Just been charged DOUBLE the number of hours by Chuck's that the two workmen were here. They came twice: less than two hours first day; 4 3/4 hours two weeks later (so approx 13 man hours). Both times we were the problem-solvers with our small job of fitting a new stove top and down-draught vent in our stone countertop, everything was a problem and wouldn't work in their view, at first they tried to fit a huge 12" vent when we could see a 10" vent was the correct size (they did send someone out with the correct sized vent in the end), and when they left we had to call in our own regular carpenters to "tidy up" their work.
Then we get the invoice: we have been charged for 26 1/2 hours work at $90 per hour. Think about it: the equivalent of three days of work to hook up a new stovetop! Daylight robbery and downright fraud. I spoke to the receptionist at Chuck's and left a message for the boss, Jay, today, and am now waiting to find out if this is blatant dishonesty or an honest mistake.
Then we get the invoice: we have been charged for 26 1/2 hours work at $90 per hour. Think about it: the equivalent of three days of work to hook up a new stovetop! Daylight robbery and downright fraud. Chuck's Heating is absolutely fabulous to work with. I had a custom job where I was replacing my kitchen crown molding with custom metal trims, they can out and measured and then when we needed to make slight adjustments afterwards Gary and Joann were totally accommodating. They take real pride in their work. Thank you!

A crew from Chuck's was here the last five days installing a 2 outdoor unit, 6 indoor unit ductless heat pump system in our home in Williston. Not only was the crew punctual, respectful and professional, they also went the extra mile to work with me to make sure the slimducts outside looked exactly how we had hoped. I work from home so was here for the entire install, but never once felt the need to check up on this crew. I can't recommend this company highly enough if you want a great Mitsubishi mini split heat pump system installed.

Our gas furnace stopped working this winter just before Christmas, so it was emergency. Loved that they showed up in masks and got assurance we would be masked. They analyzed the problem, replaced some parts and cleaned the external outlet pipes. After some basic testing they assured me it worked. By that evening it was not working. Being stuck with no one working Christmas, I googled the type of unit and found some common issues that were easy to repair. I made the fixes myself and it has worked all winter and spring.

Absolutely unprofessional and inept people working for this company. This company knowingly charged me for a good and service that was not provided. Deceptively adding things on to the invoice. When I called to inquire I was spoken to very rudely and dismissively. I was told that I'd receive a call back to discuss the issues however I never received a call back.
Only a revised invoice to my email removing the fraudulent and deceptive charges. This is an admission of guilt without the apology. These service providers were tasked with the job of completing an inspection however they have proven unable to decipher the condition of even the most basic components of the unit. They did not complete the service to satisfactory and threatened legal recourse against me for calling them out on a job clearly not done when I should be the one suing them from charging me for a job they technically did Not do.
The purpose of purchasing an inspection is to buy some peace of mind or at least the empowerment of knowledge. This company was unable to fulfill this task yet still demands payment after deceptively charging for things that were not done and also failing to call me back to discuss it after I was told I would receive a call back. Please save yourself the heartache and don't allow yourself to be scammed.
I will be begrudgingly paying this unfair bill as the manipulators at this company will surely lie if I take them to court. I've never written a negative review for a company before so please take this seriously. Even if it were an honest mistake an honest company would have the decency to better explain themselves without instead only being defensive and rude. IMO being charged for something that did not happen isn't an honest mistake, and again even if it were (because everyone does make mistakes sometimes, I truly understand that) the way these people chose to handle this situation was absolutely unacceptable.
The level of customer service with my series of interactions was easily the worst I've experienced from any service provider ever. I wouldn't be able to trust any of the contents of the inspection report I already know the quality of work isn't there. I'm just glad that I had this experience with a 300 dollar bill rather than trusting this company with anything more complicated. I will surely be looking elsewhere for a heat pump.

