I need more service. Kevin came to repair our heater. He was able to find the problem and sent an online detailed quote (with online payment options) the same day.
We ultimately decided to replace the unit because of age, which Kevin did quickly and professionally. I want to be clear that he didn't force us, or even ask us, to replace the unit. He was happy to just repair it. This, to me, is the sign of a true professional and not just a sales guy looking for the highest return. Thank you for that! Price was absolutely fair, and service was spectacular.

Do your homework before you agree! I always feel it's best to go local because the people are honest and hardworking. This was the worst local experience i have ever had! Kevin (the owner) arrived late the first day due to traffic. He did not find anything wrong with the unit and said if it did not work again he would come again to inspect the unit for free.
Fast forward 2 day and we were still out of heat. Kevin was scheduled to come in the afternoon but 2 hours prior to the appointment he cancelled. I took a day off from work for a no show appointment and my heater was still not working. Kevin agreed to come in 2 days at 5.pm. when that day came he showed up at 6.30pm and wanted to bill us the late evening fee, which was only a result of his tardiness.
I reminded him that he said this service would be free but he told my husband and I that he worded it incorrectly and still billed us. You would think that by this time I learned my lesson. At this point I had invested $180.00 and still had no heater. He found the issue in what seemed to be 5 seconds and said he would return. 2 Days later he arrived with the part and fixed it.
This was over $250. But it was working and I was glad I no longer had to deal with no heat and disappointments. He did not give us a discount for coming late or the free visit as promised even after i reminded him. he did tell us that we could get a 20usd discount if we posted a postive review in front of him. which we did but only for the discount and then removed it as soon as he left. After he left i googled and called a few companies and asked for a quote for the job he had done. Needless to say we were ripped off. Worst local experience ever!

This is absolutely the worst HVAC company I have ever come across. PLEASE BEWARE. If I ever find Steve if that's his name, I'm sueing him. I contracted Steve to install an AC unit in my home back in 2016. Fast forward to 2018 the number I called the number he used back in 2017 because the unit needed service and a company answered saying they didn't know a Steve and he was using there business as his.
I let this man in my home and he wasn't even legit. He caused my damaged than good. I had to have other HVAC people come to my home. The unit has been leaking Freon, water has been leaking into my furnace since he installed the unit, the unit doesn't even get as cold as it should it the house. This man should go to jail for what he has done.
I wrote a long post back in 2016 about how shady he was but he promised to correct the issues with the unit. Years later I find out he was a fake. I don't know if he was licensed or not. My furnace is rusted out from water running in it for 2 years. The new HVAC person said this person couldn't have been licensed. Please beware if you do business with him. He used another business information. He is a fraud

Hello. There are few things about this company, which was represented by Steve. Seems like he is the only one over there, even though he claims they have guys. Company was registered to a residential unit on 4600 n cumberland ave in Chicago, IL, so there is no real office. There is only one phone # which he barely answers. I have tried to call him about 20 times from 4 different phone numbers between 10am and 6pm, left a text message and a voicemail.
Absolutely no response. There is one Yelp review, where lady describing the same behavior. Seems like he doesnt have a proper work ethics and customer service is really at 0 on a scale from 0 to 10. The problem occurred 3 weeks after he installed my AC coil. Drain wasnt properly installed so it started leaking slowly but surely. It didnt take long before i got my living room flooded, about 30% of it. Contacted Steve, told him what happened, he made a promise to be at my place between 4 and 5pm.
I had to leave my work early so i could meet him and, of course, he was a no show. My living room is still flooded, drain isnt fixed, thats the result of a negligence on his side. Everything is documented, took video and pictures as well. I am planning to sue this guy. Please, think twice before using services of this "company".

I called around 11pm to ask about them possibly coming to fix my heater as an emergency. They sounded indifferent that a potential customer was on the line. I'm glad they still answered the phone. Thanks! They said they charge $149 for a diagnostic visit and gave me a range of $50-3000 when I asked for any examples of prices on different parts that might need to replaced. I'm glad they told me it was difficult to give a quote over the phone.
They said someone could come in 2-3 hours, which is good. Their website is informative but I wish I could have called at a different time to hope for friendlier, more helpful service.

I just had my humidifier fixed, which broke due to a faulty hose. Sergey came to replace and was very helpful when I asked if he could try and come sooner than our scheduled appointment. Upon arrival, he was able to quickly fix the issue and further provided a lot of information about basic humidifier and furnace maintenance. If you want good service from a company that knows what they are doing, this is a good place to look. The rates are not cheap, but the service is can be trusted.

I called Chicago Heating Repair last night as our furnace stopped working. They had a technician to our home within 2 hours and had my heat repaired in less than an hour. They asked if I was happy with their service if I would take the time to write a review on Yelp, so here it is. Highly Recommended. Sam was great by the way.

I called Chicago Heating Repair this evening because my furnace wasn't blowing warm/hot air. I spoke with a man who said someone could come out tonight in 1-1 1/2 hrs. I said that would be great. He then said, let me call the technician and see closer to the correct time he can be there and I'll call you back in 5-10 minutes. It has now been almost 1 1/2 hrs. and 2 voice messages later and I still haven't heard back.
I just called again and left another message to cancel their services. Apparently the "slow" economy hasn't hurt them since they can afford to lose business! I called another company who, not only is coming out tonight, but their service call is $24 cheaper! Don't call Chicago Heating Repair because they most definitely are NOT reliable!

We're very happy with our experience with Chicago Heating Repair. They were able to make a service call to our apartment almost immediately. We scheduled for the following day and had an actual appointment time -- not a 4 hours time slot when someone would drop by. Sergey, our repairman, was courteous enough to give us a call to say he was a little late from traffic.
When he came, he was very professional and explained everything to us so we could understand exactly what he was doing and what needed to be fixed. He went out of his way to clean around our heating area to remove excess dust that was causing part of the problem - as well as replacing the necessary parts on the spot. When he noticed some other problems, he informed us of the issues and did not try to "sell us" on having the issues fixed immediately.
Turns out we have a few more problems with our heating system that need repair and we fully intend to have this company back to fix them. They are affordable, timely, and professional.

Amazing service! Technician called ahead, was on time and had my heat back on within a few minutes. He explained what was going on and showed me how to do some simple troubleshooting. It snowed the night before and he wore shoe covers on his shoes which was a nice touch. Can't recommend enough, will be calling again the next time I have a problem. Thanks!