Have now had occasion to call upon Chuck's Heating 3 times. We were never a customer before - but they treated us like we were. First was for the complete installation of a dual heat system added to my existing gas furnace (Nick). Second experience was to have all the duct work cleaned and sanitized in our home. Third visit was today (John) to repair a high pressure heat pump line I accidentally cut during a renovation project.
On each if the 3 appointments, the service technicians were on time, professional, extremely neat and all very knowledgeable in addition to being genuinely friendly and outgoing. I wouldn't hesitate to HIGHLY recommend Chuck's Heating to anyone looking for a solution to and HVAC, plumbing or metal fabrication project.

I own a couple of rental properties in Burlington and needed to have the clothes dryer vents cleaned on short notice. Two young men from Chuck's showed up and did a very quick and professional job. One of the units required some difficult work.outdoors in very cold weather. These guys were Great. I had no previous experience with Chucks.but would definitely hire them again. By the way., they were recommended to me by the condo management people as well as my appliance dealer.

Terrible service. I am extremely disappointed by you service, I called to have your team come out, 1- no one ever showed up on the first appointment time. 2- I rescheduled with the admin after confirming that the service person when to another appointment after providing a time frame of arrival. After the reschedule you provided a 2 hour time window for today and still no show. Do not use their service.

We recently had to buy a new furnace and we picked Chuck's because of their genuine desire to help us in a tough time. From our estimate to installation they were very professional. The furnace was installed when we were told it would be, they were on time on the day of installation; you hardly knew the boys were here and they left a clean place after their work was done. We are very happy with our new furnace and we love Chucks Heating.

I can't say enough good things about the service we received from Kurt and the service people at Chuck's. We returned home from a vacation to no heat and two burst pipes and had someone from Chuck's there within a few hours. Over the next few days, the team replaced our boiler and water tank, repaired the pipes, and let us use space heaters to keep us comfortable until we got heat back. The crew was professional, thoughtful, willing to answer questions, and left our house spotless. We highly recommend this company.

We are very disappointed with the lack of upfront honesty regarding their charges and poor customer service. Any customer should be informed of charges and rates, especially when requested from the beginning. We had Chuck's come to our home to follow up from a recent inspection since our AC unit was not functioning correctly. Two workers came, inspected unit for a brief 20 minutes and quoted us almost $2k of fixing.
They charged us $90 for that 20 minutes - not worth the time it took them or the frustration on our end. We tried to work with Chuck to see if we could roll that charge into a future service of our unit & he wouldn't be flexible. Mind you I was 9 months pregnant & moving into a new home at the time when our AC broke, you'd think I'd get a tiny bit of sympathy (I couldn't even see my feet let alone cool down on those hot August days!) Ultimately we were frustrated with the lack of information upfront regarding costs.
We asked the receptionist when booking appointment and service techs what it would cost to have them here to inspect and they both told us not to worry about it. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Also to note; we had an independent HVAC guy come inspect it afterwards and he quoted us $400. And it works great now!

I work with Chuck's on a regular basis and have always had good experiences. I am a general contractor and frequently consult with Chuck for my heating, A/C, and plumbing work. When they schedule installs with me they always show and usually have the crew doing the work call me an hour ahead of their arrival. Communication is great when it comes from both sides.
If I have questions I call and always get answers. I also frequently need them to come to small projects on service calls and Chuck's always responds quickly and professionally. You definitely get what you pay for.

Update 5/13/18: I heard back from Chuck and he offered a $100 refund and an apology. He seems like a nice guy trying to run an honest business, I think some of the workers are just not great. Hopefully if Chuck is determined to change that he can do some additional training or replace some folks and improve customer service. But for now I am officially gruntled instead of disgruntled.

I called and made an appointment for noon today. At 12:15 I called and asked where the tech was, after 5 mins of run around, they told me the tech was on his way. I requested a time frame and was told that the tech would arrive in 15 mins. I communicated that I need to leave by 12:45 to return to work. At 12:30, no tech had arrived. I called again, confirming where the tech was, because the timeframe was getting tight.
They assured me he was close. At 12:45, there was no tech, I called again and had to cancel. With so many options for heating and air in this area, don't choose these guys. You can find a better company who values time management and can communicate properly.
